Is Sonos ever going to refresh their Connect and Connect Amp? If they are thinking about it they may want to look at what Yamaha has done with their wxc-50 and wxa-50 modules. They seem to have everything but MQA

I might be jumping the gun here, but I want to have my ducks in a row in advance. My Sonos collection is growing fast. Started with a 5 a couple of weeks ago, added a Play a week later and now according to UPS tracking, I will be receiving my Sonos 5.1 system tomorrow. Everything seems to be incredibly simple to set up, but I am not sure of one thing. I will be adding another Sonos 5 for a stereo system in the same room as the home theatre. How do I get the subwoofer (only) to play with my two Sonos 5 speakers setup as a separate stereo system? As an aside, I will be adding the second 5 as soon as I get the 5.1 system set up.

Hi all, I currently have a DAB radio connected to a connect amp via line in. The connect amp is grouped with a couple of other speakers / connect amps so when the DAB radio is turned on it is played in all zones. I was looking at upgrading my current DAB radio to the below http://www.eu.onkyo.com/en/products/cr-n775d-146574.html?tab=Stage What would be the setup I need to connect this input so it works in the same way as my current setup? I note this has a built in amplifier so I presume the speakers would need to connect to this unit? Do I therefore need a sonos connect? And if so what would the connections need to be? I was planning to get another connect amp for a new zone but if I could get a connect instead and use my current connect amp elsewhere it I would be cheaper. Is it possible to use a connect amp with this new input? I'm currently re-wiring my house and hoping to put the connect or connect amp some distance from the speakers/input unit. But can't seem to

How many regular speakers can I hook up to the Connect AMP?

I have a connect that I have connected to an older ADCOM power (125 watts) amp. The volume that I get from this setup is on the very low side. Has any one tried a similar setup and what were your results? Is the connect not able to drive a power amp of the size that I am using?

Sonos One has terrific sound. It would be great if one day Sonos put out a 360° omnidirectional speaker.

Considering buying a Play 5 for both Spotify and to hook up the to a conventional high end stereo CD player (please don’t try to convince me to rip several thousand CDs). In settings I read you adjust to play automatically from line in. Pop in CD, press play, bingo. Would this change of settings interfere with or override Alexa because Sonos is looking only to “line in”? In other words, after I play the CD, can I just bark into Sonos: “Alexa, play What is Love”? Tx

Hi! I have two terminal posts snapped off a zp 100. Sonos will not supply spare parts. They will do a out of warranty replacement, for a fee. I don't really need a new amplifier, all I need is to connect two loudspeaker cables to the slightly broken amp I have. Has anyone any experience of sourcing and fitting replacement terminal posts? Or, failing that, removing the cover and soldering the speaker cables into place? Thanks

Can I connect a SONOS CONNECT:AMP Wireless Streaming Music System with Amplifier for Speakers (ZonePlayer120) to a 4way amp splitter to allow me to send music to my ceiling mounted speakers

I understand you can plug a record player into a Sonos Connect to then send to a Sonos speaker, can you send to multiple sonos speakers? And do you need a phono stage or is there one built into the connect or connect amp?

I currently have 3x Sonos Play One and 3x Sonos Play 3. For christmas I was thinking of getting my dad a record player and either a connect / Play 5 so he can utilize his record collection. Can anyone reccomend: -A good record player to use with Sonos that looks and sounds good -Whether to get a Connect or Play 5 - Do I need an amp i.e. Connect:Amp or Play 5 with amp * Also with either Connect / Play 5 would I be able to use some sort of splitter to route the sound from my tv to Sonos (rather than keep switching the input from record player / TV) Thanks in advance

I’m in the process of setting up 2 separate outdoor areas with wired speakers that I want to set up as 2 Sonos zones. I understand that when setting up wired speakers, you wire each pair of speakers to its own connect amp to form the 2 zones. My question is, do both connect Amps need to be connected to my router, or does just one of the connect Amps need to be connected to the router? The rest of my house is a 5.1 in the living room and play 3’s in the bedroom ‘s and garage; once one of the connect Amps are connected to my router, can the rest of the house run wirelessly or would you recommend other devices be plugged into the router.

I bought a house where the the downstairs is hardwired with 6 small (i.e. 3 double cube) Bose speakers inside and 2 Yamaha waterproof speakers on the deck. The speakers are driven by an old Pioneer AV receiver connected via an SS4 speaker selector with impedance protection. I have a Sonos Connect attached to the receiver to stream music on a hard disk attached to my router. I also have a CD player and a subwoofer connected to the receiver. I always play the same source on all 8 speakers and I’ve never had any problem playing all speakers at one time at a satisfactory volume through a single R/L pair of speaker outputs on the receiver. (Note this I don’t play surround material on this system - just basic stereo.) I want to replace the Pioneer receiver because it's too big, clunky and complicated for the space and what I need it to do. I also need to replace the Sonos Connect because it's one of the first units made and fails intermittently, requiring frequent resets. I’m think

Is there a Wifi output adaptor available I can fit to my analogue hifi amplifier to output a Wifi signal to be picked up by my Sonos controller to play on my Play 1? I want to play my CDs on my CD player through my amplifier then through my Play 1.

this is the second time in the same week I get the message sorry we can't connect to sonos. The first time I had to pull the plug on my router to sort it the second time it has not worked also i dont want to keep unplugging my router every week any thoughts.I have not changed anything only have a 1 and a 3 connected wirelessly.

I have a TV outside with a Directv mini Genie. I want to push my audio from the TV into the two outdoor speakers, and have the ability to change the source from the TV to any of my other music services. I have an unused coax cable that is running back to my wiring closet. I have drawn up the attached diagram for what I think I need to do, but I'm not sure if it is the best practice. Is there a better way?

Could someone confirm whether I can connect regular wired headphones to the analog out of a CONNECT (using a suitable RCA to headphone cord adaptor)? I.e., that I don't need to interpose some kind of headphone amp. Thanks.

Let me start by stating that I'm a 10 plus year Sonos user and I've been on the beta program in the past. I think I have an above average understanding of how this equipment works. That said, I have a ZP100 in my office with a turntable connected to it. Yes the turntable has a preamp built-in and yes it's connected to the inputs on the ZP100 but I cannot get the turntable to play through the ZP100. I followed the instructions on the site and run into issues where it says to "click on the line-in settings on the Room Settings menu". My issue is that no line-in menu shows up under room settings. Here's what mine shows... I've tried resetting the unit and that did not work. Every other function of the ZP100 works perfectly except for this one. I also tried on my ZP80 and both Play:1's and have the same result. I've got several hours invested so far and I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any pointers?

I know the Boost is working, based on the system info, but I'm wondering why the Boost Settings tab says You have no boosts in your sonos system - while I have. I'd love to be able to see the unit, just to 'make it 100%' valid.

I am trying to use the line-in on my Connect:Amp. However, when I have a device plugged into the phono sockets, the following message appears: "To use line-in, connect a device to a line-in capable sonos player" - i.e. the Connect:Amp is not 'seeing' the Line-in connection. I have already tried the following: Swapped the phono cables over - no luck Rebooted the Sonos Connect:Amp - no luck Factory reset the Sonos Connect:Amp and added back to the system - no luck Then I connected the same line-in device to my Sonos Connect - the line-in does show up and works OK Used the same cables to re-connect to the Connect:Amp - still no luck I can only conclude that something is up with the Connect: Amp Can anybody help? Hello all - first post. Brand new to Sonos and loving it! I purchased 2 Connect Amps, and 2 Play 1's. The first Connect Amp powers 4 ceiling speakers (2 in Master Bath and 2 in Master Bedroom) and the other Connect Amp powers 4 ceiling speakers in living room/kitchen area. Here is my question: When I ordered my speakers, I thought they were all 8 ohms. The bathroom speakers came in first, and they are both 8 ohms (these were "weather resistant" so different from the others). Got them installed and they sound great. The rest of the speakers came in a week later, and I got them all installed and they all work and sound great too. But I noticed in some documentation that came with the other 6 speakers that they say 4-8ohms. Now I'm worried that I may cause damage to my very expensive Connect Amps. So one of the Connect Amps is running 2 8 ohm speakers and 2 rated 4-8 ohms, and the other Connect Amp is running 4 4-8 ohm speakrs. After running them for quite a while, sound is st

I am thinking of getting a Sonos CONNECT AMP and hooking it to my TV. When hooked to my TV can I still control the volume with my TV remote or do I have to use the Sonos app?
