I use a connect amp using Airplay, my question is if I play music to my connect amp (the source beeing the line in, will this signal be sent also to other sonos speakers in the sistem?for example a play 1?)

I have a Sonos Soundbar and two PLAY 1s connected via my broadband router, which also connects to my PC holding digitised CDs. Is there any way I can connect headphones to listen to internet radio and my CDs instead of through the speakers?

Just set it up today, after 3 hours it cut off. Rebooted, unplugged, nothing. Wired speakers still work (Connect Amp). Do I need a new AMP?

I bought the Sonos 5 to stream music period!. If I wanted a snooping, listening always on "assistant" I would have bought the Google Home or the Amazon Alexa. If I am forced to add this capability to my Sonos 5 with a mandatory "upgrade" I would rather brick the device and simply use it as a Powered Speaker...

I have a pair of Vienna Acoustic speakers rated at 4-ohms. I'm considering switching to a Sonos Amp, but wondering if that will work given Sonos lists the amp at 8-ohms. Does this just mean it will pull more power to get the same volume or are there any issues risks here?

Anyone seen pictures of the new Wrensilva Sonos Edition Console which incorporates two Play 5s? I think it’s hideous but leaving that aside I hope Sonos haven’t devoted much time and resources to this product when requests and suggestions from users for enhancements to the current line-up apparently get ignored or dismissed. Only a personal opinion! :8

So I've got a TV in the master BR. I've got left and right speakers powered by a SONO AMP in a different room so I can play music. I want to be able to connect the speakers to my TV using the SONOS connect via the Fiber connection to the TV. Can I then associate the L&R speakers connected to the AMP to get TV "Out"?

Does the Sub need any maintenance in terms of ridding it of accumulated dust where visible? I have mine under a cloth cover that is effective but over the years, dust penetrates. I am a little reluctant to use a brush because I don't know how robust/delicate the two driver cones and surrounds are, hence the question.

Hi, everybody, i´m having issues with a set-up. I have a RCA output wired to the LINE-IN of a CONNECT in the living room, and i want to be able to play it (the connect´s LINE-IN) wirelessly in a CONNECT:AMP located in another room. i tried setting both of them in a group, but it didn´t work. How can i go about doing this? i´m fairly new to Sonos, so i may have skipped some steps in the configuration. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey everyone. I have a bunch of sonos speakers at my place that I love but I started to get into vinyl recently and picked up a great turntable. I wanted to grab a sonos connect to connect the turntable to my sonos system but the price ($508 canadian after taxes) is too high for me at the moment. But there is a person close by who is willing to sell me their sonos connect for $175. I noticed it has the older buttons (mute instead of the play/pause), they claim it's only 2 year old but I have sonos play 1 speakers older than that and they have the new buttons so I don't know. The guy seems fine and trust worthy and I would like to pick up this unit. Does anyone have any advice for me? And when you buy used sonos gear, can I still register the serial number to my account?

My question is re using a connect to play sonos with a 5.1 home theater setup. I think it will work but..will it play through all the speakers including the center and sub? Not sure that would sound very good. Is there a way to have it just feed the fronts and rears? Or even just the fronts but not the center? The connect will also be used as a zone 2 with an outdoor speaker but hopefully it would work well with the home theater too. thx!

Hi there. I've just added a connect:amp to my collection and have 2 speakers connected that are rated at 4-8 ohm. Does this mean I can't wire in another pair of 8 ohm speakers? What does 4-8 ohm mean? Surely they are either 4 or 8 or 6? Cheers

I have a ZP90 connected via "Coax/Digital Line Out" to my DAC/Amplifier in my living room. I would like to be able to adjust the volume from my Sonos Controllers/APs. Thus, I have the Output level for the "line-out" set to "Variable". However, with this setting the volume of the output is very, very low. I have to turn the amp up to almost full volume to reach a "normal" level. If I switch to "Fixed" level on the Line out volume, the level is fine - but then I can only adjust volume on the amplifier, not on the Sonos controllers. Dose anybody have a solution?

I installed my first Sonos system for a customer back in 2007. I just completed a service call for a customer whose system i installed 8 years ago and had a devil of a job updating the players as they hadn't been connected to the internet for a few years. Part of their system includes a CR100 controller (remember those?). The jump from old to new firmware in the players created an issue that the CR100 would no longer connect. Sonos Tech Support said they could help, but only if the controller was sent back to them for a forced update. The support Tech said I might not want to do that though as it's an obsolete item and won't be supported much beyond the next 6 months of so. It would be a temporary fix. Okay, things go end-of-life, particularly if they have a colour screen and some sort of two-way comms. Tablets and phones have taken over anyway, but that's not the issue. I'm asking myself now how long ZP80s and ZP100s will be supported for? I know it's a different type of p

I've been having drop out and system recognition issues with my Sonos set up (5xPlay:1, 2xPlay:3 and 1xConnect) and am now purchasing a Boost to (hopefully) rectify these issues. However, being a public house (tavern) I am concerned that anyone with a Sonos app will be able to access the system. Is this the case, or can I password protect the SonosNet?

Hello, I'm considering adding a connect amp to our home. I currently have a 7.1 setup and am considering integrating the connect amp to the set-up. My thought is to connect the surround back L and R line-out to the line-in of the connect amp. That way I can play music, where the receiver is, and not have to turn on the receiver. Also, whenever I watch TV with 7.1, I can still get the rear L and R channels to play through Sonos and also continue to listen to the show/event throughout the house. What I'd like to know is if the audio lag is noticeable in this setup? I understand there would be a need to encode/decode the line-in signal to sync to other Sonos machines in the home, but was wondering if that has improved over the years via software, and the fact that there are other product offerings that are intended to work with a TV - like the play base.

Can a Receiver be connected to Connect:amp

I have a Roksan K2 Amp and CD player and unfortunately the amp does not have output which I can connect to my Connect:AMP in order to play CDs through the rest of my SONOS. I have figured a work around where I have connected my Connect:AMP to the CD player, and then the CD player to the AMP, but that of course means that I have to turn on the Connect:AMP to use the amp with any other inputs. I don't suppose anyone has a better solution?

Hey can any1 tell me what the differance is between gen 1 and gen 2 sonos sub ??? I'm looking to buy one soon and I keep seeing gen 1,gen 2 !! Hope u can help guys
