I haven’t tried this yet but thinking about it.The system is an Arc, Amp, 2 Subs, Arcana, Apple TV 4K, JVC projector with an acoustically transparent screen.From the Arc disconnect the end speakers and run wires to the in wall surround speakers eliminating the use of an Amp.Disconnect the Atmos speakers and run wires to in ceiling speakers for a more realistic Atmos experience.Will Trueplay calibrate the speakers correctly. 

Hi all, I have the sonos ARC with surround speakers and connected to TV via eARC. Everything works perfectly when I watch a movie directly from the TV (Netflix etc) but when I connect a video via HDMI and VLC to the TV from my MAC, the voices come from the surround speakers ( mysteriously, only from the left back one) and not from arc which only plays the surround sounds. I tried all VLC settings and the only way to get the sound right is to disable the audio surround, which we obviously don't want to. Could anyone please help me here? Many thanks Dimitri 

I know these are well documented issues but I can’t get to the bottom of them.Speakers randomly cut out and cut back in whenever I’m listening to music When I change the track I always lose several speakers then they come back over time I experience substantial lag when casting music from Spotify to system vs using the Sonos appI have 13 Sonos Ones, 3 subs, and a Sonos Port connected to my system. For Wifi I have a Google Nest Mesh network with 3 access points scattered throughout my 3600 sq ft single story house. My internet speeds are amazing, I typically get 300+ MBPS down in any room of the entire home.I have unplugged my entire wifi network as well as all 13 devices, re-enabled the wifi network, and then plugged in all the devices but it didn’t fix anything.I have a diagnostics report here: 2004201836Also network analyzer (http://192.168.86.214:1400/support/review) seems totally useless, here’s what I’m getting:  

I’d like to stream videos from my laptop to a projector on my wall and am struggling to get good sound.I’m currently streaming video from my MacBook Pro (2017) to a projector via HDMI, but the sound comes out of my MacBook Pro…. hence I need better sound and want to use the Playbar (Version 14.0). I’ve tried multiple things and I can’t get the sound from my MacBook Pro to come out of the Sonos Playbar.   Here’s what I tried (none worked):Adapter - connecting the toslink (digital optical cable) from my Sonos Playbar into my MacBook Pro’s headphone jack using an adaptor that converts one end of the toslink to 3.5) Bluetooth Receiver - connecting the toslink (digital optical cable) from my Sonos Playbar into a Bluetooth receiver while my MacBook is connected to the bluetooth receiver via bluetooth. Analog to Digital Converter - connecting the toslink (digital optical cable) from my Sonos Playbar through the converter, then connecting my MacBook to the other end of the converter via 1) 3.5

Hello!So I have a bit of a complicated situation.My Sonos system is set up under an apartment internet provider. I am using a personal router to distribute wireless.Last week the internet provider for the complex had a network issue to which the only fix was to manually assign your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 in order to be able to connect to the internet.Since you are unable to assign your DNS on your SONOS devices, would there be any reason I would be getting a 1101 while updating on my devices? I tried many things to fix this including manually setting the DHCP on my router and the static DNS, but nothing will fix my sonos system or allow My Sonos One or my Symfonisk to connect to the internet, or update. Any recommendations on trying to get my sonos system to connect or update properly? It’s basically unusable - barring the airplay

Hi Support Community - I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with 2 Sonos One SL used as surround speakers.I have an external third party subwoofer (Rel T3) and I was hoping to add the subwoofer and pair to the Beam and One SL surround speakers using the Sonos S2 app. I understand that the Sonos Beam can be paired to the Sonos Connect AMP (Gen 2) to add rear speakers, but just wondering if this can also be used to connect to a subwoofer instead (noting that I will not be using the amp to add rear surrounds)?Thanks!

I just bought a new Sonos Q70 tv. Currently I have the TV and a Sonos port connected through an old receiver. I want to take advantage of Dolby ATMOS in that room anf have decided to go with a high end sound bar. My first choice is the Samsung HW-Q950A, but it only has HDMI and optical inputs. Alas, the port only has RCA and digital Coax outputs. Is there any way to get the Poert to work with this soundbar.I considered the Sonos Arc but I will need two Ones and a Sub to get similar performance. That will run $700 more.

Everything used to work fine since years but recently I can't connect to Mixcloud with Windscribe VPN activated through Sonos. It works only if I disable the VPN. Same problem on iOS or macOS. Mixcloud native application works well with the VPN activated, and also when using Airplay2 as a workaround,  but not through Sonos.This problem is only related to Mixcloud. No issue with Apple Music and YTM.   iOS Sonos 14.0 iOS 15.3 / macOS 12.3iOS Mixcloud 32.4.2

I was having an issue with Sonos controller finding iTunes which is on NAS. Several false starts before I figured it out. Now that is fixed but I have 3 instances of Windows Media (myemail@somewhere.com) listed in Select a music source. How can I delete these entries while keeping Music Library which is the iTunes library that I use. Any and all suggestions appreciated  Terry

My Sonos app is on a PC running win11 Pro. My iTunes library is located on NAS. I can’t find a pathname that I can enter in ‘Music Library Settings’ that will access the iTunes library. I have used ‘Another folder or drive connected to my computer’ and ‘Networked device’, both in setup. I do have a mapped drive from PC to iTunes library on NAS.  iTunes uses the path I:\iTunes\iTunes Media to find iTunes media folder location. I have tried a number of permutations of pathnames with no success. I:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music error, computer is not responding; \\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music error computer iTunes cannot be found. I read in another question that Sonos has switched to streaming via http://  My question is: how can I enter a url in the Sonos app so that it can locate my music files. Maybe I’m just being dense, but I’m not seeing it. I can create a url to my iTunes songs but what do I do with it (the url)?The share link looks something like this:  http://192.168.0.145:8000/portal/a

Hi all,I bought a turntable including phono preamp and wanted to connect it to my Play 5 via line-in. However, since my two Play 5 are configured together with a Sonos Beam and a Sonos Sub as a 5.1 setup, this is apparently not possible.My new plan would be to buy a used Connect S2 instead and connect it to the line-out of my phono preamp. Audio playback would then be via the Sonos 5.1 setup described above. Can anyone tell me if this would be possible? I would also be open to alternative solutions.Thanks for your answersJohnny

SONOS Connect Options with SB's & AMP'sTo help illustrate the network design options, I have attached a series of drawings with the various connections (see above link to my DropBox folder).   I am in need of some specific advice on connecting SONOS AMPs and SONOS Soundbars to a TV?  I need to better understand the connection interfaces between them, especially when the AMP is located in a different room in the house. Almost all of the custom homes I service install 4K-TV's on a wall without an equipment cabinet beneath them.  Most install SONOS ARC or Beam speaker bars.  Some decide to have in-ceiling speakers set-up as surrounds behind the seating area.  The In-Ceiling (IC) speaker wires run to an equipment cabinet in a different part of the house. At one house there were four (4) in-ceiling speakers, two (2) front and two (2) rear, and I was instructed to place an HDMI 2.0 ARC Extender behind the TV to convert HDMI to Ethernet, and then Ethernet to HDMI, using a pair of ARC Exte

To get rid of this commercial ban / mistreatment of clients I made some thoughts and developed a very simple and cheap solution. To play the same music synchronized in all of my rooms (setting with a S2 net and a S1 net) I started a spotify session. In this spotify session I plazed another user which is also under my control. After I done so I activated a user on each, S2 and S1.As soon as I‘m playing Music in one of these Spotify Users the music plays synchronized in both S2 as well as S1 net.

I am currently running a Synology NAS with my music files on it.  Since very few mesh routers (including my Orbi) have a usable USB port for an external hard drive, I was thinking (doesn’t hurt much), that it would be great if Sonos could incorporate a USB port on a Boost type device.  That way I could get rid of the NAS and just attach a USB hard drive to it with my lossless music files to the network.  It would be a win for me. Maybe for Sonos also?The reason for this is that I still get dropouts when streaming from the NAS. Not always but often enough to have me post this.  I have changed the Sonos network channel on many occasions from 1, to 6 and 11 with limited success.  I have a Boost, 2 Play 1’s, a Sonos One, Sonos 5 and Play 3.  My router is an Orbi wifi 6 system that has 2 satellites and Boost is plugged into the router.  My wifi network is very robust yet the SonosNet is very much less so.

After having read this RSTP Post from a year ago, I need a clarification.My Sonos (9 spkrs) system is working fairly well and reliably in a VLAN (IoT) and can be controlled from the main LAN via Android, IoS, and Windows.  After quite a bit of work setting up my EdgeRouter-4 with firewall groups and rules, IGMP, mDNS, multi-cast (not blocked), and now RSTP/STP, I have a question from the post aboveFirst my setup:  Off of my EdgeRouter-4 is a 24-port Unifi Switch. Off of that switch are three other Unifi US-8 switches. On one port of the 24port Switch is a Sonos Boost and on one of the US-8 switches is a PlayBase wired connection. It won't connect wirelessly anymore. Wifi adapter went bad I guess. All other Sonos speakers are wireless. Before today I had all switches set to STP, but as many have noted this slows down all other non-Sonos DHCP requests to 45-55 seconds. Who knows what other network problems this causes. I had raised the question about support for more modern Samba support on Sonos.I was greeted with the lovely respones that it is “on its way”. Forgive me if I don’t hold my breath.Fortunately, if you have an open source version of Samba 4 (such as I do through my OpenWRT router), it now supports legacy (insecure) connections and allows Sonos to connect.Well done in relying on others to provide compatibility, Sonos, even if you refuse to do anything. I hope a similar tactic works for you in suing Google for copying your network music synchronisation. I hope you get your reward frow them, but I don’t rely on you to put the proceeds to fixing your issues or inventing your way forwards...

i have a panasonic viera plasma tv that i love and dont plan on replacing anytime soon. Also I have 2 Symfonisk panel speakers.  Is there some way to create a "legacy" connection directly from the tv into the amps, e.g. by opening them up and connecting an audio cable somewhere? thanks ps i also have a beam 2 here, but the symfonisks sound so much better that i am happy to return the beam and be without surround.

See also:The two minutes delay is way to short.It usually takes me considerably more time browsing through my music library selecting the next song or album to play. Also my amplifier takes about 5 seconds after switching on before you can hear the music.So please change this value to something way larger (30 or 60 minutes for example) or make it a setting I can configure on the device.Thanks,Oswald

I have an arc and two ones acting as rear speakers for my tv. Am I also able to use the ones for my stereo/turntable when not using the tv? If so, how? thanks! 

We recently bought the Sonos Arc entertainment set with the Arc and the Sub. We decided to add in two Sonos Ones as rears in our system the only issue I’m having is figuring out placement in the room. As you can see in the pictures I’ve attached of the room the official Dolby placement guide won’t work as the couch is against the back wall, so that rules at stands as well. So I figure my option is wall mounts, I’m just not sure where, how far apart, how high up, etc. For reference I’m standing right in front of the tv in the photo facing the back wall. 

I have a setup where I would like to change SUB attachment from a pair of 2’s to a Beam - but a quick way to do that is missing...

Is there a way to set this up with default groups based on inputs, so I don’t have to keep grouping them manually whenever I switch inputs?

Hi Sonos, my Sub G1, one of the non-glare versions, does show up in my system as ZP100 which is clearly wrong. So my S2 App says it’s incompatible (grouped with ARC + 2 Play:3 as rear). Diagnostic info 1961414442Also my Windows App does not work anymore (says it need update, but when i click on update, no update is found). 

I have the arc, the sub (gen 3) and 2 Sonos One and I’d like to have two different room configuration with the same speakers to switch easily between them keeping their own equalizer (including True Play)Watching TV. Arc + 2 Sonos One as Surround + Sub Listening Music. 2 Sonos One in Stereo + Sub Is there a way to do it? Do you think it will be included in next updates?
