Hi,I'm currently running a beam+one+one+sub setup, and I feel that the beam is kind of s bottle neck when listening to music.I am now considering to pick up a used playbar and sell the beam (offcourse after some listening and comparing). Any thoughts on this? What are the pro's and con's? One question that I can think of is, will the volume of the playbar be adjusted when I adjust the volume of my TV?And another thing, how long do you think the playbar will be supported in S2? Kind regards
Is there an easy way to use my Sonos One Sls in the kitchen and switch them to play with my Sonos Arc in the lounge after physically moving them back to there previous location and vice versa regularly without having to set up again.
There is another post on the issue discussing upgrading the firmware on the Samsung TV. This did not work for me. My TV is on the latest firmware revision as of October 23rd, 2020 (checked Samsung support website as well). The sound will play for awhile and go out. This never happened before hooking up the Arc. I find that powering the TV off and on again gets me sound for a short time but it randomly will go out again.
How should I go about connecting a phono player to the Playbase with only one optical input? Do I get a DAC and a 2x1 optical switch to plug my TV and phono (from the DAC) into and then send the output of the 2x1 optical switch to my Playbase or am I overthinking this and there’s an easier solution like the Port?
Evening all. Clunky title but would like to optionally have my phone perform normal screen lock security except when I have Sonos open at page and active. Is that possible? Is a pain on a Saturday having to log in every time you think of a great track to add to playlist. Many thanks in advance
So, my Fire HD 8 is apparently too old now for S2. What is the current goto for a cheap device to hand off to visitors or leave on the table for parties?
Hi, Im very new to this. But today I have a Sonos five and two sonos one where I play my media. It’s not set up to the TV.I will buy a Sub as well and the plan was to use this for my media setup but also for TV.I will buy an arc for my TV. How can I manage so that the sub will be active for my arc when I watch TV but for my media when I play music? Will this be possible in an easy way or will it be lots of settings every time I start watching TV?
My setup:Arc Sub (gen 3)2 x one SL’s With a true play on. The right surround is much louder than the left. True playoff. Balanced sound. Swapped one SL's around and also done true play tuning at least 8 times. Regardless of this, it’s still the same!!! Surrounds are in a square room, symmetrical and equidistant to seating location with no obstructions! Sonos customer support doesn’t seem to know? Anyone else?
Upgraded my Sonos Controller on Win 10 OS to the new S2 app but now neither open when selected?? Have tried to uninstall both 3 times and re-install and repair the S2 app on Windows. The app still fails to open when selected. Becoming more and more unhappy with Sonos, since they removed the option to play music direct from my phone… Now the windows controller doesnt work! Any help, apart from changing hardware brand at this time, would be appreciated.
I have a 1st generation sonos one.I am thinking of buying a sonos beam, sonos sub and another sonos one to have 5.0 surround sound. Will a generation 2 sonos one work with generation 1?Thank you
Hello,I had a playbar, several ones, a sub and a ZP100. All running via S1 app. Just purchased an arc, which required move to S2. The ZP100, as expected, is dropped from the S2 system. The ZP100 is also dropped from my system list shown against online account. The problem is that I would like to (a) continue to use the ZP100 and/or (b) claim the trade up discount. Wrt (a) ive reset S1 app which allows option to creating a new system, despite many attempts including factory reset ZP100, the s1 app doesn’t find it - any ideas? Btw, ZP100 had latest firmware, ethernet cable connected, has white / orange flashing status light on power up for a few seconds, then moves to flashing green mute button. Wrt (b) it appears that to claim online the trade up discount, your product must appear in your system list, which it doesn't. Im guessing that solving (a) above would solve this too? any help really appreciated. thanks.
Following the latest Sonos update, my Playbase no longer appears on my Sonos system through WIFI. All other speakers on my system appear and work like before. The playbase has been moved around to try and fix the issue but this has not helped. I,ve rebooted and actually set a factory default on the Playbase. The Playbase appears on the Sonos system when it is hardwired with an ethernet cable and works as it should. When I unplugged the cable the Playbase disappear s from my system, plug it back in and it reappears. I need help in solving this new issue. Thx
I have a 1st generation sonos one.I am thinking of buying a beam, sonos sub and another sonos one to have 5.0 surround sound. Will a generation 2 sonos one work with generation 1?Thank you
Hello, I have a pair of sonos one speakers, second generation. Would I be able to connect a turntable to them with a sonos connect? Thanks,Brian
I have an old Sonos system that is not compatible with Sonos 2 & the new products. I run the Sonos 1 app on my Windows 10 computer and iPHone.I keep getting app update pop-ups on my Win10 computer (I currently have version 11 on my win10 Sonos 1 app).Is the latest update applicable to the Win10 Sonos 1 app? Or does it apply to just the Sonos 2 app? Or does it apply to both Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 apps?I don’t want to update and find that Sonos 1 is replaced with Sonos 2 and will not operate all my old Sonos speakers.
Hi, I have a problem. All 5.1 material from Netflix and other services is being “downgraded” to Dolby 2.0 in Arc. Dolby Atmos material is playing perfectly. My setup is: Apple TV → LG B9 → Sonos Arc. The funky thing is, when I use the apps installed on LG (Netflix, even the Apple TV app) I get Dolby Digital 5.1 exactly as I should. Is this an Apple TV 4K problem? I do have fables that should workshop with 8K, so it’s not a cable problem. Does anybody Else have the same problem? Peter
HiThis is driving me a bit crazy. I have a Rega TT, through a Rega pre-amp, through to Amp. All music services work fine, except TT. It only plays through one speaker in Stereo, but through both in Dual Mono. Have checked all connections, all fine. Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help! mark
I’ve been having problems with my subwoofer since I first set it up. When I initially set it up, it said it was connected but didn’t make any sound. I had to reconnect it twice and do a factory reset before it started working. Now it randomly will disappear from my devices. Sometimes it shows up as Arc (+?) but this last time it just totally dropped off the app.How do I fix this problem? Its becoming really irritating especially since I have to Trueplay my living room every time this happens.
BuongiornoNella mia sala Cinema ho 1 Playbase 1 Sub e 2 Play 1. A Marzo cambierò casa ed avrò una sala più grande (80Mq). Aggiungendo al Soffitto la Coppia Speakers In-Ceiling riesco ad avere un surround 7.1?Grazie mille
Hi, I am interested in buying a Sonos system for the 16 hardwired speakers in the ceilings of my house. They are in 5 different areas. (4 outdoor on my Deck, 4 in Living room & kitchen, 4 in upstairs rumpus room, 2 in study & 2 in main bedroom). I want to be able to play music in all rooms at once and also to just play it in certain areas while other rooms stay quiet. I am just wondering is it possible to connect all these? And what Sonos hardware do i need to buy if so? Cheers Ben
I’ve got a Sonos Arc paired with a Connect:Amp and I’m experiencing issues while watching Atmos content on Netflix via my Apple TV 4k.The audio has weird issues where the output of the Arc intermittently gets very quiet or cuts out completely and when that happens the output from the rear speakers powered by the Connect:Amp get’s much louder. I’d specifically say that the audio never fully cuts out, just seems to be some communication issue between the Arc and Connect:Amp. The Arc and Connect:Amp are both wired on the same UniFi switch. LG B8 Oled with Apple TV 4K Sonos Arc connected via ARC - wired Sonos Connect:Amp as LS+RS - wired Sonos Sub (wireless) Support diagnostics confirmation: 122881592
Anyone experience with using a network cable for a Sonos One put on a Sonos Shelf? There doesn’t seem to be much space for a cable to go in and not bend the cable (bad for performance) as the space between the shelf and wall is so limited…Was thinking of a flexible ethernet cable, but even these connector are rather big...
I have a Sonos SL and a new Beam in adjoining rooms. The Beam is connected to a TV via audio return channel. In the app, I group the Beam with the SL, and for the Beam I enable TV Autoplay, and enable Ungroup on AutoPlay.I turn on the TV, but the Beam does not Ungroup. I’ve powered off and on the Beam and SL - no change. How can I fix?(If helpful, diagnostics 197345318)
