The whole ecosystem remains broken. When things come back online it may work briefly, then the app fails. RInse, repeat. I’ll try to salvage what I can from the multiple components and use the rest for “boat anchors”. What a waste from being a good product to next to worthless.
Just commenting here. I suppose I’m yet another frustrated user approaching the end of my Sonos relationship. I have mostly wired Sonos amps with a few scattered wireless devices (soundbars and freestanding Sonos speakers. I’ve had constant issues for years. sporadic functionality. Everyone’s answer always seems to be unstable network. But I’m pretty confident that’s not the problem. If so it is the only set of devices that ever has an issue. today I deleted and reloaded the Sonos app rebooted my wireless rebooted all my Sonos devices trying to fix a problem. . Sonos sees titles online just fine, it can see the Devices on my network , but when you go to play a title it stalls and comes back with an error message that says something went wrong. Do t know what that would be because their error messages give you no clue. Nothing seems to work to fix it. I am beyond tired of this s***. Last Christmas before A 200 person party at the house Sonos has been working for days nonstop perfectly fine then 30 minutes before people arrive. It shut down and quit working. Lost all device connections. Panic mode! Also, every time you turn on the app, it defaults back to one single speaker in my den that we only use for the tv. It never remembers the last set up of multiple speakers absolutely ridiculous how bad this product is. Thanks for letting me vent.

If you can indulge me for a few, I would like to ask a few questions. If you do not object to answering them, we may be able to get you a working system.
- What type of router, major network do you have?
- How many devices do you have in total? How many are wired?
- Describe your system. Is it a mix of old and new?
- Are you using iOS or Android?
UNIFI mesh network, with AP close to each SONOS device location. 10 GB wired backbone.
All SONOS ONE gear: S3 x 2, S5 x 2, S1 x 2, BRIDGE, Connect; AMP, ZP100.
iOS app
If you have defined the WiFi for your SONOS system, power down BRIDGE. BRIDGE is obsolete and now prone to causing issues. If your topology absolutely requires BRIDGE, I suggest replacing it with BOOST. At the very least make sure that the BRIDGE power supply is delivering slightly over 5V. Below 5V hard to describe, intermittent network issues will develop.
I tried the BOOST before with the same result.
Ubiquiti must be set for STP.
Ubiquiti must be set for STP.
If the STP settings were not enabled OPs network would have crashed already. Could be mDNS or Multicast settings that are not set.
I did have a moment of success with the BOOST, where the iOS app worked briefly before it started to flash a ghost background, music still playing with no control. Next, I tried the S1 Windows desktop application, with the same ghost flash then a blank background. Music playing, application lost in the ozone. Tried upgrading to the S2 app, which was a total failure and both the S 1 and S 2 Windows app said to change to the other product version...Back to boat anchor status and cussing under my breath.
Last update - I removed the BOOST out of the mix and downgraded everything back to the S 1 app and functionality using just the Wi-Fi capability of my network. It works. I just have to have to be patient with the application (iOS or Windows) flickering on and off or becoming a ghost application. It’s annoying, but it works. Thanks for the assistance. It’s now better than a boat anchor.
