Why can’t the One SL be used with the S1 app? Is it because of hardware limits? Or is it because of firmware locking?
Sound cuts in and out when Roam is paired with Beam and watching a Prime movie
I asked sonos to start playing music from Spotify. Success. I asked sonos to play the song everywhere. It took a solid 20 seconds before all speakers were playing. And the system sounds horrendous. So I sat down at my computer and opened the Sonos app for mac. I selected a Sonos playlist to replace the music playing on all speakers. The speakers in the room with my computer did not join the group playing the new track for long enough that I was able to find where to submit a diagnostic and clicked the submit button. The speakers in this room kicked in before the diagnostic was fully submitted. The track sounds like crap in here though. Copied the diagnostic number and came to Sonos.com. To Support and Connection Error. My problem was not listed so I clicked to Ask Support. It is currently Thursday at 7:49pm ET in my region here in the United States. And despite the website clearly stating that Chat support is currently available until 11:00PM ET, the status indicator flatl
I have a sonos system at home and at office. If in the morning i play music at home and then travel to office, my office sonos system cannot be found on wifi network. BUT just below the error message it says a sonos system has been diecovered on the same wifi network as the one it cound not find and displayed an error message. once i re-engage the network, all is fine—that is, until i come back to the office where issue repeats. after leaving office, i have same issue on home sonos system There are greater injustices in the world but anyone know how to resolve. Btw both systems are current on software updates.
Que puis-je faire ?Merci Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Good morning,I wanted to reactivate a sonos play:1 that had not been used for some timeI did a factory reset, the software update was done but it is impossible to add it to my system: the orange LED flashes, the connection via a temporary wifi connection works, the app recognizes the speaker but it does not emit any sound (sound pin code) to finalize the operation. The alternative operation of pressing the play/pause button is not
Can someone please explain why I'm unable to use my sonos system to play music from my phone as it says I need a system update but when I try to update it gives me the error 1000 which apparently has no resolution. I've reloaded the app multiple times on my Samsung S24. However when anyone with an iPhone tries to play music through my system it works no problem. It just stopped woeking for me about a month ago and I can't get it to work again please help.
I have a brand new Sonos One SL.I have added it to the system with the 4 other devices but cannot get past the registration process to get it working. I have tried on my android and my windows app - neither work. I have reset the phone, factory reset the wifi, Bluetooth and mobile (because Pixel 7s have Bluetooth issues) and reinstalled the Windows app. Nothing works. And then I’m told Sonos customer care is “here to help” … and pressing that link gives me a blank screen. Very helpful. Sonos app - System: “One SL is not registered” .. Press “Fix it” Pops up “let’s finish adding your Sonos One SL to your system”… Press “Continue” “Next, you Sonos One SL will play a chime…..” Chime plays Prompts me to press the infinity button on back… Pressed “There was a problem adding your Sonos One SL to your system. Try again later” Again, agai ad again… the same issue “Try again later” might be the most annoying prompt you could ever code in here Sonos - seriously!
I have several speakers , I have a bridge that everything runs through . Play 3,play 1 and bridge came with my kit when sonos 1st came out,now I have 3 play 1s newer era 2 beams a 1 arc and sub 3 . My app has been giving me an error code and let's me connect once or twice a week . The bridge is dated I know but still controls everything when I disconnect it nothing connects . I still have all speakers connected. What do I do?
Once or twice a week, my Sonos system randomly stops playing music on all speakers. This is at times accompanied by all of my speakers disappearing from the iPad app. Rebooting the iPad and thus the Sonos app seems to restore the speakers and fix music playback. During this process, I get spurious prompts to add back speakers. Some other notes: I have a mix of 9 wireless and wired speakers, Sonos One SL’s and Symfonisks I have been able at times to play back music during these episodes from the Web app or the MacI am writing this note especially to the attention of Sonos personnel, but was wondering if anyone had noticed similar behavior and had come up with a permanent fix short of completely tearing down and rebuilding my system or network. I should be at the most current software versions. My network appears to be working, otherwise. TIA
Opened the Sonos app today to find all products missing. I suspect one of two things, either:it’s to do with the Sonos app being flaky (as I can see some other similar posts in recent days) it’s the result of having been away last week and attempts to get the Sonos Move (which I had with me) connected to the wifi in our accommodationEither way, I’m hoping to recover things without factory resetting the entire system. For what it’s worth, I can see all of my products when I log into the Sonos website, so they’re still there. The options the app presents are either ‘Update network’ or ‘Set up new system’. What I really want is ‘join existing’ but I don’t have that option. Update network fails completely I’m afraid. I’ve a couple of times got a single device to emit the ‘pairing’ tone, but then the app never finds it.The arc and era 100’s are working by the way for TV audio, but presumably as it’s all directly connected via HDMI. I can’t control any of it to play music.Where do I sta
Hi,...I have 7 SONOS speakers: 4 Play:1, 1 Play:3, 1 Play:5 and 1 Arc. I connected a Technics turntable to the Play:5.Everything has always worked very well. I applied the update in S2 last year, without any problem.I did not want to apply the last big update of May 2024, seeing the catastrophic return of users, neither on my Mac, nor on my iPhone nor iPad.TIME 1 - After this crappy update was made available, my system continued to work, with access to my Synology NAS, as it had for the last 5 years.TIME 2 - In July, on my iPhone, I no longer have access to the settings and the SONOS application requires me to apply the update. Which I did not do.TIME 3 - Early August, on my iPad, I no longer have access to the settings and the SONOS application requires me to apply the update. Which I did not do.TIME 4 - Mid-August (today), I no longer have access to the settings on my Mac, the only possibility of streaming music on all my SONOS speakers is the SONOS application which requires me to a
2nd update, still no connection to 2.4/5ghz wifi router. When are you going to sort this out?
Are there still issues adding speakers to the system? I’m still having trouble adding a Sonos One Gen2 to my system. It disconnected and I could not get it back up so I reset the speaker thinking I’d re-add it but it keeps saying it’s not registered. I’ve searched and tried transferring the system (to the same email), resetting the app, and logging out/in but none of these methods work. I tried creating a new account to add the speaker there and that worked. But I just can’t get it back on my normal system.
My system is on 8.4 and walled from app updates. I have 3 CR100 controllers that amazingly have not exploded yet. One still has the original battery, 2 have been upgraded for a few bucks from ebay. My main question is if I were to get an old Play:5 that someone upgraded to V11 something, is there any chance of downgrading the firmware to 8.4 to be compatible with my system? ****************So far my issues with being on 8.4 include:a Sonos One that lost Alexa, but cannot be re-registered without having a phone that has both Sonos 8.4 and the current version of Alexa on the same device, phone only. I preserved my old Android phone with Sonos 8.4 but it will not update Alexa to the latest, and my current phone is iPhone and research says I can’t sideload the Sonos app on iOS. I have other Alexa in my system but for some reason Alexa will not control *playing* on Sonos but Alexa will *stop playing* what I’m playing on Sonos. I can say “Alexa, ask Plex to play Playlist” and she will
I have been waiting on a response to the alarm not working now the app doesn't open? Can we not just switch to the prior app?
This past weekend I had placed 2 of my Move 1's outside in my backyard. I had a large group of people so the volume levels where up to about 70%. Streaming Spotify through the app. At some point both Move's where only playing the higher frequency and lost mid range and bass. The next day I tried to trouble shoot the sound quality issue. What finally worked was turning the speaker off and then back on. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it the high volume level or possible heat? I have had these Moves for a couple years and never had this happened before..
I have 2 era 100s in two rooms. One is in the kitchen and is great. Sometimes I like to bring the second one in to make a stereo pair which sounds much better. However this is difficult as the mains wire is looped through furniture so I would like a second mains wire. No other wires fit the era 100 (I have a five, sub and beam) and I can't find one for sale. Any suggestions on how to get a mains wire or do I need to look at a cheap Chinese one? Surely someone else has had this issue or has damaged a cable and needs a replacement.
can anyone helpI have 5 Sonos Devices, only 1 is airplay compatible, I want to play downloaded purchased music from my phone, is linking possible to play music via Airplay to all speakers into the rest of my network?
I have a port which I connect a Sonos One Gen 1 that I upgraded to Gen 2. The upgraded of the Sonos One from Gen 1 (purchased Feb/2018 to Gen 2 was excruciating. I learned in order to have a stereo affect with two Sonos One devices they need to be compatible. Question - If I buy a Sonos One Gen 2 will it be compatible with my Sonos One which I upgraded to Gen 2? Thank you
Unexpected sound failures on one or two Sonos SL of my larger system occur more n more often
I am frustrated beyond belief with my Sonos system. I have 20 Sonos devices that do not work and haven’t in several weeks. I’ve invested a lot of money in the system but it is functionally worthless. My wireless router is a mesh network with five satellites covering a 4000 square-foot house. Download speeds are more than sufficient to run the network. I have gone through the tedious process of unplugging every speaker, every router, every amp and rebooting the modem, the routers and each Sonos devices to no avail. It still does not work. I come from the tech industry and understand when a software update isn’t done correctly and causes bugs. I have patience and am willing to give the company a chance to fix it, but it has been way too long with no fix. I am at the point where I’m gonna give one last Hail Mary pass with tech-support and if they can’t get it running, I’m gonna sell all of it and move to another system. I didn’t buy Sonos to be a part-time job trying to make it work. Is
Where does the SONOS queue live? I don’t think it is in the app (on device). Does it live on a SONOS server, or locally in the speaker(s)? This has been bugging me for a while. Just curious.
Everything about Sonos now is utter rubbish. even signing into this it said my password was wrong so when i reset it I used one that I thought worked and it said that I cant use a current one..aaargh. Sonos cant even get that right.Went to listen to BBC radio 6 music this morning...forget it, still waiting….all kinds of unhelpful things appearing on my phone app. If anyone from sonos is reading this then you need to know, that unless you sort out these problems FAST your business will go bankrupt. Nobody I know who used sonos can now be bothered with it. It just does not work...station selection, volume controls, rooms dropping out...I could go on and on. Restaurants who are big users of these system, are abandoning it in droves. SONOS SORT IT!!!! You don’t have much time.
How can I play my CDs through my play 1s from a intigrated amp CD player without WiFi or blue tooth
Recently I am having severe problems with my wifi connection. I am unable to connect to my usual network, which happens to be the one that is used by Sonos. So Sonos won’t launch.Sonos tells me to change the network on my computer to the one that Sonos is tied to. I cannot do this because it is the network that won’t connect. What I need to do is the opposite...to change the wifi network that Sonos is using. How do I do this? Thanks.
