Hi there-i have five sonos amps, an arc, a sub, and several wireless speakers. We have a repeating problem with one sub only, and which appears to be something a lot of other customers are dealing with. The problem is that I get a loud pop sound followed by a loss of all audio in that zone until the power is cycled. I ran a diagnostic report just now and that number is 237153753. the amp is connected to two sonance speakers in ceiling and hard wired. Two other zones were playing the same music last time the problem occurred and only the one zone had the issue. That’s the same zone which had the issue before and the only one to have that problem so far. Thanks in advance.
When playing music after a while my surrounds are out of sync with the front speakers (playbase). I have searched the topic & this was an issue a while ago that was supposedly resolved. Is this an issue that has popped up again? The surround speakers (play 1) are wirelessly connected. Would connecting wired Ethernet fix things?
Hello,My Sonos Play 3 has out of nowhere just stopped working, does not power on at all, no lights. Was working fine throughout christmas. Annoying.Just spoke to someone on the chat and advised it was a power on failure? Is this a common fault? As my brothers Play 1 experienced the same thing?I wasnt given much help apart from 15% off via the upgrade progamme. But i wouldnt expect a product like this to have such a short life span. If this suddenly happened with the rest of my sonos system this would be a very expensive upgrade. Is there any other options available or a repair?Hope you can helpThanks
I’ve tried everything and nothing will make sound go from turntable to speaker. Please help!!!!
Repeat All issue / Duration
Hi All. I have two Five paired stereos. I have been using one for a long time and decided to buy another one. This is where the problem begins. The newer Five has an audible difference in sound from the older one, there is hardly any bass, compared to the older one. The EQ and Trueplay settings do not change anything. Is it normal? Maybe the newer speaker needs time to start playing like the older one? The difference is really audible. P.S. I used the translator for this post. I dont speak English very well:)
Our Sonos One has been decreasing it's volume on its own and I cannot locate where it is being turned down from..I submitted a diagnostic like I saw suggested in similar topics. The number is 1936062066 Cheers
Hi, I just want to inform others that the latest firmware for ASUS RT-AX58U, released on the 26th ofNovember, will make the Sonos speakers stop working (Confirmed on Play:1 and Play3).I have tried to factory reset the speakers and reconfigure them but without success.I don’t exactly know what is causing this, but a roll back to previous firmware resolved the issue.
Hi folks, I am trying (and failing) to get my system to recognize my Sonos Boost. The Boost is not a new device. It has been used by this network before. I have been running my Sonos system on my regular Wi-Fi router network, but I want to go back to using my Boost. My system:Four Sonos OnesSonos BeamSonos SubSonos Boost My wireless router is an Arris. It has two distinct bands, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Which Sonos devices do you already have? Four Sonos Ones, a Beam, Sub and Boost Is one of them cabled to your router? Not when I am running in standard mode, but yes (Boost only) when the Boost is providing the network. What is the make and model of your router? Arris TG1682 Do you use any WiFi Extenders? No (unless you count the Boost as one) Which controller device are you trying to do this from (where is the app installed)? On my iPhone. I use the original Sonos app.Error message: Not connected (See screenshot)Steps taken:Tried to add Boost via S1 app; followed all instructions Checked t
Been using Sonos for 10+ years. Have large system, mostly older play1s, play5s and 2 playbars….all over the house in 10 zones…Occasionally get usual drop outs….but usually quickly fixed. However, this evening, my sonos system has dropped/lost BOTH of my playbars.Never had any issues with either. One has white light on, can’t reset, no sound. The second has sound but can’t see it in the system/app….and won’t reconnect to app.Have tried multiple resets/system and router reboots/reconnect….nothing works.WTF????NOTHING has changed on my home wifi set up….everything else including speakers much further away from the router still working fine.Very suspicious that both playbars have lost connection in the same day!?!?!Thoughts/advice??
Happy New Year :)As per title, Amazon music (Family) has started over the last week to skip on every track after 5-30seconds. This happens on all Play:One speakers. Other services don’t seem to be effected - currently listening to my library via iBroadcast with zero issues.Diagnostics from this morning: 1975614706All looks fine on the network which is Netgear Orbi based with three statellites - i’m using Sonos with that network as it’s solid with good coverage on all speakers.Help appreciated as the Amazon situation is really annoying. Tracks play fine from the amazon app
I was watching TV when suddenly the Playbar stopped working. I can play music through my Playbar via the Sonos app, but am getting no sound from the tv. Oddly enough, when I use the volume controls on my remote (Harmony One), volume down button registers (white light) with the Playbar, but not volume up. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks in advance.
My music folder on the PC has 200-250 albums, my Sonos indexes this folder with no problem at all, well it did until the last few days. I have now ripped 4 new Cd’s, copied them into said music folder and ran “Update Music Library Now”. Two of the four Cd’s have appeared with album name, artwork, track info etc, the other two are nowhere to be seen within the Sonos environment. I can “see” all four albums using file explorer, I can play all four albums using VLC, so why did the “update music library” miss out two CD’s?I have ran “update music library” numerous times, but to no avail. Can anybody help?
I have google the reason for this a few times. My outdoor speaker randomly turns on at night and rather loudly. I never really found a reason until tonight…… I had a look at my surveillance camera right beside it and found that a gecko had been running all over the top of it! I tested it out and the softest of motion across the top of the speaker turns it on. Tomorrow we will try flipping the speaker upside down and see if that stops it from happening. This may be the answer to others who have had this experience!
Gen 1. Have had so many troubles with it that I stopped using it for long stretches. Trying again and now the only thing I can get out of it is an orange light on front when I connect a USB C charger (base doesn’t work). Factory reset instructions did nothing. No other combination of buttons gets any response.*** EDIT: It’s a ROAM, not a BEAM. My frustration level is causing me confusion LOL. ***Thanks,DK
Hi all, yesterday I’ve changed my wifi (router and internet provider) at home.If I open the sonos app from my phone the “System” voice is greyed out (see image below, sorry for the italian). The alert I see (“impossibile trovare il Sonos System”) does not fix the problem: it can find my sonos device, I push the back button but the it can’t find the device.Another problem is that I have the old wifi but without internet adn if I try to connect my phone to the old wifi I can select “System” and try to change the wifi connection of my Sonos envirorment but the procedure stops when the app checks it the the app itself is updated. This is frustrating.I’ve also tried to reset the Sonos One device: 1. unplug the power; 2. press the back button; 3. keep pressing the back button while plugging the power. Nothing. Any suggestion?can you please help me?
Hi All. I have had my Sonos Arc for some time now now, would say about 7 months and it has recently developed a whole host of problems. Some of which have been fixed, but the there is huge problem with the audio popping and crackling while browsing content in Netflix. Currently using and Apple TV 4K, not the latest generation, the generation right before. And everyone I switch to preview another show or movie, the audio coming from the Arc pops or crackles. I have all hdmi 2.1 cables. And everything is set up correctly. So not sure what the problem is, just afraid that this will cause damage to the speaker long term if it keeps happening. I have already done a full reset for the system with a Sonos tech, and this did not fix the problem.
I have a Playbar from 2015 that suddenly stopped working. The white light is solid when plugged in but doesn’t react to any type of reset. I’ve tried the hard reset but the white light stays on. I’ve spoken twice to Sonos customer service and have tried everything. They told me there’s nothing that can be done and that the Playbar software is essentially broken and that I have to buy a new one. I’ve even tried restarting with an ethernet cable plugged in but without success. Any further ideas or is it just a dead piece of electronic now?
My indexing is no longer working properly. I have been using the same NAS share for about 15 years with Sonos but this just started happening a few days ago. I only see a small fraction of my folders and songs in my genres now. I removed the share a couple days ago and re-added but it has now happened again. Re-adding my share takes what seems hours. I also do not believe I am anywhere near the song ljnit as there are approximately 20K songs on the share. Also sometimes I will not see a folder but then can move it to another folder, re-index and then I will see it.
I’m having difficulties using my new Sonos Arc with Airplay. The Arc is connected to the same network as my phone, however it is not listed as an airplay device. Additionally, when I look at airplay settings in the Sonos App, the message ‘no compatible products found’ is listed under Airplay Compatible Products. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi and bluetooth which doesn’t seem to help. All other apps seem to be working with the Arc, for example Alexa and Spotify. Any ideas for how to get it working with Airplay? Thanks in advance!!
Hi we have an arc sub and rears in living room and a pair of Sonos Ones in bedroom. Asus Router and Ai mesh system. Randomly individual items disconnect or drop out for no apparent reason. Internet is fines, Wifi appears stable ?
Until very recently I had my Sonos system connected to my NAS through a Raspberry Pi, as this got around the problem of having NFS on the NAS and Samba on the Sonos. It worked great.I had no issues playing music off of it, but when I added music to the server and re-indexed the new music was not showing up. I tried removing the music library and re-adding it, and I was not able to re-add it.Now when I try to add the music folder, it asks me for the username and password, which it accepts. I get a notice saying “music” is now set up on your Sonos system I see “Music Library - Indexing...” show up on my music sources window. On the Music Library Settings page, I see the spinning wheel with “Updating Music Library… Please wait.” After a few minutes, the “Music Library - Indexing...” disappears from the Select a Music Source tab. The Music Library Settings page still shows the spinning wheel (this continues indefinitely until I close and reopen the Sonos controller.I have no issues reachi
Hello, i have issues with Sonos One SL and wi-fi: the speaker disconnecting after 5,10,15 min, no matter. Wired it works fine. After disconnecting i must reboot speaker or just connect it to internet cable. I try change wi-fi channel on sonos app, change channels on router config - no luck. I think, that Sonos lost wi-fi connection, when around is others networks. My friend have same issues with two speakers. After he move to village, where is no others network around - problem gone. I use tp-link3600 with latest dd-wrt drivers. diagnostic number: 1563495517. thanks,
I consistently get this error whenever I try to change any audio source or change roomsI can change volume for the existing selections onlyI have 5 amps and if I power cycle all the amps I am able to make changesBut only one selection will work after the reboot and then its back to the same problemI have Sonos OS S1
Hi folks, I've looked at many threads on the topic of low volume. I have already looked at all the resistors in the small circuit that is for the amplifiers and measured them. They are all ok.Except for the Mosfet (Q27621), I don't know how to measure it and what kind of results have to come out. Can you help me with this? And where would I get this mosfet if it was defective? Are there any other sources of error for the low volume?
