Sonos Connect AMP With Bose Freespace 51 (pair)

Just bought the Sonos amp and Bose Freespace 51's for outside in the backyard. The Sound at low volume seems to be very very low, at like 20% you can barely hear it. When I turn it up to say 75% it sounds very good but wondering why or if I can do anything to adjust this? The Bose are 8ohm, I notice the amp output is higher at lower ohms, is there a way to phase the speakers to get more output?

Do Sonos players adjust their EQ settings when a SUB is added?

Hi there, I have a pair of Play:1s in my living room, and I'm already very impressed with their sound. Nevertheless I'm still planning to add a SUB soon. I'm interested to know, will the addition of a SUB make the Play:1s adjust their frequency responses (i.e. raise their HPF cutoff frequencies) because the sub means they no longer need to extend so low?

Connect (Not Connect Amp) with local speakers out of sync with rest of Sonus network..

I have ready various posts about compressed/uncompressed usage of the Sonus and I think I have a different problem. The issue that I have is that I have a Connect (not Connect Amp) attached to my Sonus system (through LAN cable into Wi-Fi router) to feed an external music source into Sonus (happens to be Airplay) and the sound is out of sync as the local speakers connected to the Connect fire first and then the rest of the Sonus speakers are delayed a slight bit resulting in an out of sync sound system. I have tried compressed/uncompressed and the issue that I am having is not the normal sync issue that most post about. What I would like is some way to delay the local audio out in the Connect itself so that it can sync up with the inherent delay in the Sonus network. My sense is that the line in on the Connect is immediately feeding into the amplifier on the output audio ports -- much faster path than the rest of the meshed network. I am using Digital Coax output on the connect

Playbase optical cable

How do you remove the optical cable from the playbase? Once it's in it won't come out. The other one on the playbar was loose and easy to remove, I don't want to force it and damage it.

Connect Amp with 4 speakers

I'm new to the Sonos community and require some assistance. We are currently in the electrical phase of our new home construction. I have purchased multiple Connect amps for multiple zones, however, I want to run two pairs of speakers (master bathroom and master bedroom) to a single Connect Amp. I've found articles on wiring two pairs of speakers but can't find information on how to switch one set off and leave the other set on. At times I would like to have both pairs on but also have the ability to shut off one set in either the bathroom or bedroom. Truly hoping that someone would be able to assist me. Thanks in advance.

Headphone Amp and Sonos Connect

I bought a headphone amp and connected it via the Digital coax on the Sonos Connect.The problem is muting the Play5's while the headphone output is sending audio through my headphones. Is this not possible?

Low level on Line-in Connect-AMP !

Hi just yesterday tried CONNECT-AMP that move to rest my old Pioneer 100W amplifier. There is no compare about power, my ESB speaker are very nice with mi Pioneer but was time to upgrade. So after a quick start with success, i try to plug my LENCO DECK (for my vynil) and with my surprise i see that volume set to max is extremely LOW ! cannot amplify this DECK. ! i set to HIGH level to 10 of sonos app if line in. Dear SONOS engineer i cannot use my deck to connect-amp because volume is too low ! is there a way to solve? thanks

Small Room Stereo Pair Play 5 or Add Sub

Hey everyone, I've been reading some of the topics here debating whether one should upgrade a single Play5 (gen2) with an additional Play5 to make a stereo pair, or to add a Sub. I'm using my current Play5 in a relatively small room (say, 16'x12', maybe) with a record player. Depending on how certain records were mastered, I am still having to pump the volume up almost to max on some (yes, the record player has built-in pre-amp), as compared to when I stream music and can destroy the whole house with volume. Because of that, I'm wanting to add another speaker, but the way the room is setup, I'd only be able to place the stereo pair about 3 feet apart, and I know Sonos recommends more like 8 feet. With that in mind, is upgrading to a stereo pair worthwhile, or would it make more sense to add a Sub? I'm wanting to get a bit more volume, but rather than just adding like a Play1 to the room, I figure might as well use this as an excuse to upgrade the sound experience as well. Than

Streaming Issues

Hi all, I have 5 Play:1 and one Connect which are distributed in my flat. The flat is really small, about 60sqm, there is one Play:1 in every room, in the living room there are two of them as stereo pair. Also in the living room I use a connect with two wired standart speakers. As input device to the connect I use a projector, laptop, computer or an echo dot. (I plug the cables in and out) Additionally there is a Boost connected to my router, the Connect is connected to the Boost via ethernet cable. When I stream spotify via the app there are no issues at all but when I stream any audio via the connect there are frequent interruptions of the audio to the wirelessly connected Play:1's, the wired speakers (attached to the connect) are playing just fine. It doesn't matter what the input source actually is. (Laptop, PC, dot, Projector) I bought the Boost because I was hoping to get rid of this issue but it didn't work. Is there any benefit from using the Boost vs usin

Hey guys, I got a Bose solo sounds bar which had an optical port. Would I be able to incorporate that info the sonos system with the aid of a connect with out an amp since it is powered itself? Please dumb down any replies into shapes colors and single syllable words. There is a reason I use Sonos for its simplicity! Thanks Guys!

Connect Amp with Existing Bose Acoustimass SE -5

I just purchased a new home. Previous owner left behind an older Bose Acoustimass SE 5-Speaker System with a Rosssound Impedance Matching Speaker Selector. The home is hardwired with two speakers on an outdoor porch, two wall mounted speakers that face the television. I have two goals: I would like to be able to use my existing speakers to play music, and later add a play 5 to create a third zone inside. I would also like to be able use two of the existing speakers and the existing subwoofer along with a playbar to enhance the television sound. I hope that makes sense, I appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Vibrations from play 5?

Noticed alot of people place their play5 next to their vinyl player on the same table. Does anyone have experience if this works at all? There is alot of bass punch and I'm worried there will be disturbance. Second question. Is there big difference between streaming and directly connected with rca to the play5?

Model Information in Chinese or Japanese. No information in English

I purchased a Sonos system from a local home theater company. Everything works fine, but when I was cleaning I noticed that the model information on the Connect:Amp and Sub are in Chinese or Japanese script. There is no information in English. I suspect the same is true of the SoundBar, but I didn't pull it down to check. The connection information (speakers, ethernet switch, analog audio) is in English. Anyone seen this before? Are these gray market/counterfeit? I was charged full US retail. I have reached out to Sonos for their position on this matter. Any input or common experience with this issue would be appreciated.

Connect AMP with Polk Atrium Garden System

I am looking for reviews / feedback from those of you who have or are using the Polk Atrium sub 10 / sat 30 set with the connect amp. I realize the connect amp was not intended to be used with passive subs but for this set-up does it produce sufficient power? I am only looking to use 2 sat 30s for this set-up. Crossover is handled at the speaker level so shouldn't be a problem not using the sub out line from the connect amp? ***sorry I just realized I put this in the wrong sub-forum. Should be in components. newbie...***

Intermittent playback from Sonos Connect

My Sonos Connect is only providing an audio output intermittently to my hifi amplifier. I know it's the Connect that is at issue, rather than the amplifier, because my CD player is also connected to my amp and that is working just fine. I have also checked the Network Matrix, and the connection from the Root Bridge (a Play 3) to the Connect is fine (inbound/outbound is 43/38). Any ideas? Thanks! Mike

No lock screen control on Huawei RIO-L01 (G8)

On my new Huawei G8 phone, I can't control my Sonos on the lock screen. With my former smartphone (LG), that wasn't a problem. I believe all my settings are correct. - I installed the Sonos app on my device (duh!) and gave the app the permission to access my storage and my location. - I enabled 'show notifications' and 'show lock screen controls'. - In my phone settings, I allowed the Sonos app to write system settings and to ignore battery optimalisation - In the Android notifications center, I allowed the Sonos app to be shown on the lock screen. [I hope I translated the options correct - my Android is in Dutch) But still, I don't get to see the controls on my lock screen as I was used to with my LG-phone. Although, when I'm using the standard Huawei music player, I do get controls on my lock screen. Does anybody know, what to do? Except for buying another phone? :?

Connected ZP120 to 220V in 110V setting

I got a ZP120 in 110V mode and connected it to a 220V current. Now, unsurprisingly, it does not work anymore. I could obviously bring it in for repair but I am wondering whether I could take care of that myself in a more timely fashion. Obviously I will loose my warranty by opening the ZP but I don't mind as long as I know for sure that I can fix the problem myself (otherwise I would loose the warrenty AND not got the ZP working again!). Could someone tell me whether there is something simple like a fuse or so inside that I could simply replace?! Does anybody have experience? Sonos staff, can you help me? I am surprised anyway that the controllers ship with 110-220V adapters while the ZP have to be switched manually. But that is another discussion... Thanks for any help!

Integrating sonos into existing surround sound speakers and amp

I understand that I can convert my existing wired speakers to Sonos with a Sonos connect device however I can't find info about how to connect an existing five speaker (5.1 surround driven by an existing Yamaha receiver/amp) to sonos. Can this be done and maintain 5.1 ? Is it as simple as using a sonos connect along side my amp? I also have other existing in ceiling speakers in other parts of the house and realize to integrate them to sonos app for zone control I need more sonos connects but that's another topic (as well as adding sonos speakers for new zones etc). For now it's about my ability to use sonos to drive my existing 5 speaker sourround system. Th for any help.

Connect with existing Sonos 5.1 system

I currently have a Sonos 5.1 system setup — Playbar, Sub, play:1. I'm considering purchasing a Connect to stream from a vintage amp to the existing setup. Is this possible without breaking the 5.1 functionality? I know this seems like an obvious question, just don't want invest and find the answer the hard way. Thanks.
