Hi, is there a way to play podcasts that I get from my podcast app on my Android on the sonos speakers? Also I want to listen to the Australian ABC Listen App through the Sonos speakers? I'm finding the sonos app quite limited in term of accessing apps that I normally listen through. 

I have encountered a bug that I assume has something to do with locale/encoding. I am using the Sonos Controller on an up-to-date Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) on which the phone is currently in Japanese. I have just paid for YouTube Music and have added my account, but when I tap on "YouTube Music" from my list of services, I see this page: I assume this is an error page of some sort but it isn't being displayed properly. My YouTube Music account settings have my language set to English (UK), and my region set to Canada. I have tried changing the language on YouTube Music to Japanese but this doesn't seem to fix the issue. Any ideas?

Until recently I had a number of Sonos devices but only one of them was Airplay compatible. All devices are always grouped as Everywhere. When I play sound on an Apple Ipad it would automatically be distributed to all Sonos devices. This is great. Sonos is ecouraging owners to trade up to newer devices that are Airplay compatible. So I now have 3 Sonos devices which are Airplay compatible. But now when I connect to the same Airplay device that I previously did the sound is no longer passed to all devices. The 2 new Airplay devices are removed from the Everywhere group. Why is this happening and how do I stop this? I just want all the devices to be in one group.

It would be great if we were able to disable the touch controls of the playbase but keep the touch controls active on the connected surrounds. This would prevent children from jacking up the volume on the playbase yet still allowing adults to control it on the elevated surrounds. Currently disabling the touch controls works across all of the sonos in my living room

Well Sonos, when are you going to support Apple MacOS 10.15 Catalina?

I’m sure a lot of us use old tablets to control Sonos, I use this Vizio tablet. After the recent update i’m getting a warning saying that my Android version, 6,  is not supported. There is no Android update available for this tablet. The app still works, will it stop working completely in the future?    

There was an attempted burglary on my house last week, and I'm confident they knew I had Sonos equipment and cased my house specifically to steal it. I have a ring doorbell video of a guy come up to my front porch with a crowbar at 1:40PM in broad daylight, with two guys in the background -- one small enough to fit through my small windows and another to stay on the lookout. The windows were locked and apparently the burglars were not able to pry them open and not willing to break them in broad daylight. I posted the video on Ring and did contact the police. I am in the process of beefing up security at my house. My Sonos speakers are the only high value items in the house that a thief could easily use/sell after stealing. Sonos items could fit through a small window after simply unplugging them from the wall. I purchased them within the last year. I used the Enjoy service and I am suspicious someone who had access to their records tipped off the burglar. Sonos -- you need to fix

Can I play my Sonos  playlist on someone else’s Sonos playbar?

Unfortunately, Sonos does not support the playback of hi-res audio and so NYA is not currently compatible with it. We'd certainly consider it though if the situation changes- and feel free to contact Sonos directly to let them know you'd appreciate this feature!"

Just purchased new laptop with Catalina iOS and App Store did not have Sonos App. Where can I find it? Is is findable or has Apple removed Sonos App?

Really struggling now….  spent hours going the forums and comments but I’m still no further on… got an original play1 blue and all of a sudden I can’t  play my iTunes music from my iPhone through my speaker… there’s just no option! I have deleted the app I have hard reset my Sonos speaker I have turns of restrictions. Still nothing! If I can’t get sorted then what’s the point of keeping the speaking that does play my music??    please help!!!

Hello Everyone,   After many researches, I sadly coun’t find what I was looking for anywhere. Back in the days, I like the Sonos 8.0 “loading screen” a lot. I would like to have it as a wallpaper, but I can’t manage to find it anywhere :-(  (attached a picture sample of it. I would like a wallpaper of the image behind the error message) Sonos Support Team suggested I ask my request here ! Has Sonos figured out how to block users on the same wifi from using my system that doesn’t involve putting them on a guest network?  This seems like such an easy fix by adding a password or settings to restrict what others on the same network can or can’t do.

Hi! I've turned off parental control in Sonos app but I see below that Youtube Music filtering content and when for example I listening Without Me by Halsey from Youtube Music I see 'bzzz' sound on explicit words. How can I copmpletely turn off content filtering on Youtube Music on my Sonos system?

I have 3 connects - one to a big system and one to really nice dedicated eadphone setup. 2 Sonos amps, two Play3s, one Play5, and one Playbar for my t.v. (probably my favorite). As you can see, I’m totally in on Sonos.  They all work well.  I have been wondering about a next upgrade.  When I look at the weakest in the chain - it seems to be my connects even though they all go into current DAC’s (two even are re-clocked with Empirical Audio devices). I’m eyeing an Allo DigiOne Signature for $500 (server with no amp).  BUT to go in, I must replace the software that accesses it all.  Next up seems to be Roon.  Quite a big investment but am willing to do it. My big question is - how fast is the Roon interface with a really good core.  Is it as fast at accessing tracks?  Is it as fast or even faster?

I have a Brennan CD storage system and a couple of Sonos One(gen2) speakers. How can I play the CD’s through my speakers?

I have a Sonos Move speaker and the software has not been updated for it to work with Spotify connect  yet.  Does anyone else find this annoying?  And do we know when Sonos will update the software to be compatible with Spotify Connect?

You also need the Gateway @ £20 so at a total cost of £35 this seems like a steal compared to the extortionate iPort Express product.

How do I rename a speaker from bedroom to den via my windows computer ?

Since I have already selected the recycle option to get the 30% discount on 2 new Play 5 speakers. Can  the old gen 1 Play 5 be used as a passive speaker ( no streaming) through the aux input? If not I suggest they offer this option going forward. I am extremely disappointed that  I have to spend an additional $700 to replace my old Gen 1 Play 5 speakers due to a “ software update”. 

I cannot articulate how unhappy I was to receive the email telling me that my SONOS amp connect purchased as state of the art in 2014 is now obsolete and will not receive updates. I have  a playbar as well which operates on the same controller. i am not a very tech user and do not understand what the impact will be as I only watch tv and stream Spotify music services .   i have been a real Sonos advocate and feel very let down.   id welcome advice.   yours Sam

Looking at identifying a traded and deactivated Sonos device I found this screen you can check, just replace the x.x.x.x with your IP address. Make sure to keep the http and the :1400 bits. Click the room name and then Zone Player Info to get this screen. You can see the status at the bottom, NONE means it hasn’t been traded. http://x.x.x.x:1400/support/review Traded and timer expired, deactivated. Still active and not traded unit:    

So if I decide to stay in unsupported legacy mode how will I be able to administrate my system? Will I be able to add components? (I might get components from environmental friendly people) If not what happens if I also need to reset a component? Will that be bricked? Will there be a legacy controller for all systems?  

I saw a slightly ambiguous reply last night from Sonos about this, but I would like it confirmed before I start shouting from the social media roof tops please…. I can’t afford to upgrade my 2 x Play5 G1 so I am going to be forced into the coexistence model where I have two separate Sonos systems (Legacy and Modern) on my home network. Does this mean that I will not be able to play music from a streaming service on my Modern system and then group it with speakers in the legacy system?
