I’ve heard it recommended (and understand the reasoning) that the Arc should be placed on the edge of a cabinet/stand so that the full range offorward facing speakers won’t be partially blocked/reflect up, but I was wondering how noticeable of an impact that really has? My TV is over a mantel and the Arc will fit nicely up there, but my wife isn’t wild about it being on the edge. For visual appeal it would look best in a position that is probably 3-4” back from the ledge of the mantel. Just wondering if it’ll distort the sound to the point it’s not worth the money for the Arc to have it sit back a bit--or is it not that big of a deal in the scheme of things? Your thoughts/perspective are greatly appreciated! (FYI As far as the up firing speakers, these will regardless of position be plenty out from the TV—so that’s good for the Atmos.)
I’m using Youtube Music as my music provider. When I use the search functionality in the Sonos app I want to be able to start a radio from a given song in the song results. Currently I don’t have a way to do this and forces me to rely on playlists (I don’t do playlists, I want fully automated playlists based on my musical tastes and the song I’m asking to play) or cast from Google Play Music.
Hi,I’ve updated my controller today, now my Sonos Radio isn’t working and won’t reauthorise, Any ideas what I can do??? I’ve rebooted my PC and thats not worked…..
I've just bought a sony bravia kd55xh8096bu 55" TV. The remote is using Bluetooth and the playbar uses Ir. If i turn off the Bluetooth on the TV the remote will pair but then I can't use all the features of the remote like Google voice. Anyone found a way round this. So far the only option I can find is to buy the new ARC speaker at £799.Cheers in advance.

Since receiving update from Oneplus on an Oneplus Nord this morning (10.5.7.AC01BA) the app won’t display the controls in the notifications area; notifications are “on” both in android settings and sonos app. Found people with same problem on different Oneplus devices here => https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/issues-with-new-sonos-s2-app-on-7t-pro.1237688/
Hello,Now that we are being forced by Google to switch from Google Play Music to YouTube Music, I noticed the following permissions requirements when linking YTM to Sonos:View and manage your videos and playlists View and manage your YouTube activity, including posting public comments.Questions: What exactly does Sonos do in terms of retaining my YTM playlist data? Is this sent back to the mothership and analyzed? I’m asking because I have many video playlists in YouTube that have nothing to do with music, but I actually consider them somewhat personal and sensitive.* Why the heck is Sonos asking to post public comments under my name, and to ‘manage’ my activity? What do they actually do? This permission seems to be very excessive and unrelated to the function of playing music. What do they do with this ability? Has Sonos ever ‘managed’ someone’s account or posted comments under their name?Thank you for reading. * Note: I am fully aware that Google is an advertising company and they pr
Hi, every time I try to play something it says connection to Mixcloud lost. Can’t seem get Soundcloud to play anything now. Sonos system then selects its own music which continues to loop in connection lost. When it eventually plays a mix it will last for about an hour and then just switch to something else. (2 x Play 1, play 3 and bridge).

Hi all, I am trying to grab my free trial of Sonos Radio HD and my postcode doesnt seem to be recognised. I have tried inputting it with no space and with a space in between the first three characters and second three characters but nothing seems to work. The fact it is referring to it as a ZIP code suggests to me it is looking for a US format postcode. Wither way I cannot claim my free trial currently. Any advice on how to fix?
In my living room i use a Beam and two One SL’s for the TV and to hear radio and streamed music. This works great. But i need an additional speaker for a part of the room, thats not in the center. It works, to create an new room “living_2” with this additional speaker and to combine the two living rooms. But the volume of the TV-sound is managed by the remote control of the TV that is received by the Beam. But this signal has influence only to the original living room, not to living_2. Thats my problem. Has anyone any idea?
I have a sonos arc, sub gen 3 & 2 sonos 5’s as surrounds. My Sony KD-75X8500C does not support atmos. What are my options to get atmos going?

Sonos 2 app (android) is requesting an update for components (Boost+Speakers). Push update button and it takes me to Google Play store, I open the app and it takes me back to the update button! It is stuck in a loop, assume I will have to delete app and reinstall?Dave
I am considering purchasing the Sonos Arc and am researching how to mount it to the TV not the wall since I am in a Condo and mounting the TV to a cement pole. I can’t use the wall mount in the cement, of course. Can the sonos wall mount be used to attach the Sonos Arc to the TV and let it articulate? There are some 3rd parties products that can do this, but I understand there is a “magnetic” connection between the wall mount and the device & TV that provide full feature of the Sonos. Any suggestions or recommendations?
I have a system that should be fully compliant with S1, nothing is older than May 2020. Yet when I start the S1 client it tries to force me to download S2. I do not want to change, I can't believe the issues I'm seeing and basically nothing could force me to do that until they are solved. Why am I being forced to change, when none of my devices are even from 2020? How can I keep using S1?
I am looking at Sonos speakers. The Web site lists numerous music services that play via Sonos speakers. I current am in trials at Amazon HD and Apple Music. I have not been able to ‘get’ whether music on Sonos must stream from my iphone to the speaker or if my phone (or voice commands) simply tell the speaker to stream directly from the music service. Can someone enlighten me?
I have a Samsung Serif tv, the Sonos Beam started dropping out and the first sign of a problem was tv volume control did not work with Netflix. Now the Beam does not work with the tv at all, all volume is coming out of the TV audio. The Beam does work if streaming music, but not with the TV. I have it connected with a HDMI cable. Any suggestions?
Any body seen this for work around to get Sonos arc to work fully ?
