I have the Sonos Arc, with two rear “one” speakers and a sub. Everything plays well and I get adobe atmos through my Apple TV. My PS5 however has a audio delay (sound behind). The only way to fix it is to switch it from “dolby” to “PCM” which then takes the sound away from the rear speakers. I’ve scoured the internet with no luck. I have a LG tv with ARC not eARC. LG TV: OLED65C8PUASome say to change the option in the tv to say, “passthrough”, but mine only has “auto” or “linear pcm”Some day to buy this: https://hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/ But I don’t feel I need to purchase a $200 product to fix the lip sync. All the audio sync adjustments make the sound worse. Any thoughts would be helpful. 😃
Has there been a request to have eq and volume profiles for the input on a Sonos amp? I have a turntable on the input of the Sonos amp and would prefer the EQ, Surround volume, Sub volume/crossover and rear volumes be different than streaming or hdmi. SETUP:Sonos AmpSonos SubSonos One x2 rearsKef Q150 x2uturn custom with Grado cartridge Thanks!
New to Sonos and just want to confirm if I can use 1 amp or need 2? Looking to setup a 5.1 with soundbar/amp and 2 ceiling speakers in living room. Then in kitchen/dining room use 4 ceiling speakers. From what I read you can connect up to 6 ceiling speakers to 1 amp. Not looking to use both systems at same time, but can I utilize the 5.1 and then the 4 other speakers separately with 1 amp? Hope this makes sense. thank you, David
I have a Sonos Five, a Beam, a roam, and a borrowed play:1 I'm looking to create a setup for watching music videos, I don't really watch too many movies. r I would like to widen the sound stage and get maximum flexibility. I would like it to be a mesh network if possible. Do I purchase? : Another Roam? This could be set up as a stereo pair and placed on either side of the play five or alternatively the Beam. No wires. Neat. Cost $299aud. Two Sonos Ones? This would allow surround sound but creates more power wires. Cost $398aud Another Five? Ultimate sound, but heavy, wired, and expensive. Cost $499aud I'm thinking of the Roam option. Any thoughts?
Have an LG CX, an Apple TV 4k and Full Sonos Arc 5.1 setup with all the latest software. Keep getting that for virtually everything that’s supposed to be Dolby 5.1 and cannot figure out why I am not. Viewed multiple forums and still can’t figure it out. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
How the actual f**k can you discontinue services for people to simply stream music to overpricedhardware that they have purchased. The arrogance is unbelievable. Just let users stream from their devices to your devices. What a crock of s**t Sonos is. If you are a new user considering Sonos, go somewhere else. Their products suck.
I have an older Sonos 5 (S1 app compatible).I’m running an optical audio cable (optical to 3.5mm) from Visio TV to the Sonos 5. I’ve confirmed the proper VIZIO audio output settings with VIZIO support. However there is no TV audio from the Sonos 5. The Sonos 5 works fine wirelessly with the S1 app. I’ve enclosed an image of the Sonos 5 settings. Can anyone suggest a remedy or things to try? Thanks
I’d like to get a sound bar, but I have a “dumb“ TV with no ARC input. Is there a workaround?
Hello:Does anyone know why the audible service cannot be accessed from Spain?
I’m moving house and I’m going to be fixing my Arc to the wall, which is the best wall bracket to use?
Hello! I recently purchase a Samsung smart TV. Can I pair my S2 speakers to the TV via bluetooth? I tried doing it through the TV but nothing was showing up.
I would like to play music that I have downloaded into my Mac through my Sonos system. How is that done?
I suppose I misunderstood this feature. Can you confirm. When I take the Roam speaker away from my home Wi-Fi I can use it as a Bluetooth connected speaker to my phone but I cannot use the Sonos app to stream a Sonos Playlist. I took it on the road this past weekend expecting to use it that way from the hotel room but couldn’t. Thanks.
Hi,I have just bought a Sonos that says on the box Play:5 Gen 2. The first disappointment was that it wouldn’t play my apple hi res music. So I have deleted Apple Music and gone back to Tidal. This Play:5 was priced at €579. My worry is that I have bought old stock and that there is a newer model called the Sonos 5 which is the same price on the Sonos site. I can’t get any clear information on google. Also information very sketchy on exact specs. How do I know if I got the latest model. It was the last in the shop, a display model, so maybe I got the wrong box. What are the differences between Play 5 and 5. NB, it is definitely not a Gen 1, and all I can get is comparisons between Gen 1 and 2.
Hi,I’m not sure this is possible but are there any plans to introduce the ability to add more surround speakers to cinema set up? Currently running with an Arc, 2x Subs (gen 3 & gen 2) and 2 x Ones. Really like the looks of the new Ikea\Sonos frame speaker and would love to put a pair behind us. Thanks in advance,Paul.
SONOS speakers largely under-exploited. Being an audiophile for a long time, I notice that the qualities of the Sonos speakers are of great precision and of great quality. On the other hand it is spoiled at the level of the system which manages them, in effect the application does not offer in ANY WAY to adjust the sound to the top level with an equalizer (10 bands and +). Since every style of music is NOT EQUALS AT ALL, a professional sound system such as SONOS should give us the choice by offering us a QUALITY EQUALIZER option. This has not been the case for many years god knows why. It seems to me that it is not necessary to be an expert in sound to understand that if you want to listen to classical music, hip hop or even pop or country, each style of music requires its own configuration to have sound quality AND UNFORTUNATELY Sonos is ignoring this problem. Will there be someone one day who will eventually make SONOS understand how does a quality sound system work?
Hey everyone.I have a lg oled55c6v TV, and just Got and PS5. Is it possible in someway to get atmos Sound through to my sonos setup? It’s impossible with only the TV Since it does not support it, therefore i only get 5.1. But is there a workaround for the ps5?
I have a Sonos Arc connected to an ordinary ARC HDMI output on my TCL android TV. I recently downloaded the Apple TV app onto the TV and at first it had a terrible lip-sync problem. My TV has PCM, pass-through, and auto options. Pass-through gave no Audio at all, the auto mode gave terrible lip-sync, but the Sonos app was reporting it was receiving a Dolby DD+ Signal. PCM mode still had lip-sync issues, with the app reporting it was receiving a stereo PCM signal. I turned it off and left it a few days, and then tried it again, and it worked perfectly on auto mode - perfect lip-sync, and the sonos app reporting a Dolby DD+ signal. now it has gone back to the original problem again, and I cannot figure out what has changed. Amazon prime has also stopped working on auto mode, and now has bad lip-sync unless set to pass-through, which now sends out a stereo PCM signal for all movies, instead of the Dolby 5.1 that it was giving. I’ve tried switching on and off the tv and the Sonos, and c
I am about to start with Sonos for the first time. I have just ordered a Samsung Neo QLED 55” TV, which will be wall mounted with a Sonos ARC. My installer (who is independent of the shop I am buying from) recommend adding a Subwoofer - so I ordered a Sub Gen 3, but he said I would not need a pair of rear speakers. I had been thinking of a pair of rear One SL’s. But given the installers comments, my wife will not agree to any rears now.My room is not large - the distance from the TV on the opposite wall to our sofa will be around 4m. The width of the room is just under 5m. Is there anyone out there who initially just had an ARC + Sub, who then subsequently added rears - to comment on what the impact was ? It needs to be in the context of a similar room size - it is our small lounge, not a huge cinema room!Appreciate any thoughts. Many thanks Justin
I have a home Sonos network with many Sonos products running on my home Wifi. I have a camper with a SoHo router installed. The idea is to take my cell hotspot or campground WiFi as as the WAN connection creating a local LAN in the camper. This all works as it should except for Sonos. It seems that only one of my Roams work and I can't create the stereo pair. The 2 Roams work as a stereo pair in the house but not in the camper. Any ideas. David

Se il Line OUT di PORT è connesso all’amplificatore Onkyo posso ascoltare gli LP anche sull’impianto tradizionale?Spero di essermi spiegatoGrazie I have a SONOS system with Playbar, 2 Play3, 1 SUB and 2 Sonos On SL. If I buy Sonon PORT, can I connect the Pioneer turntable directly to Sonos port to listen to LPs on the SONOS system? If the PORT Line OUT is connected to the Onkyo amplifier, can I also listen to the LPs on the traditional system?I hope I have explainedThank you
I’ve recently been turning my living room into a home cinema piece by piece, currently have the arc, 2 of the Sub gen 3 and 2 ones for my surround setup, also have 2 moves which I absolutely love. going to upgrade to 2 fives for my surrounds, and putting the 2 Sonos 1 in my hallway and basement :) the sound quality is insane, the newly introduced Apple spatial audio works great with the Apple TV 4K really impressed
Some question about my Sonos Arc and Netflix.I am writing fron Spain. When in a movie appears the DolbyAtmos symbol, doesnt means that I can hear the movie in DA?I would have to choose in the different languages, the one in “dolbyatmos”? In my case, in Spanish DolbyAtmos? If not is available in my language, then the sound will be in Dolby Digital even the logo is in the movie presentation?
I have a Sonos Arc paired with 2 Play 5s … I also have a Gamut Dana subwoofer lying with me which I want to add to the setup … can I use the optical out of the Tv to connect the Gamut by using a 5.1 audio sound decoder converter to 5.1 ch analog audio ?
My Sonos Ark arrived today. I had some reservations but, it’s 2020 and I can’t believe how irritating this is. 2019 Vizio M Series Quantum (M658-G1) Apple TV 4K XBox One S ATV - Supports Atmos XBox - Supports Atmos Vizio TV - Supports Atmos (with certain apps) I’ve adjusted all the settings, tried different settings, and no matter what I do the Arc won’t do Atmos. The best I get is DD+ 5.1. Apparently with Vudu I could Atmos strait from the TV app … but this is Canada. No Vudu. So I have three atmos capable players. A new Atmos sound bar. My TV and Apple 4K are current models. And yet… no Atmos. It’s ridiculous. Not sure to blame Vizio. Sonos. Apple…. between them they just don’t talk.
