I envision leaving the Roam (or pair of Roams) normally connected to the charging cables and only running off batteries the odd time I want portability (taking them out on the deck when I BBQ or possibly into the bathroom when I shower).Can I play the speakers while they are connected for charging? Can I leave them turned on all the time so they can be part of my home network the same as my Sonos Ones and Play:1s?

No shortage of discussion about the issues with Sonos systems on mesh wifi networks.I’m just seeking advice on whether purchasing the Sonos Boost will let me circumvent the most common ones assuming I also purchase a Google Nest Wifi system.I’m hoping to get set up with the following:Sonos One (currently have) Sonos Five (currently have) Sonos Boost (considering purchasing) Google Nest Wifi (considering purchasing)Any advice from the experts is most appreciated

When we built our home, Sonos was not around. I put in a distributed sound system by Russound. It consists of a multi-zone amplifier which feeds 6 zones. Each zone has a wall-mounted controller (on/off, volume and source) with in-ceiling speakers. To this system I connect my TV, dvd/cd player, Apple TV, speakers in various rooms…..10 speakers in total. we are renovating currently and it seems like a good time to make some changes.   I would like something that uses the speakers I have and the TV CD DVD inputs.  I was advised by a sound company that I could do all that I do now with a Sonos ampIt does not seem that that is correct. What would I need to get from Sonos to be able to use the in wall controllers, the in ceiling speakers, controls 6 zones, that I can connect the TV, CD/DVD, Apple TV to.   i appreciate the advise and your expertise.  Thank you in advance.

I have an SD card that contains mostly 96khz/24 bit FLAC files. What would be the best way to access those files and be able to play them in HiDef? I only have SonosOne, SonosFive, and Roam units. 

As a music lover and ex-DJ the idea of having synchronised music around the home has always been a dream for me.Before Sonos I invested considerable time, effort and money into hardwiring speakers in all main reception rooms to achieve it, especially for parties. When Sonos arrived I bought in straight away - it seems like my dream had come true.Though I have had spells of reasonable performance a consistent theme has always been and still is regular drop outs of some sort or another.I have a total of 12 Sonos units deployed (and 4 others awaiting deployment) and have invested £1,000’s in Wi-Fi and other technical solutions / input only to find that a new front opens up with Sonos typically blaming something non-Sonos for the new problem.So - is Sonos still fit for purpose? (in the average modern home, given the proliferation of tech and Wi-Fi therein).

I have a pair of sonos ones and want to figure out if I can get a sonos Move and have it paired with them. Saw someone already asked this and that the answer was no but I saw an article stating that you could so just want to see if there’s an update on this.

Another device interfering with HDMI connection. I just bought the Sonos Arc, connecting to my Samsung TV QN65Q70TAGCZB via HDMI ARC/CEC. When my cable box and sonos are connected via HDMI, no sound through Sonos ARC. I can only get sound when I disconnect everything else, to include cable. Everything hooked correctly, tv setup correct.  This happens every time the TV is turned off.Please help!

Hello i would like to discuss an idea that involves any music artist that uses monitors speakers. Im currently on a budget to find ways of finding great hardware speakers that work with mixing music through a DAW. I currently own a One SL and i am able to listen to my tracks through the sonos app thats connected with my sound cloud. I made a playlist to reference 1 song and comparing the mixes to my own songs. I feel that a solution would be made if sonos made a 2 ways speaker thats not wireless and is easier to connect to a computer to a usb mixer and xlr output to the product. This would help so much for me as an artist and for other artists and would be very competitive to many popular studio monitor speaker products. Thank you.

Hello, We are thinking about getting a few Sonos One Speakers for our office. I am not familiar with this system so I have a few questions to see if it will work how we want. If I buy 4 Sonos Ones, can they all be controlled separately? We would like to be able to all listen to the same thing but also change the music for each “zone” if we want.Can I have 4 different users control the Sonos app?

I have the old Play 1, 3 and 5. What would be a new equivalent to the 5? I also plan on expanding in the future. Thank you

My Roam got splashed by the pool now it doesn’t work. The glue holding the top is separated. Clearly not water resistant. Very dissatisfied that the speaker is not as advertised. I’ve owned it for less than a month.Others have similar issues?

I am continually trying to improve my setup output and wondering if anything has changed as far as settings etc. Anyone have any ideas on what Else I can do, I would appreciate it. Biggest issue is that I am still getting Multichannel LPCM 7.1 and Stereo PCM through ATV 4k on what should be DD for streaming. At least I do get some Atmos on Netflix, Apple TV and HBO Max  Also volume is really soft at like 70% it’s like about the same as 30% on my Beam. Note all hardware are latest updates.LG is set with hdmi for atv as bitstream, hdmi 2 for arc as pcm (default and can’t change), earc on, dolby atmos on, digital sound out pass through. 3.23.06 ATV 4k is set format 4k dolby vision, match content off, audio output tv speakers, audio format auto atmos available, audio mode auto.  14.6Arc is set as standard with no adjustments but with loudness and voice on. 13.1.4

I just recently purchased the Symphonisk speaker and there is no sound. I don’t even get sound during true play. I do have a light on the front that is white. The play button and volume buttons work just fine and I can control my play 1 if the speakers are paired from the Symphonisk. From all appearances it just seems that the speaker is broken. 

So my LG LED uses a Beam with Arc and a gen 3 Apple TV and with 2 Play 1s it shows Dolby Digital 5.1 as it should. When I watch the exact same content on my LG OLED with eArc surround and an Apple TV 4k (old version) I get the MC LPCM 7.1. Why the difference? I haven’t made any major setting changes on the led setup and it’s fine. 

I’m currently setting up roughly 1,500 square foot basement with 4 TV’s on north, south east and west walls.  I was thinking 4 SONOS Arc’s at each TV along with 1 sub for game time and music to keep the clean look and good sound throughout.  Anyone think this will work or should i switch some to play 5’s?I’m looking for recommendations if this will be okay for both music and TV.  Comments please….

why i cant order this ?

Hey,  I may gave completely missed all info on this but hey! I have just received my PS5 and am pumped to use it with my Sonos Surround Sound Set Up. Arc, 2 x Play 1 & Sub.. My question is how I connect all of this with my TV, while still enabling 120Hz Refresh and Dolby? My TV only has one EARC HDMI which is the only one I assume I can use with the PS5 to allow 120HZ refresh rate? Sine the ARC only has 1 HDMI slot I will then miss out on EARC on the Sonos? What am I missing? I have read about pass through also but am completely baffled!  Cheers, Sean

I dont want sonos radio.  I already have a subscription service and don’t need another one.  Or the sonos radio ads.  How do I get the icon off my “Browse” list? I’ve tried all the suggestions I’ve found so far, including hitting the icon and then selecting a “remove” button (there isn’t one) and going to the online site and opting out there (no option).I know some will say that it shouldn’t bug me or that it’s just a part of the app, but I reject both of those ideas.

I have a pair of Sonos One SL speakers; They are paired in my living room/kitchen area (same room 20 feet apart), and have a delay between them resulting in an echo or a “singing in a round” effect.I listen tonmusic less frequently now, it occurs intermittently and when it does I spend 15 minutes searching the internet, troubleshooting and searching for a solution before I give up and resign myself to a music-less sad life. It drives me crazy and makes me not want to buy another SONOS product. 

Can I play the songs loaded on my iphone 6 ios 12.5 on my Sonos speakers?

Hello,I’ve recently received my Arc bar. However I am struggling to use Dolby Atmos. I have got LG BX 65 OLED and my arc is connected via eARC HDMI. In addition I use Netflix premium subscription.I was playing with all possible TV options but it always shows Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, never Dolby Atmos. What am I doing wrong? How can i enable dolby atmos to see that in my Sonos App.    

Hi Got my Roam today and liking it a lot. I’ve had it charging on a wireless charger for 12+ hours and it is showing as fully charged. Was a bit concerned to find it is fairly warm this evening despite not being used for 4-5 hours. This suggests the battery is being charged even though it is at 100% which won’t do it any good.  Or is this normal for speakers that are powered up but inactive?  thanks.
