Can someone help me how to use somos roam, I all ready pair to May sonos app and still dosent sound.
I just got a second Roam, I added it to the app etc and all seemed well, I then set the two up as a stereo pair but after this the new one no longer shows in the App but the first one doesn show itself as part of a stereo pair. If I switch the new one off the app lists “Unamed room” as going offline and if I switch it back on then that line disappears.I have tried factory resetting both units and restarting the app all more than once , I just cannot get it to appear ( except when switched off )
Need help removing a Roam from my Sonos S2 app. I have already followed the instructions detailed in the thread below with no success. The speaker persists. Please advise.
In Sonia app touch controls are on, and I can change the volume in the app, but touch control buttons aren’t working on my sonos move.
Withdrawn. It took a few hours but the new Roam came on line.
I got the Roam yesterday, and was able to get it to work and I added other devices when I linked them to Roam. But now the other devices will no longer work on their own. When I click on the “play” icon, it immediately goes back to the square - stop - icon. Tried the computer, my iPad, nothing works without having the Roam as the primary device. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Hi there…I have several Sonos speakers. One (Sonos Arc) of them is wired to my router.Issue: My Sonos Move was not visible - so I went ahead and got it connected from my iPhone. Now it plays - BUT the Move is NOT visible from my PC (Mac).Any suggestions please 🙏
I recently purchased a new roam this week after much anticipation. I am however very disappointed with the purchase. I am unable to keep the roam connected to WiFi. It works for a few hours but eventually disconnects and then the status like blinks from white to orange. I can hear the music skipping if I listen to the speak against my ear. The speaker itself makes a popping sound as it connects and disconnects from WiFi. The room works through bluetooth. The Sonos app shows the roam connected to the system despite the blinking light. The Sonos system is up to date, the roam is up to date and I am using the latest Sonos iOS app as well. I’ve gone through the forum’s posts on this subject and did hard resets, rebooted my WiFi. Nothing seems to work. My current system has five other speaks connected without issue, throughout the house. I’ve tried moving the roam closer to the router. Nothing seems to work and I am afraid that I’ve received a lemon… Edit as of this afternoon: Bluetooth do
Hi there everybody. I have two Sonos Roam and some cabled Sonos (One, One SL, …) and I seem to have a problem with alarms on Roams.Sometimes (not every morning) the alarm won’t turn on on Roam. It doesn’t play the chimes, either, so it’s not an Internet connection issue. The strangest thing is this: in the Sonos app, the Roam device is not even offline since I can see it, but the status led is off. As soon as I press play the led turn on and the music starts to play. So it seems that the Roam is connected, online but with the led off and the alarm not started! After the occurrence I try to set another alarm, put the Roam in stand-by and wait. And then the alarm works! In my experience, this happened with the Roam only, with the Ones I sometimes had the chimes instead of the music, but the alarm always worked.I’ve sent the diagnostic 1074509429. The alarm was set to turn on at 6:40 AM (Central European Time), roughly one hour before the end of the diagnostic. The Roam is called “Cameretta”
I am travelling and have my Sonos roam with me . The blue light is flashing but roam is not showing up on my Bluetooth list .. thus I cannot connect any suggestions ?
First and foremost I fully enjoy my Sonos speakers. Recently purchased the Sonos Roam. Amazing speaker with great sound! However, I notice everyday I come home from work, it's turned on knowing I turned it off. First, why?? Secondly, will this ever change?? The Roam never leaves the charger if I want to be able to use this thing. Can and will there ever be an update to fix this?? Thanks in advance, Greg
The Move cuts in and out when the TV is on. (I’m using the Beam, Sub, and two play 1s for my home theater.) The sound is solid when I’m playing music through the Sonos app.
I enjoy most of my Sonos products and they usually work well. The Sonos Move is a big fail, in my opinion. I have multiple Sonos products (Play5’s, Play3’s, a One, aPort, a Playbase) on SonosNet, except, of course, the Move, which frequently goes offline and cannot be brought back without a reboot. I believe that the fundamental flaw is that the “Mixed” SonosNet/wifi does not work. I have a Linksys Velop system with SonosNet on a dedicated channel (11). The Move often goes offline, sometimes after being used in a different location, sometimes if a node has to be reset, or sometimes for no apparent reason. The only thing that works is resetting the Move and adding it as if it were a new component. It’s easier than taking down my whole network with a router reboot - which is NOT an adequate answer. Sonos always want to know what router you are using, what bands, what channels and other details that don't really matter. The Move apparently needs the option to be on the SonosNet like eve
After working for around 6 months my Move has stopped responding. I get 10 seconds of amber light when I put it on the charging station then nothing else - no other lights work and none of the controls work. I can connect to the Move via Bluetooth but the sound is not good. I’ve tried a reset but that doesn’t seem to work either. My Amp is working fine on my network
I have a sonos roam and a nintendo switch. For several days I was able to connect and play audio over bluetooth from the switch with zero issues, but out of the blue today the sonos will connect to the switch, play the "paired" chime sound, and will not play any further sounds as long as it continues to be paired.I can pair other bluetooth audio devices to the switch and have them play audio without issue, and I can pair the roam to a laptop and my phone over bt to play audio without issue. So far I've tried:restarting the switch restarting the roam everything described here manually unpairing the roam from all other devices manually unpairing the roam from the switch, then re-pairing factory-resetting the roam validating that the switch is not in need of any updates (it's not, and there have been no updates since Jan 19th) changing volume from both the switch quick settings and on the sonos itself (the sonos will make pinging noises as I increase or decrease the volume on the device, b
When turning on my Sonos Roam, it will often require me to set up again in the S2 app. For example, it was working fine yesterday, but when I turned it on today, the indicator light first flashed white, then flashed orange/white, and then blinked green. This also happened yesterday. Not sure why it's resetting itself, so I'm wondering if someone could help.
Hi,I’m starting to getting really desperate here.I have a house full of sonos speakers, mainly Play:1 and One’s. For example you have the living room with a stereo pair of Play:1’s, on my desk there are 2 One’s in stereopair, and in the kitchen there is a Play:3. Every Sonosproduct I have is wireless connected, and connected to a professional Wifi-system. That last part is my actual job. I install professional wifinetworks. But to be honest, I never experienced that much issues with sonos, at any client, with the same wifi-hardware. Everything is Ubiquiti Unifi. I can garantee that every speakers has its own access point withing max 3-4 metres, and the connection is perfect. The problem I have is that some speakers suddenly start, and stop playing. I haven’t been able to have them all play the same playlist. Sometimes it works to combine living room and kitchen. When I group more then 2 groups it never works. Very frustrating. So after half a year of trial and error, I can honestly say
I’ve had my Roam speaker for a few months and worked fine with no issues. This morning it won’t turn on. I wonder if it needs charging so I plug in using the lead that I got with the speaker and has always worked fine. When plugging in the orange light appears but after 3-4 seconds it turns off. The speaker will not turn on. It’s been plugged in for a few hours now and still nothing.I’ve tried doing the reset (power + play button) and nothing. I always use this lead, same plug, same socket even as I only listen to it in my office at home. Any ideas?
Hi allI recently purchased a Sonos roam. I’m an avid lover of the Sonos product and have a few around the house actually most rooms ! I purchased the roam to enable me whilst being away to listen to high-quality music. On my first trip away I attempted to Bluetooth to the Rome but found that the hotel accommodation I was staying in did not support the Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz and numerous attempts with sonos support online unfortunately I was unable to modify the Wi-Fi system at my accommodation or connect. I plan on travelling to the states in July 2022, this year and I’m concerned that if I take the Roam with me I will be unable to connect to 2.4ghz Wi-Fi in the accommodation that we stay at therefore unable to connect the Roam?Q. Is this going to be an issue or have others experienced this and do I need to purchase another portable music device or similar for ease of being able to listen to my favourite music whilst travelling cheers Rob
Good evening,It is normal for the speaker Sonos Move that the battery drains quickly, even though I turn off the speaker itself by press and hold the power button for about five seconds? Thanks for the reply.
Hello,Love Sonos. The Move was my gateway drug. Recently I’ve noticed the sound suddenly changes - it’s hard to describe but it suddenly sounds muffled and strange, loses a lot of treble and bass, the mid range frequencies seem amplified, almost as if one of those cheesy equalisers like “listening to music in a barrel underwater” has been turned on. I’ve isolated it to something to do with auto trueplay, I think. With auto trueplay off, the sound remains the same, somewhat flat, but stable. Turn auto trueplay on, move the Move, sounds fine for a minute or two then suddenly changes. It’s as if auto trueplay is kicking in, and then getting it awfully wrong. Didn’t happen before, was always amazed by how well the trueplay seemed to work (hence why I’m not satisfied with listening to it off). Problem persists despite reset, different places, indoors outdoors, background noise or not, different music sources. Listening on wifi. Support said nothing showed up on diagnostics…if I submit diagn
My roam doesn’t make any sound at all. No sound when playing a song and no system sounds. Same issue in both connect and bluetooth. Any idea?
Hi,Since I got the Move two days ago, it keeps disappearing from the Sonos App, despite still being connected to internet.I come down in the morning and usually issue a voice command to the device, at which point it turns on some lights, and reads news from Internet and so on.This works perfectly so network and internet are clearly up. My Sonos Beam connects via ethernet and my Sonos One connects via wifi; both NEVER drop off the app. However, its missing from Sonos app and the only way to get it back is Support > Find missing productsIt then tells me to power cycle the device, at which point I pressed the Wifi/BT button this morning and it then found it. Consistent problems with the Roam after using two devices swapped with Costco. No problems bringing onto existing, problem free, complex SONOS network with an extensive Plume configuration for WiFi (really get 100Mbs/20Mbs all through house). Current SONOS app at 14.0.2.At 100% charge. Flashes yellow/white. Playback plays half second of stream repeatedly a second apart. White / Amber flashing status. Same symptom on bluetooth. Setup on Google for voice … problem with/without Doesn’t matter if Trueplay is enabed or disabled. Have done a repower and factory reset with no resolution. With repeating issue on two Roams, and similar symptom whether WiFi or bluetooth, would appear to either be defective hardware or firmware as not wireless data transport. SONOS will RMA a new device, will share how it goes.
I’ve seen a few posts here and elsewhere about the so-called “Machine Gun” or “Jackhammer” glitch, usually related to the Beam (Gen 2). As well as being a long-time member here, I am also a member of various related Facebook groups. For the benefit of others, I would like to inform the community that the glitch has been discussed at least once in relation to an Arc, and I also experienced the same fault in a Roam. In my case the problem took a few months to work through with tech support, because unlike the mains powered devices, the Roam only exhibited the sound for a few seconds before it fell offline. My Roam also exhibited a power retention problem with the battery that was either related or unrelated, so it has been replaced under warranty for another reason.Anyway, if you are experiencing this glitch and cannot explain it to anyone, this YouTube video helped me put a name to the problem.
