Hi,Several of the search tabs in the S1 android app are causing the app to crash for me. In particular, Podcasts and Shows, Genres, Stations and perhaps a few others. Unaffected are Artists, Songs, and Albums. I can switch to the tab successfully, but when I start typing, the app unceremoniously closes. I’m on a Galaxy S9+. Anyone else experiencing this?I tried clearing the cash as well as reinstalling the app to no avail. Thanks,Stuart
Hi allI know there was much written about SONOS and STP and I have read all (as far as found) in the German and English community.I have no chance to get it run on my network. As soon as I connect the second SONOS to the LAN the network goes down.I tried to get assistance from SONOS and Netgear (the switches I use). No chance.I really would like to understand where the problem is.Maybe there is somebody who could help/assist? Would be very graetful.Thanks.This is my network:
I have recently purchase an 85Q70T and trying to program the remote to control the volume for my Playbar. I’ve replaced the remote with Samsung, gone through the set up a number of times, Sonos blames Samsung, Samsung blames Sonos - anyone else find a fix for this?
I am running the S2 App on an iphone. I have a Beam and two Play1s connected as a surround sound system and a Play One in my office. None are wired, so I am using a wireless setup. I find that several times a day my app loses connection to the system, then it pops back up again. During this loss, the speakers still playy music (manually using volume up/down or pause play on the speaker also works) They also respond to Alexa OK when hte App loses them, So it looks like the speakers are connected OK to the router. It is an app connection issueto the sysyem. So I have removed and re-installed the S2 app. I have removed and setup the sonos system as new, I have turned off my router (left for 5 mins with no poweer) and ensured that I am using Channel 11 on the router. Still no joy. I culd wire my Beam to the router as they are close. IS that worth trying, or does anyone else have any other ideas?Oh, and I have spent some time with Sonos support but it didnt help. I’m entirely sure he under
I have five Sonos One/SL speakers, with two of them being in a stereo pair. I also have a Sonos Move. Since all of my devices are current generation products and I have an enterprise grade mesh WiFi network in my home (Unifi) I didn't think I would have any issues upgrading the system to S2. 90% of my listening is initiated with Alexa and is playing music from Spotify. Unfortunately I have experienced continuous problems with all of my devices since doing this upgrade. Devices drop off network L+R device will show a ? for one of the two speakers or only one of the two speakers will play. Alexa mysteriously stops working on devices. Can’t group devices for playback… one or more device won’t play at all even though the system sees it. Sometimes Sonos S2 app shows that a device is participating in group playback but also that the device is still available for another music session. I have rebooted devices multiple times, restarted the app, unpaired and repaired services (Alexa,
hello can someone help set up my sonos speakers as default speakers for my laptop and possibly tablet running windows 10 so I can use them when online when streaming youtube videos etc… I have the sonos app set up for sptify and youtube music already and that works fine
I recently added a Sonos Five and turntable to my system. The turntable is plugged into the speaker via Line-in. When I stream music to the Five (or to a group that it is in), I have to click play multiple times. At first it looks like it is going to start playing the queue, but then it just stops. Also if I pause, it loses track of where in the song it paused and I have to start the song over. It’s a minor grievance, but wondering if anyone else has encountered this and has a solution.
We have 2 Mac desktop computers in our house, both running Mac OS 10.4.6 (Mojave),ITunes 12.9.5.5.We have a Sonos Beam with 2 Sonos One Speakers and a Sonos sub.We are using Sonos App 12.2.2 and everything is S2.One of our desktop Macs (a MacBookPro) can play music via iTunes/Airdrop to the Sonos system without any problem. However the other Mac (an iMac) is unable to connect to the Sonos system, even when the MBP is turned off. We just get a message that iTunes in the iMac is unable to find a system to connect to.Both computers are on the same wireless network with wifi turned on.Can anyone help us figure out why one computer’s iTunes can connect via AirPlay 2 and the other one cannot? This would help in fixing the problem.thanksCaroline
where do I get my play 5 repaired? speaker mounting plate is cracked causing distortion of the sound??super tough getting through to the customer service at Sonos..
I have 2 play 1 speakers. They run from a sonos bridge which is wired into my Orange live box via ethernet cable. I also have another access point in another room which is hardwired back to the bridge. I use Sonos mainly for my own library stored on an Apple Mac Pro. The whole set up is absolutely hopeless. Works fine during daytime but in the evening constantly drops out for up to an hour, fades comes back. I live in an old stone house with a fairly low download speed of around 5 mgb per second but I would not think the download speeds should make any difference as I play from my own library. I would appreciate any ideas on how to solve this issue.
Hi! I hace a sonos move with red white flash and not working. What can i do??thanks
Have had Sonos one for over a year. It keeps cutting out such that we have given up using it. We use Amazon Alexa. Diagnostic report 21005175
I have been running S1. I added an ARC, so I removed everything from S1 and migrated those components I could to S2. I want to maintain a split system, but when I open the S1 app, I am prompted to “Open Sonos S2 app.” One of the “More options” is to Reset App. Is that what I want? Otherwise, I don’t see how to get back to an S1 environment.Under S2, I am running a Boost, Arc, and two wireless Play 3s. My incompatible components are two Connect Amps and two wireless Play 5s. I still have the old Bridge that was replaced by the Boost. Can I use the Boost to control both S1 and S2 (I think the answer is no)? Can I add the old Bridge back in? What other solution is there to maintain a split system? Add a second Boost? Thanks so much so much for any guidance you can give me!John
I have a Benq HT2050 projector that I am trying to (re) connect to my Sonos Playbar and two Sonos:1s. My set up has worked in the past, but when I recently replaced the lamp in the projector and hooked it back up the Playbar no longer receives audio input. The projector itself has a small built-in speaker which still works (it can’t be turned off), but for the past year or two that has been the case without interfering with the Playbar for playing TV audio. I use an HDMI Switch, to which the projector is connected (via HDMI out), AppleTV is connected (via HDMI in) and the Playbar is connected (via audio optical). I tried resetting the Playbar and replacing the audio optical cord (which does show the red light) but have had no luck. When I check the “About My System” there is no audio signal being received by the Playbar. Appreciate any guidance—we miss our sound system.
My network seems to be working quite well. I recently added a new Play One SL and was curious about my Sonos network so I pulled up the network matrix. My Living Room (LF, RF), Living Room (SW) and Deck are connected via ethernet. Deck is actually a Connect:AMP that sits near my server cabinet. None of the other speakers are on WiFi except for the move. I connect them to ethernet to setup and that is it.I assume the red boxes are bad. What can I do to improve that?
I have a spit system, numerous connects, boost, play1’s all have been updated to S2. I have an S1 pair of Sonos 5’s. My iOS S2 app locates the S1 5’s and won't launch the S2 app. S1 app launches fine. This is very frustrating. I may have to reset all my S2 components and downgrade them to the S1 app. Anyone else having this challenge? My Mac computers S2 apps are stable and recognize my s2 equipment. The S1 mac app won't recognize my S1 5’s. Arg!
Beyond annoyed with Sonos products. Sound quality is fine, but lets be real, the app is fair and the tech is abysmal. Works one day, and the next minute fails to find and have to set up everything yet again. Please, do yourself a favor, do not buy these products.
When you cast something using it to a Sony TV x950h is the sound not as loud. Seems like I have to turn it up a lot louder to hear it. i have the new Sonos Arc and Gen 3 Subwoofer. Just got this today with the new TV. I am at 53 volume to hear it.
Hi, I recently moved from using the old Bridge to using S2. Since then the connection has been unstable for most of my Sonos speakers; it either doesn’t play, or keeps stopping. We use a mesh wifi system in the house, and we also have issues with Alexa connectivity now. Its intermittent, although she says she is doing something it doesn’t actually happen that often. I would much appreciate a solution to the above, and understand we will have to work through a number of diagnostics first. I’ve ruled out as much as possible within my knowledge base.
Hello - I have AT&T Fiber internet and a tech recently came out to fix some connection issues. He also recommended merging my 2.4ghz and 5ghz network. Before this, my Sonos system was set up on the 2.4ghz network. Now that network no longer exists and both networks have identical names/passwords, I’m having major problems getting my Sonos to connect to wireless. I read through this (after I factory reset all of my Sonos equipment which apparently I shouldn’t have done ). I ran an ethernet cord from an additional wireless access point directly to my Playbar, and my system is setup. However, when I try to connect my Sonos to wireless now as I need to move the additional access point to another room, it keeps saying I have an invalid password when connecting to my network (the password is correct). While my channel selection for the 2.4ghz network is set to automatic, each time I've checked the channel it has been on 6 or 11.I had no issues setting up Sonos on the 2.4ghz network so I
I am having issues connecting to iHeartRadio and Sonos radio.. When I try and connect to either I get a message that says “Sonos (or iHeartRadio) needs to be re-authorized. I “re-authorize” the account and I try and connect again and it does the same thing ALL over again… It worked when I originally set the system up about 6 weeks ago. Now it’s stopped. I have reset the speaker. Deleted and re-installed the app. Reset the modem. Updated both the Sonos app and the Sonos speaker. (Both were up to date) Still the same issue…… Customer support is lacking/disinterested. Hoping maybe someone has an idea… This thing is beginning to be more trouble than it’s worth...
Hello, one of our clients uses SONOS products in their building, its like a 30 devices, from ONEs to AMPS, Beams and Bars. Two sonos gateways. Whole devices was on LAN cable, but after adding Beam to the controller whole system crashes, older devices starts to disappear. After putting everything on wifi it seams to stabilize but after some time i notice that on my ping program the whole system loses connection instantly, like a switching On and Off. Maybe you can suggest a solution or if there is some specific way to manage all these devices.P.s. Amps are not even added to controller yet, do not know what will happen after we add them...
Hello. Folks here have been very helpful. Thank you for that. May I ask for some help? I recently added 4 new devices to my Sonos set-up. They are noted here as Reagan’s Room, Classroom, and GarageA and Garage D. Only these new devices seem to be coming back as Undefined and in white boxes. I’ve tried to find whether this is normal or important (problem) and I’m confused. Is this a problem? I have some devices by ethernet where I can and others relying on wireless. The only issues I’ve had involve: I had two drop-outs of audio last week for about 30 seconds. I’ve had issues where my Sonos controller on the iPhone (the one I use the most) is very slow to connect to the entire system and even play/pause seems to have glitches. Had to re-start the app a few times. Otherwise, I’ve tended to play just fine. Some of my “orange” zones go back/forth between red/orange/green (connected by ethernet) but I haven’t worried to much about them as otherwise all seemed to work. Thank
I have hooked up a brand new Amp with my sweet hand-crafted 1980s Klipsch KG4s. I have Treble down to -10 and Bass up to +10. The highs bleed my hears and the bass isn’t has heavy as the rear 16” sub should be putting out. They are 4 ohms speakers. Any ideas?
Acquired some used ZonePlayers(ZP120, ZP90) from my neighbor and unable to manage them using the S1 app, because the software on the device is so old ( 14.5-40190c ). Getting error 11 when trying to initiate SW update. Can’t even send diagnostics, but, using the mini controller I am able to get the device to play ‘radio’ so that leads me to think the network connection is ok.In any case, I’ve simplified the network setup and have the ZP directly connected to the cable modem, no wifi router in the middle, and still no luck.
