What to get

Hi, My daughter got the ProJect T1 with a Sonos 5 speaker last year. Honestly I thought this was just a whim for her and we end up with it in a few months. But - that has not happened. She loves it - and now we’ve all started to love listening to vinyl ( and amazing to me - how it sounds over Apple Music streaming.) It sounds great even when we send it to our paired set of sonos ones and sub mini in the living room.  So know we are going to purchase a new turntable for the living room and I’ve been down the rabbit hole of upgraded turntables and speaker sets. I think I like to get the ProJect Debut Pro or Pro S. The five is an awesome sounding speaker - but will the quality match the higher end turntable - or should I plan to connect it to a better pair of wired speakers and connect it of our Sonos system through the Amp.  And a further question - if we go with the five and end up buying a pair for stereo - do we need to wire them both to the turntable?  Thanks for any advice! Hi guys, I am helping my friend with his Sonos purchase and well I wanted your opinion on the 2 proposed setup: Setup A: Zone 1: Kitchen/Living room combined → Sonos AmpZone 2: Dining Room → Sonos AmpZone 3: Family room (Arc sound bar + Gen 3 sub) This setup visually looks better and has a steeper price tag, main concern is , is it an overkill? also if 5-10 years down the road he moves, well the in-ceiling speakers stay! Total: 10 in-ceiling speakers | 2 Sonos Amp | 2 Era 300 | 1 Arc Soundbar | 1 Gen 3 Sub  Setup B: Zone 1: KitchenZone 2: Mid-Kitchen Zone 3: Living RoomZone 4: Dinning Room (group the 2 Era 100 with 2 Era 300) Zone 5: Family Room (identical in both plans)Main benefit, cost is lower as Era 100s are cheaper and no Sonos Amp is required, in addition if he moves, he can take the speakers with him! PS) I would have suggested to replace 2 of the Era 100 with Era 300 but with his floor plan, there is no way to place the 300 in such a way that their “top” is going to be clear! 

I’m ready to dip my toe into the Sonos ecosystem and am looking for some advice.I’ve been streaming Spotify in our kitchen daily for the past eight years using a first-gen Amazon Echo. I’m excited by the prospect of better sound quality. An Era 100 seems like an easy decision... Swap out one smart speaker with Alexa for another with much better sound.However, I’m wondering if I might be better served with a Beam Gen 1 or Gen 2, as it could serve as both a smart speaker for music streaming and an upgraded soundbar.For context, my family lives in a small two-bedroom apartment with a combined kitchen, dining area, and living room. Our TV is an old LG with RCA and Optical outputs only. Right now we have it connected to a Visio sound bar from 2015 that is pretty mediocre.There are so many variables I’d like to optimize around and it is kinda overwhelming. Has anyone used military discount?  I saw ID.me show 25% military discount for Sonos.com, I log in to my ID.me account as it already had my military record.  It generated a code and redirect me to Sonos.com.  I add sub and speaker to cart but the coupon code is showing “Coupon cannot be added to your basket”.  Anyone know if this is an error or is ID.me discount is only marketing gimmick?  Thanks in advance.  

I'm currently using a Denon AVR with 5 Teufel speakers connected to the AVR with cables. The Samsung TV is connected to the AVR via ARC HDMI. Now I would like to transmit the TV sound in another room parallel to the 5 speakers. Which AVR / AMP do I need and is it even possible? 

I’m looking to create a Sonos sound system for my large open space area: living + dining + kitchen. The main purpose we want to use the system for is listening to music and occasionally movies.The main area where we want the sound to excel is the living area, on the couch, but we also want good sound quality in the dining area. Sound quality in the kitchen I believe is not so important (correct me if I’m wrong) because you have noise when you’re cooking anyway, so just hearing the music is enough.Since we’re not watching movies too often, we think we don’t need a Sonos Arc, but I might be wrong. We’ve been impressed with the sound quality of Era 300, but we’re not sure how to place the speakers for optimal sound quality:We were thinking about mounting 2 Era 300 on the walls on the left and on the right of the dining table, swiveled towards the couch. My main concerns are the angle and the distance which is over 3 meters (10ft).  Would placing 2 Era 300 on the TV wall be a good idea? Ot

Hello,This is my first time investing in speakers and I am looking for recommendations for setup. I have a 65 inch LG TV in my living room and the distance between the screen and the sofa where I usually watch TV is 137 inches. This is an apartment and my living room is open with kitchen. The whole dimensions for the living room including kitchen should be 820 cm length and 462 breadth. In terms of cost, I want to limit it to 1000 euros as I will eventually move out of this apartment for a big home. Here are the two setups I am considering:Beam Gen 2 with 2 Era 100’s Standalone ArcWhich setup would be best for my setup ? I have heard that beam gen 2 is only good for TV’s up to 55 inch ? But on the other hand some articles suggest beam 2 with 2 era 100’s provide better value for money and sound profile. Can someone help a noob out ?

Good Evening to all forum-users👋 I’m living with my granny and got my own small bedroom upstairs.I allready got a Ray and for radio-listening i got a Roam SL on my bedside table.. and an 32” LG smart-tv is coming tomorrow.The room is small with full height sealing in half the room,other half dropping down towards the head-side of my bed.I was wondering…and i’m on a kind of budget. Like i don’t gonna add a Gen sub(or in desperate need of a sub anyway)….if not i’ll come across a really cheep used one of course. I think the Ray got enough bass as it is.I have a pair of extra Era 100 at home,but then i need to wall-mount them…ain’t got the mounts and i only fancy purcase the orginal Sonos one’s. The Era’s can i place on the wall behind my bed,but i allso thinking of getting the Ikea Picture Frame. But they need to be mounted on the side walls so they will be playing toward eachother.I’m not gonna watch a lot of movies,just Youtube and some music during night-time.I’m open for your thought

I do not want surround sound. I want great quality audio found on Sonos app. My living room/dining room is 30 x15, Does one speaker fill my space adequately or do I need two?Is the 100 sufficient or should I purchase the 300.   

I recently moved and need to add more speakers to my Sonos system due to some differences between the two houses. For example, I’m used to having in-ceiling speakers in the living room, but this is not possible in the new house so I had to use in-wall speakers. I’ve attached a drawing of the main room (~800 sf including the living room, dining room, and kitchen) that includes the placement of my current components. I have a Frame TV with in-wall speakers placed low on the same wall. I was having a hard time hearing the TV when I sat in some areas of the living room so I put a Play: 1 in the corner with my Sub as marked. I was also trying to balance the sound of music, which was sounding one-sided given the placement of the in-wall speakers, throughout the room. The Play doesn’t seem to produce adequate sound for the room so I want *one* new speaker where the Play is now and don’t know the best option. I’m also considering putting a Move 2 in the area noted. Hey. I am looking to purchase speakers purely for music. I understand Five’s are the best for music but my concern is with the Five’s being at the end of their lifespan and likely getting replaced soon, would it be better to purchase the era 300’s which are future proof? I have a small living room in an apartment with an arc + sub but i want to use the speakers for music. My biggest concern is purchasing the Five’s now nearly 5 years into their run and then an era 500s release within a year.

Gents I have 0 experience with Sonos Products.However a client of mine has a 4x4 audio signa processor with an external wall mounted remote that gave up the ghost. Simple system 4 inputs (cable box, cd player, Sennheiser mic pre(lapel mic) and a 3.5mm for MP3 player.I was thinking that sonos amp and 2 sonos ports could replace this archaic system without to much trouble. My Idea is that the cable box can go HDMI into the AMP and the 2 ports can handle the mic pre and cd player.  Amp feeds the speakers. For MP3 i guess its apple only and air play.  The question to the community will this work.

Hello guys,I'm looking to upgrade the sound setup for my TV (LG OLED 65 C3). I'm willing to spend around $1000 for this upgrade, this has landed me on either a Sonos Arc or a Sonos Beam2 with a Sonos Sub Mini and later on also get the surround. I live in small/med apartment and not sure if ARC is overkill for that room. My room is only 22m, looks like this LIVING ROOM Also not sure what combination is better if beam2 + Sub mini or Arc. What is your recommendation?Thank you! 

Hello!I am reaching out for some advice on how to best set up my great room (Zone 1), kitchen (Zone 2), and patio (Zone 3). We are building a new house, so running more cable is no issue. I would rather set up the house now with all the wiring ran and slowly buy the Sono’s products to install, than try to fish wire once the house is finished. Also, please refer me the best possible solution (acting like money isn’t an issue even though it is lol). Attached are two different layouts that I could see us doing with the living room furniture, so please refer the best for both layouts. Lastly, the great room ceilings are 20ft tall at the peak so that makes it interesting. The vaulted ceilings end on the dotted line between the great room and the kitchen. I feel like there isn’t a good way to explain everything so sorry for the confusion...Zone 1 - Great room:I am thinking an ARC (plugged in via ethernet) and a sub for sure, but my fear is that might not be enough for how big the room actual

Hi,I’m thinking to change my current Devialet sound system for Sonos used for TV and music. I was considering Sonos Arc but it’s huge compare to my TV. Then the Beam Gen 2 but have read bad reviews especially for ATMOS.any feedback/advices ?thanks

I'm thinking about getting the Sonos Beam as I'm mostly looking to upgrade my TV speakers/current cheap soundbar (Samsung HW-N400). So I'm looking for an allrounder that I can use for streaming, standard TV program and movies.The Sonos Beam seems to match that requirements though I'm unsure if it works for my room layout. I'm living in a studio apartment (without terrace it's about 42 sqm and if I take out bathroom and corridor its probably around 34 sqm for the main room). See following link to the room layout. I just added the bed (from where I'm watching mainly from) and the TV. To the left there is the closet. To the right is the couch, desk, dinning table and in the top right is the kitchen.Distance to TV is around 3,5 meters. Wall to the left is close but wall to the right is several meters away. Does the Sonos Beam work with such a room layout? Since I would prefer not to spend more than 500€ the Arc is beyond that budget and from what I’ve read I’m not sure if it’s worth double

I have been running on Sonos 1 for probably 7-8 yrs now-haven’t claimed upgrade credits yet and am hoping someone is just willing to give me advice about what to purchase. I “inherited” the system and love it but just am not technical-but enjoy the benefits of the system greatly. I haven’t claimed upgrade credits yet and want to use wisely. My old distributive amp died. I have 6 zones with two speakers each. What do I need in the way of Sonos hardware, to get this working?

There appear to be 2 stands available for the Era 300s.  There is one made by Sonos and the other by Sanus?  Since one is significantly less expensive it would be good to know what you are getting for the extra money.   Does anyone know? 

Playing YouTube from my iPhone  I’m considering buying a Sonos beam and satellite speakers so that  can enjoy my music from my iPhone. Just reading some mixed messages… the whole point of the system is to play my music but I don’t use pay monthly music services. Will it work or do I buy a different system? 

I have a small wine shop. We have indoor retail space (1100 sq ft), an outdoor deck in the front 18x30 ft, and a small bench outdoors on the side. I want to stream background music in the 3 zones and manage volume separately. I currently stream Pandora for Business. Will 2 pair of outdoor speakers and the Amp work? How would I connect iPad/iPhone to stream Pandora? Bluetooth, cable? Or would I need another device?
