I already have a Sonos system with a Playbar, Sub & 2 x Play:3s, and I’m looking at adding my old turntable & CD player. It looks like my best options are the Amp or getting a second hand Connect:Amp online. And Amp would be about three times the cost, what would I be missing out on if I went for the older options? I seem to remember reading a conversation that for some reason I might even be better off with a connect:amp but can’t find it or work out why that would be?
Hello. We are in the process of renovating our older home, and we are going to add an outdoor patio. The patio will be covered. The electronics not be exposed to direct weather, but we do have a fair amount of summer humidity where we live.We are going to mount a tv in a protected area, but I'm looking advice on speakers. I would rather not add an amplifier. We primarily want to listen to tv or stream music, and would like to switch between the two seamlessly. We will be streaming tv via roku or chromecast. My original thought was a Sonos Arc, but I am worried about the humidity. A Sonos 5 is a possibility, but I am unsure if you can direct wire into the tv.Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.
What can I add to make my Sonos system better I have the Arc,sub, and 2 one sl’s don’t get me wrong it is awesome I am one for always making improvements not that they are needed
I’ve just sold my play bar, and it appears as a redeemed product, but how do I get the 30% off the beam I am about to buy. As the play bar is no longer connected to my system?
IMac with Big Sur OS; Bluetooth Activated & H’phones ‘connected’. Music source used for Sonos is iTunes Library & PlaylistsSonos Bridge; Play-1; Play-3 Simple question - can I use my H’phones to listen to my Music on Sonos (I can do this by listening directly to iTunes i.e through ‘Music’ option on iMac) & if so how do I set this up? Thank you Keith
Im trying to return a One SL, but when I enter my waybill number on the DHL site, I’m told:“Courier pickup cannot be scheduled for an import shipment.”Anyone got any ideas? This is driving me crazy…
Hi Sonos comm , I have a Sonos 2 app with various speakers and Sonos boost, so all reasonably modern. Looking to use a pioneer DJ 200 mixing deck , it would appear I could plug this into a Sonos Connect gen 2 (not 1 ) to incorporate my existing Sonos speakers ? Want to try and keep the cost down as I know there is now the port etc , just looking at a short cut with compatible Sonos products as I can buy the connect fairly cheap (£200) off eBay ? Just checking b4 i buy the connect gen 2 , would seem fairly straight 4wd , this is for home fun only , not professional, thanks peeps 🙏🙏 Tom
I’ve been looking recently at getting a Port to use in my office and bringing in my receiver and 5 disc CD changer -- probably going to add a TT as well. I have a stero pair of Play:1’s in there and plan to add a sub next time I can get a reburb/open box or sale. The Port would help me even without the TT and I see them listed on eBay as “BRAND NEW, IN BOX” for $349.xx USD. What is the catch here? How are they $100 off MSRP? Closest I found to that was BB “open box - excellent” for $381.xx but it sold too quick.Should I just pick one up off of eBay? Is there a benefit to buying from BB over eBay? Any other buying advice/tips?Thanks!
I currently own a Sony soundbar. Each time I’m watching a film, I have to constantly turn the volume up (when characters are speaking) and down (when the action starts).Years ago, I had a 5.1 system, which allowed me adjust each separate channel, so I raised the one with the dialogue (the centre channel) and that solved the issue. So, my question is this: Does the Sonos Arc allow you to increase the volume of specific channels so I can increase dialogue?
Sound quality? Anyone have any feedback please?
Hi all, I was hoping I could have some recommendations for a Sonos set up for our living room. We have a 55” TV in the corner of the 15’ square room with the sofa on the wall opposite. My options are either an Arc on its own, or the 5.0 Surround Set with the Beam and One SL pair.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks
I have a sound base, sub and two Play 1’s for my home theater in a living room that is approx 14 x 18 feet. One 18 foot side is open to a dining room. Equipment yeahI am about to wall mount a 75” tv and want to hang a sound bar and move the sound base to another room. We sit 13 feet from the screen which will be 75-80 inches. Should I buy an arc or a beam? Please explain why you advise one or the other. Thank you fellow Sonos enthusiast.
Hey allI have a turntable with a pre-amp that I currently connect to my Play5. However I will be adding wired-outdoor speakers that I need to connect into the broader system. And I want to move my Play5 away from the turntable. I also have a Play 3 and a Play 1.Can I get the Sonos outdoor speaker set w/Amp and plug both the outdoor speakers AND the turntable into the amp? More importantly, can I then play the turntable without having to necessarily play the outdoor speakers at the same time. I want to control them separately. If not, then what is my best option? Confused! Thanks!
Hi, placed an order and received notification that it’s being sent from Holland, does anyone know if this will be subject to import charges following brexit. I thought the order would be fulfilled in UK.
I’m thinking about expanding my Sonos system to my wired speakers with a Sonos Amp. Now, this product is about to be 2yo, you think is a good time to buy or a Sonos Amp 2 might be on it’s way? Thanks!
Is the Project Debut Carbon Sonos Edition turntable the same model as the manufacturer's or is it different? It only changes what has the Sonos logo?

I’m putting together a new Sonos system for home theater and music on a budget. I currently have an old but high-end receiver, front L/R and front center speakers. I would like to create a Sonos system that incorporates two wireless Sonos speakers (Most likely Sonos One or Symfonisk Bookshelf) as wireless rears for a 5.0 or 4.0 set up. I know that I can replace my receiver and fronts with an Arc or Beam. Do I have any other options for the front speakers if I want to use some combination of my existing equipment to create a surround system? For example, would any of the combinations below work for surround sound? Sonos Connect (Gen 2) or Port → Receiver → Front L/R/Center + Rear L/R Sonos One Sonos Amp → Front L/R + Rear L/R Sonos OneThank you!
I have a Sonance DAB1 Distributed Audio system in my house. This is the type of system that has a control panel (wired remote) on the wall in each room that has built in speakers that allow you to turn that room sound on/off, change the source, and change the volume. The system also has a main controller (think large amplifier that allows for system programing) that runs the system.I’d like to convert the speakers in this system to sonos, but I don’t know if this is possible and what it would take to do it. Ideally I’d be able to remove the DAB1 controller and use Sonos Amp or something like that to control each pair of speakers, I just don’t know if this is possible since there are control panels for each pair that currently control them.
Can I play vinyl on a Bluetooth enabled turntable and a Sonos Move?
I am purchasing Sonos arc and sub. I am conflicted on purchasing (2) one SL or purchasing the amp so I can run speakers. My room is 15 x 20 with 8ft ceiling and my recliner couch is against the rear wall. I have a few questions. Can I connect 2 in ceiling rear speakers and 2 inwall left and right? If so, can I use 1 Sonos amp to do so?Aside from cost and installation. Will one application sound better than the other? As a note, my Primary use is for home theater but how for an adequate music listening. I appreciate any and all suggestion and guidance. I know you guys are all busy!
Evening,Got an item on backorder. Is there any warning before they try and take funds? Don't really want to sit with a chunk of cash in my regular account for that long.CheersJim
Hi,I am considering buying a Sonos system to create a multi-room music experience at home. I currently have a good amplifiers/radio/speaker system in the living room and understand that a Sonos Port (449€) would be appropriate to serve as a Sonos hub for the set-up.Also the Sonos One SL (199 €) would be a good kitchen speaker integrated into the system. The problem is connecting my B&W Zeppelin Wireless to the set-up. The Zeppelin can connect via Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm aux input, but I can’t find a suitable Sonos component to connect it. Sonos doesn’t support bluetooth connections and the Sonos Port seems to be overkill, since all I need would be a Sonos SL, but without the speaker (should not cost more than 100€).Is there something I am missing, or should I rather look at other brands of multi-room equipment.
just bought a sub3, and connected to my system,,, can now see that there is not trade up discount attatched,,, is that right?? somebody??
When you look into the Sonos arc which they sell at Costco‘s would it be wise to also attach the subwoofer? And if you do that, do you need rear speakers with that type of sound bouncing off the ceiling?
