Hello All, I’m a little surprised this hasn’t appeared to come up.I have a Sonos Port connected to my AudioLab Stereo Amplifier. I use the 12v trigger to turn on but I’m also looking for a way to control volume on my AudioLab using the Sonos app. Ability to select the proper input (Dig2) would be a bonus and nice to have. I envision this making use of some external device that can read the Sonos commands and output via an IR blaster. I tried building an Arduino based interface box that almost worked but my limited programming knowledge and time prevented success. I looked at something like a Harmony, but with that being ended by Logitech it seems like a waste of efforts. Plus I’d really like to use the Sonos app primarily. I don’t necessarily want a smart home interface just for this one function. It seems a waste and semi costly. I’m open to any thoughts or solutions. Thank you.
Is it possible to “tune” a Sonos Radio station? I don’t see a thumbs up/down, but does skipping a song or adding it to your library affect the future selection for that station for me?
Which karaoke machine do you guys recommend to work with sonos
I bought a house with some older Sonos products: Playbar and two Play:1 speakers setup as surround sound for a TV, two other Play:1 speakers each in different room, and two Connect Amps, each driving a separate set out outdoor speakers. I added a Beam and two ONESL speakers as another surround system and another pair of ONESLs stereo paired. Before I drop $450 on a Port, I need to understand how it would work. I would ethernet it into my network in the equipment room where the two connect Amps are.Can I just do that and then be able to Airplay through it to the older Sonos speakers and Connect Amps over the network? If so, how do I do that and be able to control which speakers are used for the Airplay output from the Port? Or does Port need to be physically connected to an output? Sonos support info seems to imply that but other things I read indicate the Port can play to other Sonos speakers. If so, how?
I’ve got a Beam Gen 2 connected to an LG BX via eARC and an Xbox Series S, and I’m struggling to find a configuration that works well for both TV and Xbox content. If I set Digital Sound Out to “Auto”, TV content is great, but the Xbox will claim my setup doesn’t support Uncompressed 5.1 or 7.1. Dolby Digital can be selected but this unfortunately has a bad delay that seems to be either a widely known issue with the Xbox or a widely known issue with LGs depending on who you ask, so I can’t do much about this.If I set Digital Sound Out to “Passthrough”, I can use 5.1/7.1 on the Xbox with no delays, but then I have a problem with TV content where if I pause and resume anything, it takes a second or two for the sound to come back. No delay is introduced, just a break in the audio so I miss a few words and end up having to rewind a bit.Other settings: eARC = On, DTV Audio Setting = Auto, HDMI Input Audio Format = Bitstream.Any ideas where the problem is here and if there’s a combination of
Hi I had this problem with my Music Library on my Synology NAS server. Eventually the Sonos Tech Team came up with an answer that worked for me. The problem was I only had one user account for the NAS server and all my Sonos Speakers and iMac and PC etc used this account. It appears the NAS drive thought this was a security risk and stopped my two One SLs for accessing the drive. The other speakers worked OK. The solution was to create another user account specifically for Sonos. As soon as this was created and the library rebuilt with the new account all the speakers worked correctly and I can play music from the library from any speaker. Hope this helps with some of these access problems.
Can Sonos Amp be used to add another zone to an Onkyo receiver system? Will the Sonos Amp have access to all the inputs of the Onkyo receiver?Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.Thank you.
My Beam does not appear in the Products in system settings. If I add the PlayOnes it disappears. I am logged in. I tried all things mentioned in this post about turning of private network, etc.: I have iOS 15.4.1; The Sonos app is 14.6 build 68228040
I’m debating adding two One SLs as surrounds to my Sonos Beam 2.After I add the two surrounds, does this improve the audio of the Sonos Beam 2 by redirecting some of the previous channels the Beam was outputting to the new surrounds and therefore widening the soundscape of the Beam 2?Or does the Beam 2 continue outputting the same audio as before the surrounds and the surrounds simply get extra sounds not present before?Just wondering if adding the surrounds further improves the audio quality coming out of the Beam 2 basically.
I see the subject of unexpected/unwanted explicit lyrics appearing through Sonos Radio stations has been raised a few times over the years and I was wondering where Sonos stood on the issue and if there are any plans to enable filtering? For some father-daughter bonding today my 5yr old asked me to dance with her so we put the ‘Hit List’ station on and were having a great time (my dancing could do with some filtering but that’s a subject for another thread!) when the song Kiss Me More by Doja Cat came on... A lovely little number but one which got a little fruity as things went on to the point where I couldn’t assume her brain wasn’t picking up on the words and phrases that I don’t think she’s quite ready for just yet so had to mute it until then next track came on (which then just drew more attention to the song we’d just had and I’m sure she was mentally ‘rewinding’ in an attempt to decompose what she’d taken in and work out what all the fuss was about!).Any chance of one day being ab

How would we disconnect my wife's iPhone so I can connect my Android to SONOS please??Thank you
Where do I find the songs I have added to my Sonos Favorites on the iPhone App.I am sure like many Sonos users we add songs to Sonos Favorites. On the desktop controller - it is at the top of the Select a Music Source page that you see when first opening the app.I have been unable to find Sonos Favorites as a source in the iPhone app.Help!
This is getting ridiculous. I ordered a Beam and Sub with the 30% discount on Jan 13. It's now Apr 21 and it still says on backorder. Every time I ask for an update, I get a general response back that everyone else gets(Sorry for the delay etc....) Then I get another saying that they will check with the warehouse. After that response I hear nothing. Don't tell me that after almost 4 months, that they don't have a Beam and Sub in any colour in stock. They are more than likely fulfilling orders for customers that are not getting the discount and shipping the rest to retail stores. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I would love to get the Pro-Ject T1 and hook it up to an entertainment system with 2x sonos one speakers (gen 2), a gen 3 amp, and an arc. Is that possible?
Hello,Is it possible to connect YAMAHA RX-VX85 to Sonos AMP just as a FM radio source? There are no speakers connected to YAMAHA RX-VX85. Just the SONOS AMP, 4 IN-Ceilling Speakers, SUB and soundbar.
I have just “upgraded” from Connect:Amp to Amp.Previously, I had a Connect:Amp working as a main music player, but when I played the TV through a Playbar, the Connect:Amp would feed surround sound to the attached speakers.I now find with the new Amp that there is only the option to use the Amp as a main source OR as surrounds (front or rear). Can it really be that Sonos has removed functionality from the new product or am I missing something?
Is the lack of Apple Music lossless support a Sonos Issue (haven’t got to it yet) or an Apple issue (not allowing other providers to access the lossless streams)?I actually think Airplay does sound better, but that is not why I bought Sonos speakers. Thanks
I really wish sonos would release a 7.2 Surround sound package I would prefer 11.2 But I guess that's pushing it And I wish I could hook up more subs for underneath the couch
I updated my ipad and iphone operating systems (as usual) and now SONOS will not play my (3rd party) streaming radio stations. Problem appears to be an incompatibility issue with iOS 15.4.1. I can’t be the only one with this problem. What’s up?
Does anyone know if it's possible to playback video podcast audio to Sonos? All of my video podcasts are greyed out in the Sonos app. I presume because Sonos doesn't support the video file playback.
My library lives on a Synology NAS, and I've succesfully played music from there for months. Recently, I had reason to clean up my NAS user list, and I'm afraid one of the users I cleaned out was the user Sonos was using. I suspect I allowed Sonos to use the Guest account, and I've disabled that.Is there a way to modify the credentials used by Sonos to access a network folder? I'd strongly prefer to create a specific Sonos user on the NAS, and use that to access the folder from Sonos.(If not, I'll just re-enable Guest with read access to the music folder.)
Wondering if this is a known issue or if I have a defective Beam gen 2 that I just bought. With TV on volume up works and volume down always seems to work. Worked fine with my Beam gen 1..
I just ordered a sonos amp from the sonos website. Backorder until late june. Ok no problem, everything is late, delayed, backordered in this countySo why are they available for next day deliver on amazon? I do not think these are refurbished or used products. And they have return policy to amazon as well.So what gives? These ok to get on amazon?
Hi y’all! I’m thinking of putting Sonos Architectural speakers in my kitchen and living room. There would be one pair in each room. I understand that a single Sonos Amp can handle 2 pairs of Sonos Architectural speakers. For each pair of speakers, I’d like the ability to play music in either set or both sets simultaneously - this is a must. When playing audio in both pairs simultaneously, the ability to control volume in each pair independently would be nice to have, but not necessary. Can I achieve this by using a single Sonos amp? If so, do I need any additional components to make this work? Appreciate your advice.
