I am curious if ANYONE has ever had Sonos Radio play properly? After 7 years and many, many hours of research and talking with customer support, I have not had luck. Highly disappointed in this system - who cares how it sounds when the content is all chopped up

We have a Sonos One & Sonos SL paired as stereo controlled by a Amazon Echo Dot, this is used with Amazon Music Unlimited. I am considering cancelling my subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited and switching to Spotify. Do commands work the same on Amazon Music for instance all we had to say was Alexa Play Radio 2 and Radio 2 started, or Alexa play Fleetwood mac and on came Fleetwood Mac. Ive been told its not as easy with Spotify, and different commands are used. This would be ok with me, but not with my Mrs, its taken absolutely ages to get her to use Alexa, and almost as long to get Sonos Speakers. main reason for change is the Spotify app is much better than Amazon for me. So if Spotify isn’t as easy with commands i will leave it alone, rather than cause issues with the other half

Has Sonos ever provided an explanation for remaining stubbornly opposed to providing at least a 5- or 7-band user controlled EQ in the app? Online searches reveal a fair amount of discussion of this topic over the years, but I can’t seem to find any definitive explanation from Sonos - just a lot of talk about Trueplay, which really doesn’t do it for me.

I have a Sonos arc hooked up to my Sony tv (900h) in my bedroom. It has an Apple TV 4K hooked up also. I work graveyard and sleep during day. Someone using the living room tv (has apple 4K as well) hooks up to my arc and the sound almost gives you a heart attack. Is there away to shut off the sound that way no one hijacks my sound bar. It’s annoying. Never thought I’d die from a sound bar. Anyone else experiencing this?

Does the Beam make a big difference to dialogue on the T.V.?

Hi I know there was a Sonos update pushed around 11-11-20.  Also upgraded to iOS14.  Now I don’t see my Sonos speakers at all when using Apple Music app and trying to Airplay2 to the various speaker sets.  The Apple TV’s I have do show up in the Airplay 2 list.  Just my 4 different Sonos rooms don’t show.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.  

Since upgrading to S1 11.2.4 the internet radio station Phsychedelik Ambient will not play.  I have tried TuneIn, myTuner Radio and Sonos radio all with the same result.  Station plays fine using TuneIn web app.  Appears to be a Sonos issue.  Occasionally when I attempt to start it the TuneIn lead in plays over and over, station never starts.My system is PC S1 control app, bridge and 2 Play3s.How can I get this fixed?

Hi, I want to combine my Sonos system with my Devialet Expert Pro Amp for the following use cases; #1 I would want to establish a Surround set-up for my TV, where;I can use my 2 Sonos Ones as rear surround speakers My Sonos Sub as a sub And my Devialet Expert Pro driven non-active speakers as the front-stereo speakersI am also consider having a Sonos Arc in the front (but would still want to have the ability to top it up with the Devialet Expert Pro driven non-active speakers. Please note that this setup ONLY has to work for TV. I do not intend to use the sub nor the rear surroun speakers for music listening.#2 I would want to plugin my Devialet Expert Pro driven non-active speakers as a “speaker” into my Sonos System for multi-room control, and control via AlexaThis one I think should be pretty straightforward; I plug in a Sonos Port, and use either a grouped and muted Sonos One or an Amazon Echo for voice control?

I was able to connect my Denon turntable to my Sonos system using the Sonos Connect when I bought them back in 2015. I had an issue with the wi-fi that would interfere with the Connect. I have since moved and have tried to reconnect the same turntable to the same Sonos Connect without success. The turntable does show as being connected on Line-in but when I play it there is no sound. Have tried turning the TV on, tried turning the streaming service on, tried plugging into other ports but get nothing. Denon turntable has white and red audio cable that I have plugged into in-jack on Connect.any ideas?

Does anyone know if I can connect six (6) Sonance in-ceiling architectural speakers to one Amp? They are 8 ohms and 125 watts for the pair. These are the Best Buy Sonance 6 1/2” round in-ceiling speakers.  Thanks!

This is a post to help others with Google Search. The problems I had, and the fix.On my Samsung Galaxy S9+, never had a problem, when I changed the router and reset the two ARCs to use it. Wifi & wireless, flawless.The older Note 8 device? When it was the S1, it worked, then the upgrade to S2, worked for a while, then stopped completely. I never got it up and running again.As I work as an IT professional, this was a challenge. I figured it was a combination of older Android on the Note 8, security, the Wifi type 2.4ghz vs 5ghz, some weird configuration.Finally I had wired with RJ45 ethernet cables between the router and the Den TV for “wired” Netflix, Chromecast & Amazon Prime, with a cheap 5-port hub behind the TV.I plugged one of the ARCs wired into the hub, and when it powered up, Lo & Behold, the Note 8 now sees ALL the ARCs in the network!!!So if at least ONE Sonos speaker is wired network to the router, it acts as a “gateway” to the other speakers on the Wifi through

Currently have an internal Mesh Network with over 13 Amazon Echos or various models connected.  I have found it frustrating to keep them going as a group Often stopping mid song or after a song, and I have to repeat the request to keep playing. I currently own Sonos ARC, Sub, and two Play one rear channel speakers.    So I was thinking of expanding this solution for the rest of the house.   Two questionsIf I extend this to include another 4 more Sonos one’s, do folks have any experience of a larger group like this doing well on a Mesh network (Not stopping constantly)?  Trying to see if I should invest and dump the Amazon speaker solution How Many Outdoor Sonos speakers can one connect to the Sonos Amp?   I am consider connecting four of them.  Can they all be connected to the same wire in series from one Sonos 250watt amp or do I need to limit it to one pair of leads per speaker and I need two Sonos amps (4 leads) to drive four Sonos speakers?

I have added two Move speakers to my Sonos setup. Unfortunately, they keep disappearing from the System list. For instance, right now, my "Office" Move speaker is missing from my iPad app, iPhone app, and pc (although it is available on my Android app). My "Kitchen" Move speaker is missing from all four. When I check again later, I expect both speakers to be on the list, without me having done anything. They keep popping in and out of existence. (Also, sometimes, the devices will show up on the list, but I won't be able to control them: Starting playback fails with an error message stating that, well, playback failed.)I've read the Standby thread (https://en.community.sonos.com/wireless-speakers-228992/move-standby-question-6830346) with interest, but I don't think that's the issue here. The speakers are not on standby. For instance, right now, the "Kitchen" speaker reacts when I press, say, the Microphone on/off button, and the "Office" speaker will even resume playback of the podcast

I have an Optoma UHD30 with a Chromecast for streaming video. On the Optoma optical out I’ve connected an HDMI cable through the Sonos Optical to HDMI adapter. The HDMI cable goes to the Sonos Beam. No sound is coming through Sonos Beam.What’s the best way of troubleshooting this? I can see red light coming out the Optoma optical out and I’ve already tried two brand new hdmi cables. Thanks.

Hi,I’m currently on Sonos version 7.1. Haven’t used my system for a while and am now wondering whether to upgrade to S1 11.2.4?System Info:Sonos Connect ZP90, digital out to HiFi system music files in iTunes library macOS El Capitan planning to upgrade to Mojave, possibly Catalina shortly. mainly using desktop controller version 7.1 as interface, iPhone (iOS 13) as remote onlyDoes anyone here think there are advantages staying at 7.1? Or is there a unanimous consensus that 11.2.4 is the better option? Many thanks for your thoughts on this... 

Hi All Recently upgraded from Sonos Beam to Arc and have noticed when using Arc for TV (particularly SKY Q) that I am having to turn my volume slider up significantly more than I did with the Beam to achieve similar sound levels.  Having to go north of 50% on the volume control to achieve satisfactory volume levels.Overall I'm delighted with the Arc but wondering if this is normal for the Arc ?Thanks   

Hi,I have Sonos Amp controlled via Sonos S2 on macOS BigSur.I can use funtion keys for Pause/Play; Previous and Following, but I cannot use Mute; Volume + and Volume -, with this keys I can controll Mac only, not Sonos Amp.Please, have anyone some solution? Thank you

I have set a Sonos one in my house, but the phone will still connect to Sonos when i use wireless earphone sometimes even the phone doesn't connect to wifi. very weird…. :( 

Hello,I am setting up a new system and would like some advice. I will be getting a sound bar and sub and would like to add two ceiling speakers to create a 5.1 sound system. Is that possible? As the sound bar does not have speaker wire input, how do I achieve this?Regards

I have a Smart TV that I added a Playbar to,connected via optical, and later added a sonos Sub.  I now purchased and added a sonos Amp and added my wired rear speakers as surrounds.  I feel like my rear speakers are not working as solely rears.  Am I not connecting or setting up something properly?

I have (2) 130 RMS Speakers & 2 150RMS Speakers both 8 ohm. I want to connect these to the Sonos Amp in parallel. Is the Amp powerful enough to handle this load? 

All, New to Sonos... We bought two IKEA Symfonisk speaker and got the Arc for X-mas. Have them all connected and love them. I have a vast record collection and want to be able to connect my turntable to the Sonos network. I’ve read online and it seems nearly impossible save RasberryPi and I’m not tech savvy to even attempt. I’m willing to update my turntable or try bridging (RCA to HMI) or whatever. I’m looking for suggestions, ideas, some way for me to not have to add another set of speakers. Would buying a used Connect be an option with the newer speakers-is it even compatible? I’ve read the other posts but was hoping there is something else outside dropping another $500+ on another Sonos speaker. 

I read through most of the posts on this topic trying to find an answer and tried a lot of the steps suggested to others and finally got my surround speakers working again. Yay! The next day, my husband upgraded to an iPhone 11 Pro and when he logged into the Sonos 2 app, the surround stopped working again.I suspect the original problem started shortly after I got my iPhone 11 earlier this year (or maybe it was when we were forced to switch to the S2 app). After 4 years using my soundbar on my tv, today my tv remote wouldn't work to control volume. I can alter it using the Sonos app. Eventually I discovered that if I held the tv remote between 1 and 15 inches from the right lower side of the Soundbar, as you face it, the volume could be adjusted. I have tried changing the remote batteries and used another remote. Any help greatly appreciated - thx
