Right, I've done a bit of searching around but haven't managed to find any answers yet.

Basically, I'm using 2 play 1's as a stereo pair of PC speakers. I've got my output of the pc into a connect and then onto the speakers. I also have Google Home which I was hoping to have connected to my sonos system as well.

Is it possible to run an optical input to the connect AND a Chromecast audio at the same time? Or will the connect only take 1 input at a time?

I am afraid it only has one input. The digital connections are outputs..

Look for a signal mixer, I've used this one but as it is passive there is a volume drop, I'd suggest something similar but with internal pre-amplification.

I am using this to select between multiple audio channels:

Also use optical to audio converters. You can ignore the video inputs and outputs and just use the audio.
