Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

I have five Play 1 speakers in my house. I love using them with Sonos or radio. I often play same music on all speakers at the same time but I always have to manually adjust volume on all speakers. I can use volume slider and it increases/decreases volume by the same amount but it won't sync the volume between speakers. Is there are "Volume Sync" functionality in iOS or Mac apps for Sonos speakers?
I love the sonos connect so much that I got one at home, at work, for my brother, for my father and for my father in law. My only complaint is that my controller is locked to one system at a time. When I move between different houses I should be able to pair the controller on my phone with their systems and have it remember me when I come back - without resetting. I've seen the tip about bringing them all to one place and setting them up together. But that's not always possible or desirable. There is no real security concern because I still have to be allowed on their network and I'd still have to push the buttons on the device. Seems like a relatively simple software problem to allow me to pair with multiple systems and remember all the systems I've paired with.
I recently bought a new PC running Windows 10 and did a new install of itunes. I synced my Sonos system and all seemed fine. Recently I bought a CD and imported it into itunes, created a new playlist and then updated the music library in Sonos. Unfortunately the new itunes playlist is not showing in Imported Playlist on my Sonos. I have read a number of articles on here and it seems to be a reasonably common issue, but none of them seemed to offer a solution. What can I do?
Is there a way to switch from tile view to a list view after I search and access any particular artist? In tile view almost all album names are truncated. Also, it would be nice (actually more than nice... it should be And a way to quickly distinguish between albums and singles should be included. For an app this old, I wonder why these basic features are not already present. Or, if they are, where did you hide them, Sonos???
The Sonos One has Amazon Alexa built in but it can’t be added to a multi-room music speakers group. Please work with Amazon to make a compromise and allow for Sonos to be added to Alexa multi-room speaker groups and vice versa. Thanks!
I seem to be one of the few people who are enjoying the new UI in 8.0. By changing the name of Sonos Favourites to My Sonos however, it's made me more aware that it is not really "mine", as I have two kids using Sonos who constantly add their own playlists and favourite albums into the list. This means my nicely curated favourites get lost amongst all the noise. Is there anyway of having multiple Sonos accounts attached to the system (we all want access to all speakers), separating out My Sonos accordingly? I guess in a similar fashion as we do with different Spotify accounts. Thanks.
Hi, I know energy is not a big topic in the US, because energy is cheap and wasted everywhere, but it is in Germany and other parts of the world. Avg spend for energy for two people in an appartment in Germany is usually anything bewteen 50 and 100 Eur/Month (energy prices are 0.25-0,30cents (EUR) per kw/h. I my setup (Playbar, 3x Play1, 2x Play3 and one Bridge) is roughly around 40kw/h on stand-by. So im spending around 90 EUR per year just for sonos stand-by. When I see that Amazon Echo dots uses 1.5W and play1 4W it feels like it could be less. Echo Dot is also always on, its always connected to wifi and keeps listening and waiting 24H/day. Some people might say "ok....Sonos is supposed to be like that..live with it..it has to be on and available all the time". I know many people using Sonos, most of them unplug them or use switches at the power plug. Why? Because all rooms are not always needed. I use one e.g. in sleeping room (because my GF lives abroad) and another one i
Will sonos support the new Samsung watch
I have a pretty open concept condo. On occasion it would be beneficial to be able to play my Sonos feed through my AirPods. For say watching TV and not disturbing others. Anyone else?
Please display volume settings as a percent or whole number
For some reason I have 2 rooms showing in the Room Settings. How do I delete one within the app? When we have to reconnect our :one units because they get disconnected in the app, it's creating a new room.
how do i delete a room
Hey! The Sonos controller won't allow me to pass an update screen but when I try to run the update it says "An exception occured during a WebClient request." I reset the controller but it didn't help and can't find another avenue through which to download the Sonos controller installer. What should I do?
My app (and Windows controller) is stuck in an endless "Check for update/No update needed" loop. I'm not enrolled in Beta. I've tried restarting my iPhone. I've tried deleting the app and uninstalling it. I've tried controlling through my PC (same issue). Help.
For the love of everything that is Holy, is there a simple way to delete a room on the Sono unforgiving app? It is unreal that feature is not readily available.
Do you have plans to ship a Windows 10 Store app which can be used from multiple Windows devices (PC, Phone, Xbox) to control the Sonos experience? We are a Windows household and the desktop controller that exists for PC today is heavy and not very touch friendly. The third party Windows Phone app, Phonos, is fills a void, but not nearly as feature rich as the Android or iOS app. This has been requested for several years (https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/support-windows-8-rt-for-surface-tablet-and-windows-phone-8-for-mobile-devices-4593709) and the product management team does not address this gap beyond a blanket we have no news statement. I understand that choices have to be made. If you do not plan to address this in the net 12 months then can you at least make your API public with your apps being first and best examples of how to use that API so others can fill the gap for you? Instead of a lot of "+1" and "me too" threads please show your support b
It would be great if you could store "scenes", i.e. predefined groups and associated volume levels. They should be as easily accessible as the 'Sonos favorites'. An example would be "party" which could group all units in the house and sets the volume at the right levels between the units. Or "watching movie" which only turns on the playbar and associated Play:3 or Play:5's in the tv room, a the right volume level and turns off all other sonos units in the house. Or "OFF" which degroups all units and puts them all on mute.
'leaving' used to be my method of exiting the sonos controller app. With version 4.0 there is no obvious way to turn off the controller...can someone help?
Every time you set an alarm the controller behaves at random. Sometimes works but more often it gives not me the chance to snooze or to stop it. By the way why not programming a touch button on the device for this purpose? Nice to act when you're still sleepy in the bed.
My app keeps asking me to update before adding a speaker but I am on the latest version and stuck in this loop. On iPhone and Android. Anyone else having a similar problem?
I hope someone can help because this is driving me nuts. The controller app my android device refuses to connect to sonos. The controller app is on 2 other android devices and 3 PCs, and they all work flawlessly. I have scoured the forum and tried everything I can think of. I have reset the controller, restarted the device, restarted the router, turned all wifi devices off restarted the router and then turned each device back on one at a time, I have given the device and the sonos fixed IP addresses, reinstalled the controller, all to no avail. It has worked intermittently previously, but now refuses to do so at all. If I reset the controller and try to reconnect it to the sonos by following the instructions to press a button on one of the speakers, it finds it instantly, but as soon as I click "done" to go back to the app, it wont connect. What else can I try? If it is relevant, the device is a Samsung s5. The sonos is on wifi rather than sonosnet, but the signal i
I understand that Sonos is working on integrating Google home and would have it released sometime in 2019. I want to know, when this happens will it also support the Playbar?
I have two Play Ones, and gaming PC with wifi and Bluetooth. With my desktop app I can play Pandora through the Sonos speakers. I have networked my computer to my ROKU TV and can play Netflix on the TV though my computer, but the audio is not shared with the speakers. Can I stream the Netflix audio through the speakers too?
Thumbs up/down for a song doesn't give the orange thumb to indicate that it's been thumbed before.
Created a Spotify playlist, how do I access it when inside Sonos?
