I am planning to use an Amp for surround with an Arc. Can the Amp automatically switch to stereo mode if I use it to stream music? Thanks.
Move is a great product, but in a connected home, you typically do not have one point of access regarding Wi-fi. This is all good, because Move works fine when you move it from one place to another in and around your home. But: Having more than one access point, such as range or mesh extenders, messes up things when you would like to use the Move as an extra speaker in your Sonos setup. The Sonos app warns you that if you want to group your Move together with other speakers when playing, trouble could ensue. This is because Move do not support SonosNet. So this means that your “static” Sonos setup is “driving” in a different “lane”, apart from the Move. And this shows. I have had plenty of connection issues in that regard. Now, what I would really like is for having the option for Move to join your SonosNet, either when it can detect the signal properly, then switching to “regular” Wi-Fi if it detects a weak signal, and/or being able to have it play on SonosNet when, docked. Just to make
Is there any way to use or add AccuRadio as a Sonos alarm, for example? My Sonos alarm choices only show a few station choices and no way that I can see to add my own preferred stations. Thanks
Hi all hope everyone is well…...where i live ALBERTA , CANADA by CALGARY its impossible to find and get hold of the ARC soundbar...Anyone else having the same issue...just curiouscheers all
It’ll be great to have -/+ volume control within the Sonos app.By that I mean a minus (-) and a plus (+) next to or around the volume slider. I know the hardware buttons on my device can offer this, though, for accessibility something within the Sonos app software will also be useful.
Hi , I’m going to buy a Sonos system and I’ undecided whether to pair Beam sound bar with Sub or with a couple of One’s.My room is not so big (20mq) , usually I watch movie and listen music and I will install SUB or ONE near to Bean. I have had the opportunity to listen the ARC with a Sub and it’s impressive, but I think that is to much for my room and my budget. any similar experience or suggestions?
TV zone Playbar + Sub + AMP (LR + RR) sometimes stop music then continues for ~10 s All devices connected directly to root switch by cable. RSTP configured on switch. All AMPs stays in rack. Playbar + Sub in TV room. Internet connection is fast and reliable. All other zones (AMPs) works fine. Only happens when playing streaming services like Apple Music or TuneIn. Never on TV optical connection. Have tried full reset, depair AMP (LR + RR), switch Playbar with another (original Playbar working fine in another location now), disable RSTP completely. No effect. Can provide video when this happens (nothing interesting, audio stops then continues). Diagnostic report 1933998374. Maybe related, dont know: Playbar sends to Sub and AMP (LR + RR) “/ZoneGroupTopology/Control” and receive “Internal Server Error UPnP error 800”. See in packet sniffer.
Hello, I’m trying to figure out if my Sony TV KDXE7096 (2017 model with HDMI ARC) is able to pass-through Dolby Digital Plus signal from Apple TV 4k. The manual says exactly the following “Dolby Digital Plus Out: Select [Auto] to pass through Dolby Digital Plus stream to ARC when Dolby Digital Plus is available through connected Audio System.” Has anyone tested on a similar TV and what are the results? Is lossy Atmos format in Dolby Digital Plus available? What about Netflix Tvs native app? Does it work with DD+ atmos? I haven't purchased the arc soundbar yet but I want to make sure that’s worth the investment. Thanks
Hi all…..I have a bunch of Play 1’s… what do I need to make them compatible with the latest features? I’ve heard that a new version Sonos will link to them and all new features will work via the new speaker. Is that true?
Hi, Im planning on setting up a sort of home theatre in my living room, without it dominating the whole room. Plan is to have a motorized screen mounted to the beam going across the middle of the room (see picture), so that is not very visible while not in use.Since the scrren will be in the middle of the room, there will not be a wall or any furniture to place a sound bar or audio system. Any speakers / sound system would have to be mounted on the same beam, or in the ceiling. What do you guys think would be a good setup for this? I havent used Sonos systems before, so not familiar with the different products and wheter og not they work well together. We dont want the system to dominate the living room while not in use, so my thought is two smaller speakers on each side of the projection screen. - Can i use two “ONE SL" speakers and have them work together to provide stereo sound? - Would it be better getting a soundbar and mounting it in the roof or above the screen? (Will probably n
I have a beam that recently started making a random tone sort of like a fast paced door bell. It's been going on for weeks and seems to be getting more frequent. It happens when e-arc is on or off, while play tv through cable, netflix, and Amazon. Support diagnostic # 668266901Thanks for any help!
My directv remote will not control my Sonis Arc
I’m in the strange situation I have bought some Sonos equipment and not yet hooked it up. I have two Sonos 1 speakers - 1 with mic, 1 without - and the cheaper soundbar. The playbar was just too expensive and sounded like more than I need, I have a modest living room I’d guess is 200-250 square feet. Now the playbar is on sale for a more affordable $500, and I’m wondering, would it be worth considering buying that and selling the cheaper one?
Does the Arc accept regular HDMI inputs for audio or does it need and HDMI-ARC output? I ask because my TV does not support DD+ but my streaming device does. Wanted to put a Matrix/Splitter in place to duplicate the audio to get full DD+ on the Sonos Arc
I have a new Sonos One and Arc. I noticed that when I am watching TV, particularly a show I have recorded, that the timing of the sound is off slightly, meaning their lips are moving but the talking sound coming out of the Song is off. This doesn't seem to happen if I am watching Netflix, only my TV.
I currently have a SONOS Connect and 2 SONOS ONES that I run on my SONOS S1 APP (along with an old wired system). Can I add a SONOS Move to the SONOS S1 APP?
Hello!I’ve just installed and configured the outdoor speakers by sonance. I’ve followed the instructions to unlock the enhance audio adjustments but I don’t see them anywhere in the App.How can I see them? thanks in advanced
Does the upgrade still brick the old product or did Sonos stop doing this and let the old product still work? I thought they had allowed the old one to keep going but cant find any confirmation of this?If it is bricked, at what point does this happen?I have selected one of my products to upgrade and don’t want to now. I want to cancel this. Does any one know how to cancel the upgrade process?ThanksKeith.
Hi, My Sonos2 app shows that my line-in is disconnected. I am not able to play vinyl though I do have a Sonos recommended preamp turntable. I have tried ALL the methods described on the Sonos website, and I mean all, to resolve the problem but to no avail. My Sonos2 app cannot find my Connect even though it is registered with Sonos and shows in their list of the Sonos products I own. Any one been in a similar situation and have resolved the problem?
I would like to create a stereo pair with Sonos One Gen2 andanother Sonos One Gen2 Sonos One SLWhat do you think, witch option is better? I think 1 Assistant in a room is enough, but for the future, isn't the One SL a disadvantage against better equipped /memory, cpu/ Gen2?
I sometimes receive the message ‘Unable to browse music’ . I sometimes receive the message ‘Unable to add tracks to queue’. In each case I have no idea why this would be. With some albums, tracks, folders it works, with others it doesn’t. there is no obvious reason. It is frustrating but, more importantly, for SONOS, has discouraged my friends from investing and discouraged me from buying any more SONOS products Is there any way to contact SONOS, share my desktop and try to work it out?
I have a Samsung Series 7 Smart TV + Apple TV + Sonos Beam setup. The sound is great, but when I would like to control my volume. On my apple tv remote it wont show anything , and on my samsung tv remote it only shows + or -, how do i get my volume number indicator back. As we use them as reference to how loud I can have my TV on without disturbing others at night.
Hi, I see that the beam is £100 off for a few days, can i use my Upgrade credit on the offer price?
I am looking to get a full surround setup using Sonos Arc as the main piece. My house has speaker wire plumbed through the walls from a previous owner. So I am trying to decide what the best approach for full surround. The cleanest and easiest approach is probably be to use 3rd party rears and an Amp with the sub and Arc. Using OneSLs would require adding power outlets to the location. However I am worried that going with this approach will be sub par as the rears can't be used with True play and be tuned (I do not want in wall speakers). My question is which is the preferred approach, Amp to rears? How do you calibrate the sound? Or add power outlets to the area and go with the standard approach.
I can still keep my system S1 as long as I need to. So, why wouldn’t everyone do it while it last?
