Hello,I recently purchased two Sonos/Ikea Symfonisk speakers. I fully expected them to work with my setup of chromecast/projector. I was mistaken and am now looking for a solution to this issue. I’m loving the Sonos sound so I really want to make this work and I’m hoping anyone can tell me if the solution I have in mind would work, or perhaps if anyone has another solution that would work.My project is an ‘old’ Optoma HD141x and I’m using an, I believe, 2nd gen Chromecast (if that matters).My projector doesn’t have HDMI ARC or optical so a Beam or Arc is no solution sadly I think. I’m wondering if using a Sonos Five or a Sonos Port would work with line in on my projector and grouping the Five/Port with my two Symfonisk speakers?Thanks in advance. 

Do the one sl speakers need to be placed behind where people are seating?  My room is limited I can place one speaker parallel about 2 feet from the speaker that is right next the couch.  The other speaker i would place 6 foot away and 4 foot in front of the couch.  Would this still work well in an Arc/sub/one sl surround confg?

I have the Beam connected to a brand new Sony UHD TV… it’s fantastic, but the volume increases and decreases in increments of two, regardless of whether I use the TV or Sky remote control. I’d like it to increase and decrease in single increments ideally… can this be adjusted?

I bought the MOVE to use as a sound source for when we have outdoor movies however we’ve been really frustrated to find out that when you airplay the sound or bluetooth the sound from a movie played on a MacBook Air the sound from the MOVE is at 50% of what it typically would be if you were playing music directly from the app.  I called SONOS & they have no idea why it does this.  Very frustrating because the MOVE could be ideal for this if it worked at it’s typical volume.

Can I group my Move and Roam in bluetooth?

I’m having some very annoying issues using my Samsung One Remote from a Samsung Frame 2020 TV with the Arc. It worked perfectly basically out of the box for the first 3 months and now all of a sudden the Samsung remote won’t change the volume for the Arc. When pressing the volume up or down it will still display the (HDMI-eArc) notification on the TV but no + or - signs and doesn’t adjust the volume. I’ve seen threads suggesting to go to the universal remote settings and add a new home theater device as Panasonic, that’s been hit or miss for me and when it does work it’s only been for about 24 hours then I’d have to set it up again. I’m just looking to get the remote working how it worked out of the box on day 1. The Arc is connected via HDMI to the eArc input on the Samsung Frame. Hopefully someone has some ideas. Thanks.

Do anyone know the lithium Jonbattery size in a Sonos Move. Traveling from Sweden by air. Is  it allowed to have the speaker in the hand luggage?

I have a new Samsung NEO 8k tv and connected a new Arc to it using the HDMI/Arc port. The audio works but is several milliseconds behind the video. I’ve noticed that I can use the Sonos software to delay the audio which, as expected, makes matters worse. The tv also seems to have a digital audio delay - a slider bar that defaults to 100. There is nothing available in the tv documentation saying what the 100 is or whether sliding it left or right increases the delay. I have tried moving the slider to both extremes and honestly saw no noticeable difference.  I have seen numerous articles about different audio formats that can be processed faster, but let’s face it, we pay a premium for the arc to get Dolby Atmos sound.  I also read an article suggesting different HDMI cables can make a difference  I will give that a try but not sure I am buying that one.Has anyone experienced this and can suggest a fix?  Thanks!

My setup is an Apple TV 4K 2021 version with an optima UHD50 4K projector, 2 homepods in stereo setup with Dolby atmos and wirelessly connecting to a sonos beam and sub via airplay 2.    On the previous gen Apple TV 4K I was able to use my stereo homepods as the default speakers and then select the sonos beam and sub through the Audio menu of the streaming content.  However the newest version creates issues whereby when I use the homepods as the default speakers it doesn’t allow me to add the sonos beam and sub like before.    I called sonos and they said it isn’t an issue on their end because when I select just the sonos beam and sub for the sound and remove the homepods the sound works.  I also contacted Apple support but they indicated that there might be a new kind of spatial sound update that may conflict with the sonos beam.     I have tried to connect the Apple TV to a hdmi splitter and use optical cable directly to the sonos beam but these sp

Why can’t I go backwards using Flow  in Deezer in the Sonos Environment (App). If the function is available on Deezer why is not availble in the Sonos app? Can we get this fixed?

Hello,Does anyone know if the Sonos Beam uses the auto lip sync protocol over ARC. If i understand correctly, the protocol is only mandatory in HDMI 2.1/eARC, but companies can choose to support it over ARC if they want. I’m keen to know because I have some minor lip sync issues with my 2017 Apple TV 4K, LG B9 and Sonos Beam surround setup. If the Beam does use auto lip sync then im probably experiencing these problems because the Apple TV doesn't support the feature (apparently all devices in the chain need to support the feature for it to work). As such, I may upgrade to the new 2021 Apple TV 4K since that has HDMI 2.1 and im hoping there’ll finally be an unbroken chain that fully supports the HDMI automatic lip sync feature. Many thanks.

We have had the poor experience (many times) of grouping a room only to blast our ears out. Our Living Room has Bar/Sub/One/One and we connect it through our entertainment center.  There are various volume controls at play and sometimes the Sonos Volume in the Living Room is left fairly high. The next morning… we are playing music through a One in a different room and we decide to group the Living Room… with volume still high, music is Very loud and possibly damaging to a person sitting in there.   Questions:  Are there any settings that would reset volume to something like 10% on any newly grouped room?  Or even any settings that would allow volume limits based on Input?  Our entertainment center is generally quiet, our turntable (via Sonos Port) is really quiet, Music is REALLY LOUD. I have a sizable investment in Sonos speakers but I am finding it difficult to manage all the various volume levels across my 7 rooms.  It seems unreasonable that a user wo

Hi I have a sonos beam, sub, and 2 sonos 1 surround speakers in my cinema room.  I am just having my back garden renovated and what to set up a outdoor speaker in my pergola area. What is the best option and can I connect it to my indoor system.  Regards Ian 

This started lately.The music drops out. It’ll be gone for 5-10 seconds. When it comes back the song is 5-10 seconds further along, so the song isn’t stopping or anything. It’s only happening on my One, not my Play:1. In fact if I have them both playing at the same time the song will continue playing on the Play:1 It only happens with Spotify. Tried with Youtube music etc.I’ve also asked Google Assistant questions when the drop happens to try to see if it was a connection issue and it had no problem connecting. 

I found a new way to control my Sonos using buttons over WiFi and NOT through Iphone, Andrioid, or Bluetooth.  Fairly new, the Leviton Four (4) Button Wifi controller #DW4BC fits in a regular wall switch box and wires to 110v.. Once configured, up to four switches can control Sonos via IFTTT, which is referred to as If This Then That. Available at IFTTT.com.  Before diving in, I have already heard this solution is costly and convoluted to some. Yes I know there are other buttons, but this works well for my building, and empowers people without Sonos accounts to listen or stop Sonos without asking me to control the music…. like when a phone rings.  It solves my original problem where speakers are not easily accessible so the buttons are useless. And I won’t allow Siri or Alexa in this building. No longer do people bug me to control the music. They do it now with buttons and not running App software logged into MY Sonos account.  My BUTTON

I have an Arc, sub and 2 play 1s setup. For a month now the setup was fine. No sound issues at all. No changes made to my network either. Since yesterday my arc keeps dropping out intermittently.  For no reason whatsoever. I have tried wifi and ethernet. Same issue. I have had to turn the arc off and revert to TV speakers Diagnostics submitted are 726026310. Please can someone at Sonos help.

Does Sonos Beam work with Samsung 7 Series UN65TU700DF?

Please help, I’m going crazy with this. I have multiple Ports and a Move (no soundbar), and I can’t get the Sub 3 to connect to anything. I’ve reset the Sub countless times, but it can’t get assigned to anything. So it just sits there like a paperweight laughing at me. Any help would be great, thank you!!

Hi Guys and Gals.  Since last night I have lost my surround sound capability. Was working perfectly fine. Came through about 2am and notice one of them pulsing white light.  Looked on the app this morning and found this on the app. So with this I deleted them off the system and had to reset to factory settings to see them again of the system. Connected them up again, worked fine individually. But as soon as you connect them to surroundsound and error occurs halfway through the set up and knocks out the two speakers. Thus having to reset them to factory settings again I’ll start the whole process again. 

Has any one any issues in which parts a track are missing?the device (SONOS One SL) will not play the higher frequencies from an audio track that is streamed to it. One piece of the track is so quiet you can barely hear it and makes it hard to listen to as that is what makes the song that song. Other devices such as my Television, Phone, and PC it will play perfectly fine with that frequency and the track is then whole. It seems as if the speaker is just total junk in comparison to the built in speakers house speakers in my last house from 1999 which seem to have better treble and bass response (Those are Sonance Speakers).Is it crazy to expect something to work correctly?I have also tried changing the very basic equalization settings and they do nothing. (My phone has better equalization than this speaker it could be because Samsung bought Harman/Kardon))

Looking at Amp for existing outdoor speakers as well as one for hooking up to existing high end floor speakers. Want to optimize the output without overkill. Does anyone have a recommendation for either of these?

I am just learning about Sonos and how it works.I would like to know if the following scheme makes sense, and if i have the equipment correct.I am trying to use the minimum amount of equipment.My understanding is each zone needs its own Amp, except if they are sound bars.Zone 1 is meant to serve mostly the kitchen but allow people in dining area to hear the speakers as well. It is connected to its own Amp.Zone 2 is meant to be primarily for the TV, I am hoping that it can also play in sync with zone 1 when desired via the Sonos App.Zone 3 is for the outdoor patio. I am not sure how the speakers should be mounted to serve the most area. Zone 3 needs to be able to play its own sound, and sync with Zone 1 when desired. It is connected to its own Amp.The master bedroom will have a sound bar that is completely independent from all other Zones.Is this correct and possibly? Hi,  I am seriously considering purchasing a pair of IKEA Symfonisk lamps, but just have a quick question regarding controlling the volume.  If I pair them up, I’m aware that using the app I can adjust the volume and it will adjust them both together. That’s great and what I would want. What happens if I use the volume buttons on the lamp itself though. Would it adjust the lamp on the other side of the bed as well?(again, if paired)This is what I’m hoping will be the case, but wanted to clarify before going and getting them.  Thank you!
