If there’s a Beam , Sub, and A pair of One SLs set up with a tv , can the Ones be removed and then set up as a different room to play the tv sound but not as surrounds? A new cigar shop has these speakers set up and the owner would like to have the Ones play the tv sound but not as surrounds. The Ones are by a different tv then the Beam. Hope this makes sense.
I used to be able to connect to one of my Sonos Bluetooth speakers and then link the rest of them inc non Bluetooth like Sonos 5 through the app to have the full surround experience.Helpful for smaller more niche apps or Bluetooth products like my record player. With the new app update this no longer seems to work.help!
HiWe have installed Nokia Beacon 1 units for our wifi mesh network, and now I cannot configure my Play 1 units.I have tried both with and without cabled network. I managed once to get one unit online with cable, but after I tried to use it on wifi, I have not been able to get it online again.Anyone with experience with Nokia Beacons?
I bought a home where previous owner had sonus system. He took everything but ceiling speakers that aren’t sonus. He said they connected to sonus but the app can’t see them. How do i connect?
Unable to transfer ownership on my play gen 2 any ideas
I’ve bought many thousands of pounds worth of Sonos. The new update must have been written and tested by completely incompetent amateurs.Better companies sort things out when it’s obvious that an update is a complete disaster. Not Sonos apparently. I’m surprised there’s not a class action suit going on. Literally millions and millions of consumers spend turned into junk.own up - you’ve messed it up. Now tell us you’re going to fix it!!
Well, had my workroom dual Sonos ERA 300s set up in stereo pair with sub and all was well. New app was automatically downloaded to my iPhone and lost the system. Nothing recognized. Finally, after trying to reconnect multiple times had to reset all 3 units (2 ERA 300s and Sub Gen 3) to factory defaults. Even then a hell of a time to reconnect. Had to create a new room for them and finally got them paired. Plays through Amazon Music fine. But trying to play iPhone music (Apple) through Bluetooth is no joy. Can pair but shows what appears to be a speaker designation for one of the speakers. And then only plays through one of the speakers and the sub. Will keep playing with it but made me wonder the extent of the issues the recent email from the company apologizing for the new app really are.
In the past I have been using PLEX to run my Music - through the Sonos App - I had many issues with connection but never had any issues with volume. Most of my playlists were downloaded throughout the years from iTunes.I have signed up for Apple Music for convenience and now use Apple Music through the Sonos App to play my Playlists in Era100 Speakers - since I changed to Apple li had to turn down volume to 18 (on PLEX I had them on 32) - some songs are playing extremely loud and others play very quiet - I have been tried the Apple Soundcheck option but on or off does not seem to make a difference. music is played in my business so it extremely annoying having to change volume for every song - anybody had any similar experiences? Any ideas? Solutions? Thank you very much
Hi System is 2 x Play 1 and 2 ceramic 300.When playing a track the music stops and restarts within a few seconds. It does this with every track played and is not intermittent.Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks

Have tried to factory reset play one, can’t get beyond orange flashing light I’m trying to add play one to my network of Sonos products but getting error 1,002 help please
I cannot remove my surrounds, they are Era 100s. I have an Arc , sub gen 3 and era 100s. When I click remove surround I get the message “ there was a problem removing your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on”. they are connected, powered on and working fine, I want to ove them to a different room and try using them as a stereo pair (before potentially buying a new pair (or something else) as surrounds. Makes no sense. I could try a factory reset but I don't want to then find I can't use them at all- not confident - maybe if is to do with the new app?
I have, this week, taken delivery of my first Sonos products. I have an Arc, Sub Gen 3 and 2 x Era 300.Ideally I would like to:stream music to the Era 300 configured as a Stereo Pair Watch Dolby Atmos enabled Blu Rays via the soundbar utilising the Era 300s as my rear surround / Atmos speakers Game in Dolby Atmos in the same configuration as no. 2 aboveAll of this was possible with my previous receiver based system (albeit stereo music was played via my front left and right speakers)Is this achievable without having to ‘remove surrounds’ and re ‘add’ the era 300s as a stereo pair (and vice versa). I have read something about using multiple systems and controllers (presumably another device with the Sonos app installed). Can you please help?CheersJohn
I have two Play 1 speakers, both on the same WiFi network (the only one in my home). One of these speakers is only 15 feet from my router, in the same room. No other WiFi-enabled device anywhere in my house has any trouble staying connected. After operating just fine for several days, one or both speakers will suddenly be “not connected”, per the app on my phone and iPad. This happens with no change in the Wifi or the speakers. The app’s advice is to reboot the speakers. Sometimes this works immediately, and sometimes it take hours or days to take effect. I can only conclude that the Play 1 software is too stupid to detect that it has lost connectivity and to activate the subroutine that reacquires it. There is no reason on this earth that I should need to individually reboot each speaker to reconnect them. When is Sonos going to fix their software?
Are there any updates due on new app as I STILL can’t get a suitable response on playing any music on my S2. Sonos app pre update was great, post update CRAP
I have tried so many ways of getting the app to recognize my existing system and it still does not. I still have 2 Play 1 speakers that will not connect and when they do, a new bogus room is created and the other one is connected but system does not see it. How can I move this speaker from bogus Family Room 2 to Family room, as well as get the other one to be seen? This is the closest I have gotten to having a normal system after the app update! When will SONOS revert back to the old app??? This new one is horrible!!Thank you
Hello! If i pair my Sonos Arc with a One, will the sound still be in dolby atmos (Apple music) in the Arc or not? Thanks in advance for your answers and sorry for my bad english...
I recently purchased a second Sonos 100. When I had one, everything worked fine. Now that I have two, the system is very unstable, needs resetting daily, the reset process is inconsistent and the outcome is variable. The best I can hope for is that I can push directly from Apple Music, but often the two speakers aren’t listed as an option. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, created a new user account, done multiple factory resets. Nothing seems to work. Any stable solutions? I also read on here that you can’t actually set two Sonos products as an integrated system, you need a minimum of three. Is this true? All in all, very disappointing as the sound quality is good but only then the system periodically decides to work.
Will these work with the ERA 300? I need longer cables than the ones included and don’t like using extensions. There is an existing topic (6 years old), tagged as “Answered” but it has not been answered! If Sonos is waiting for technical proposals/advice/solution to start developing this feature, here is my 2 cents that Sonos can either: Enable Sonos speakers to be members of different groups, as well as surround group simultaneously. Make Surround group speakers available to be chosen individually as the streaming speakers (e.g. Airplay) Worst case: add a feature to SONOS app to be able to create different templates/profiles/configs and switch between them. Or at least add a feature to Surround group to be able to adjust volume for each individual speakers and of course a “Reset” button to put it back to what SONOS app thinks is the best setting. Similar to all other scenarios in the link above, I can only stream music to ALL speakers in Surround group or NONE. The pity is, if I am streaming music lets say only from my iPhone, I do not want the ARC to have the same volume as the Era 300s! I
If I have two pairs of speakers can they be controlled separately? will they both have to be on the same source and at the same volume?
Hi have two Sonos Connect units attached to two different hi- fi systems.i would like to buy a Sonos Era100 to connect to my Samsung tv as well as stream music from my hi- fi system .i understand that Sonos S1 is not compatible with Sonos S1 app. Is there a workaround or do I have buy more Sonos stuff ?
Aka daisy chain. Many cheap bluetooth speakers can do this so it would be disappointing if the Roam can't. I do know that two Roams will not do stereo in bluetooth but I can't seem to find anywhere if it even supports two Roams or more in mono. Thanks
Hi Community, after reset of all speakers I brought them in my new guest wifi. The setup said, that it‘s completed but maybe my speakers can‘t be viewed. Then I should go into system setting. There the system constantly looks for my speakes but doesn‘t detect them. Any help?
Just got my first used sub working with used playbar. All was well till i muted the sub in the app with the toggle slider, now it just flashes slow green and i can’t unmute it.I have powered sub off/on, removed it from room, and put it back again, playbar plays success tune but sub still flashing green light. Is this a new app bug?How do you turn sub off when you don’t want it on? mute it? turn it’s volume down? switch its power off? My guess is the app is confused and has lost control of sub mute? When would power off/on the playbar help...
