What to get

We’re setting up a home theater in a small-ish room [11’ x 13’, 8’ ceiling] and have ordered an Arc to use with a LG 65Nano90. Would it be good to add a Sub or would we find it to be too much for the room? I know the Sub will add bass [you can feel] and all that [yes, we like bass], but is this what we need for the room? Would a couple of one’s balance out the room better. Thanks!

Hello,I am in the process of purchasing a house, it’s still in foundation, therefore wiring still needs to be assembled, while doing this process I would like to know if it’s possible and HOW to have a multi-room system with the ability to control one room only for example when watching TVI am not a fan of wires, therefore having something like a ceiling speaker system would be great, however I’m not sure whether it’s possible to achieve this, with or without AMP ?I am know nothing of speaker systems so help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :) PS: I have no sound systems yet purchased

Why does Sonos connect need to be that big? why cant it be so small that I can simply hide it behind my thin tv mounted on the wall?

Before purchasing the Sonos Amp, I was pairing my B&W CM7 floorstanders with Creek Destiny amp, and the source was Sonos Connect via Lindemann DAC. I have bid farewell to the Creek, the Connect, the DAC, and now very much enjoy the simplicity of Sonos Amp + CM7, but also find that my previous system sounded better, with more texture and details.Since I love the Amp’s versatility and want to spend my life with it, do you think a better pair of speakers will improve the situation? I am willing to spend up to 3000$, but I am not sure if the 649$ Amp is able to drive such hi-end speakers to their finest. In most reviews I have read, they usually pair the Amp with sub-500 or sub-1000$ speakers only.Many thanks for your insights.

I am replacing my home theater tv with a new LG CX (which is eARC compatible). Currently I have a 10 year old Yamaha with regular front, center, rear ceiling and sub driving everything (no Sonos). Looking at potentially upgrading, and the way it appears I have 5 options:Leave as is and just plug in. Cost $0. No sound enhancement, no Sonos & lots of clutter. Sonos Arc, Sub & Amp for rear ceiling. Cost $1500 or so using 2 trade up credits.  Sonos Arc, Sub & Rear. Cost $1300 or so using 1 trade up credit. Plus would probably buy stands to put behind and not hang because of cord so another $200+. 2 Amps, one to drive the current front speakers and current sub and 1 to drive the current rear speakers. Lose center channel I believe? Cost $900 or so using 2 trade up credits. Use 2 configuration as above, lose the Amp for rear ceiling and repurpose either two Play 1s or Play 3s for rear. Uses only 1 trade up credit but would have to buy stands so about $1100 + $200+ for stands.If m

I want to purchase the correct setup and need advice before I buy. I haven’t bought anything yet but I need to know this will work both ways flawlessly without a lot of user input when toggling back and forth. I want to watch or the game with high quality surround on the patio but the other half the time I want to use the system as a stereo system. I was thinking of the arc, the sub, and 2 Sonos five speakers. My question is does Sonos allow me to have one configuration as a home theater setup and have the pair of fives as surround speakers to complement the arc and sub and another configuration that would allow hifi setup with the pair of fives with the arc and sub complementing them When playing music. If so would it be easy to switch back and forth.

Bonjour,j’ai récemment fait l’acquisition d’une Symfonisk étagère chez Ikea, mon but premier étant de l’utiliser pour remplacer la barre de son de ma télé qui m’a lâché. Voyant que ça fonctionnait en Wifi et non en bluetooth et qu’il n’y avait pas de prise jack, j’ai bien demandé à la vendeuse si je pouvais la relier à mon décodeur TV via mon réseau Wifi et elle m’a dit oui. Pour le moment, je n’ai pas réussi à la faire fonctionner pour faire sortir le son de ma TV, et d’après les quelques infos que j’ai pu trouver sur internet ça me paraît impossible. Quelqu’un a déjà réussi à la faire fonctionner de cette façon ? Si c’est impossible, quel modèle me conseilleriez-vous pour cet usage là ? Actuellement j’utilise ma JBL charge 3 temporairement branché en AUX mais j’aimerais une barre de son (ou autre modèle du genre de la Stmfonisk). Merci !

So, two months ago I bought a Sonos ARC, Sonos sub and two Sonos One’s for a family room setup.  I am eventually moving to Florida with the setup and the room will be 20x20 open into a kitchen that is 18x14.  The ceilings are 12-14ft hight.  The Best Buy salesman was concerned that with ceiling heights like those, the Atmos sound would not work well with the ARC.  Then he said to just add a Sonos Amp and two in-ceiling speakers when I move and that would provide adequate Dolby Atmos sound.  So, today I went in to look at outdoor speakers and we got into a conversation about what I currently have and what I wanted to do in Florida with this room.  This time two of them in the store said it won’t work, and at the very least be ineffective for what we want.  In fact, they suggested I go to a traditional receiver to do Atmos in a room that size.  Does anyone here have a room with volume like that and will it work?

Hello and thank you in advance for any help with this question. I have 4 rooms that I am trying to setup for music streaming (dining room, living room, gym, kitchen). All 4 of the rooms have their own existing speakers/amps that I either use a 3.5mm jack or Bluetooth to play music through. I would like to keep my existing speakwr/amp combos as it is all nice equipment with good sound. I however would like to be able to control all 4 of the rooms with a system like Sonos, so that I could have the same music playing in any or all 4 of the rooms at the same time. I am getting lost in that every system I seem to look at wants me to use their speakers/amps.  Almost all the music I play is through Spotify on my phone. Thank you, Will

Hi - Pretty sure im not the only one but i’m extremely confused by the the trade up and whether my products are compatible with S2.   I have an old play 3, play 1, connect amp and a bridge.. On the my system page under the upgraded section it lists the connect and bridge.  I can print off a shipping label for these.   Does this mean that if i send them off then i will get a free replacement sent to me? On the trade up page i see my play 1 and play 3 as expected.   And i’m able to use the 30% offer. Im interested to find out as i wanted to upgrade to a new play 3 and a sonos beam set with 2 play1’s and a woofer.  Im holding back on this purchase as i’m unsure what i need to do with the connect amp and boost. Im also a little concerned about system reception, as it stands its a little flakey and im unsure as the whether it has fallen back to wifi rather than sonos mesh.   Will the connectivity be better with s2, i have sky, will that still cause issues as it does now. Thanks for your hel

Hi all I already have a connect running in my home. Can I add a connect amp to use in another room connected to different speakers ? Will it interfere with the connect. My wi fi is eero mesh with no problems with Sonos 

hi.i am currently looking to replace a 20yo bose 5.1 setup…my tv sits on top of living room furniture.the tv is sitting high. i was hoping it would be ok to mount the sonos arc above the tv. our seating is the normal couch and chair setup.how bad would sound quality be with it being mounted so high? I do not have the option of putting it anywhere else at this time…thanks...joe

I have ordered a Sonos Five recently and I am quite curious to know how much power does the Sonos Five deliver or the wattage or how low does the Sonos Five go? There is no relevant information available on Interent. Also, does the Sonos only use the 2.4GHz bandwidth? If so, can I switch between 5GHz and 2.4 GHz, when not using and using the product respectively? Regards,SB

Which is a better buy? Sonos Five pair with Sub Gen 3 vs Kef LS50 Wireless from pure sound quality perspective. Both these configurations are similarly priced (LS50 Wireless is on same for quiet sometime for $1700).  I have heard pair of Sonos Five. While I like the music coming out of it, I think it does not match anywhere closer to Kef LS50 Wireless. But I am not sure adding a sub gen3 to Sonos Five changes the equation.  Reason for my question is, I am already in Sonos eco system (Move, Arc with Sub and One SLs) and so wondering if I should continue expanding in Sonos eco system or go with Kef LS50 Wireless. I understand I can buy Kef LS50Wireless and connect it to Sonos Amp but that again changes the pricing, hence wanted to know between Kef LS50 Wireless and Sonos Fives with Sub 

I have fairly small living room (about @15-20 sq. m) and my current setup is: Beam +  2 Symfonisk as surrounds (+ when listening music) and Move.  I would like to get Five as my main music player but would that be overkill in my small condo? Symfonisks as stereo pair and Move are already pretty good in it. What you guys think I should get next?I'm getting 65" inch TV with Dolby Atmos, should I get arc with it? Ive been super happy with beam tho..

In my main space in my home I am currently running the Beam, Sub and 2x Play 1’s set up. My listening is 75% music / 25% media. I’m underwhelmed with the Beam for music and am considering a slight upgrade to the Amp and some smaller bookshelf units for some better sound. Right now I’m looking at the Jamo S 803, Elac Debut 2.0 and the AudioEngine P4’s. I don’t have a ton of space but would like some slightly bigger sound. I’d like to go with the 4.1 set-up so I can add a future record player so the Arc isn’t an option. I’m curious if anyone is running any of these pairings and can offer advice on what type of sound upgrade I could expect over the Beam? Thanks so much

Hey everyone, first post here!Moving to a new place at the end of the year and considering what sound system to get. I've had a small Sonos One in my current place (small living room where I use it mostly for music) which I love, so I'm thinking of fully buying into the Sonos ecosystem.Currently thinking about the TV set-up, I've got a 55" TV with eArc capability which would work well both with the beam and arc. My biggest concern is that the Open Plan is L-Shaped (roughly 60sqm), so the "TV Area" will actually have a wall on only one side, will the Arc work well anyway or should I get the beam and invest in a couple of Sonos Ones for the rear?Would this be enough to have some background music in the other parts of the open plan?Note: I'm not too into sound so I'm not looking for super precision, I just don't want it to be terribleThanks :) Open Plan layout 

Sonos Gang,I have a Play 5 (1st Gen) in the corner of my rectangular roomed kitchen-diner (approx 8m x 3.5m) and I think it’s time to upgrade. Two options in my price range - a direct single replacement of the Play 5 for a new Sonos 5 or two Sonos One SLs, separated in each corner. The two SLs would be approx 3.5m apart so should have good stereo separation but the 5 is obviously better kit on a single speaker comparison. Two x 5s would be ideal but budget and side space won’t stretch to that.Any strong opinions on what would give better depth and sound experience. Music tends to not be that base heavy where the 5 would really shine.Thanks  

For many different reasons, it seems that I will be needing a 3rd party receiver to drive my living room speakers.    Although I have been eyeing the Sonos Amp for some time, it just doesn’t seem to be the right fit for me.   I will be running a setup with 4 in ceiling speakers. Likely 8 inches with pivoting tweeters from Klipsch, B&W or B&O. Could be Klipsch Reference-series or the B&W CCM683.    I have a Sonos Sub but it will likely be too small for my living room area so I will likely be getting a 10-12inch 3rd party sub as well.  That means a 4.1 system (with a phantom center making it 5.1).    I would like to keep the possibility open for adding two front speakers (floor-standing) to step up to Atmos at some point using two of the in-ceilings for height and the other two as rears.   Any good recommendations for a good 3rd party receiver which “Works with Sonos?   Would also like some input on how well it works - does the receiver switch on, switch input and adjust volu

I want to power an oudoor subwoofer as well as four outdoor "rock speakers." I have an older Sonos Connect and Sonos Connect Amp.  I also have an amplifier. The equipment I have is listed below. Can you help me figure out how to set this up? Should I get a new AMP? can that power all four rock speakers and the sub as well? Hello, I’m new to Sonos, I own none of the products yet. I would like to get a set up in our open concept living space. I’ve attached a drawing. It’s approximately 800 sq ft with 8 foot ceilings. I don’t know if it makes sense to try and set up any stereo pairs of speakers with the way the layout is. It’s basically a living room with a dining area and kitchen at the end of it. We would sit on the couch listening to music sometimes, but tend to be busy doing things throughout the space. I’m not interested in anything for the television, it would be just for listening to music. I’m open to options of any number of combinations, all fives, all ones, mix of fives and ones, a sub thrown into any combination of those. Whatever you think might be the best option. I’ve put green stars at 7 potential spots for sonos devices to sit. I’m interested in hearing from others that have experimented with music set ups in an open living space. Let me know what other information I may need to provide. Th

Hi, I just bought a used Sonos One Gen 2 speaker. I have read in the Sonos documentation that the warranty is transferable, but only if BOTH the previous and new owner register the transfer of ownership with Sonos. But unfortunately, no additional information is provided by Sonos on how to do this and the Sonos website offers absolutely no help on this. Thank you!
