2nd router

There is a room in my house that does not get wifi but has a hard wire, I have have added a 2nd wireless router to sort this issue, however this means I can't access my sonos services, is there a way I can adjust the router or sonos settings to have access to sonos from that wifi.

Sonos Connect (Not Connect AMP) and ROKIT 4 G3

Hello, I am considering adding a Sonos Connect (not Connect AMP) to my Sonos setup at home. It should output using the analog RCA to a pair of ROKIT 4 G3 (http://www.krksys.com/krk-studio-monitor-speakers/rokit/rokit-4.html) I was wondering if it would work? I know that the Rkit is powered, but the Connect is meant to be attached to a receiver and not directly to speakers. Any idea? Thanks

Connecting Sonos to Alexa Dot

Connected Alexa via Yonomi App, however she cannot follow my music command like volume control. My Alexa app shows she is connected to all my Sonos components . Any ideas?

What to do with Play1 now I have Alexa?

So about a year ago I bought into sonos with a play1 in the kitchen. Great speaker, play Spotify and all good. Then came Alexa dot into the kitchen, excellent device and the way ahead, can play Spotify, radio etc all with a simple command. Sound is pretty crap though. Can't connect dot to sonos as latter has no connectivity options. So I have an excellent music interface (Alexa dot) and an excellent speaker (play1) but they don't connect. Alexa voice is the way I'm going for ease of use. I could buy an echo for bit better sound quality, or wait for next round of products. But what do I do with what's becoming a redundant play 1? It's like having a smartphone with no touch screen.

Placement of the PlayBar - side of the tv?

hey everyone, I am designing a wall from my TV, this wall will have a fireplace below the TV, the goal for the wall is simplicity. Ideally, I'd like to just have the fireplace recessed into the wall, and the TV above it. That being said, what are the issues or drawbacks to positioning the PlayBar on top of a cabinet that is directly to the right of the TV? from the right edge of the TV to the start of the cabinet will is about 6-8 inches.

DJ setup with Connect

Hi I have turntables & a Traktor z2 mixer plugged in (with phono cables) to a Sonos connect, playing wireless from 2x grouped play1 speakers. I'm experiencing a lot of delay between the music I can hear directly through my mixer (with headphones attached) and the music that plays through songs speakers; causing beat matching issues etc. Is there anything I can do to improve this? I ran a diagnostic & the number is 5248173. Thanks, Alex

Placement Adjustment, What is it?

In the Sonos App for my Ipad, under the Sub settings is an option to enable placement adjustment. I can't find any information on this, not even in the manual - unless I've overlooked something? Could somebody please give me a semi detailed explanation? Thanks!

Vintage setup - naked end speaker wires

Hello friends. I have an old Sansui G-4500 Pure power Stereo Receiver (connected) to a Dual turntable and an AKAI cassette deck) and I am considering replacing the speakers with Sonos equipment. I believe I need CONNECT with my set-up, not CONNECT AMP. My speaker wires are older school, i.e. naked ends both sides. And the Sansui has a set-up to receive naked wire ends at the back. What do I do? Do I get speaker wire with RCA in one end, and naked wire ends at the other? Do they exist? I appreciate your input and i hope I am clear in my question.

Turntable dropping out

My issue is I have three Play 1's and one Connect with a turntable/preamp connected to it. My internet/router is plugged into a single Boost and I direct connected my Connect to the Boost. My turntable cuts out though and I have to jack the volume way up. I'm wondering if I have it set up correctly. Might need some walking through. Help!

I would love to be able to use wireless headphones with Sonos. Is there a way to make this work, or perhaps Sonos is considering developing this?

Connect:Amp, Bose 251s, and Ohms Question

I have a pair of Bose 251s out in the backyard. I just purchased the Sonos Connect:Amp. After the fact, I noticed that the Boase 251s are rated 6 ohms and the Connect:Amp is rated 8 ohms. I'm not too familiar with the ohms issue, but know enough that I risk burning out the amp. Can the Connect:Amp safely power the Bose 251s?

Play SONOS directly from iTunes

Can SONOS systems play directly from a Mac iTunes without having to use the SONOS apps and update the SONOS music library via this app? The systems are connected to the same WIFi. If not, why not?

Two Connects? Three?

I'm just about to take the Sonus plunge. I have two different receivers in the house: A pioneer sc-65 with surround sound set-up and and a Denon AVR-2808 with a couple bookshelf Bose speakers. I'd like to utilize the existing speakers attached to both receivers. Is that possible? Would I just attach a Connect to reach of the two receivers? Would the music stay in sync? I also have a separate pair of Klipsch speakers sitting around....could those attach as well with a Connect-AMP? I'm just not sure if I'm limited to one connect or if multiple connects can work and stay in sync. thanks for the help!

Boost coverage

My house has thick walls and wifi signal is always an issue, I of course consider buying Boost; however, what if it does not extend the signal sufficiently? Is there a way to add any other Boosts or other kind of extenders?

Recently experienced a close lightening strike and connect:amp connected to outdoor pool speaker is now blinking alternate amber and white lights. System recognizes amp but can't play music. Help!?

Can I use the SUB in 2 different configurations?

So here's the deal. I have 2 PLAY:5 (Gen 2) and have set it up in my living room in vertical orientation for listening to music, and have also connected the TV to one of the speaker using LINE-IN. The music listening is great, the TV part could do with some improvements, as all I am getting is STEREO sound. So, I will get a PLAYBASE, A SUB and 2 PLAY:1 to create the 5.1 surround system, and that will be my primary means of listening to TV. However, I also love my PLAY 5 for music, and would like to use the SUB to double up as part of the music experience. So what I would like to do is this: MUSIC Configuration: PLAY 5 + PLAY 5 + SUB TV: PLAYBASE + SUB + PLAY 1 + PLAY 1 Can I seamlessly setup the system so that the SUB automatically switches between the above configurations?

Connecting TV to connect:amp with optical audio cable

Hi there, I have a new Samsung TV which only has an optical audio port (not the old fashioned headphone socket). I have a Sonos Conect:amp, connected to speakers, which I want to connect to the TV so I can play TV sound over the speakers. I bought an optical audio cable and an analogue to digital audio converter. I've wired it all up as follows: 1. TV to converter using optical audio cable 2. Converter to Connect:amp using the two-socket (red and white) analogue cable. But when I turn the TV onto the optical audio output mode - and check on my Sonos app that line in is playing - I still can't get sound! Any idea what's going on? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks

LOVE Smart Turntable & Sonos Connectivity

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had any information about the LOVE Turntable. It's a current Kickstarter Project which is really taking off. I have backed it as it looks very smart and a unique take at a turntable. Wondering if there are any thoughts for / against? The advert for it also states that it will be picked up as an input on the Sonos app without any adapters etc. Mostly, i'm just looking to find out if this is 100% accurate and going go happen and whether anyone at Sonos could confirm? I'd hate to buy it and find that it doesn't work with anything I have... Echo Dot and Sonos

I'm currently using an Echo via line in and all works pretty well. Just today though, I've noticed that the Echo is ungrouping my office and kitchen speakers (Echo in kitchen) as the Echo must be sending the odd pulse which is switching the kitchen to the line in input. Anyone know how to prevent this (save unplugging it which would certainly cure it!)? Thanks
