Hi all,Is there any news about this limitation removed ? After all, it's 2025 and having a playlist of over 100 songs shouldn't be a problem…(No matter whether some people think it's a good idea or not to have very large playlists)Can we expect this limit to be lifted?I bought my SONOS equipment without knowing about this. And if I had known about it, I think I would have turned to another brand. Thanks
Hey all,I just upgraded my Sonos Arc to the Arc Ultra. While I was hoping it would be a simple swap out using the cables I had hooked up to the Arc, something has gone haywire with the HDMI cable I was using (Monoprice 8k Certified HDMI) and the eARC handshake between my devices, tv, and soundbar are causing issues that cause the sound to be downgraded to non-Atmos or 5.1 tracks. I’ve troubleshot this all week and finally just decided to try the Sonos provided HDMI cable that came in the Ultra box, and used that from the eARC port of my LG C1 TV to the Arc Ultra, and that seems to have fixed the issues (at least so far). This makes me think that I need to replace the previously used HDMI cord and am wondering if anybody has suggestions for what they use. I need at least 10’ to be able to route it through my wall, and again, it needs to be in-wall rated.Appreciate your help in advance.
Hi, The new Sonos app (for Mac and iPhone, with Sonos One speakers, as of 1/22/2025) is an improvement from last summer, but… We frequently can not get any music to play out of our 3 speaker pairs without unplugging and plugging in the speakers. With 6 speakers and several outlets behind furniture, this is HORRIBLE! When we do get music playing from a pair of speakers, we can’t add other speaker pairs… unless we start the music from the correct pair (living room or family room). If we start the music on the dining room pair, we can never connect to the other speakers. We had a single speaker upstairs, but occasionally the music would shift to that speaker and then we could not pause/stop the music. We finally powered off this speaker and this system works better. We have many friends with Sonos in their home and all have had rough experiences. I used to recommend Sonos, but no longer do. I’d like to add a couple more pairs of speakers but don’t dare given all the issues. #sadsonosu
I have an old player that I used to connect to my router via a Sonos bridge. This now does not work as it causes my internet to drop really low with the new bt router I have. What is the cheapest way to connect the playbar so I can play music on it. It is connected to my Sony Bravia TV.
Hi all,Wondering if someone can help with this. I’ve a Sonos Arc Ultra connected to LG G4 OLED TV via HDMI ARC. The sound takes (consistently) 2 minutes to output from the Ultra after turning on the TV.Both the Arc Ultra and LG G4 are running the latest software. Sound > Advanced > Digital Sound Out HDMI Audio set to “Passthrough” Sound > Advanced > “ERC support” set to “enabled” Sound > Advanced > HDMI ARC device Delay set to 0 (though setting to “bypass” does not have an effect). SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) is enabled (required for volume control through TV remove) Behaviour is occurring irrespective of the content e.g. Streaming Apps vs. analogue TV vs. from other HDMI sources (PS5 and Sky). After x2 minutes everything is fine, Sonos App shows the connection at this point.I’ve tried A/B testing with most of the above settings, and even deleted the HDMI profile on the TV and restarted with no luck.Appreciate this maybe an LG issue (“HDMI handshake or similar”), however I’
I have purchased a Sonos Arc, I already have a good pair of in-ceiling hard wired speakers, a set of front Left/Right hard wired speakers and a powered sub.Can I use the Arc for just the Center, add two more Sonos Amps, one for the fronts and one for the rears along with running the powered sub?Or should I return the Sonos Arc and just use two new Sonos Amps with my current hard wired speakers along with the powered sub off one of the amps?
Just downgraded my Play 1s and Sonos One to S1 from S2. Now I can use the S1 app - sooooo much better. Direct and responsive control and frankly it’s simpler to use than the new app. Not sure if the new app controls kit via the cloud but it is still slow and unresponsive and a little glitchy when it comes to turning speakers on and off. I’ve seen beta testing extends to users further away from AWS DCs - why is it so important to go via the cloud? I don’t like the online dependency this brings to use the kit….ive left my Arc and Beam on S2. This is fine because they are controlled by the to remote. I’d thoroughly recommend the downgrade if you can. Sonos have made the process pretty easy - thank you.
I often use night mode with my Sonos Amp. I never remember to switch night mode off and often find myself discovering it is still active days later. Please could the app developers add an option to automatically disable night mode at, say, 06:00 the next morning? That way your normal hours listening won't be accidentally affected. Thanks
My wife and friends ask me if I am crazy. I just bought additional Sonos speakers. Guys let us face reality. You had over seven months to improve the apps and the S2 system. It is still very slow, unstable and unreliable. examples. volume controls not respondingcannot select all speakerstime to access the app and the music is unacceptablepossible solutions assuming a roll back is totally out of the question please redesign the backend and app from scratch separately (there are also major UX flaws that are so painful I did not mention) hope for the best and you do not go bust in the coming year or two cheers .
Hey everyone!I just got my first Sonos speaker and I'm super excited to dive in. For those who've been using Sonos for a while, do you have any tips for getting the best sound setup? Any favorite features or playlists you recommend? Thanks a bunch!

HelloI received an e-mail from Sonos today about Apple Music lossless support. It says:“Simply stream from Apple Music to a supported Sonos product. Over 100 million songs are available in lossless audio, with resolutions ranging from 16-bit/44.1 kHz (CD quality) up to 24-bit/192 kHz (hi-res)”Does this mean that Sonos has increased its support to 24/192, with Apple Music?Previously, it was limited to 24/48…Thank you
I have the Sonos app on Windows 10 and 11 systems, and also on an iPad mini. I have added items to the queue via my Windows system, and the first one is playing now. So it works. But when I try to display the queue on the iPad, the window shows “Queue is empty.” Even though it isn’t. This does not change over time; well, several minutes anyway. Is there a way to make the queue appear on the iPad? All apps are S2; and the latest version, as far as I know.
Hi, I have a 4 pieces play 5 gen 1 ( with 2 in stereo, line in on left play 5) livingroom, kitchen 1x play 5, garden 1x play 5.1 x play 3 bathroom, 1x play 3 workingroom. The sound from Turntable on the stereo 5’s in livingroom is ok , but I on All the other devices sound is poor, no sounddepth . would a Sonos Connect( or AMP even with no external speakers attached) as line in for Turntable be a improvement on sound quality on my devices in the other rooms?
Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Hello,For a week now I have been unable to connect from Spotify and Sonos to my speaker group.Restarted Sonos, restarted the router, reinstalled both apps on all my Android devices, cleared the cache. I see huge amount of posts about Sonos 2 Gen 2 wifi breaking irrecoverably. Support looked at diagnostics and verified just wifi is broken on mine (for no reason). Is anybody considering legal action against Sonos for this as it is so widespread?
Please reply with answers to the questions below about your internet situation and how it works with your wireless Sonos set-up.Feel free to skip the next few paragraphs. Its just me explaining why I need the info, and complaining a bit.I am based in the UK but feel free to reply with your answers even if you are not. Lets save as many people as much heartache as possible.I am going to change internet providers, without going into why, I got a month to month contract and my Roam & Roam 2 promptly started disconnecting from my brand new wifi every 20ish minutes. This is a new problem, they worked fine before I moved.I’m also looking into setting up a NAS - so adding that into the questions. So now I have the opportunity to be picky with my internet provider, I want to be able to lay the blame of whatever speaker issues I have squarely at Sonos’s feet.Ok here are the questions. So please let me know:Where you are (so that people know what providers are available to them) Who your inter
Trying to set up my play one, but it won’t recognize it. I have done everything. When I click on the reboot, it doesn’t provide a link. Any answers?
