Apologies for the really stupid and basic question….If I buy a sounder such such as an Arc or Beam and then add in a stereo pair of Ones to use as back speakers, how does it appear in the Sonos system? I have a few Sonos speakers which we use for music and radio, and want to see if I can reuse one of my existing Ones, add in a stereo pair and it still be usable as both a home cinema setup and also for my current audio needs. If listening to audio in the home I probably wouldn’t need the Arc/Beam to be joining in, although maybe it doesn’t matter. But if I start watching TV I wouldn’t want it to broadcast across the entire house. What I’m trying to get at is that I want a really simple system that doesn’t involve any fiddling about with configuration and settings to use on a day to day basis.Again sorry this feels like such a stupid question and it was quite hard to phrase so I hope it makes some sense.
I have two ones, one in the kitchen and one in the living room. There are no physical walls separating these spaces and the speakers are about 30 feet apart. I’m considering adding the sub but I’m looking for affirmation that this new setup will sound good. Because of space limitations the sub would have to be placed in a corner approximately 20 feet from each speaker. Thoughts?
I currently have no Sonos products and know very little about them. I am looking for a very economical way to add streaming from Deezer to my traditional Hifi. I think the Sonos Connect can do this but would I need any other equipment? I mention the Connect as they seem to be around £50 used and this seems about as cheap as I can find.
Hi Folks,I have a Sonos Arc, the Sub Woofer and a Sonos Move. I don’t currently use the Sonos Move to create a home cinema with the Arc as it is constantly moved around the house. I am considering purchasing another Sonos Move or x2 Sonos One’s to add to the Sonos Arc and Sub and create a full Home Cinema Experience. I don’t however have easy access to power points for the Sonos One’s. I am wondering whether there are any major benefits to purchasing the Sonos One’s over another Sonos Move, particularly if i need to go to the effort of running cabling under the floor to the Sonos One’s.
Used 3 upgrade credits on weekend on older speakers to buy discounted 3 new speakers. But no discount applied at checkout, and Sonos has not responded to email, sales centre do not pick up phone and online chat does nothing after 30 minutes. Similar threads have been closed after a few months. One item suggest that one would only get ONE discounted item anyway even if upgrading multiple products. I do not know if true but if so, would be very inefficient. Ie. make three separate orders to get three discounts. Hopefully someone from Sonos reads these posts.
Since I live in Colombia where Sonos and Google Assist are not yet auth. for use am I better off just getting the cheaper Roam SL?
Home wifi, 2 Sonos speakers working well. We have a turntable and a DVD-player (that we use to play CDs but the amplifier and speaker connected to the turntable and DVD/CD player are very old.I want to stream the turntable music and music from CDs through the SONOS speakers. Can I simply obtain a SONOS amplifier and just plug both devices into the SONOS amplifier and have the music appear in my SONOS speakers? Thanks for advice! Michael S
I am interested in getting the new Sonos Ray but our tv is a bit older. We have a digital audio out that looks really similar to an optical outlet, which is required for the Ray. Does anyone know if that port will work?
Hi. I am hoping to mount my Sonance Outdoor speakers around my yard, using some type of in-ground pole or stake for mounting. Is there a brand/model that is recommended for this? Thanks.
I have 2 x ZP100 and 2 x ZP80 that, despite all working perfectly, it’s probably time to ‘upgrade’ them….more because S2 might be worthwhile having (hmmm).I understand that I can get a discount on buying new Sonos products if I submit them into the Upgrade Programme but really unclear how this works if I retire all 4 items at the same time. Each ZP80 and ZP100 shows 30% discount. Thus if I submit them all into the Upgrade programme can I then buy 4 separate Sonos items, at different times, and get 30% off each? Or if I submit all 4 items at the same time do I get only one 30% discount on buying one Sonos item?Or do I just enter say one of the ZP80 into the Upgrade programme, get the 30% discount, buy a new Sonos product with 30% off, and enter the next ZP80 (or 100) into the Upgrade programme some time later when I need another Sonos product, get 30% off...and repeat until all 4 have been ‘Upgraded’?I also see in the FAQs that I can keep, and continue to use, the ZP80/100 even after ent

Hi All,I have an LG Oled C7V (2017 year) and Sonos Playbar. Looking for upgrade to Sonos Arc, but have a question related to newly supported formats (Atmos, TrueHD etc). there is a note that TV should support eARC which is supported with HDMI 2.1. But according to various articles i have read, the HDMI 2.0b also supports Dolby Atmos. Questions - will i get all the Sonos features working with my TV?
I would like to add 2 rear speakers to my Sonos Arc, but I’m confused about which ones I need - is it the Sonos one, or Sonos one SL? I don’t understand the difference - thank you!
Hello,I’m trying to make a purchase, but the checkout page won’t work. It redirects me to the background sonos site, but without any checkout-specific information.
I am moving into a new home. I would like a speaker out side-not wired in but would like to leave it outside. Inside I would like a speaker in the kitchen, master bath, art room and living room. Sometimes I will want them all playing at the same time and other times just in one area. What are your recommendations. Thanks.
Hi 👋🏻 Lots of old posts about this but nothing recent so just checking that my understanding of the process is correct. We have several products that are eligible, our speakers are play:1 and play:5. We cannot at the moment afford to buy new versions of everything and are wondering if we were to choose the upgrade process are the old devices rendered unusable by Sonos? (Software update that stops then being used for example) or can they continue to be used. Also does the discount have to be used on a like for like product? therefore we couldn't upgrade our existing play:1 to a 5 for example?thanks in advance
Hi Community - will I lose any sound quality, create lag, or run into compatability issues in this setup? + Projector (back of room ViewSonic px701hd)+ AppleTV/AmazonFireStick/Roku Stick - directly connected to projector with HDMI+ Sonos Connect Gen 1 - running optical to HDMI output adapter out of Connect and HDMI cable into projector (no eARC avail)+ Sonos Beam - at front of room wirelessly bonded via Connect+ 2 Sonos Play:1 - back/side surround speakers wirelessly bonded via Connect I assume running a direct line across the room out from projector 3.5mm and converting to optical for Connect wouldn't gain anything? Or even degrade? I'm a bit confused what actually introduces lag that people talk about in this forum, since I don't use network/cable TV, hopefully I'm not introducing that? Am I right to assume compatibility of Sonos mobile app won't be an issue as long as I get a Beam Gen 1? I believe Beam Gen 2 and Connect Gen 1 don't like to be on the same app. I already have one of t
Ok, I’ve seen some old articles saying you’ll likely not have Sonos in your car… well if figures that since March 2022, Sonos does make systems for the car, starting with Audi… Well, I’ve got a new Audi now and had no choice but to have Sonos with it… now, I have no other Sonos product… only the Sonos system installed in my car. Does the App connect if you don’t have it registered with any other product? is this something that Sonos is thinking of bringing to the car (if it’s not available yet)? Do you generally need the App as a way to fine tune the quality of listening? Because I haven’t been able to balance the system to sound good enough (using the controls from the car)...
Hello and thank you for allowing me to join the group!! I am looking to purchase a Portable Blue tooth speaker. I have narrowed my choices between the Sonos Roam and the JBL Charge 5. I am torn between the two. I really like the versatility of the Roam but am not impressed with the reviews about the battery life, sound quality, inability to connect , soundstage, and distortion and higher volumes. The Charge 5 seems like a better choice regarding these aspects but it lacks all the possible features of the Roam. I really like the AirPlay feature of the Roam but if it is troublesome, I would be very frustrated with the Roam. I was hoping for some guidance and input from anyone who would offer some advice in which may be the better choice. Thank you so much for any help!!
It was talked about this product, if it is as described in the leaks, being a good secondary/small tv as well as potentially a rear surround instead of Ones. However, I am wondering if it would be a good computer speaker as well you would just need an optical to headphone jack converter which would be wildly available. Thoughts?
A little background information. My current setup is a sonos arc, sonos gen 3 sub, sonos amp powering speakercraft Crs6 roof speakers. I have sonos in ceiling speakers (purchased before I bought the house the setup is in) and found I have a mounting depth issue for the ceiling speakers. The sonos ceiling speakers need 4.75” depth and I have 4”. I am very handy with wood working and could make trim rings to drop down the ceiling speakers 3/4” but I guess my question is: is it even worth the trouble? Are the sonos in Ceiling speakers going to be worth it for the true play tuning or should I just get a different high end lower profile roof speaker?
So I got ARC, Sub3 and rear speakers to run Atmos sound, but as pleased I am, I have been wondering that how big can build around this system?ARC is taking care of most of front, side and ceiling channels, but can I integrate to this system dedicated Side and height speakers if I want to, like One SL or Roam? And is there possible to use Ikea Symphonisk speakers integrated to this setup?
Hello im not aboe to make a VAT free purchase one EU country to another - I did this in February now its not showing an option. I was told on phone last week its a site priblem which should be recolved soonIm buying in a Cyprus company for business use.
We have a Samsung Frame TV (which has a One Connect Box) in our Kitchen and we have Sonos amps located in our Garage which has the AV rack. The Kitchen has ceiling mounted speakers which are driven by the Sonos amp. What I would like to do is to have the TV’s output sent to the Sonos amp. I have 1 CAT6 cable that runs from the AV rack to the TV where it is plugged into a switch and from the switch, I have a cable that goes to the back of the One Connect box and another to the SKY Q box. The Samsung One connect box also has a Optical Out so can I use this output and provide the output to Sonos using the ethernet cable and some Ethernet connector. However, this means that I cannot use the ethernet cable for anything else. In reality, I should have run more cables but it is too late now.
Hi all,I currently have a Playbase but I’m moving to a new property and would like to up my Sonos game! I’m planning on buying two Beam’s (Gen 2) as TV speakers, and 2 One SLsOne SL will be in the kitchen and the other in a bedroom and I’m figuring I can move them into one of the TV rooms for enhanced viewing experience when required by creating a group? My actual questions relates to a central ‘hub’ - what I’m wanting is a screen, on which I can watch, say, Netflix if I choose, in the kitchen (sound from the hub or One SL) or stream music via Spotify, sound from the One SL and/or Beam.Does anyone have any experience with different hubs and pros/cons of what I’m hoping to do (or if it’s even feasible)? I’ve been looking at the Nest Hub 2nd genThanks in advance
