Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

I would very much like to see an enhancement added to the controller app, especially for the desktop. There are at least two functions I would like to see the elimination of the pop up confirmation: Update Music Library Now, and, Clear Queue. There could be others but they don’t spring to mind at the moment. My suggestion is to add a setting that would be referenced when the two functions mentioned above are used. I would describe it as an expert setting. When set to expert mode, those annoying pop up confirmations would not be presented. The end result would be a 1 button click experience where either the music library would be re-indexed or the list of items in the queue would be cleared. My thought would be to add another high level item in the Settings list after Additional Usage Data. Call it Expert Settings. When selected, the right side would present controls like those of EQ: a label “Expert Setting for:” then a drop down with a list containing “Library Update” and “Now Playing Qu
I can’t figure out the simple task of waking up to my whole home sonos audio system. It seems like if anyone watches TV or any device ungroups, which obviously both happen daily in normal use, I can’t get an alarm from all speakers. Also, I obviously need to set different speakers to different volumes for an alarm. Simple stuff, what am I not seeing?
Grazie
I just wanted to give SONOS some props for the continual evolution of its HD Radio service. From adding monthly (sometimes twice a month) updates with themed stations, new stations, special event stations, curated stations and even just tweaking and adding stations that fill gaps between different stations, I am getting more and more out of your offering every month. So thank you, keep up the great work and I look forward to what’s next each month and what more you can do with the service. Now you just need to offer a reduced annual rate instead of just monthly and the ability to listen to it via Bluetooth on our Move and Roam speakers. Thank you!
Does anyone know how to connect the Samsung One Remote control to the Sonos Playbar so that I can control the volume of the playbar? I tried various ways but can’t get it to work.... I read the the playbar has IR whereas the Samsung remote control has RF but nevertheless there seems to be a way to make them connect. Hope someone can share the ultimate solution for this issue with me!!
Can we please get some View options? This player is anything but a “mini player.” I don’t need or want to see all those options, or all that blank area there. It is super frustrating that I can’t make that window smaller. I would like it to minimise into something that showed only What’s Playing, Play/Pause/ FF, & RW. Anyone else? Thanks!
What do the 13.1.1, 13.1.2 and 13.1.3 Sonos S2 App updates include? I am asking because Sonos does not clarify these updates. Thanks in advance for any answers
Sonos has stopped working with my Synology NAS because NTLMv2 is not supported. Can pressure be put on Sonos?
I have searched for this in various ways and haven’t found a solution. When I am on Sonos app on iPhone, I am trying to control individual volume of a room when grouped. I touch the volume slider for the group and the individual rooms will reveal themselves above the group slider. Before I can slide volume of an individual room, the sliders collapse back to the group volume slider. They pop up, I try to quickly select the slider for a room but over half the time it collapses again before I can make a change. I have tried on different iPhones and an iPad with same problem. The desktop on my iMac works fine but sometimes I need to adjust individual room from iPhone app.I have restarted app multiple times, deleted app and reloaded, restarted Sonos system, and so far nothing fixes the problem. Please help.
I’m using Qobuz now and “I think” it sounds better when using Qobuz app then Airplay to SONOS ARC. I know it’s what you feel but which way is better…SONOS APP TO QOBUZ OR QOBUZ VIA AIRPLAY?
Since I only found posts about this topic from a year ago or older, I wanted to check if there has been any progress for volume normalization when using a third party app (in my case Spotify). The setting for it in the Spotify app is only applied on the device youre changing it on. Because those settings are not accessible in the Sonos app, there is no way to set it for my brand new Sonos setup (neither through Spotify nor Sonos). The result is that the volume of the music varies frequently; often just slightly, but regularly its very noticeable. It happens often enough to degrade the user experience considerably.
Hi,This type of question has been asked a few times over the years but not since the newer gen speakers have come out (I couldn’t find anyway). I have a set up in my ‘Hut’ (aka…party shed) where I have a Arc sounder, 2 Sonos 1’s (Gen 2) and a Sub (Gen 3). I keep my XDJ-RX in side the house but would love to bring it out sometimes, is there a way I can link it in to the Sonos setup, I have read elsewhere about the delay, but if I had a hard wired connection in to the Arc would the delay still be there?
Hi Sonos Team,hi Community,as I’m using the Calm streaming service a lot for meditation I would really like to see 7Mind (https://www.7mind.de) in the future on my sonos app as another streaming service for mental wellbeing…. It is similar to Calm but with much more content...
I used to be able to use a Folder in my music library as a source for my Alarm music, but that is no longer an option. I am using Sonos Generation 1. Any insights are appreciated.
My poor dog is freaked out every 4th of July by fireworks going boom around us. I understand that it is just not just my dog. I would like to come up with a program that Sonos could play that every once in while it would randomly go BANG! That way our animals will get used to the fireworks and not be bothered. Does anyone know how we can make this happen? Thanks.

I have a small Sonos system, consisting of two Play5's (Gen 1), configured as a stereo pair and installed in a large living space, and a recently acquired One SL, installed in an attic. The Play5 installation has performed flawlessly for several years. Its Music Library resides in two shared music folders on my wifi network: a NAS drive and a MacBook Air.When I acquired the One SL, I followed the procedure for setting up a split S1/S2 system. First I reverted the Play5's to their original status. Then I set up the One SL, using the S2 controller app running on my iPhone. As part of that setup, I pointed the Music Library to the two network shares, and that setup recognized both shares and allowed me to successfully index the library. The S2-based One SL system is currently running perfectly and can access all music on both shares.I then successfully reinstalled the two Play5's, using the S1 controller app, also running on my iPhone. I linked them as a stereo pair, also successfully. But I

Hi Team, When I wanted to add service, I cannot find qq music in the option while I found on your website that QQ music should be supported by Sonos device. Could you pleaes advise how I can add it? Regards, Scott
A good number of Sonos folks have their music libraries on WD NAS drives so I’m sharing this tip here.https://community.wd.com/t/action-required-on-my-book-live-and-my-book-live-duo/268147 WDC Tracking Number: WDC-21008Product Line: WD My Book Live and WD My Book Live DuoPublished: June 24, 2021 PRODUCT SECURITY BULLETIN UPDATEWestern Digital has determined that some My Book Live devices are being compromised by malicious software. Hi there, I just bought the Sonos Amp to connect it to my speakers (which are from a different company). My speakers are quite big, but for the sake of my neighbors I do not use them at full volume. However, when I try to use the touch bar on the Sonos Amp, the sound effects are incredibly loud! It is like the sound effects are blasted at a significantly higher volume than the actual music and this makes the touch bar unusable for me. Actually I do not care for the sound effects in general, but there seem to be no option to disable only the sound effects, but only the buttons in total. I disabled the buttons now, because I simply cannot use them this way, but this solution is not really satisfying. I found some topics on this questions and it seems like there used to be no option, but these threads were rather old and the topics are closed. Thus, I’d like to know if there is any update and maybe now there is an option to do this? Or is Sonos at least planning this feature? I am
Hi All,This is an odd problem, at least for me. We have four 6th Gen Fire HD8 tablets. Three of them connect to Sonos with the app, no problem. One, however, does not. It used to, but no more. I did all the usual: First, I reset the Fire tablet. No luck. Then I wiped the Fire tablet and started all over. No joy. Multiple uninstalls and re-installs of the Sonos app. Nothing. The Wi-Fi on the tablet works perfectly. The Sonos app (S1) connects to the existing system, but then repeatedly, invariably reports “We can't connect to Sonos”. Router was rebooted. No effect. Seems like a strange problem considering that the Fire tablet otherwise functions perfectly including the Wi-Fi. And that all the other Fire tablets (same model, same OS) connect easily to Sonos. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thank you. Matteo
I want to stay with the the original sonos app but I am not getting the option to do so. it does not appear in the Learn More section as instructions say it will. Any one else have this issue?
With Apple confirming that Airplay 2 will now be capable of streaming 24/192 to an end point with a capable DAC will Sonos be making plans to support this?My own end point is a Sonos Amp which i believe at the moment is only capable of 16/44 through Airplay 2.Does Sonos have any plans to support Apple Music’s 70 million customers who from June will be able to stream in Hi-Res?
I am having issues establishing Apple Music / I-tunes from an I-phone on the Sonos Move. During set-up, when trying to add Apple Music the menu asks if I’m already a member. After clicking this button, instead of showing the “Apple ID” password login, a screen asks if I want a free trial. After clicking “not now”, the screen disappears. Any suggestions. Thanks.
