The new app is broken, they know it. So why not do the right thing and give us back the one that worked?  This one a pile of excrement, and has very little that does function correctly. is the new app punishment ?

Hi - New Sonos app - May 2024I used to be able to add a list of songs to a current queue, now i cannot do this, help please.

This new version is absolutely rubbish. I have found that most of the radio stations in my Sonos Favourites will now not even play. Try to play the station and nothing happens just silence.who ever designed this version should be sacked. Get the older version back NOW !!!!!!

The first update was bad enough. But I could at least access my Local Library and scroll the songs in there. As we’ve all noted you couldn’t actually search !Now however I can scroll albums, artists or genres. I can start to scroll songs but the list runs out after a few songs. And yet all the songs are still there if I access them via the album. 

The new app Sonos delivered makes whole system incredibly unusable. Should I sell my Sonos stock now before company collapses? 

Please add visualizer functionality and controller layout customization.As a Port and Connect (S2 compatible) owner who integrates into other amp/passive speaker zones, it would be great if these features were available.For example, I have a Sonos zone in my primary home theater by way of Port, but use my Mac Mini to display the Sonos app on my TV. This works, but it could be a lot more visually appealing if there was a way to customize the layout. For example, larger cover art, bitrate/resolution, etc. This is not an edge case.Take it a step further and add some eye candy with options for visualizers. Heck, open it up to the community and I bet we'd see some awesome content brought forward. VU Meters would be cool for example. Lot of possibilities. People (not all) want the eye candy and your competitors are incorporating it alongside support for lossless high resolution audio. If you're not going to support the latter, you should look to support the former in

Hi last week I updated to the new app and now done the update on the new app. do u have to re tune true play since the new version of the app has been installed. Well if true play isn’t still broken. Which i see people having issues with it. thanks 

How are they allowing this to continue through MDW? What an embarrassment. I’m having 40 people over and instead of jamming out in the backyard yard with my 12.2 outdoor sonos system I’ll be using a $150 Tribit speaker I got from Amazon, because I keep getting systems not found on WiFi, hardwired or Sonosnet configs that I wasted a day resetting up again for the 5th time since May 7th. 

The new SONOS app (and frankly this community site) suck. The app has many problems, the one that most bothers me is that it randomly changes the volume unexpectedly. I have 3 amps , a Move and Roam and the volume suddenly changes (in extreme amounts) while we are listening. I also find it frustrating to search for music I like and the favourites that I saved on my previous apps have mostly disappeared. This was not a good upgrade and I wish I had not done it. Where is my old Gold SONOS app now?an this chat site is brutal to navigate and tey and add a comment! 

I don’t even know where to begin. The new app is so frustrating so clunky so difficult to use. I have to sit down for 15 minutes to play anything and then my groups are all screwed up. Everything is screwed up and now it’s skipping songs like I’m playing by Bluetooth. It’s like I’m not even streaming anymore. 

How do I go back to the old version of the APP?  Alternately, how can I return my Sonos equipment for a full refund? This APP is NOT an upgrade  and renders the system almost unusable. 

I don’t want the new app. I want the old app. Please tell me how I can get that.Otherwise, I will junk the thousands of dollars of equipment. I have purchased from Sonos and find something better.

I’m about over things. I just came here to vent. (All my products say they are up to date)I have a Boost and 3 playbars.  Since the app update Sonos consistently can’t find my system.  Maybe I can get it to work with a reboot my Boost. Sometimes just fiddling within the app reveals the system after a minute plus of hitting buttons….if I’m lucky.Sometimes I can finally get music playing, but then if I reopen the app, it’ll say no system found.  Now I have music playing in all my house, but Sonos can’t find any system!  So now I have to unplug the boost and wait for whatever cache to wear out before things stop.This is just ridiculous.  Never had a single issue with the S2 app.  Open things up, instantly finds the system, and zero lag when switching songs.  Now this thing works maybe 10% of the time. 

Wow - trying to find something positive for a week now with the updated app. It seems like Sonos took away all the features that made it easy to use. The a-z is gone in the artist list - so if I want to listen to my Led Zeppelin album - can’t jump to that - have to scroll and scroll. I load an album in the que- 1- can’t delete a song from que like I was easily able to before 2- can’t go to artists and add another album or song to que- again this was easy on old app. Used to just tap the star at bottom to access my saved playlists like Friday night or Christmas playlist - now it’s buried and have to go through several clicks / screens to find them. I could go on - but it looks like a lot of folks are not happy with the “easier” new updates. Frustrating to say the least. 

Whar is the timetable for fixing all the bugs on the new app?

Before the new Sonos App, I was able to skip around the stations by selecting them in my Favorites with one touch in less than a second. It was quick and convenient for when I was busy with other tasks. Now, I must wait for the station window to appear, press Play and wait again...the process takes up to 15 seconds and breaks my stride. Can this be fixed? Please bring back the classic method!

The new app seems all over the place. Very difficult to navigate. Not user friendly. For example if I want to play the next song on my playlist instead of playing on the existing speaker it starts to play in a different room on a different speaker. Each time I have to manually correct it with 2-3 steps to just get it to play the next song. I end up with 2-3 different speakers playing different songs on the same playlist. When I go into Sonos guide to the new app it’s a blank. Very frustrating. My Sonos is now a source of frustration not pleasure or relaxation with my favourite music. The team that designed the new app should be demoted. Either they do not know what they are doing or have never used the Sonos app before. Holding out to purchase any further Sonos products until they fix this new app. Sonos please fix it. 

Worst performing Sonos update ever. Wtf 

In light of the disaster that is the new app, I opened my desktop app to see if that was still functional. Surprise surprise, there is an update required. Considering what a mess Sonos have made of the app, I don't have the confidence to update my desktop app. The trouble is, important features like library settings, update library etc, are greyed out, I assume, forcing me to update the app.  Sonos also seems to want me to add a password to the app as part of the update, which I don't see any value in doing so I'm stuck with a partially functioning product again unless I chance it, update the app & agree to this password thing.Thoughts Sonos?

How can I change Pandora station modes from Discovery, crowd Favs, etc?

In the US, you can buy extended warranty for your sonos products, but not in GB, maybe even not in EU. Why not? Will this option ever be available in GB or EU or both?

I came to the forums looking for a solution as to why I’ve lost access to my music library to see others are asking the same.  WTF are you thinking or not testing?  What a spectacular own goal.  If this isn’t corrected in the coming days, not weeks, Sonos will be gone from my home; I’m actively seeking an alternative already.

Why is the new app so crap? Just awful!!! . So difficult to change rooms . Going to ditch Sonos 

Come on SONOS, I paid extra for these products because of the sound quality as well as ease of use (my family is not tech friendly at the least). This update has completely ruined this experience. My system turns into a brick when it doesn’t connect and I’m not home to reconnect it.

I went to turn on my system yesterday and noticed that 3 speakers and my Sonos amp were missing from my profile. I have around 10 speakers and one amp.  I tried to add them back but they were not found by the app. So I factory reseat them. The Beam added back but the Ray continued to have issues. Once I had them added back a few minutes past and they disappeared from my app again.   these are all store bought with no previous owners.  anyone see this before.
