Morning anyone else having issues when updating the new app you lose all your settings and each time have to delete the app then add the app again. And they appear back again. But I have to do that every day which is a right pain. I am guessing the new app update which was released last week has come with a bug. Sonos should left the old version app as it was. Ever since the new app it’s created a s*** storm. I know this issue is minor compared to others but such a pain in the arse
Hi.Any idea why emails I get from Sonos are in Dutch? Both langiage and address on Sonos profile is set to English / United Kingdom.ThanksJames
Someone has registered their email to my Sonos and I cant register it back to my details

Hi all,I am getting married in August and the venue is fitted out with a 'state of the art'sonos system (a bunch of p1's). A few weeks ago we did another visit to the venue to get some measurement and to check theat the system works. I am making a 5+ hour mix to play (offline / local library) at the reception and unfortunately had a bunch of problems. The system is driven by an ipad that sits at the entry table. However as I am awanting to play off my phone I attempted to connect to the network. This wasnt working until some googling resulted in resetting the system. This got me connected (note i am Androrid)Finally in the app, there was a section under the streaming services that stated local library (if i recall corrrectly) which was impossible to navigate. There was no search function.I then spend an 1.5 hrs on the phone with sonos help who teamshared with my computer, changed a bunch of sharing options and wrote a list of instrructions so i can play this via my laptop (macbook pro)
Is anyone else having this problem? Apple Music seems to be having a problem with the new app. I first noticed parts of the songs playing were missing (like no vocal), and now it won’t play at all.i tried removing and reconnecting Apple Music and it hasn’t helped.is this only me?
The new update has impacted my speakers connectivity and removed playlist capability which really impacted me. I am thinking of using a third-party for my speakers now. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I moved to SonoPhone on IOS. My playlists show and actually work. Interestingly, after loading the playlist on SonoPhone, I can then switch to the new Sonos app and the playlist will be in the cue (and play) but won’t show as a playlist option. And, unfortunately, in the new Sonos app, I can’t find any way to save the playlist.

We have seen a few posts with people talking about firmware versions and being at different places within the last few updates. While this isn’t new to the recent Sonos app update, there are more and more conversations about it and I thought I’d try to help give some context to what we’re seeing. One thing that may not be widely known is that by turning off Auto-Updates in the app store, it only addresses the updating of your controller app and not necessarily the firmware of the players. This means that while you may be blocking your controller from updating, the speakers may still update their firmware if someone else updates the system from their controller. Different people end up in different parts of the updating pipeline and while all the problems look different, they can usually be traced to this mismatch. You can check your speaker firmware by going to: Settings (Gear in top-right) > Manage > About My System Here are a few compatibility scenarios that you may find yoursel
Man! I used to absolutely love my Sonos system. I have multiple devices era 300, two arc’s, an amp, bunch of gen 2 play 5s. I loved being able to wake up in the morning to a playlist, a great way to start my day. I didn’t even need to look at the clock, I knew what time it was by the song. I could save and edit my playlists. It was a fracking digital jukebox, what I dreamed of as a kid. NOW? I have phantom alarms. My playlist alarm starts at regular time, then four minutes later another alarm a Sonos chime goes off. Then on the weekends two alarms go off one at 07:20 and one at 08:20. I can’t control these alarms. It is ridiculous. I am glad that Sonos has added back being able to add to queue and end of queue but the alarm is a fracking nightmare. Can’t believe this was not a top priority. I used to love my Sonos system, I recommended Sonos to any music lover I met. Heck! I even bought three speakers for my ninety yo mother! NOW? I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Does anyone else
I gave up on the new Sonos app yesterday and purchased the app called Sonophone. It seems to have stability and functionality that Sonos has jettisoned. Okay to use this app? What are the downsides? Can we ask Sonos to reimburse us for the app purchase price?
We have some exciting news that we would like to share with you all! As some of you may know, Deezer entered into a long-term partnership with Sonos earlier this year. Since April, Deezer has made an extensive, curated music catalog available to its streaming radio service Sonos Radio and its subscription service Sonos Radio HD. As most of you might know, Deezer is one of the music services that supports lossless audio in FLAC format (16-bit / 44.1 kHz) by default. No additional subscription is required. Another cool feature I love is “Flow”, as it combines some of your favorite tracks but can also help you find some new hidden gems you've never heard before but are right up your alley! These are just a few of Deezer's features, and you can read more about all the great features here. We wanted to share some exciting developments from this partnership with you. The Deezer and Sonos communities will work together! 🤝 We have some great things in common, users in the communities, so we w
Dear Sonos…..I love your products, connectivity and ease of use. Unfortunately your new mobile app is extremely disappointing. It clearly was rolled out prematurely without customer vetting and enough testing. Please take the feedback on this forum and roll it back until you vetted it through your customers. Sincerely, a teetering loyal customer.
I wanted to provide feedback on the new app layout and design. It would be ideal to have everything on 1 screen in quadrants. I find you have to drill down too many levels and then all the way back to get to the “Home Screen” and the Search Bar. Music Services in 1 quadrant with the search bar always present, 2nd quadrant for what is playing now with ALL the controls, 3rd quadrant for all the devices/rooms you have that can be turned on and off or have their volume adjusted. Lastly, the 4th quadrant for your personal playlists/recently played. Touching 1 quadrant expands it to have all the details you have now in the various sub-menus but it eliminates drilling down. All controls in the app now accessible from 4 quadrants - simple and clean.
Probably like many others, since the pea-brained ‘upgrade’ to Sonos, now nothing works. I have 2 SLs and a Roam, but have lost all of my music and playlists. I have dusted down my CD player and found the 3 or 4 CDS I have left… and that’s it. Does anyone know of a good place to get a few pennies for these products? Also, does anyone know how many people have been fired at this company for what must be the worst upgrade in human history?
What is going on with Sonos? The new app is awful. No queue or alarm facility. How can this huge company think this is a good idea. Wish I hadn’t updated it now unless I’m missing something. Sonos please sort it out. Ruining the Sonos experience.
I just spent over 8 hours fixing all the problems that emerged immediately following the download of the new Sonos software. Did anybody at Sonos test this code before releasing? How does software as bad as this make it to customers. I work for an API-development organization. If we release an update with problems like the latest Sonos update, we’d be out of business. Please fix and re-release, but test it first and analyze the test results.
I saw a note that said something likealarms by late May queue management by Juneanyone have this list? I’m guessing these are new releases in Jira.
For over a year I have been escalating repeatedly that my Sonos Controller App on my Mac no longer would automatically update. Instead I had to uninstall my Sonos app on my Mac and reinstall it and then reconnect my Music Library. Then and only then it would index my library with the current changes I made adding music and new playlists.Earlier in the week when I installed the new mobile App and tried to play music it couldn’t find my music I had played the day before because it wasn’t connected. I went to my Mac and opened the Sonos Controller App and to my surprise it apparently updated automatically when it had disconnected after downloading the new Mobile App. I was truly impressed that Sonos actually had responded and fixed the problem of automatic updates on macOS versions beginning with Ventura and still was an issue with Sonoma. While the process was annoying and took extra time to index the entire library rather than just adding the changes, it was simple enough. But I was
Was this update created to annoy/baffle/confuse users? If so, CONGRATULATIONS you nailed it! Missing Alarm function, no crossfade, no “history”. Come on Sonos get this sorted....😤
how many times will we support Sonos abruptly setting new rules that makes the products that we own and paid for unable to be used. there was the change from S1 to S2 they finally reverted by maintaining the old app, and now the new crappy app that simply offer LESS features than the previous one. This is in their DNA, sorry I don’t want to be on the hook with this kind of company. It might be attracting for a business to be able to stop their customers enjoying their product forcing them to buy new ones, but not for me.
What is up with licensing and Apple music? Clown show...Alan Parsons AWB unavailable? Some serious censorship going on here!
Here’s a possibly dumb question, but I don’t like surprises so I thought I’d ask. We’re moving to a new house in a few months. In the new house, I will set up the same WiFi we have in our current house. I’m just going to unplug the WiFi router in our current house, and plug it in at the new house.I’m wondering if moving my Sonos system will be as simple as unplugging all our speakers in our current house, and plugging them all in at the new house. Since the speakers will find the same WiFi present, I’m thinking everything will just work. But, I’m not exactly sure I understand where my system configuration information is stored. I think I understand the speakers form a distributed system and I assume full system configuration is stored in each speaker. I assume any changes I make to the system are synchronized from speaker to speaker until all have the latest change. But, in order for the configuration to persist during power outages, etc, the speakers would have to have something like t
Was the Sonos 2 app created by a competitor trying to ruin the business? If so they have done a good job.Poor functionality, terrible user experience, its quite unbelievable in this day and age that a piece of software this bad has been launched. If the idea is to make us all buy new sonos products - DREAM ON.
