Hi,I have both Sonos Play 5 (Gen 1) and Sonos Move, and put them in S1 system so that they can work together.Usually I group/un-group them at the “Room” Tab, but I notice that in the Setting - AirPlay tab, it has an option called "Group Non-AirPlay Products", it seems that to group my Play 5 with Move.I turn on/off this option, but it seems does not have any effect on my devices, I can only group/un-group them at the “Room” Tab, so my question is: What's the use of "Group Non-AirPlay Products"? Is it conflict with the group function at the “Room” Tab?
I mistakenly created three playlists for myself….can the playlist be combined into one? will duplicated songs be eliminated?I cant seem to figure it out. ThanksRex*Moderator Note: Please censor personal information when posting.*
In the most recent S2 12.1 update, we see Sonos supporting 5ghz on various products. What does that mean for existing users? And how will it affect users who incorporate mesh networks at their homes?
I cant get S2 to fully install I download then app wants to update but its to a beta program I previously asked to leave not a S2 update I cant see how to delete the beta on my system If I update to beta it tries but does not install on android or IOS. Tried on windows it says my system is not compatible as it has 1 comp that not compatible and that is clearly incorrect as I was on the S2 beta, I have uninstalled all apps then restarted by downloading S2 multiple times but just going round in a circle. Any idea how to get rid of beta? Or do I start a new system? I didnt want to do this as I will lose years of historical set up and I’ve multiple speakers I reported this on Monday when app came out but only had auto mail feedback
I see people have been requesting this for years, has Sonos just ignored it? Why can't there be an option to limit the volume on startup???
In Android 11 media apps have their controls residing above the notifications in a separate section where you van swipe left and right between controls from different apps. Sonos controls are however not in this section but are sitting between the regular notifications (see screenshot). Please include them in the proper place.
Hiya, I use spotify and rather than adding the songs i like into a playlist, i like them, meaning they are all together, under ‘Liked Songs’. Does anyone know how i can play these songs on my sonos, i can’t find a way! Thanks! Amelie
Cinemix seems to have vanished from TuneIn so, just for anyone who is missing it (I have it on almost all the time) the URL to add in Manage>Add Radio Station is http://cinemix.us/cine.asx
AirPlay doesn’t work, or takes forever to start anything. App doesn’t work spewing “can’t connect” “error” and other BS messages.Everything was fine with the older app. My setup has literally not change, except for this crap new app. Now I’m using my $100 Nokia speaker, because my $5000 Sonos setup is ******* unreachable. And do not blame this on the “network” or “router” or “user”: I’ve been running a tight performant network for the last 5 years and it only improved in these Covid times. FIX. THE. APP! Moderator Note: Edited post inline with the Community guidelines.
Hello:For the past year or so, I have had two Sonos systems between two locations. Whenever I switched locations, the Sonos controller app would dutifully switch systems. I updated both systems to the S2 controller, and everything still functioned properly. However, recently (mid-august) I have had to reset the controller on my phone (Android based) to get the software to recognize that I have switched locations. I have verified that I can control the other system remotely using my home security systems when the controller software is “confused” about it’s location. This would seem to be an issue recently introduced by a S2 software update. I do have these two locations VPN’d together, but this has always been the case, and predates either Sonos installation. Something has changed with the controller software that seems to allow it to leverage this VPN connection.
Hi, I have a SONOS Play: 1 and primarily use it to play my local music collection over DLNA / UPnP i.e. ‘Show Media Servers’ & ‘Show UPnP Servers’ then I can just browse my personal collection. If I upgrade to ‘S2’ will I still be able to do this? Thanks,
I’ve had Sonos for many years. My system grew to 8 zones and although there would sometimes be problems there was never something that couldn’t be fixed by rebooting everything from my router through switches to wired and wireless Sonos devices. Hey ho, this is the price we pay for humanity’s early steps to networking Nirvana (which probably won’t be reached in my lifetime!) Then came news of Sonos S2. After getting past Sonos’ poor initial communications, and finding that most of my devices were S2 compatible I upgraded the remaining ones and apart from being annoyed that the new Sonos Port is functionally a backwards step (no volume control buttons, no pause/play button, no optical digital output) I was ready to say ‘Hello’ to S2. I hesitated. I had a splendid multi-room sound setup feeding both simple speakers and two traditional hifi stereo systems. I didn’t want a load of hassle. Life’s too short to spend hours rebooting, deleting and adding components or hanging on the ph
I see Amazon Music added podcasts.https://www.theverge.com/2020/9/16/21439531/amazon-music-podcasts-prime-titlesAny idea when these will be playable on my Sonos speakers?
Sonos, what the heck? Why can’t I set night mode to come on at night? It’s called Night Mode. It has a picture of the moon. It’s been a feature request on here for *years*.Why can I still not schedule night mode to come on at night?
As this is my first time on here, I have no idea if this question is in the right place, but here goes. I have seen some of the other posts about the legacy product issues which I knew was happening, but this morning, for me, it went a step further. We currently have 6 zones of old products, all working fine. We gave our daughter a Sonos 1 for her birthday today. When I went to add it to the system I found I couldn’t. Operating system no longer supported. So I tried another controller, and another, and another. We have 3 phones, an ipad, an ipod touch, a Samsung Tablet A, a Z200 and a computer running windows 10. NONE of these devices will allow me to add a new component into the system. Are Sonos now bricking all the rest of my devices as well? They all work fine for everything we need to do; except now none work properly with Sonos. I was about to go and buy a cheap phone just so my daughter is not devastated that her birthday present is an absolute dud, but now the android phones ha
I love all the features on the sonos app and own like 10 speakers. But why doesen’t it provide a password function. It would litteraly solve all my problems. So fricking frustrating when people change the music.
Why cant I switch user in Sonos like switching between spotify accounts so other familymember can play in Sonos and other be listening on spotify on mobile. Always problem when I am on my mobile and my wife has to use my sonos account and my spotify so therefore music stops and it is frustrating. Is any workaround on this matter
The Sonos release notes page hasn’t been updated since the release of Sonos S2, also known as version 12.0.However, since that time, there have been several software updates to the app and the speakers, without any indication from the release notes page as to what these updates entailed. We know from this forum post that update 12.0.1 implemented a partial fix to Sonos Arc bass issues. Where else is Sonos hiding this information on a sort of half-disclosure basis? Do we know what changed in 12.0.3, or the most recent 12.0.5?I contacted Sonos Support to ask about this. The first agent said he would get back to me, and he never did. 3 weeks later, I contacted Sonos Support again and they informed me that they didn’t have any release notes to share, and that minor software updates don’t make it to the release notes page. The agent insisted that Sonos makes no changes to audio settings, sound profile, or quality with software updates. Besides this being patently untrue (see the 12.0.1 update
I have a problems with TuneIn Pro and american radio station KDRADIO.com As of today I get a regional restriction error. Any idea why? Thanks Geoff

I know this questions has been asked a couple of times in the past. I haven’t been able to locate a thread. I changed my wifi from ATT to Xfinity Wifi. Network name and password the same. Sonos App says it is unable to connect to sonos Fix it. I go through the steps to reconnect the playbar and the app continues to say “No System Found.” I have even plugged the playbar directly into the modem/router without success. Can someone point me to a thread or offer some assistance for a fix?
My song collection is 22,000 + titles. Larger than most Sonos user libraries perhaps. Sonos has a 1000 playlist and folder limit. If you have a folder with 10 different playlists, you have used up 11 of your 1000 allotment. In iTunes, I have 42 folders and 1080 playlists. I reach my playlist limit in folder 30. It is beyond annoying that this limit is set so low for me.What I don’t understand is why the limit is 1000. Sonos has a 65,000 limit on the number of tracks (does stereo count as two tracks I wonder). I get it that each song uses up incremental memory, but a list can’t be that much of a memory hog. Please comment if you have this problem. Perhaps someone from Sonos can explain the logic of a limit of 1000, or better yet, that there are plans to double the number of playlists you can have while the track limit remains as it is.
Hello! I have the following; spotify premium an echo show 8 sonos 3 playbar sonos 1 I have figured out how to get music to play through my Sonos speakers using voice commands through my echo show. When I ask the echo what song is playing it just tells me verbally what is playing but doesn’t show the album artwork or song name on the screen. Same thing if I ask for the lyrics to be shown. Just a blank screen. Any idea how this can be achieved?
Regularly when opening the Sonos S2 app on my Android Pixel 2 XL, I open it to just adjust the volume, skip a song, change the music, add a speaker to a group or remove one and I’m met with a very regular issue where the app shows me correctly what’s playing, but trying to do any of the above doesn’t cause anything to happen, and i’m then met with a popup message that says “Unable to connect to device, try again later” even though it’s clearly able to see what is playing, and the current volume state of each speaker, and the group configuration of speakers. To resolve this I often have to force close and reopen the Sonos S2 app anywhere between 1 and 5 times before I can get control over my devices. Edit: Ironically, tried to submit diagnostics reports and that failed the first 4 times. The 5th worked and the diagnostics code is 986794701.
