I have a Playbar, a Play 5, and a Play 3. I also have a record player with a receiver and two speakers that I need to replace. I'm debating either (1) buying a Connect Amp and a pair of nice ($300 range) bookshelf speakers; or (2) buying a Connect Amp and two Play 1s. Goal is to be able to play records throughout the house as well as my digital music and sound from the TV (Playbar and bookshelf/two Play 1s would be in the same room). Thoughts on whether it's better to go with bookshelf speakers or two Play 1s to achieve this goal?

Can I use a Sonos Playbar on a pc with the optical cable if I convert it to a aux cable, and get all the sound from Netflix or something like that?

I've been having drop out and system recognition issues with my Sonos set up (5xPlay:1, 2xPlay:3 and 1xConnect) and am now purchasing a Boost to (hopefully) rectify these issues. However, being a public house (tavern) I am concerned that anyone with a Sonos app will be able to access the system. Is this the case, or can I password protect the SonosNet?

Hi, I haven't seen this question answered. I have a large room, 20x25, with a high ceiling. I am wondering if I should go with a stereo pair of play 1s and a stereo pair of play 3s, or a stereo pair of play 1s and a subwoofer. I am using air miles to get them and Play 5s are not an option, nor is a pair of 3s and a subwoofer (beyond my miles). I know the play 1s with a subwoofer will be better for bass, but I'm concerned that they won't be enough to fill the space. I'm thinking the two pairs of 1s and 3s will better fill the space. Is this correct?

My Play 5 has completely stopped working. I've tried a different power lead and outlet and no luck. It's first gen but I've not had it that long, since April 2016. How do I go about getting it replaced (hopefully) or fixed? Thanks.

Site: 3 level (basement, main floor, upstairs) home. 7k sq ft. Lot size about a half acre (want coverage for my lot/yard as well). Requirement 1 - Great sound quality in major entertaining areas, all bedrooms, and the backyard grilling terrace, and dining courtyard. Requirement 2 - so easy my kids can use it. Requirement 3 - easy for guests to connect and stream their own music My wifi will be robust inside and outside via a Ubiquiti Networks design being implemented. I can use that same WIFI network (separate VLAN?) for Sonos or can even do hardwired since the framing has just begun on the house. There's a comms closet in the basement. Dear Sonos Hive Mind. My extensive music library is on an external Lacie hard drive which is attached to my Apple Time Capsule. This used to mean that I could access this library from any of my devices on my home network. However, I cannot work out how to get Sonos system to access this library. Please can someone help me work out what the file location address is that I need to put into Sonos? The info for my music library folder shows: afp://JKT's AirPort Time Capsule._afpovertcp._tcp.local/LaCie/iTunes but this address isn't acceptable to Sonos.

I have a "technics SL 1700" turntable which I will connect to an amp (not moving the amp cross country as it isn't worth it.) Advice on connecting to Sonos system. (I already have sonos 1 up and running for digital media)

I have 1 x CR100 and 3 x ZP100. 2 x ZP100 are connected via WM:0 and 1 is wireless. They all show as WM:0 on diag. I did a factory reset on my CR100 and tried to connect it to both of the wired ZP100s. When I press the Mute/Vol+ on the ZP100 the controller shows connecting but after a few minutes it says: "This controller was unable to connect to a Sonos component. Please try again. (1)" I know it sees the system because it shows waiting for mute/vol+ and when I press it on the ZP100 it switches to connecting. It just wont connect. Will a new Sony TV analog audio output work with my play 5 ?

I have five SONOS devices: 2 Play:5 , 2 Connect, 1 Amp All are currently wired. I am moving in a while and the new place does not have cabling to the new speaker locations. I want to change the wired devices to wireless on the same router. Is it as simple as removing the Ethernet cables from four devices and turning on the wireless (enter the connection information) and then removing the one Ethernet connection, and reboot the other SONOS devices and then all the devices will be wireless? Can two be wired and the rest be wireless? I look forward to your support Andy :D

I have 4 play1s and a PLAYBAR. Play1 in the kitchen. Play1 in the entryway. Pair of play1s in the bedroom and a PLAYBAR in the great room connected to the tv. I have been wanting a play5 since I heard the sound. Amazing. I was thinking to put a play5 in the bedroom and move the stereo set of play1s to the great room to do a 5.0 surround set up. It's not a huge bedroom but it isn't small. Will I miss the stereo separation? Now I see the sub is on sale. It had me thinking I could add a sub to the PLAYBAR and keep the 1s in the bedroom. I can't afford both at the moment. I have been very happy with just the PLAYBAR in the great room. I was never interested in the sub but I keep reading on this sub (lol) how amazing it is. I live in an older apartment building and am worried to disturb the neighbors. So there is that issue to consider. Is the PLAYBAR/sub better than the PLAYBAR/1s (3.1>5.0)? Hi! We are so stoked to find the Sonos under the Christmas tree! After we've done the set up, can we move a speaker from room to room? We have a Play 3 which will stay where it is, but we're wondering if we can move the Play 1's at will.

Hi sonos. Ever since the last update to 7.4, Dolby 5.1 isn't supported. Works fine in stereo, but Netflix programs often default to 5.1, which means I have to power cycle my Sony android tv to stop the whole system being locked into silence. I've ran a diagnostic, 7791026. Is there a new update out yet or can you send the beta update please?

I use Sonos Connect and Sonos 5 speakers, Sonos 1's and I leverage the Dezzer music service which is all about uncompressed music. I found this setting in Advanced configuration on my sonos desktop app and was wondering if anyone could give me insights on this setting, what works best and if it would benfit a music service such as Deezer?

Il love my sonos playbar and my LG.OLED tv ( I submitted my audio diagnostics 7784318). They are connected via optical cable and work spectacularly. However, I get 1-2 seconds of audio dropout every 5 minutes or so. I can live with it, but annoying. Is there a fix?

Hi all, I'm new so go gentle! I was given a play:3 as a present for xmas. Loved the sound so much today I bought a sub and another play:3 both arrive tomorrow. My plan is to use it for mostly music but I would love to be able to use the set up through my Sony Bravia tv. Is there anyway I can connect it or am I going to be disappointed? I've read people saying that only a 5 has the input etc so I'm fully aware. I just hoped I could use it for watching tv also. Thanks in advance! Samzie

Hi all, I'm quite new to the audio world and I'm looking for some advice. I have the Sonos Connect Amp with a pair of Bose 151SE outdoor speakers. I've been trying to research an outdoor subwoofer to connect up to the system but I'm having trouble finding one that would work well with the Bose and/or be supported by the Amp. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not sure about the power requires and overloading. I know from the specs that the Connect Amp has 55watts per channel. Does this include the RCA sub output?
