I've just bought a Beam v and my TV has the choice of sending out Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus (I know the beam won't do plus) On either setting the Sonos app is reporting Dolby DigItal 5:1 from the TV. My question is should I choose to output Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus on the TV? Or will it make no difference? Thanks

You should set your TV (which may be being told via ARC anyway) that the Beam can only deal with Dolby Digital. While the extended signals in Plus may or may not be used in some shows, the Beam should normally just not work at all when receiving a Dolby Digital Plus signal.

Ok thanks. Well I presume my TV is changing Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital. I just wondered if it might be better getting the original Digital Plus signal from say Netflix or not. But I suspect there's no difference.
