I’m posting this to illustrate the difference between what you pay your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to bring service into your home and how that translates into actual Wi-Fi speed/coverage. Using my service as an example I hope to make the differences understood. Admittedly, my internet service and equipment used are an exception; and therefore not meant to say that yours’s should be the same. I have a Harmony Hub that talks to a Sonos Connect.The routine I set up works perfectly EXCEPT I cannot seem to get the Sonos device to affect “PLAY” through the Harmony activity (music source is Pandora). After Harmony gets all devices in the proper “state”, I can THEN go to the Sonos app and the Harmony routine has selected the proper Pandora channel. but will not start playing music. I can (in the Sonos app) click “PLAY” and then all is well, but I cannot seem to get the Harmony activity routines to include “PLAY” even though that command is one of the options on the Sonos device.I’ve also tried sprinkling in PAUSE DELAYs as well, no joy.FWIW I had this working but this stopped working after a recent electrical storm (all devices still work fine, just the “PLAY” operation will not work through the Harmony activity).

Hi everyone, I have three separate Sonos setups—one at home, one at work, and one I installed for my parents.I registereed each system under a different email account.Whenever I switch locations, I have to log in and out of each account.Has anyone consolidated multiple Sonos systems under a single email account? Does it work smoothly, or does it create registration issues?If I moved to them all on one email account, would this mean I won’t get prompted to log in each time?Or does it start confusing the systems?I’d love to hear how others manage multiple setups efficiently. Thanks in advance!

We purchased a home that has 4 in-wall architectural speakers in the living room and 2 outdoor speakers (old Yamaha speakers). Is it possible to run all 6 speakers off the one Amp? And if so, is it possible to have different “zones” (e.g., listen only to the 4 in-wall speakers when watching TV, or listen only to the 2 outdoor speakers when outside)? Or do I need two amps (1 for the 4 in-wall speakers and 1 for the 2 outdoor speakers)?Thank you for your help!

My sonos amp is currently connected to my router. We are moving home and our router will not be next to my sonos amp or my two play 3rs.Is it possible for my whole network to be Wi-Fi in my new house?

I’m asking for help with a karaoke setup connected with HDMI to my TV that has a playbar, sub and two play 300’s.  Will it output though the Sonos system or just the lyrics on screen?  I do not use an amp.

Spent hours with level 2 engineer who had escalated to level 3 engineers. They went through my router settings and changed everything but still could only connect 1 speaker to the system and then any other speaker would error out on setup and say no sonos devices found on mobile device network. The next morning I figured what the heck I will stop using the Nord Secure DNS servers. After making this change was able to setup all devices as normal.

Posting this in the hope it helps others.I recently an Asus XT9 Mesh to replace my Sky Router (FTTP) which frankly was the worst piece of kit I have ever had the misfortune to own! The connection to the ONT worked first time, once I had set the  protocol to Option 61. Then I experienced issues setting up Sonos on WiFi - missing product, random disconnects, App not connecting etc. My Blink Security system also experienced similar problems.After much help here and on other platforms the system is rock steady. No disconnects or other issues on either hardware. Hello Sonos fans,I have some Sonos devices (Arc, Sub, 2x Era 300) connected to a “multimedia” vlan grouping also my connected TV, a Nintendo console, a Bose speaker etc. All these devices can access directly to Internet and they can be reached by Internet (music streaming...). They can see each other on this vlan.Laptops, smartphones, ipad are connected on an another vlan “home”.By default, traffic inter vlan is blocked. Which ports should be opened between the home and multimedia VLANs for managing Sonos speakers from the home VLAN and in which direction (home to multimedia and multimedia to home)?Additional information: my network is managed with an Ubiquiti UDM SE.Thank you in advance for your help.

I currently have a Sonos system consisting of Arc, Gen 3 Bass, and (2) ERA 300 speakers. I am interested in up grading the Arc to a Arc Ultra. The problem I have is the horror stories of individuals that have done this is people had to do factory resets on the other speakers and True Play sound calibration does not work. This is beyond my abilities. I talked to Best Buy and basically told me there are no guaranties this is going to work. What I'm afraid of is to buy the upgrade and end up with a system that does not work, even putting the original back in place. I even want the the ACE headphones added during this process. I have no problem paying someone to do the work, but finding someone that will guaranty it will work is impossible. Any idea of what I can do to guaranty the upgrade and have peace of mind. Hi, I moved to a new place last year, a two-storey apartment. Since then (and maybe also linked to the big Sonos update), I’m experiencing quite some issues with my Sonos installation.It got so bad that I thought I’d buy two additional Era 100 speakers to replace my Play:1 and a One SL, but in fact this doesn’t have seemed to make a difference (so meanwhile I just added them as extra speakers - but that wasn't the intention of course).The issues I’m experiencing: Sonos App performing badly (devices randomly not showing up, speakers working but some not allowing to manage the volume, songs playing 10-15 seconds after having selected them, sometimes the app just keeps loading the devices infinitely without showing any, ...) Iv just purchased a new tv (Hisense 75u8qua) and Sonos beam.  Had the beam connected to old tv last night and all worked fine.  New tv arrived and have set up, missing sound from some tv shows.  Trying to watch lioness and can only hear the background noise and no dialogue.plugged in using Arc hdmi, used the supplied HDMI cord etc.  cannot get it to work.  

I have a full sonos setup with sonos sub playbar and the other small speakers, i just ordered a laser light for partys but i did some research and found out sonos does not have any way to connect to DMX? Does anyone have any other suggestions/ recommendations/solutions??  can i forexample connect to my sonos system on s pc and run a dmx cable from the pc to the laser?

I have a home theater setting with front in wall speakers powered by a sonos amp and rear ceiling speakers powered by a second sonos amp.  I also have a Definitive Technologies in wall subwoofer powered by a Definitive Technologies SubAmp 600 getting it’s signal from the Sonos Amp.  The SubAmp 600 has knobs to control volume, crossover frequency, and phase.  The Sonos app has controls to control volume, crossover frequency, and phase.  My question is, which one of these should I be use to set these parameters?  What should the other one be set at it?  

I am having a hell of time reconnecting my Sonos One to my WiFi network.  Just when I think I’ve found the secret sequence of steps (and I’ve documented them for myself and AWAYS requires a factory reset and setting up a New System), those steps no longer work and now I’m getting an error message I’ve never seen before (“Your Sonos has been connected to the network but may not show up...”).  What the heck is that?  I can forget about connecting this product to Spotify now.   Come one, guys.  I need a much more repeatable process from you.  Oh, yeah.  One other thing.  Why is the speaker unexpectedly dropping off my WiFi to begin with.  With this new error message I can’t seem to get it back on to where it matters...so I guess the question isn’t relevant.  If this product is too old to support Spotify on a WiFi network, let me know….and if you can guarantee that it will.
