What to get

Moving from my current home to a new house. I have Sonos One, built-in speakers, now, but plan to switch to a portable smart speaker. I have a ton of CDs stored on my iMac, which I’ll be taking to my new house. What portable Sonos product is best if I want to continue to play music that’s stored on my computer?

Can someone kindly help please?firstly are all the arc known problems resolved with the latest software?I have a playbar, gen 3 sub and 2 play 1s, hand on heart is it worth “ upgrading “ to an Arc? I probably play 75% music, 25% films from Amazon and also blu ray. I don’t play games. The tv is a 55” Samsung with arc and not earc. I am aware of HD Fury Arcana and know how it works for sound formats from tv and blu ray. The current set up is fine but I’d like to have Atmos and hd music.Bear in mind the cost the cost of the arc plus another £150 for Acarina which is the best part of £1000Thank youMartin

Hi All,I have several unused Play:1 in my equipment and just thinking about buying a Ray soundbar. Can I still use the old Play:1 as surround speakers or do I have to buy new One SL ? Thanks a lot,Peter

as title have you purchased and got a receipt or invoice at all

I’m putting a gym in my new townhouse. The room is large with tall ceilings - 13’ ceilings & about 22’x23’ dimensions. I want a killer Sonos system in there to blast high quality music (alternative, rock, hip-hop). I’m willing to spend up to $4K.I’m considering the following and would love any input, advice.-2 Sonos Five’s and 1 Sonos Sub-Sonos Amp with 2 floor standing or 4 bookshelf speakers-Sonos Port (I have an extra one) with a 3rd party  power amplifier and 2 floor standing or 4 bookshelf. If you suggest one of the latter couple options, I’d love to know any ideas for Speakers & Power Amplifier. I’m not super familiar with brands. I’ve been reading a lot of good stuff about Kef and Klipsch lately. Any specific combos of amp & speakers for this use case would be great. Thanks

I currently have:2x Sonos One Sub Amp, which powers 2 non-Sonos wall speakers. This is plugged into the TV through the HDMI eARCI tried to setup a surround system with the 2 Sonos Ones as the rear speakers but it wouldn’t let me.If I added one of the sound bars (Arc/Beam)would I now be able to use my Sonos Ones as rear speakers in a 5.1 system? will the sound bar and Amp (+ wall speakers) be able to play together through wireless Sonos magic? Or will I have to get an eARC splitter or something and plug both of them into the TV?thanks in advance (edit: wow time to change my username I guess. Was peeved with all the old speakers going obsolete but I’ve been happy with Sonos lately)

I knew this was bound to happen…My 25+ y.o. Marantz died a year and a half ago. I was using it for both TV and music.I could just buy another ampli to replace it, since the speakers were (are) still good, but I wanted something “smart”, streaming capable, more compact (speakers are 50x30x20cm approx), lighter, and I’m no audiophile. I usually “hear” the music while I do something else, don’t just sit in my sweet spot listening to it, or just do it briefly. In the end I decided to try something different, and got the Beam, knowing it was a compromise. Nice, but a bit lacking for music, bit shallow, no depth. So I added a Sub:The set up is pleasant indeed, and satisfying for some kind of music (…whenever bass is heavily involved). But recently I got myself a decent couple of earbuds, and realized I’m missing separation, definition and details. What to do?Add a couple Ones. In the front, right and left side of the Beam, to be used only for music, or back to also serve as sorround, but losin

Does anyone know any website apart from eBay and other marketplaces to buy old discontinued Sonos Play-1. I already have a Play-1 and recently bought a Beam 2. I would like to pair the existing Play-1 with the Beam to setup surround speakers. Since the old Play-1 and One SL can’t be paired I’m looking to buy the old Play-1. Upgrading to two One SLs would be expensive for me. Any leads on this is much appreciated. Even if someone is willing to sell, happy to make an offer.

Hello, can’t quite find my exact question/answers in past threads.I want to buy an Arc (centre) and 2 x SL’s (rear L&R)If i want to integrate 2 of my existing speakers (front L&R) and my existing SubIf i buy a sonos AMP, can i get a 5.1 surround set up from my TV?thanks.

I have two Sonos Architectural speakers that are powered by the Sonos amp. If like to buy one more, but I only see options to buy in pairs. Is there a resource for only purchasing one to add to my existing system?

I have a bedroom that is 15’ x17’ with a peaked ceiling 12’ high.Only audio will be utilized in this room. Should I just put one Sonos 5 on a stand at one wall of this room or would I be better served by a different set-up?

Hi. I currently own a Sonos One and a Sonos Roam. I'm considering buying the Pro-ject T1 Phono SB turntable with the Sonos Five speaker so I can get back to listening to vinyl. My living room is quite small and has been served by Sonos One so far, so I believe Sonos Five will be quite the upgrade (One will be moving to another room). I'd therefore love to use Five as my main sound output, also while streaming movies/shows. I don't own a TV and I stream video on my MacBook Pro and project on a wall through a Benq projector (model is from 10 years ago, EP4227, and I use and HDMI cable to connect it to my laptop). In the past, I've tried playing the sound on One while projecting the video (simply by having One and my MacBook on the same WiFi and selecting the sound output on One, while projecting the video through HDMI) but there's always been a substantial lag in the sound. I've given up and always use the MacBook speakers for sound, which is obviously less than optimal. If I am to inves

What is the difference between Gen 1 & Gen 2 Sonos One speaker?

Apologies for the really stupid and basic question….If I buy a sounder such such as an Arc or Beam and then add in a stereo pair of Ones to use as back speakers, how does it appear in the Sonos system?  I have a few Sonos speakers which we use for music and radio, and want to see if I can reuse one of my existing Ones, add in a stereo pair and it still be usable as both a home cinema setup and also for my current audio needs. If listening to audio in the home I probably wouldn’t need the Arc/Beam to be joining in, although maybe it doesn’t matter.  But if I start watching TV I wouldn’t want it to broadcast across the entire house. What I’m trying to get at is that I want a really simple system that doesn’t involve any fiddling about with configuration and settings to use on a day to day basis.Again sorry this feels like such a stupid question and it was quite hard to phrase so I hope it makes some sense.

I have two ones, one in the kitchen and one in the living room.  There are no physical walls separating these spaces and the speakers are about 30 feet apart. I’m considering adding the sub but I’m looking for affirmation that this new setup will sound good.  Because of space limitations the sub would have to be placed in a corner approximately 20 feet from each speaker.  Thoughts?

I currently have no Sonos products and know very little about them. I am looking for a very economical way to add streaming from Deezer to my traditional Hifi. I think the Sonos Connect can do this but would I need any other equipment? I mention the Connect as they seem to be around £50 used and this seems about as cheap as I can find.

Hi Folks,I have a Sonos Arc, the Sub Woofer and a Sonos Move.  I don’t currently use the Sonos Move to create a home cinema with the Arc as it is constantly moved around the house.  I am considering purchasing another Sonos Move or x2 Sonos One’s to add to the Sonos Arc and Sub and create a full Home Cinema Experience.  I don’t however have easy access to power points for the Sonos One’s.  I am wondering whether there are any major benefits to purchasing the Sonos One’s over another Sonos Move, particularly if i need to go to the effort of running cabling under the floor to the Sonos One’s.

Used 3 upgrade credits on weekend on older speakers to buy discounted 3 new speakers. But no discount applied at checkout, and Sonos has not responded to email, sales centre do not pick up phone and online chat does nothing after 30 minutes. Similar threads have been closed after a few months. One item suggest that one would only get ONE discounted item anyway even if upgrading multiple products. I do not know if true but if so, would be very inefficient. Ie. make three separate orders to get three discounts. Hopefully someone from Sonos reads these posts.

Since I live in Colombia where Sonos and Google Assist are not yet auth. for use am I better off just getting the cheaper Roam SL?

Home wifi, 2 Sonos speakers working well. We have a turntable and a DVD-player (that we use to play CDs but the amplifier and speaker connected to the turntable and DVD/CD player are very old.I want to stream the turntable music and music from CDs through the SONOS speakers. Can I simply obtain a SONOS amplifier and just plug both devices into the SONOS amplifier and have the music appear in my SONOS speakers? Thanks for advice! Michael S

I am interested in getting the new Sonos Ray but our tv is a bit older. We have a digital audio out that looks really similar to an optical outlet, which is required for the Ray. Does anyone know if that port will work?

Hi. I am hoping to mount my Sonance Outdoor speakers around my yard, using some type of in-ground pole or stake for mounting. Is there a brand/model that is recommended for this? Thanks.

I have 2 x ZP100 and 2 x ZP80 that, despite all working perfectly, it’s probably time to ‘upgrade’ them….more because S2 might be worthwhile having (hmmm).I understand that I can get a discount on buying new Sonos products if I submit them into the Upgrade Programme but really unclear how this works if I retire all 4 items at the same time. Each ZP80 and ZP100 shows 30% discount. Thus if I submit them all into the Upgrade programme can I then buy 4 separate Sonos items, at different times, and get 30% off each? Or if I submit all 4 items at the same time do I get only one 30% discount on buying one Sonos item?Or do I just enter say one of the ZP80 into the Upgrade programme, get the 30% discount, buy a new Sonos product with 30% off, and enter the next ZP80 (or 100) into the Upgrade programme some time later when I need another Sonos product, get 30% off...and repeat until all 4 have been ‘Upgraded’?I also see in the FAQs that I can keep, and continue to use, the ZP80/100 even after ent

Can i connect a cd player directly to sonos port without having an amplifierI would like to play CDS through Sonos speakers I am looking to purchase a Sonos connect and CD player Do i need anything else ie amplifier I know i can purchase a NAS and stream but i want to play CDS I would also like to add a turntable at some point Help required please

Hi All,I have an LG Oled C7V (2017 year) and Sonos Playbar. Looking for upgrade to Sonos Arc, but have a question related to newly supported formats (Atmos, TrueHD etc). there is a note that TV should support eARC which is supported with HDMI 2.1. But according to various articles i have read, the HDMI 2.0b also supports Dolby Atmos. Questions - will i get all the Sonos features working with my TV?
