Newbie here after purchasing ARC and GEN 3 sub. The sound was nice and solid so far. Wonder to invest in surround sound to achieve ATMOS is require. can I purchase a speaker for testing or any recommendations?
Hi there. I am thinking about getting a Sonos Amp to power my KEF Q150 speakers and connect my TV etc to and I just had a couple of questions I am hoping you can help me with.I am wanting to connect my speakers to the Sonos Amp as well as my Pro-Ject Turntable via RCA cable and TV Via ARC.1.Can I use a Logitech Harmony remote to control the Sonos Amp to control volume and change audio source?2.Can I connect an SVS PB-1000 sub to the Sonos Amp?3.Can I add Sonos wireless rear speakers to the Sonos Amp to make it 5.1 surround sound?4.Is it possible to connect a Sonos ARC or Sonos Bar to the Amp to make a 5.1 setup?5.When I use Spotify or Tidal on the Sonos Amp, does it play at the full audio quality bitrate or does it scale it down because like it would do if using Bluetooth to stream the music?6.In a perfect world I would like to have an actual centre speaker for movies and tv shows. Is there any way to use a Sonos Amp with my KEF L/R speakers and also have an actual centre speaker? Can
Just wanted to let you Sonos know that I used to be a great ambassador for your products - I have five. Since the forced upgrade where half my products no longer work, or if they do I have to use different controllers for each, I’m embarrassed to admit I was ever a fan. Your business is a disgrace.
Hi alli have the arc with 2 surrounds (sonos ones) and a sub (gen 2)will music play in Dolby atmos through all these or just the arc?also what about movies?
I recently installed a Beam and 2 ones as a tv surround system.I already had a Play 3.Have just added Google Assistant for voice control. All works great except I cannot turn my tv on and off with voice control.New Phillips 49 PUS with HDMI ARC port.Assume a setting somewhere but would appreciate advise.Thanks.
Hi, I just bought an Arc but it is not for a TV but for a videoprojector. Do you think it is possible to put it on the top ? I can’t put it on the bottom Here is a picture, in yellow the position for the Sonos Arc. Do you think it will be acceptable ? Nice day !
Am I right I understanding that there is a long standing problem with LG TVs and the Playbar when it comes to lip sync? The last time I checked on this there was no fix and LG were unlikely to do anything about it. Does anyone had any recommendations on TVs that you are using that have good lip sync?
We installed our new Sonos arc and connected it with the recommended HDMI arc connection and included cable to a newer Vizio TV (M507-G1) that is up-to-date on firmware. When watching TV the audio drops out, the volume controls from the TV and Roku remotes are sluggish and sporadic, the audio quality is terrible and the video occasionally will cut out. We hard-reset everything, disconnected, reconnected, chatted with Sonos support, worked through all of the recommendations, opened a support ticked, submitted diagnostics, and ended at a roadblock where the customer support agent suggested we have to find another TV to test it with as the only possible solution. That’s not a realistic solution for us. The unit does work fine with streaming music and with the optical cable connection, but obviously this is not ideal or really an acceptable downgrade for a premium product that is named for the connection it is supposed to function with. I read through similar strings of conversation on S
At the lowest volume level, my pair of Sonos One SL’s are still too loud for late night listening for some types of music.
Guys..I’m about to purchase a Connect-Amp with a manufacture date of 2015 Aug. Seller is adamant that i’ts a gen 2 as he has installed the upgrades for S2, however it has a mute button. I’ve read that the mute button is gen 1. Does any one have a gen 2 connect amp with a mute button?
Hello! I am looking for some help with a challenge I currently have. The end result I would like to achieve is having a record player that’s capable of being listened to through the house. We are an apple house so all components support AirPlay 2, presently.Currently the system consists of two independent Sonos Amp’s that drive a pair of in-ceiling speakers each. Additionally there is a Denon AVR-X4700H that drives the surround system. If I am understanding correctly the Sonos Port (which is OOO until late November) SHOULD be able to stream “wirelessly” to any Sonos targets which id assume includes the stand alones and amps. Can it stream many at once?More curiously can it both take advantage of streaming to sonos targets AND physically to the Denon via the audio out ports?Last.. am I over complicating things? Is there a vinyl player out there that would make this all work much better.
Hi everyone, I bought an Arc on Sonos.com and it “shipped” on 6/29 but since then FedEx has been stuck on Shipment Information Sent to FedEx. Contacted Sonos last week and was told to just wait. But was just wondering if anyone else had hit this in the past? 2 weeks seems like a really long time for something that is ‘in stock’
How much heat does the Sonos Amp develop?
Hello, I’m in a bit of a stand still on what to buy. Originally I wanted to get the Sonos out door speakers however the amp is sold out and I need them ASAP. (One of my questions with this is; with the Sonos amp and outdoor speakers, can they all be connected to my complete Sonos wireless home system(ark/ one/ one/ sub)? To be able to play the same music inside and outside at the same time?) second option is getting 2 sonos moves. Now with this, is it worth it? Or should I wait for the amp and outdoor speakers? I also have the same question with this- can I link all the sonos equipment inside and outside to play the same music with the 2 sonos moves? last question I will be putting a tv outside. How can I connect my tv to the sonos outdoor speakers if I do end up going that route? I already found out the Sonos move cannot be connected to a tv.
Hi, I am purchasing a new LG G1 and have a setup that connects in ceiling speakers to a G1 connect:amp. From my research is it correct that there is now way of passing the HDMI signal from the TV to the connect:amp. Is there any solution using the G1 device or is the only way to connect through a new AMP and HDMI connection?
Are these speakers powerful? For 2 for a 1000 bucks they better be. My indoor system is soundbar sub 2 3 s and 8 play 1 s
Been using the Sonos arc for about 6months connected to an LG CX via eArc without issue (other than only getting a + and - symbol when controlling the volume) today though the tv is recognising that the volume is being changed but the speaker isn’t doing anything, it will change via the app but not with either the sky or magic remote.
HiI have a Sonos “Playbar” & “Sub (Gen 2)” bought at end of 2018I have them connected to my TV as a home theatre system.(Also have the New 2021 Apple TV 4K)I find the volume (tried and tested all settings) to be not loud enough for me to enjoy the action flicks.I was thinking of adding 2 x Sonos 5 speakers (whichGen can I add)to the home theatre setup. Is that possible ?Also what other speaker options do I have ?Thanks
I am trying to play songs on my phone to my Sonos and the Sonos app on my iPhone does not see the Sonos speaker phone connected via ethernet, however it works over Wi-Fi. All my other devices connect just fine via ethernet. However for some reason Sonos has blocked ethernet functionality via the S2 app. I do not want to use the soeaker as a bridge. I have a fast ethernet connection and I don’t want it to be on Wi-Fi.Please update your app to use ethernet as a priority instead of wifi.
Hey everyone. Is it still worth purchasing a used Connect-amp in 2021 I've bought a pair of Polk Atrium 4 for a small alfresco area but need an amp. Is there another option , other than the expensive Sonos Amp. I do have other Sonos products around the house.
The app’s UX is soooo flipping badly designed that deleting a room is so unintuitive that an inter-planetary search needs to be done to find out how to do this simple task. Then all the self righteous fanboys (schmucks) jump in defending why it should be so crap and that we should all appreciate it’s un-intuitivity - Well 418,000 search results don’t agree with you.So after the question was posted back in 2018 and still remains - How the flipping hell do you delete a room. AND why has it taken over 3 years to still be so sh1t?
Hi,Not sure is this new thing or havent this worked with me before. I use my Android to control my Sonos system trough Spotify app. For my phone I normally use my same wifi as my Sonos system has. Now when I use my mobiledata 4G in my phone I can control my Sonos system (that is still connected to the wifi!) normally with no problems. Has it always been like this as using Sonos S2 app it demands to be in the same network as the Sonos System but in Spotify this is not the case.
I thought I read somewhere that later manufactured (serial numbered) Gen 1 Connect:Amps are S2 compatible. Does anyone know what serial number year/month (first four numbers of the SN) is the start of S2 compatibility?
Hi everyone, hope you’re doing great!Does anybody know what’s going on with the availability of Port - at least on the European website?Production problems? Are we expecting a replacement? Thanks in advance guys!
