Hi all,There don't seem to be that many posts about specific Sonos Amp & speaker combinations, so I thought I would briefly share my impressions of the Sonos Amp in combination with the Bowers & Wilkins 707 S2 loudspeakers.I ended up with this combo after half a year without a Sonos (or any real) stereo system following a move to a new, somewhat smaller, home. Having finally got my modestly sized living room in order with furniture placed and (just) enough room for a pair of compact loudspeakers, I went shopping.The 707s were not actually on my initial list of potential buys (I had intended to try their larger sibling, the 706, among other speakers) but upon hearing that my listening space was quite small (effectively a quarter of my living room, putting my usual listening chair less than 2 metres from the speakers) the sales person suggested trying the smaller 707s and they pretty much blew me away, with a remarkably full range sound for

Hello All,I have a camper with two pairs of 4ohm speakers.  Can I hook these 4 speakers (two pairs) that are 4 ohms each up to the new Amp?what would be the watt output when hooking these up?Thanks!  

So I've gone and bought some cheap bits to make Sonos  reach my bathroom at last! I have a speaker in every room including full cinema system, (playbar sub and play 1 surrounds)The speaker is a monitor audio CT165-T2 60/65W I test wired it before I committed to mounting it in my ceiling and to be honest I was hoping for more bass, could this be because it's not in an enclosure/ ceiling and is not using the surrounding ceiling to reverberate the sound or have I wired it wrong or dreading maybe I've got a speaker that needs more power than the amp can put out.ive basically wired it with 2x twin speaker wire and made sure positive to positive and negative to negative on the left and right channels correctly but wondering if there's a trick I'm missing?

I use a playbar with a modern Samsung TV and am looking to upgrade to Arc. The eArc means the TV remote will then control the Sonos properly. However, I also use Bluetooth headphones at the same time. Will the TV remote still control the Sonos, or will it only control the headphones? Will the TV with eArc connection mean that, cleverly(!), the Sonos switches off when I use Bluetooth headphones, which is absolutely what I don’t want!

Is it possible to use 2 Sonos Amps with passive speakers whereby 1 Amp is the left channel and 1 the right channel in a stereo set up ? Thanks in advance for any replies..

I have a Gen 1 Play 5, Play 1, Boost and Connect.  I know all about the disappearing “on this iphone” from a couple years ago and haven’t used my system much since.  However, I saw the Port and was wondering if I can use that to replace my connect, run it with S1, and use AirPlay 2 to play music to the rest of my speakers?  Essentially, a work around to make it work like before?  I tried searching but didn’t find much.

Hello! I’ve moved into a house where there are speakers in ceilings in every room (8 rooms) going back to one control which is currently a CD player. I’d like to upgrade to a Sonos to control each room separately. What would be the best way to do this?

How do I reset Sonos Boost

I am renovating my forever home and will have one room for the kitchen, dining area and living room. It is 20 x 28 feet inside. The end with the kitchen cabinets, a large island and the dining table is not a good place for the regular speakers with no good place to set them. I had hoped to install a couple ceiling speakers using an Amp to power them. I would also like to use a couple ceiling speakers in the living room (the opposite half of the space) and would like to power them all with one Amp. Is it possible to both adjust the volume of these two sets of speakers separately, as well as adjust the balance on each set?If there is any way possible to do this please let me know. If there is an alternate way to set them up still allowing the use of the S2 app to control them, it would be ideal. I am wondering if I could use something separate to achieve what I am trying to do as well.Trying to not buy two Amps to achieve this. I would otherwise lik

I’m looking for some advice.  I have a turntable connecting (line-in) to a Sonos Five.  Now I want to add other speakers (Beam, Symfonisk) to the room. However, I don’t see any options in the app to add any further speakers.  Is there a trick to adding my other speakers?

Hi, I have arc, port, 2 one sl surrounds, gen 3 sw.  I also have the amp. Now have have a turntable with the musical fidelity m5si powering mh turnable sending to my Denton 85’s. Is is possible to connect the amp to the m5si so I can use the amp as a streamer for my iTunes?  If so how? This is the first priority without having to get a streamer. e.g. mx stream from musical fidelity.  The m5si has USB port.  Will sonons HDMI to m5si USB port work?  Of do I need to add a dac then Sonos amp to dac to m5si?My turnable and arc are in the same room.  I can stream over the arc setup but I prefer the dentons. I keep arc home theater for spatial audio in TV. Please let me know.

Bonjour J’ ai acheté en 2020 via Sonos, une platine disque Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. Elle fonctionne sur un Play 5 mais je souhaite à présent l'installer sur un ampli MARANTZ. Le souci est que le son grésille, avec ou sans masse, et que la musique est donc inaudible. Pourriez-vous m'aider svp ? Je suppose que cette platine n'est pas uniquement faite pour fonctionner avec un HP Sonos. Faut-il ajouter un autre élément?Bien cordialement

Hi All - I am wondering what amplifier people use for Sonos Connect products. I have been using Audiosource amps with Behringer EQs for in-wall JBL speakers. The system sounds OK but it’s a lot of components, IMO. I’m curiuos what others have been doing.Also, I am getting a hiss in one of my systems that I have to troubleshoot and that’s adding to my interest in a more robust, reliable set up. Looking forward to hearing backDave

Hi all,After a short two and half year my Sonos one gen2 decided to quit its loyal service. As you can see in the picture below, resistor c285 fried itself. Do you think after replacing the resistor it wil work again? and what resister do i need to get?  

Any advantages to Toslink/Optical or Coaxial connection for using an external DAC with a Sonos Connect?

I am designing a new home with a 37ft x 20ft great room / dining / kitchen area.  I would like to have music for casual listening, it never needs to be too loud and won’t need multiple zones in the space.  I would like to add 1 Sonos amp along with a Sonos One in order to have a voice assistant.  For ceiling speakers, would 4 be enough to run off the one amp or would 6 be necessary?   

Where can I sell gently used equipment?  Does sonos do buy backs?

I just bought the new S2-compatible Port to replace my old Connect. Unfortunately this makes my active B&O speakers start humming after the music has stopped. Very frustrating as this was not the case with my Connect.  The issue is identical to a previous post, which is now closed.   Any suggestions how to solve this issue?  

Getting my money’s worth today …. third post 😀Have a sub that I’ve owned since new (think a gen 2) and has worked perfectly to date.But I did a few component move arounds and this one previously doing duty in the kitchen was moved to the hall ….. the kitchen redecoration lent itself to a new Gen 3 in white.Came to connect it up just and it works but dropped in and out on initial playback then dropped out altogether when I moved it to its side. I reset it and added it again upright and seems be working fine now. But I wondered if it was good practice put it on its side or if there was a sensor that cut it out when not upright?Reason to put it on side was purely cosmetic as it fitted under a footstool. That proved to be also a bad idea on a wood floor as the limited time it has sat there, it sustained surface scratches. But surprised it prove be a problem operationally on it’s side …. or am I convincing myself of mixed facts/circumstances?

Hi all, first post in this forum so forgive my general ignorance.  I currently have a Beam 2 and 2 X Sonos One (gen 2) speaker set up for watching movies. I've been considering getting a Bluetooth Turntable like the Sony 310 or the Audio Technica 120XBT...but I've recently discovered that you can't connect either via Bluetooth to my current set up. I understand that one way to do it is to buy a Roam, pair it to the Turntable and then add the Roam to your normal speaker group. Is this correct? And will this make a stereo image on the two Sonos Ones I have? Can the roam be turned down and just act like a gateway?Are there any other more cost effective ways to do it? I saw someone talking on here about a little Bluetooth dongle adapter...but which device would that connect to in my group of Beam and two Ones? I don't understand how that works.Thanks for any assistance in this matter. 

When will amp support IEEE 802.11ac 

Is anybody using multiple devices (e.g. Record Player and a CD Player) with their Sonos Amp?  It only has one input so how do you achieve this?  Surely as an audio company they understand their users will listen to music from different mediums.

Hi, I’ve got a question regarding the Sonos port and how to connect it to my surround sound speaker system and receiver components.  But before that I should explain what I am trying to achieve inside and outside of my home. In my living/dinning rooms I intend to install a single One Sl speaker in each room which is an open area. In my family room I intend to install an ARC sound bar and two One Sl speakers as surround speakers to my 4K LG TV with an existing blue ray player. On lower level in my playroom I have an existing 5.1 surround sound speakers along with two Yamaha speakers on zone 2 connected to an out going 15 year old receiver. I also have a 4K Vizio TV , a Fluance phono and a 4K blue ray player I plan to purchase. I am planning to upgrade to the Onkyo sr 6100 receiver and add Atmos speakers.  I know I need to get a pre amp for the phono and a Sonos port for this system to work. This is where the question arises. I hope to play phono music inside and outside of my home at

I currently have a Sonos Connect that is wired to my stereo amp & speakers. (There are other Sonos items in other rooms but the Connect is the only Sonos component in the sitting room.)If I buy a Sub Mini, will I be able to pair it with the Connect?

I have a large(ish) Sonos system locked down at 8.4 (because I still use CR100 controllers). The bridge has finally died so I have temporarily wired one of my ZP Amps as a bridge. Is it possible to buy a boost and use it, or will it need me to upgrade the system version (which obviously I cannot do).I don’t want to accidentally trash the CRs by adding a component that needs a higher software version.
