Hello everyone, I have 30ft long by 15ft wide living room and I’m looking at adding an Arc, subwoofer and 2- One SL’s. The couch is about 12 feet from the tv/Arc, but the rear speakers will be 17 feet from the backs of the couch. Will the One SL’s be powerful enough to fill in the sound or do I need to step it up to 1 or 2 Fives? with the size of the room will I have any latency issues with the sound being that spaced out? any suggestions would be great. Thanks everyone
I’d like to buy a new TV and a Sonos Arc, but will need to use them on top of a media cabinet, as wall mounting isn’t an option. However, the Arc is 3.4” tall, and the TV I want only has a 1.8” clearance between the bottom of the screen and the object on which it sits which means that the Arc cannot simply sit in front of the TV.Bluesound has the type of stand that I want, but it appears that Sonos does not. Does anybody know of a solution for this?Thanks!https://www.bluesound.com/products/ts100-soundbar-stand/
Hello Everyone,Just an idea for the menu My Sonos, I find that the different icons are a little sad in grey colour.Sonos has (I think) the possibility to modify this menu with more colours or the album cover sleeves by example.Kind regards.
Michell Gyrodec and New Sonos 125 amp . Partnership made in heaven. Anyone else done this or am I the first ?
Require a Pseudo Sound Sound function on the Sonos App to be able to hear Mono or non 5.1 formatted Movies I have a complete Sonos Dobly atmos system , Sonos Arc+ Sub Gen 3, 2 x Sonos One for the rear . Howere we cannot enjoy sound on the rear sonos speakers when whatting a Mono movie or a non 5.1 TV transmission content.Would appreciate to see this function added on and from the “Sound”> “ Sorround Audio” to add > “ Psuedo Souround” I am sure this can be easily developed and implemented on the next Sonos S2 software/firmware update. Please let me know if this will be available , Appriciate, Thanks, Matt
Just purchased two items to start my Sonos journey, a Boost and one OneSL.Setting up (as a SonosNet) was straightforward – the information on the Sonos Support pages was most helpful and the technical answers to some questions in the Community were very informative. Today I’ve been able to link in my Brennan B2 and the whole system works like a dream – being able to choose music at one end of the house from the source at the other is superb! So to my query...Is there a way to mute the ‘beep’ every time you touch the volume control or play/pause on the OneSL? I just find it an annoyance, and unnecessary – the change in volume or start/stop playing is sufficient confirmation of the touch. Many thanks for any advice that can be given.
hello, i would like to have Yandex Music (Яндекс.Музыка) on my Sonos, like many other people: https://en.community.sonos.com/music-services-and-sources-228994/yandex-music-yandeks-muzyka-6235898
Hey all,I have a U-Orbit turntable with a built in Pre amp. I’ve been using them with AudioEngine HD3 speakers and have loved them for my smaller sized office.I’m moving my setup to a larger room and was thinking of purchasing the Sonos Port to connect the HD3 speakers to my Sonos Play 3 speaker.Has anyone done anything similar? Would there be a noticeable difference to connect all three speakers rather than going for either the Audioengines or Sonos by themselves? Thanks
I know a lot of people have asked about sorting playlists in an order for which you do not get a field. However, in “Your Library”… Albums, my saved music, you have the artist name and album name yet that list is sorted by the order in which I added them to the library. That makes it so impossible to find that I end up having to just search which gets tedious. Can there be a sort option like “title” or “Artist” such that I can browse that list in an easier fashion? I assume you can sort after you get the data from Spotify on data fields that are visible in the list?
Does this seem acceptable for a refurbished product?
Hi All,I just found the following closed topic where 2 Sonos users report DTS support using the Sony UBP-X800M2.The topic:Because the topic is closed I am opening a new discussion. → Lets keep it focused so it won't get closed again. It seems that the 2 users have working DTS to dd5.1 when connecting to the same generation Sony TV’s.It would be great if we could find some more users with experience with the Sony UBP-X800M2.For some users it would be a dream come true if there was a 4k HDR player that can give us surround sounds on our Sonos home theatre setups.Xbox and PS5 do support on the fly conversion but the noise the drives make when playing UHD is not acceptable for a lot of users. → so lets skip suggesting those in this topic.
Hi,I ordered a Sonos Sub last Thursday morning using 2 day shipping to the UK. It was apparently handed to DHL on Friday to be delivered yesterday (Tuesday), however there has been no movement since it was handed over to DHL on Friday. There is a tracking number, but no updates on progress whatsoever - it only was accepted and passed customs in Netherlands. I called Sonos support agents twice (up in Scotland) and could not get much more information - e.g. there is adverse weather in Europe, but no information on when it may arrive. It’s now been 4 days and its a bit unsettling to be fair - the Sonos agent does at least seem concerned that its delayed or no update on when it will be delivered. I asked him if he spoke with DHL to understand the delays and revised dates, he said he never speaks to DHL. DHL is not contactable (I can’t get to a human) so no informationI’ve had thousands of parcels delivered in the last year so, from various shippers and geographies and almost always had some
I would like to be able to listen to Radiooooo.com (also an iOS app) on Sonos. Is there any way to suggest radio streams to Sonos? This one would be a little involved than a simple internet radio stream since the app lets you choose a country and a decade and streams commercial-free music from there. How ‘bout it Sonos?
Would a Sub in an apartment be too much for my neighbours? I live in an 840 sq.ft. concrete high rise. My living room is on the outside corner, so I don't think adjoining suites on my floor will hear my music/tv viewing, however I am a bit concerned about the people below me. Any advice?
Hi,I’m looking for a Full Motion TV wall mount that includes an Arc soundbar mount. Thanks.Tim
Sonos app showing no “ arc, rear speakers or sub setup,it is showing bedroom set up,When watching tv sound from the arc is ok,but sound from rear speakers playing background music nothing to do with tv program
I ordered a Sonos Arc on the 4th of January, at that time the shipping date was given as 29th of January. I then received an email on the 27th of Jan saying my shipping date was delayed until the 5th of February. I have now received a further email saying shipping is now delayed until the 12th of February. Is this the norm with Sonos are there others out there eagerly awaiting delivery of their Sonos system and the delivery date being pushed back time after time. Is this just a problem with Arc orders. What is the normal waiting time for Sonos deliveries.
Hi,Firstly, I'd like to say I love my sonos system. I consider my self a sonos super user, I funnel thousands of tracks through the app on my phone. I have soundcloud, bandcamp, Spotify, mixcloud, multiple computers running as servers, I even have access to a few of my mates soundcloud and bandcamp accounts aswell. The app is great but there are improvements that need to be made/fixed. I searched on other threads but couldn't find the same issues that I'm having. My issues are more to do with the layout and ease of playing music and nothing to do with system connectivity. Miss hitting buttons, slides, volumes etc. First - On the music playing screen :1 - the slider for skipping through the track is to small, countless times I've gone to slide forward through a track and accidentally hit the title of the track bringing up the menu for that particular track (ie like, dislike, playlist selection). There's a lot of real estate on the screen maybe make cover pic smaller or move slider. 2 -
HiI have mobile wifi, a beam and 2 x S1 for internal sound - the boat also has several built in ceiling / wall speakers throughout - maybe 12 speakers all connected to various Fusion head units - am i right in believing that i can connect these speakers / head units to the same sonos set up as the 3 stand alone speakers either using a ‘Sonos Port’ or ‘Sonos Amp’?Would I need both, one or not possible?TIA
I’m interested in upgrading my home theatre audio setup and am very interested in Sonos Arc, but after much reading online I can’t tell if it’ll work and support Dolby Atmos with my specific TV over HDMI ARC (no eARC). Has anyone had success using Samsung Frame (2019) with Sonos Arc and getting Dolby Atmos sound output?I only really care whether it will work in in a few cases:Streaming apps (Netflix / HBO Max, as they do over Dolby Digital Plus) Gaming on Xbox One XI found this review that says:Dolby Atmos is available over HDMI ARC through Dolby Digital Plus, so Netflix Atmos will work properlyhttps://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2019 From what I’ve read, Dolby Digital Plus produces a compressed version Dolby Atmos, but :shrug:https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/dolby-atmos-sound/Dolby Digital Plus is a lossy, lower-bandwidth format that has been optimized for use with streaming services and features like B-D Live. It’s currently supported by a wide range of devi
Has Sonos STILL not permitted Harmony Hub or other third party controllers to select Line-In as source on Connect or other Sonos devices with a line-in? This would make a world of difference in making my Connect, Play:5 and Amp useful! Please make this happen soon Sonos
Hey there! I’ve been loving my Sonos speakers, but sometimes I just want a single speaker playing music quietly. For example, as I sit on my couch writing this post, the left rear speaker in my 5.0 setup is closest to my head. I would like to be able to temporarily play music from only that speaker rather than fill the room. Thanks for your consideration! Cheers.
Why must Sonos HD radio have to interrupt (at very high volume) your HD Radio Stream and obnoxiously tell you what station you were listening to? This is the MAIN reason I cancelled the service.
In a car stereo, you have the ability to place the sound front to back with a simple slider for where you want the sound centered. I’ve always hated FRONT/CENTER as the only vocal channel available. It’s not immersive. My car is set to deliver sound at the driver’s head as the balance front to back. On my Onkyo system, I’ve hooked up a shared channel for the center speaker, so a front center speaker, and a rear center speaker, and I can place the vocal channel front to back at any point in the room just by adjusting the ratio of volume delivered to each center speaker. Usually it’s 20-30% at the back, and 70-80% from the front. It creates an immersive surround sound just on the vocal channel, and it’s far better to listen to then front only vocals. It also means that the entire volume of a system doesnt need to be played loud, since the goal is clarity, not volume.I’m using the Arc, SL+, and Sub, and I think this would be a very simple modification that could be implemented to delive
Hi, I’m trying to run the trueplay optimisation but when the noise test starts at the very beginning it seems it never ends. Attached the screenshot.
