Hi guys, I have a Sonos Connect hooked to a Bose Lifestyle 38 Home Theater for Music streaming and I was wondering if there is a way to connect them to a TV and have the sound from TV routed through the Sonos Connect using the Bose Home Theater?. Thanks again for your help.

Good morning :-) Is anyone using miniDSP devices with a Sonos Connect? If so, are you still able to achieve sync with other sonos speakers or does the miniDSP add delay to the music playback? I am thinking the following scenario: Sonos Connect (optical / coaxial out) => MiniDsp device (e.g. miniDSP 2x4 HD) => Amplifier line in => Speakers Speculating that the Dsp device will add some delay at least but not sure if this is bad enough to lead to out of sync playback with the rest of my sonos speakers (play 1, Play 5). Any experiences with the above? Cheers Yiannis

Hi, we first got a sonos 1 and we where very pleased with good sound. We then bought sonos 3 and 5 but the sound is very flat, i gues the settings is wrong or something but i just cant find a solution. Do you have any tips ??

Has anyone took their Connect apart to drill some vent holes for better ventilation on the top? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

I currently own 4 @ 2 * Play 1's, 2 @ 2 * Play 3's, 1 @ 2 Play 5's, a sound bar & sub-woofer. I'm looking to mount all the speakers on the wall therefore I'm looking for 14 brackets for my Play 1's, 2's & 3's (I already have a bracket for my sound bar). Can you advise where I can purchase the brackets at a good price, I don't see anything on the SONOS website other than speaker stands.

We would like to connect the Sonos CONNECT stereo output to the mono input of common 70V commercial sound amplifiers.. specifically the Bosch PLE-1P240 (https://us.boschsecurity.com/en/products/publicaddressandvoicealar/pacommercialsoundandemerg/plenaeasyline/ple1pxx0usplenaamplifier/ple1pxx0usplenaamplifier_36847). Our question is can the L/R analog output of the CONNECT be combined in parallel/phase using a simple Y-cord arrangement? Or would one need to add a few 1kΩ resistors in series to sum them together (vs 'shorting' together). I wish the CONNECT had an monaural analog output!! And what about sensitivity? Most home audio is -10dBV, whereas pro equipment is typically +4dBU. (The Bosch has input sensitivity of 1Vrms for full output so falls somewhere in between.)

Hi, I would like to setup a stereo pair of speakers Sonance IS4 SST (8 ohms nominal, 6 ohms minimum, 100 watts RMS) with a Sonos ZP-120. Would the Sonos be powerful enough ? Besides, if I want to connect as well a subfoower Sonance ISW (8 ohms nominal, 6 ohms minimum, 100 watts RMS) to the same Sonos ZP-120, I understand that the subwoofer line out of the ZP-12 is not amplified and that I will need to connect it to the line-in of a subwoofer amplifier (like the Sonance A-800) which will in turn be connected to the Sonance ISW subwoofer. Is it possible to play live music through Sonos connect?

Greetings All, I've just recently purchased a connect and a play 1 as my starters. Everything set up fine and I'm pleased with the sound quality. My difficulty now is getting sound out of my receiver (reason I purchased connect so as to "connect" with my A/V receiver) I have it connected with the supplied RCA cables to my CD line in. No sound coming out of my wired speakers on receiver. I've connected several audio components into that CD line in and PRESTO, I have sound. Connect cables back to the connect unit and nothing (music is still coming from play 1 speaker though) Any suggestions? I'm I missing something blatantly obvious? Thanks MRod

There is a room in my house that does not get wifi but has a hard wire, I have have added a 2nd wireless router to sort this issue, however this means I can't access my sonos services, is there a way I can adjust the router or sonos settings to have access to sonos from that wifi.

Hello, I am considering adding a Sonos Connect (not Connect AMP) to my Sonos setup at home. It should output using the analog RCA to a pair of ROKIT 4 G3 (http://www.krksys.com/krk-studio-monitor-speakers/rokit/rokit-4.html) I was wondering if it would work? I know that the Rkit is powered, but the Connect is meant to be attached to a receiver and not directly to speakers. Any idea? Thanks

Connected Alexa via Yonomi App, however she cannot follow my music command like volume control. My Alexa app shows she is connected to all my Sonos components . Any ideas?

Where can I find/buy replacement rubber feet for Sonos speakers ?

So about a year ago I bought into sonos with a play1 in the kitchen. Great speaker, play Spotify and all good. Then came Alexa dot into the kitchen, excellent device and the way ahead, can play Spotify, radio etc all with a simple command. Sound is pretty crap though. Can't connect dot to sonos as latter has no connectivity options. So I have an excellent music interface (Alexa dot) and an excellent speaker (play1) but they don't connect. Alexa voice is the way I'm going for ease of use. I could buy an echo for bit better sound quality, or wait for next round of products. But what do I do with what's becoming a redundant play 1? It's like having a smartphone with no touch screen.

hey everyone, I am designing a wall from my TV, this wall will have a fireplace below the TV, the goal for the wall is simplicity. Ideally, I'd like to just have the fireplace recessed into the wall, and the TV above it. That being said, what are the issues or drawbacks to positioning the PlayBar on top of a cabinet that is directly to the right of the TV? from the right edge of the TV to the start of the cabinet will is about 6-8 inches.

Hi I have turntables & a Traktor z2 mixer plugged in (with phono cables) to a Sonos connect, playing wireless from 2x grouped play1 speakers. I'm experiencing a lot of delay between the music I can hear directly through my mixer (with headphones attached) and the music that plays through songs speakers; causing beat matching issues etc. Is there anything I can do to improve this? In the Sonos App for my Ipad, under the Sub settings is an option to enable placement adjustment. I can't find any information on this, not even in the manual - unless I've overlooked something? Could somebody please give me a semi detailed explanation? Thanks!

Hello friends. I have an old Sansui G-4500 Pure power Stereo Receiver (connected) to a Dual turntable and an AKAI cassette deck) and I am considering replacing the speakers with Sonos equipment. I believe I need CONNECT with my set-up, not CONNECT AMP. My speaker wires are older school, i.e. naked ends both sides. And the Sansui has a set-up to receive naked wire ends at the back. What do I do? Do I get speaker wire with RCA in one end, and naked wire ends at the other? Do they exist? I appreciate your input and i hope I am clear in my question.

My issue is I have three Play 1's and one Connect with a turntable/preamp connected to it. My internet/router is plugged into a single Boost and I direct connected my Connect to the Boost. My turntable cuts out though and I have to jack the volume way up. I'm wondering if I have it set up correctly. Might need some walking through. Help!

I would love to be able to use wireless headphones with Sonos. Is there a way to make this work, or perhaps Sonos is considering developing this?

I have a pair of Bose 251s out in the backyard. I just purchased the Sonos Connect:Amp. After the fact, I noticed that the Boase 251s are rated 6 ohms and the Connect:Amp is rated 8 ohms. I'm not too familiar with the ohms issue, but know enough that I risk burning out the amp. Can the Connect:Amp safely power the Bose 251s?
