I put 3 Sonos beams in a customer’s house connected to 3 Samsung tvs. The tvs are customer supplied but we’re brand new in the box. All 3 tvs are giving an error of something unidentified in the earc port at random times. The beams are the only things connected to the tvs and when this error occurs no audio plays. I have factory reset the beams, replaced the hdmi cables, talked to Sonos tech support and submitted diagnostics, and had the customer’s reach out to Samsung to see if it was a tv issue. I find it really weird that all 3 are doing the same things. Any suggestions before I pull my hair out?
Hi, I have two Move 2s set up as a stereo pair.I have noticed that only one of them has the mic light on and that the other doesn’t. The the one without the mic light also does not have the small dot light on the front illuminated. Is this normal? If the mic is not on will the Trueplay autotune still work for the pair?Thank you. I can’t find the info on the site.
Is it possible to cast/play music to my S1 speakers using my streaming service app? If not, then is my only option using the S1 app? When I use the S1 app and try to access my streaming service (currently Amazon Music), and I use the “search” function, it doesn’t return the same results as in the Amazon Music app (sometimes it misses a few results). Is this maybe a problem with how Sonos S1 and Amazon Music work together or does anyone know a better way of using the S1 app? Thanks!
3 x issues with my 2 month old Era 300 all was working fine for a week or 2 then lost Alexa tried the fixes on the community chat to no avail, 2nd issue is when the speaker is unused ie over night you can’t use the app to start any music at all you have to talk to sonos “hey Sonos play music” and then it works, but still take ages to show something is playing in the app. Yesterday nothing at all couldn’t use app to do anything. Today it let me start from the app and this brings me on to the 3rd issue, I have 4 other speakers all work fine but today when I started playing the Era 300 it stopped all the other speakers. I can start playing music on all of my other speakers but as soon as you start playing on the 300 they all stop playing one by one weird 😩 anyone had or have the same problems? Was on phone to technical for 1 ½ hours on Monday still couldn’t sort so now waiting for someone else from technical to contact me.
I wanted to expand my system, but not spend too much money…I got two old (series1) Play:1 speakers from EBay - about £60-70 each.I was dreading adding them to my system, as I’ve has issues in the past, and with all the recent (and ongoing) app debacle I feared that installing ‘legacy’ hardware might be a nightmare…Amazingly it was the easiest install ever! I had to factory reset one (easy job) - but both of them were added to my system so easily, registered, and joined as a stereo pair. I’m amazed how straight forwards it was 👍Honestly, given how rubbish everything has been with Sonos recently this was a breath of fresh air for me.If you want to expand your system, and do it on the cheap I can surely recommend this route.(a new Era100 is £200, and who wants all that ‘Smart’ stuff anyhow eh?)just wanted to share a positive story! 😍
Sonos beam gen 3 constantly gets disconnected from the app. Have tried everything many times and still can’t get it to work properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have an ARC, Sub (gen2) , and 2 Ones for rear surrounds. I have an option to make another purchase. this can either be: Option1: Era 300Option 2: second Sub (gen3) Reading some comments here, the Era300, whilst good, may not be that HUGE an upgrade vs the Ones as rear surrounds? I am also starting to hear some distortion, rattling on my old Sub (gen2). this could be placed in the rear, and I get another Sub (gen3) for the front. which would you think is the best bang for buck , best performance upgrade?
Before, when I was on my WiFi at work, the app would automatically select the Sonos system I have connected to it and I could go straight to playing music. When I was at home it would do the same. NOW, the app makes you select the Sonos system from the “System settings” before you can start playing music. When multiple rooms are grouped together, the only way to change the volume of the rooms individually is to open the group volume and use the sliders. Before, I seem to remember that a long hold on the main volume button would pull up all devices in that group and allow you to change them individually without navigating away from the “Now playing” screen. I'm sure there’s others, but this is it for now. Thank you for all you efforts to continue to make improvements.
Sonos,Geographical restrictions of Sonos Radio HD are nowhere to be found but still exist.Someone from Israel pointed out before, and I want to reiterate this. Sonos Radio HD is also not available in Romania.Aren’t we all paying the same price for our products? We have no special discounts for not having full access to Sonos services.Could you please stop this Apple-like discriminating policy and offer similar services to all countries where you officially sell your products?I am tired of using VPNs, GPS mocking, gift cards just to buy some services.

So - I held off posting about the new app. I don’t tend to be the kind of person to post on such things anyway, and I wanted to see if time would make things better. I’m here to say, after several months, I really can’t stand the new app. It’s terrible in so many ways. My music stops playing sometimes for reasons I can’t even determine, and I’ve increasingly resorted to just using airplay to my Sonos speakers, even though the sound is worse (which of course defeats a major reason to using Sonos products in the first place.) But also, it’s just stop wonky and hard to use. The new search bar location was the wackiest design decision, and the search results are consistently frustrating - not taking you where you want to go quickly or reliably. It’s just an awful user experience. In short… what gives?! Why hasn’t Sonos just resorted to the old app given all these complaints? I usually can’t resist looking at their emails about news speakers and products, and thinking about adding them yet a
Anyone ever have every music service stop working and figure out a fix? Like I know the new app is a dumpster fire but this seems extreme. It wouldn’t even load for 6 days and now this WTF? Local music library = Something went wrong. Sonos favourites don’t load. Recently played don’t work (something went wrong error). play.Sonos.com = internal server error. Also can’t delete to re add services. But everything works in SonoPhone and Desktop controller which indicates not a network issue
Will the Bluetooth connection allow me to play podcasts, music and calls directly thru the Move?
Hello,I'm wondering if the Era 100/300 will be capable of connecting to Wi-Fi 6E in the future. According to Sonos documentation, right now they are only capable of connecting to 802.11ac (WiFi 5), 802.11ax (WiFi 6), 802.11n, and 802.11aOn the other hand, @Corry P mentioned in an older “ era future proof “ article that the chipsets in the Era 100 and Era 300 also support WiFi 6E, and as these technologies mature and become mainstream, Sonos can provide software updates for the Era 100 and Era 300 to add new features. Does that mean Era speakers will be able to support 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E ( 802.11axe ) in a future update?
Hi,I’ve not really formulated this thought fully but I would love the ability to have a device, located prominently in the house showing what is playing currently. It happens so many times that we have some background music on - and a visitor to the house will ask what is playing. It’s easy for me, becasue I whip out the phone - with the Sonos App - but I think it would be awesome if ‘everyone’ had a view. Ideally, this would be an external screen / monitor with the current Album/Song displayed. I dont know if this could be a Sonos App thing - i.e. I get myself a cheap tablet and in-wall mount - which permanently runs the Sonos App or should it be a totally external device that essentially runs Shazam (or equivalent), constantly sending soundbytes to Shazam for it to recognise the music playing - i suspect the latter is full of issues - not least what Shazam displays - but this is the rough concept.I dont even think this is necessarily linked to Sonos - its application could be for
Today I have encountered yet another issue with the new Sonos App. Choosing a Spotify playlist, album or song from within the Sonos app no longer creates a queue. It simply displays the relevant artwork and only plays the first track, regardless of which track in a playlist or album is selected. The queue incorrectly indicates that the session was started from Spotify. I have never encountered this problem before. I have a very solid WiFi network and have been using SONOS extensively for many years. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to rectify things?
Hi, I'm really struggling to add my music library. Has anyone been able to do it on the new android app? Many thanksGreg
I have had my personal music collection on NAS drive since buying my Sonos system. now the second NAS has broken and I need a new one. I don’t plan to keep anything private on the NAS and need the cheapest 1gig NAS around that’s simple to operate as I’m not technically. what do people recommend please?my music collection is in iTunes but you can’t play it directly from there!
Hello, I would like to improve audio in my 20 m2 room. Now I´ve got two sonos era 100 set up as stereo speakers. I just listen background music troght sonos radio. I´m satisfied with bass performance, but most time I sit in the middle of the room and i would like to listen more surround music, not just from one wall. My question is if it is better to buy beam gen 2 or 2 more era 100 speakers and place them to the opposite wall. Beam gen 2 has google asistant which I use with plenty of my smart home devices. Era 100 have in line connector and bluetooth so I can play videos from PC, but if I pair them with beam it is not functional. Now I dont have tidal or any other service to listen dolby atmos music. For the future when it will be dolby atmos more common it is porobably better to buy beam 2? Will i get better sound from 2 era 100s with beam 2 or 4 era 100s What is your opinion, experience ? Thank you.
Hii have the Arc and a Sub gen3would like to add surrounds to my setupmy living room is not the biggest 4x7 meterstv slightly to the one side so the right surround would be placed aprox 30cm from the side wall and the left will be 3m from the side wall. is this a no go and go with the era100 instead of the 300’s?or will it work with the big difference between the left and right side wallthanks
Whats the best way to connect a computer with wi-fi card, analog stereo equipment and smart tv. I’m considering Sonos amp or port but not sure what kind of speakers would work for all the various sources.
The latest Sonos App update resets all sound eq settings to 0 and turns off trueplay tuning.
helloI have a question, I have two Sonos one gen 2 speakers, a TV with 3 HDMI inputs and an Xbox Series S, Apple TV and a TV decoder.I would like to connect them together and my question is if I buy a Beam gen 1 or gen 2 soundbar and an HDMI extender for the TV, will it be ok, or are there any dedicated amplifiers that connect to my Sonos one speakers wirelessly and also have 4-5 HDMI inputs on the back to connect preferred devices (Xbox, Apple TV, etc.)thanks
I am told that Sonos have outdoor Google Assistant wall mounted speakers. I have power and even Cat6 data cables installed. Speakers are to be mounted on verandah under cover with some weather exposureCan smart speakers be operated in a stereo configuration? What can anyone recommend ?
Hi - Long time owner of Sonos systems (I have two houses) but so frustrated with neither system working any longer I’m looking for any alternatives that work. Any suggestions / recommendations? Cost isn’t much of an issue as long as it’s similar or less to Sonos. I don’t like just taking all this equipment to the dump but that’s what I’ll do (versus trying to sell bad systems to others or even giving them away) once I source and install new systems. Thanks for the help!
