hello, I would like to purchase a pair of sonos era 100 but for the moment I do not have a fixed internet connection (with a box), but I use my smartphone to share a connection. My question is whether I will be able to turn it on which requires a Wi-Fi connection to share with my smartphone?thank you in advance for your feedback
Hello everyone, I would like to buy the Sonos Era 1000 speaker and I have three questions. First, what is the decibel number? Second, is the sonos era 100 portable or is it always plugged into the mains? And lastly, can the Sonos Era 100 be paired with other Sonos speakers...smaller? THANKS
I use my Sonos speaker for my computer set up. When I log on it connects perfectly but when my son logs onto his side of the computer the speaker won't connect. Airplay can see it but it won't connect. There should be no issue as I don't need the speaker except with the computer. Can I set it up to allow the computer to connect regardless of user? Cheers
I have Sonos Era 100, is it possible to connect to it microphone like in the picture for karaoke?
Does the Sonos Five speaker play analog output when music is streamed to it over wifi? (i.e. Victrola wifi turntable, Apple/Youtube Music, etc). Is it converted to analog when it is received by the Five speaker or is it converted at the source?I guess in other words, can analog audio be played over wifi streaming devices?
Sonos skill WAS enabled in Alexa but don’t recall any account linking taking placeSo following suggestion's found on here I have subsequently Disabled the Sonos skill and re-Enabled itThat triggers the re linking, prompted to sign into Sonos account, now says accounts are linked closing that screen, next screen is search for device But reports “Alexa couldn’t find a new device to connect”Asks if I can control device using Sonos app - Yes I can - it tries to connect again - fails again and again Found the suggestion on here about changing the Sonos Play:1 name and going thru whole process again - still no joy ( tried multiple names/times ) Any other suggestions please ? HiI have a double space living room , at one end of the room where the tv is i have a beam, sub and 2 x ones and I want to add an era 300 in the other end of the room. Will that work for playing all tv sound and music and adding a turntable to the era 300?Thanks
I am trying to connect a Google home speaker so it can play the same time as my Sonos products. At the moment I can play the two sonner speakers which I have downstairs or the Google home speaker on its own which I have upstairs but neither together !
Hello Sonos Community, I purchased three total Era 300s, two of which I setup as a stereo pair in my living room. I would like to connect the third one to the stereo pair, and set it in a different room, but have it playing the same music as the stereo pair. Is this possible? Or can only two Era 300s connect and play the same music at once? Thank you!
From my experience, the best Sound Experience requires an initial phase of “breaking in” the Speakers to expand the ranges and to develop the sound Maturity. Is this recommended for Sonos products? (i.e. Running very dynamic bass and challenging treble albums in repeat to open up the Sound Range & Spectrum)Any suggestions in this regard as well? Thanks!
I’ve just bought a Sonos 5, but I can’t seem to pair it to my Bluetooth turntable. When I press the Bluetooth search button at the back, it doesn’t chime and the light doesn’t flash blue, it only flashes red.
I want to install 2 speakers in one room and make them play in stereo. This is for playing music only. Will 2 Era 100 play well in stereo?
I just updated my system to S2 v15.1 and my Gen2 subwoofer failed (my Sonos1, Playbar, Amp2 all updated fine). I tried resetting, reconnecting, rebootng and nothing worked. I called tech support and they went thru the same steps, said it was likely a fault. They cannot “see” the sub on their end and offered an RMA #. Now I have to buy a new subwoofer “at a discount”, which will still cost me more than $600. Is there anything beside 1) restarting the sub (white flashing light doesn’t go green), resetting to factory default (orange/white flashing light doesn’t go green), rebooting by Boost, rebooting my router, that I can do on my end?
Does anyone know when Fives may be eligible for the upgrade programme?
Hi, I recently bought my first Sonos speaker (Sonos 5) and I’ve plugged it into my Echo Dot (via a double-ended 3.5 cable) so I can hear Alexa and use her to play Spotify Premium. It seems to work well. I'm now thinking of adding a sub and a couple of Sonos 1's, but before I do wanted to check whether these additional speakers will also 'connect' to Alexa and play nice. Obviously, only the 5 will be wired to the Echo, but will it send the audio it receives from the Echo to the additional speakers? If the answer is no, then perhps one of the Sonos 1's I get should be the model with Alexa built-in, in order to get Alexa to play Spotify to the group? In fact, I suspect this setup would likely be better than wiring to an Echo?Justin checking before I add more speakers and find out it won’t work with Spotify/Alexa to void disappointment. Many thanks!
No sound on Beam 2 when yhe Bluetooth sound from Roam is shared with it since one week.
I read in another forum that sonos is testing new Arc hardware. What's up with that?
I currently only have one Sonos beam & had a couple of questions regarding streaming music. Is there a rule of thumb on how much data streaming music will use per hour? When I add a satellite (or more), will they all share that one data stream, assuming they’re all synchronized to play the same thing? Are any of the streaming services better than others in terms of bit rate, or is that even an option?thanks!
I know this sounds trivial but I’m having trouble connecting a Play 5 with my S1 app. It was disconnected during troubleshooting trying to get my existing S1 system speakers to work with the new S2 because I just got a Beam Gen 2. It is the only holdout - it can’t work with the S2 but it is now disconnected and so I need to get my S1 app to recognize it. Currently, it has an ethernet cable connected to it and is powered on. In the S1 app (after I reset it) I get the option to set up a new Sonos system, or connect to an existing system. I choose connect to existing system, and then get “Use Sonos S2 app” or more options menu which essentially lead me full circle back to resetting the app. My conclusion is that SONOS wants me to have a “new” app (new credentials to log in) to the S1 app. Nothing seems to be working. Would it be appropriate to simply unplug the existing S2 devices in the house and then try to connect my Play 5 to an existing system? Fooling the S1 into thinking t
https://www.theverge.com/2023/11/16/23963569/leaked-sonos-email-discloses-headphones-team-job-cuts Many news sites are posting this. There was even an announcement on my local news radio station. So far I haven’t seen any exact dates, just “2024”.
Hi, does anyone know how to disable that terrible volume ‘beep’ when you amplify the volume?
I have 8 play5 (Gen1) and a S3. If I buy a Sonos smart speaker would it be compatible? Could I use Siri to control the complete system?
Hi all. I bought the Sonos sub with the notion of placing under my couch (foolishly without measuring) and it won’t fit. I can place it in a cupboard in my built in TV unit. Wife hates the look of it so this is my only shot. Would this be pointless or ineffective? Is it supposed to be on the ground? Would the sun being placed in a piece of wooden furniture sound terrible or vibrations that would diminish my sound system? Units not test installed so I can’t test and secondly as it is still in its packaging I may be better off returning the item. thanks.
Is there a way to disable unwanted sound effects? The music getting louder or softer as I swipe my finger on the Era 100 is exactly the function I expect of a volume control, yet there’s a second artificial sound that not only inexplicably intrudes on the music experience but is redundant of what I can already hear. Please tell me there’s a way to make the beeps go away, they’re harshing my mellow, offending my fellow listeners, and I think make the system sound like a cheap toy. 🤞
Both of my ONE Gen2 Sonos speakers suddenly stopped working and will not power on. Have tried different outlets, etc. I just got them In May 2021. Is this common lifespan for Sonos speakers??
