Hi,This type of question has been asked a few times over the years but not since the newer gen speakers have come out (I couldn’t find anyway). I have a set up in my ‘Hut’ (aka…party shed) where I have a Arc sounder, 2 Sonos 1’s (Gen 2) and a Sub (Gen 3). I keep my XDJ-RX in side the house but would love to bring it out sometimes, is there a way I can link it in to the Sonos setup, I have read elsewhere about the delay, but if I had a hard wired connection in to the Arc would the delay still be there?
Hi Sonos Team,hi Community,as I’m using the Calm streaming service a lot for meditation I would really like to see 7Mind (https://www.7mind.de) in the future on my sonos app as another streaming service for mental wellbeing…. It is similar to Calm but with much more content...
Surround sound used to work fine with a beam and 2 play 1’s but then light on play 1’s started flashing. Have tried hard reboot of the speakers but system keeps coming up as beam (L? + R ?). Any ideas welcomed?
I used to be able to use a Folder in my music library as a source for my Alarm music, but that is no longer an option. I am using Sonos Generation 1. Any insights are appreciated.
My poor dog is freaked out every 4th of July by fireworks going boom around us. I understand that it is just not just my dog. I would like to come up with a program that Sonos could play that every once in while it would randomly go BANG! That way our animals will get used to the fireworks and not be bothered. Does anyone know how we can make this happen? Thanks.
Hi there,We are currently renovating our small family room. We are also new to Sonos products. With 2 small kids and a dog, we use our family room as a multi purpose / music / home theater space. We are trying to achieve 5.1.2 by using the Sonos Amp to connect to in-ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds to save space. The entire home theater package consist of Arc, Sub and 2 in-ceiling rear speakers. However, I recently learned the Amp can power up to 4 in-ceiling speakers. So my question is if I install 4 in-ceiling speakers, is there an option to select only 2 speakers as rear surround when watching movies vs select all 4 in-ceiling speakers when we play music? It seems wasteful not to install the maximum number of speakers the $649 amp can handle.Appreciate your feedback.
I have a tape recorder on the way as I want to make mix tapes again from my vinyl collection. Currently my Yamaha wireless turntable is connected with the red and white cable to my Sonos amp. I don’t think it’s possible to connect both the turntable and the Tapedeck at the same time as there’s only one “red and white -in” and also no switch to choose between tape deck and vinyl player. So do I need another “regular” amp that connects into the Sonos amp and I connect both the turntable and the tape deck into the “regular amp” or can I connect t to be turntable wirelessly to the Sonos Amp and the tape deck with the red and white cable and then record straight away ? I am completely out of my depth here and not sure if I am even asking the question right :-) would appreciate any feedback , thanks already for your time to read this
I’ve searched and found mixed advice on this. can I connect 2 sets of Bose 51 environmental speakers to the new sonos amp? Also should they be wired in series or parallel? thank you in advance
I’ve read it that many people had problems with the Samsung 2020 TVs and Sonos Arc. Is this still a problem, or has it been solved with updates? Is it safe to buy this combination of products, or are there still problems?
I’ve connected to sonos soundbars at friends lots of times and played musicat a vacation house for the next two weeks - yaySonos killing my joy b/c forcing a software upgrade on the soundbarasks me to log in - I can log in online no problem. but says “the email and password you entered do not match our records. I have a small Sonos system, consisting of two Play5's (Gen 1), configured as a stereo pair and installed in a large living space, and a recently acquired One SL, installed in an attic. The Play5 installation has performed flawlessly for several years. Its Music Library resides in two shared music folders on my wifi network: a NAS drive and a MacBook Air.When I acquired the One SL, I followed the procedure for setting up a split S1/S2 system. First I reverted the Play5's to their original status. Then I set up the One SL, using the S2 controller app running on my iPhone. As part of that setup, I pointed the Music Library to the two network shares, and that setup recognized both shares and allowed me to successfully index the library. The S2-based One SL system is currently running perfectly and can access all music on both shares.I then successfully reinstalled the two Play5's, using the S1 controller app, also running on my iPhone. I linked them as a stereo pair, also successfully. But I
I have a pair of roams that I use as a stereo pair. I also have a move. I was just thinking it could be pretty cool to as a high pass to the roams and a low pass to the move to be able to use these three as a 2.1 system. I get that the move isn’t a dedicated sub, and I get that it won’t go as low as a dedicated sub, but it’s got much better bass response than the roams and I imagine one could get much better response at higher volumes from this system than running all of them full freq.
hiwhat is the limit of tumes can be imported in Sonos ?My library is > 100 000thanks
I'm not trying to be argumentative or inflammatory, I keep hearing great things about Sonos but I don't get the appeal. I know they basically pioneered wireless whole home audio but with Amazon and Google getting into the space it seems like they are getting priced out of their own market. Are the few extra features worth the premium price and is the quality that much better when you can do audio out with Echo Dots and Chromecast Audios? Thanks in advance!
Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this… If I have night mode and speech mode turned on when using the TV input, and then I switch to playing music (say from Apple Music), do those two settings stay on or do they auto switch off because I am no longer using the TV input?
I currently have a Sonos 5.1 setup and love it...but I’m running into Lip Sync Issues with a few connections. I also have a PlayBar as the main unit feeding everything else, so there’s no AirPlay 2 compatibility. Are there any good Sonos competitors from a “wireless setup” perspective that rivals the Sonos? Sonos obviously fails with the top output being Dolby Digital 5.1, so I’m looking to see what else may be available for Atmos and DTS:X.Is there a way to achieve this without a receiver? Or is it best to use a receiver? And input or feedback would be appreciated as I’m seriously considering upgrading my Sonos system.
Please can someone help me 😔 Bought sonas move and paired it with my devise. Have taken out to my garden, bluetooth is on but cannot get it to play?? Please can someone advise Many thanks in advance to anyone wjo takes the time.
Hi Team, When I wanted to add service, I cannot find qq music in the option while I found on your website that QQ music should be supported by Sonos device. Could you pleaes advise how I can add it? Regards, Scott
A good number of Sonos folks have their music libraries on WD NAS drives so I’m sharing this tip here.https://community.wd.com/t/action-required-on-my-book-live-and-my-book-live-duo/268147 WDC Tracking Number: WDC-21008Product Line: WD My Book Live and WD My Book Live DuoPublished: June 24, 2021 PRODUCT SECURITY BULLETIN UPDATEWestern Digital has determined that some My Book Live devices are being compromised by malicious software. Prior to submission I had been watching TV all evening with perfect sound via Sonos. Please don't route me back to the tele call center as I already had troubleshootEd 10+ times and Spent 15+ hors including both Sonos and Samsung call centers, yet Not resolved and Sonos wouldn't take Responsibility to fix the Persistent issue which has been open since n year.I then turned ONLY the TV off, after an idle time of about 2 hours, turned ON the TV to watch, Upon turning It, the ARC had lost its HDMI connection with the TV, no audio signal detected (even though nothing had changed in my system since a perfect connection, other than toggling the TV power off/on) . This is the persistent behaviour I am experiencing. Working Diagnostic 1618812137 - Not working Diagnostic 121305903My system status at point of submission was: Samsung TV: ON, with volume unmuted at medium level Samsung model number: UN50JS7000 Sonos connection used: HDMI ARC HDMI connections: Chromecast, FireTV stick, Laptop,
I see the One referred to as Gen 2 but don’t see that designation for the One SL. Does the One SL also have the additional memory and the Bluetooth LE?
Hi recently bought a Sonos Roam, ideally to utilise in the garden. My wi fi doesn’t stretch that far (I’d only need it around 20 feet from the back door max) so was considering a wi fi extender but I don’t think Sonos will be compatible, is that correct?so was then looking at the Sonos Boost but then still have my wi fi garden issue. not really sure what to buy, don’t mind spending the cash as long as it does the job. Also been reading about Wiring one Sonos product to the router which is doable but not ideal, currently all wireless any help appreciated! matt
Hi there, I just bought the Sonos Amp to connect it to my speakers (which are from a different company). My speakers are quite big, but for the sake of my neighbors I do not use them at full volume. However, when I try to use the touch bar on the Sonos Amp, the sound effects are incredibly loud! It is like the sound effects are blasted at a significantly higher volume than the actual music and this makes the touch bar unusable for me. Actually I do not care for the sound effects in general, but there seem to be no option to disable only the sound effects, but only the buttons in total. I disabled the buttons now, because I simply cannot use them this way, but this solution is not really satisfying. I found some topics on this questions and it seems like there used to be no option, but these threads were rather old and the topics are closed. Thus, I’d like to know if there is any update and maybe now there is an option to do this? Or is Sonos at least planning this feature? I am
I have a sub, arc, and two one sl's.When im playing music or watching a movie with 5.1.2 its immersive. How do i get any use out of the one sl's for content that doesnt come in 5.1.2 sound? Is there a setting to make it all just mirror what is coming out the arc?
Hi All,This is an odd problem, at least for me. We have four 6th Gen Fire HD8 tablets. Three of them connect to Sonos with the app, no problem. One, however, does not. It used to, but no more. I did all the usual: First, I reset the Fire tablet. No luck. Then I wiped the Fire tablet and started all over. No joy. Multiple uninstalls and re-installs of the Sonos app. Nothing. The Wi-Fi on the tablet works perfectly. The Sonos app (S1) connects to the existing system, but then repeatedly, invariably reports “We can't connect to Sonos”. Router was rebooted. No effect. Seems like a strange problem considering that the Fire tablet otherwise functions perfectly including the Wi-Fi. And that all the other Fire tablets (same model, same OS) connect easily to Sonos. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thank you. Matteo
