I want to buy a pair of Sonos 1 speakers and have read that they can be used as “a pair as rear home cinema surrounds with Playbar, Playbase, or Beam”I’ve just bought a Samsung Q60T smart TV together with a Q60T 360W 5.1 Channel Soundbar. The Soundar is connected to the TV from a ‘HDMI to TV’ port and the Sub woofer is connected by bluetooth. The Soundbar also has another HDMI port and a USB and Optical-in ports.I don’t have a Playbar, Playbase, or Beam and I wondered whether I would be able to use the Sonos 1 speakers at the same time (ie as rear speakers) as the Samsung Soundbar?The TV can output sound to external bluetooth speakers but I’m not sure if it will output to wi-fi speakers and if it does, I wouldn’t think it would be possible at the same time as the Soundbar because the Soundbar is an option on it’s own.Is there a way to connect Sonos 1 to the Samsung Soundbar? Thanks,Dave (aka Grandad)  

My Sonos 5 still plays radio OK. But when I select a music track or an album from my PC, Sonos now just plays the first few seconds of a track, pauses for a few seconds, then plays a few seconds of the next track. And on and on….  All was ok until a few days ago!Can anyone help?

I just purchased a sonos beam and i’m setting it up. I have it configured with alexa and it plays by voice control with no issue. When trying to play a station from the amazon alexa app, it fails. Sometimes the beam says “i’m having trouble playing music,” and other times the app says “this play queue has timed out.” I have uninstalled and reinstalled the alexa app to see if that helped but no dice. The app does not present the same error when playing to other devices in the house Has anyone experienced this issue? I’m curious if this is supposed to work from the alexa app because I would love to be able to have the music play on the beam and my echo dots simultaneously throughout the house   

I placed an order for Sonos One, Beam, Move on Nov 24, 2020. Today (Nov 30, 2020) morning, Sonos dropped the price of One from C$ 249 to C$179 (perhaps for Cyber Monday, or maybe not...). My Sonos One got shipped on Nov 26th and delivered today. Obviously, I don’t want to pay $70 more for a product that I barely just purchased and is available everywhere (Sonos website, Amazon, BestBuy, etc.) at a cheaper price. I want to understand from other experienced users in the community as to what my options are at this point? Does/will Sonos match the price on my order to their own website’s (new/dropped) price and issue me a refund equal to the price difference? I was on the Chat with a support person this morning and they said they’ve sent my request for a price difference refund to the fulfillment team, with a Case#. I think the person hinted that this is possible and will be the course of action from Sonos, however, have not explicitly mentioned that to me anywhere. From the community’s co

My Sonos ARC has been playing fine. However, occasionally when I turn off my system (TV & Cable Box) and later turn it back on I only get sound from my TV speakers. I then have to disconnect (Unplug) my TV, Cable Box and the Sonos ARC for 30 seconds. When I plug everything back in and turn on the system I then get sound from my Sonos ARC. This happens about 3 times a week. My Sonos ARC is connected to  my Samsung Q7FD series TV via HDMI ARC. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to get a turntable that we can connect to our multiple Sonos devices we have in our house. I just want to confirm that getting the Vinyl Set with the Sonos Five will allow us to connect the music to all of the other speakers we have setup, or if we would need to get a Port or Amp to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated to make sure I get the right products.

I just purchased a playbar from Costco. I went online to Sonos and set up my account. Under system it says nothing registered. Where do I go to register my playbar?? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I have recently purchased a Sony Bluetooth turntable. The unit works fine and had no trouble picking up my echo dot when I pressed the pairing button on the turntable. However as I wanted to get a better sound quality (obviously) I’m trying to connect to my Play1.Again, the Play1 works fine and is linked to my phone.Why can’t I get it to sync with the turntable 😤cheers in advance🤞🤞

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the volume on my speakers using the volume control on my iPhone when using AirPlay? Up until recently, when I readjusted the volume it would adjust all the speakers grouped with the one I have connected to Airplay. Now I seem to only have the capability to adjust the only the one speaker connected to AirPlay using my iPhone’s physical buttons. I have to open the Sonos app and adjust the speakers everyday individually. It’s really annoying and I can’t figure it out.

I have Google Assistant Set up on 3 speakers. 2 of the 3 play a ding after I say “Ok, Google”. The other doesn’t. Surely there is somewhere I can control this. But where? I’ve looked all over the google home and google assistant and Sonos App.

Hi.After years of mediocre sound, I bought an arc, sub and two One SL speakers for surround. But I didn’t really do much research on Sonos functionality, hope you can help me out a bit.Just to paint a small picture:We have a pretty large living room, TV about 7 meters from the sofa, bedrooms are closer to the arc than the sofa. For me to enjoy music or TV sound without waking up the family early morning or late at night, I was ideally hoping that the One SL speakers could “take over” and be the only active speakers if I wanted them to. Making the arc and sub mute actually. Is that possible somehow? Also I would love if I could stream my music to the One SL speakers only if I wanted. As far as I see from searches and other replies, this is not achievable at the moment? I was hoping these topics were old and there’s some news on this. Could I make the One SL speakers as one group (sofa), arc and sub another group (TV), and these groups to play the same thing if we want, but able to strea

After updating from S1 to S2, the music stored on my samsung galaxy A40 can no longer be played from the S2 app. The error I’m getting is [x-track] is no longer available on [my phone]. All music can be played on other apps (and is stored in the Music folder). I’ve granted all permissions (going so far as to uninstall the app, forget my home network, reboot and reinstall everything.) Am not sure what’s wrong. 

Is generation 1 or 2 of the sub compatible with S1 ? Want to buy but don’t want to mess with 2 different apps. 

Hi there,I currently have a Play:1 and am thinking of getting a Beam to be used with my Vizio TV, but I just discovered my TV doesn’t have an HDMI-ARC port. From what I understand, I could still set up the Beam through my TV with the included adapter but I wouldn’t be able to use Alexa to control the TV. That would be okay with me, however, does that also mean that Alexa wouldn’t work at all through the Beam? For example, if I set up the Beam to be on the same network as my Play:1 and my TV is off, could I still activate Alexa on the Beam through voice commands and have her play music from Spotify?Any clarification on this topic would be helpful and please just point me to another thread if someone has already asked about it! Thanks!Kyle

Hi guys, I have a Beam, 2 x One SL, Sub (Gen 3) and a Move. I have finally given into the lure of vinyl and I was wondering what the best option is for me and my current set up. The above speakers (minus the Move) are set up in my sitting room as a surround sound system - can I get a turntable that will play music through that set up? I’d need the Sonos amp or connect...right? Would this defeat the purpose of the turntable though, would if be better to get hifi speakers that I connect (analogue)? I’m a newbie to all this. Thank you.

Hello, I have a sonos connect hooked up to a vintage Curtis Mathes record player/radio console. I have 2 other sonos speakers (play 1) in other rooms that are on opposite ends of my place. I am able to stream wireless services (Spotify, etc) through all speakers, including the Curtis Mathes and it sounds amazing.  I would love to be able to play records wirelessly throughout my place, but I am unable to get the songs to play through the play 1 speakers, when I’m using the Line In setting and play records through the console.It seems I get some type of signal, because there is a buzzing that comes through the play 1 speakers that isn’t usually there, but no songs.Is there something I’m missing? Are the devices too far away from one another? Is it possible that these two pieces of equipment don’t communicate in the way I’d hoped? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!  

Can I use the Arc & Sub without rear speakers?  The room isn’t conducive to placing rear speakers and I am wondering if the Arc & Sub will provide enough sound on their own.  

I have had the Sonos Beam for around a year now and been using it via ARC to an old Samsung TV. In addition to this I have 3 Sonos One around the house, and a Sub used together with the BeamThe Beam works perfectly via ARC for TV sound, but I have an issue with the Google Assistant. I am able to turn OFF the TV via google voice commands, but when trying to turn it ON nothing happens (the Beam light blinks for a while and then stops).Strange thing is that if I issue the turn ON command to any of the Sonos One speakers around the house, it works and the TV turns ON!Just got a new LG TV (65NANO956) and was hoping the issue would disappear, but same thing happens. Sonos One speakers can turn on the TV, but the beam does nothing (all other commands like “turn off”, works).System is setup via SonosNet, and the Beam is the access point.Any suggestions to what might be happening here, as the TV evidently does support turning on through the Google Sonos integration as seen with the One speakers

Hi all, I’ve been running a couple of Play 1’s in my office, my music library sits on my Mac, and the S2 OS app on the mac links the library to the Play 1’s.I have an old ZP80, which I plan to reinstate with a turntable connected via RCA in, running to the S1 controller app, I will then factory reset the Play 1’s and add the to the S1 controller app.I am hoping that the music from the turntable, through the ZP80 will then come through the Play 1’s. Am I planning this correctly? Is anyone doing the same and using a turntable into a ZP80.Any conformation and advice would be appreciated. 

Hi, my Move fails to connect to my existing system, my system is quite old & still uses a bridge but still works ok generally. The setup routine finds my Move but hangs when the “accessory setup” button appears. Nothing further happens when this is pressed. 

Hi, I’m trying to connect my Play 1 and One SL to my Beam for surround sound.  They are all WiFi enabled and powered on.  This is the sequence I’ve tried:System - (chose the room I want eg Living Room) - Set up Surrounds - Continue It them brings up a message saying : Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds.  Make sure your products are powered on and connected to WiFiCan anyone suggest where I am going wrong :( Thanks

I have a very good self powered sub that I want to use.  I currently use Arc + Sub via optical splitter. However, I’d like to know a way to have the Sonos using EARC while the Sub uses optical. Any suggestions?   *** Thoughts on the Sonos Arc so far. Meh.  It’s not as good as what I heard from a Sonos one time in Best Buy.. (maybe playbar?)
