I want to add Shared Music Folder for music that is on my Synology NAS (DS720+).

When I try to add the NAS shared folder (Shared Folder via File Station) I get either error 900 or 1001.

Note: I do not use the cloud capabilities of the NAS. The NAS is only accessible on the local network.

This is what I was doing on IOS Sonos App

Settings > System > Music Library > Music Library Setup > Add Shared Music Folder

Path: \\192.168.3.110\music
(and supplied username and password)

ok, Sonos (seems to) only support SMB1 file shares.

If you’re in the Synology Admin do the following

Control Panel > File Services > SMB/AFB/NFS > SMB
1. Ensure that the SMB service is enabled
2. Open the “Advanced Settings” (in the SMB section)
3. Change the “Minimum SMB Protocol” to SMB1
4. Click Apply and follow the prompts to enact the change
5. Go back into the Sonos app and add the Shared Music Folder
