I own a Sonos Beam and gave done since 2019 along with Sub and two One SL speakers as surrounds. My TV is a Samsung UE49KS9000 and my Beam is connected to it via HDMI to the one connect box on Port 4 which is the HDMI Arc port. i have three spare HDMI ports and these are taken up with a PS5, Xbox Series X and a 5 Port HDMI Switch. I have two devices connected to the HDMI switch: Sky Q box and Apple TV.  Everything works as it should. I can turn the TV on and off using Alexa, increase and lower volume via Alexa, although she no longer correctly tells you the volume level if you happen to forget it - she used two back when I first had the beam and I’ve reported this several times, anyway I digress.  So that’s the detailed background - here is my problem:I recently purchased a Sony UBP-X800M2 blu-ray player, I connected this to the HDMI switch and said “Alexa, Turn on TV” nothing. I turned on the TV via remote. Waited ages, no sound. I turn off TV, unplug Blu-Ray player from mains, then s

Just received two Sonos One SL that I ordered online at Best Buy, but their boxes are different. One is white and the other is brown.  Same color as regular carton boxes. Wondering if that’s normal. Both are supposed to be new.

Recently purchased  Beam (Gen 2)...When Beam  is connected to Vizio TV...Audio cuts out, sometimes the picture cuts out, sometimes both cut out at the same time. Sometimes when these issues are occurring, the TV remote is unresponsive. I have set the CEC to ARC only, replaced both HDMI cables for TV and Beam...Had Comcast replace the cable box….nothing I have tried has worked. When I disconnect the Beam the TV works fineI have read other reviews that the Beam & Vizio TV’s have issues. Anyone have any suggestions before I return the Beam

Hi Folk,Set up my Beam today and was having lip sync issues when watching Prime through my Xbox Series X on a Samsung Q80 TV. I just want to share what fixed it. You need to set the Digital Output Audio Format to Pass-through. See the screenshot. Hope this helps.

Sub connects to zone and shows up in app as working but as soon as you press play for that zone the sub light starts blinking green and won’t play.  Zone works otherwise.  I’ve tried many resets, hardwired connection, and 2 different subs.  Tech support didn’t know what to do so they are replacing both.  Has anybody seen this issue?

Hi all! I’m getting a deal on my first sets of Sonos speakers, and I wanted to seek some guidance on how I should set them up! The speakers are:3x Sonos Play 3 1x Sonos Play 5The above is being as a bundle for $600 (I think that’s a deal?). Prior to coming across this offer, I was looking into getting a Sonos Beam + 2x Sonos One for watching movies in the living room (or master bedroom). Though, I’m most likely still getting a Beam.Quick background: I currently have a dozen or so Alexa speakers setup throughout the home for playing Spotify music. They’re all a part of a multi-room speaker group. So if I pick up this deal + a Sonos Beam... is the best way to make use of these speakers is to put them in a 5.0 setup (Beam + 2x Play 3)? I’m not sure what else I can do with the remaining Sonos speakers other than plug them into some of my lower-end Alexa devices via aux. What do you think?

Here is my issue: I am unable to get Dolby Atmos to display in the Sonos app when playing a movie. Here is my setup: Samsung UN55JS8500 UHD TV, Oppo UDP-203, HDFury Arcana & Arc. I have the HDMI ARC Input of the TV going into the HDMI Output of the Arcana. I have the eARC Output of the Arcana plugged into the Arc. The Oppo is plugged into the HDMI Input of the Arcana. When I play a movie that should have a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, my Sonos app displays Dolby Digital 5.1. The movie is being played from a backup of the actual UHD Blu-ray via my Synology DS920+. Any ideas on what the issue might be?

Hi, i have an open space floor plan (see pic), and I’m going to use multiple Amps to set up home sound.  In the living space, I’ll have an Arc with 2 rear ceiling Sonos Sonances forming an Atmos system, connecting to a single Amp,  and then I’ll have 2 to 3 pairs of Sonances in the large open area covering the kitchen, dining and living area.  (And I'll have outdoor speakers connected to an Amp; there are two outside decks, where the grids on either side of room are).Question: If I'm not using the Arc and Rear speakers as home theater/TV, can I switch their use/incorporate them into a larger all-over system? If so, then I won’t need an extra pair of Sonance speakers in the living area. I know the Amp can control up to 3 pairs, but they have to play the same sound. If I have the 2 rear speakers on one Sonos Amp, can I also connect two more pairs of Sonances to the same Amp, have the 2 pair shut off when doing Atmos, and then have the option to shift over all 3 pairs  supporting the all-o

I have seen lots of discussion about similar issues, but I haven’t seen my particular issue.  I have my Sonos Arc connected to the HDMI eArc input on my Bravia TV.  The Chromecast with Google TV is connected to the MHL HDMI input.  If for example I watch Netflix through the App on the Bravia, I get full Dolby sound.  But if I watch the same Netflix program through Chromecast, I can only get Stereo PCM sound.  I have fiddled with every sound setting I can think of on both the Bravia and the Chromecast, but I can’t improve the sound.  Any suggestions? Thanks,Mike

Hi all,I’ve had the Arc since Christmas and added the sub a couple of weeks ago. It’s been brilliant and is a huge improvement on my last soundbar. However, it has started randomly making a weird noise, which I can only describe as a static sound,  It was quite bad a couple of days ago while watching BBC News when the news reader was speaking. It happened again when I put Sky Sports on and the pundits were talking at half time. Also, when I’m in the Home menu on the TV (Sony A80J) it does it when I’m navigating around the screen, but only if I leave the cursor for a while then move it. It’s the same on the internal apps. These noises went away by simply turning the TV over then switching back but I shouldn’t need to do this.It is rather annoying. Is there something wrong with my Arc?I disconnected the Arc to see if it was the TV but it’s not, it only happens when the Arc is connected.I have tried unplugging everything from the mains and disconnecting all of the HDMI cables and power cable

I have read the posts Below relating to the machine gun noise coming from my Sonos beam two. Last night I had a very similar experience I had Which scared the life out of me my wife and cat.The only way I could stop this was to unplug the HDMI and As it would not let me into the Sonos S2 app to control on yetpower cable, As it would not let me into the Sonos S2 app to control or mute. Ccan the Sonos community or Sonos them selves please indicate what can be done to resolve this issue, I have had many issues since starting to use my beam two, correction failures Wi-Fi and compatibility changing Wi-Fi channels we are all tried to make the pairing of my new Sonos possible. The final result was me returning returning the first beam to back to the hi-fi retailer, where even the could not get the initial unit pair up for update.

I have just bought the Sonos arc and connected it all up following the instructions. LG OLED 65 connected with HDMI ARC input from SONOS ARC. There are 2 other HDMI cables, one for a Skybox and one for VIRGIN 360 BOX. Whenever I turn off the TV and turn back on again the SONOS does not play sound from the TV and its own installed apps even if the VIRGINBOX 360 has not been turned on. I open the App and tells me another Theatre product connected is in conflict. The only way I get sound back is to disconnect the HDMI 4K cable connected to my VIRGINBOX 360 from the TV. This is maddening and cant find any guidance on how to solve this. Does anyone have a clue what Im doing wrong?

Hi everybody,I have audio issues with all the One SL speakers I recently got. When streaming, I randomly get “knocking”/”tapping” noises. Imagine you’re in a Zoom call and somebody taps their finger onto the microphone. Those sounds appear at the current volume. It happens mostly when streaming Spotify (no matter if via Sonos app or Spotify). This occurs on all three Sonos speakers that I bought, all just before Christmas.current-volume tapping noise mostly on Spotify, sometimes on AirPlayIt does not sound like connection issues or buffering. Playback is seamless. Just a loud Support suggested to try connecting via ethernet, but that doesn’t help. I could not replicate it on Sonos Radio, but I don’t generally use that for streaming, so it might still happen there.Would be great if anyone can help here. I do have the stuff on camera, but wasn’t sure that your guidelines on audio samples are. Does anyone else have these issues?

Last night, while watching a movie on Netflix, we heard a loud “POP”!  At first we thought it came from the fireplace, but we quickly realized that nothing was coming from the Arc center channel. The Sub and rear speakers were performing as expected, but the Arc was dead silent. The app did not indicate any issues with the setup and the Arc indicator lights were working. I even tried to activate the voice assistant. Alexa appeared to be responding, but silently, with sounds coming from the Arc.  I feared the worse, but after unplugging the Arc from the power source, and plugging it back in, things went back to functioning normally. I am just curious if anyone else had experienced this. Should I be worried? Arc + Sub + SL+ SR

Very often, the sound from YouTube on my TV, which is played just fine on the Beam, is not correctly relayed on the other speakers. There is like a hiss, like if there was a CD hickup... it's making any relay from TV to other speakers impossible. Thank you for your help

I have a new Sub gen 3, setup was all fine, but NO SOUND comes from it.Diagnostics Number1153778125Need Help

HiSince i bought my LG OLED c1, impossible for me to get sonos arc work properly when i open the TV ( i have to revert to internal speakers then select hdmi arc to have the sound go back)But the worse is that i couldn't have earc: when i toggle earc in the menu it reverts automatically to internal TV speakersI'm using a ultra Hugh speed hdmi câble certifiée between the two devices, sonos arc and LG c1 up to date, i've tried all the settings possible on the TV ( passtrough, auto, bitstream, simplink, hdmi deep color etc)Is it sonos related?

Have been using the arc on my sony TV for a year. All of a sudden it won’t let TV sound come through. The TV says it’s connected to external speaker. When I unplug the hdmi it goes back to TV audio.  Then when I plug it back in it goes to external speakers but no audio will come out of arc. I can play music from Sonos app on arc but no tv. When I hit the up and down on my TV remote the arc status light does illuminate. Please help. Diagnostic number 815805473

HelloI have had an issue which I had reported to Sonos support a couple of times.  This evening after making a change, I have found the source of the problem.I have a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 x Sonos 1 surrounds connected to a Samsung QLED TV. Each evening when running any sound source, TV or music it would cut out everyday at EXACTLY 8pm. I cannot for sure say when it started, but it has been happening for a while now.Tried all the all the things support ask you to do; reboot, change wireless channels, submit diagnostics etc. and none of this worked or was conclusive.Today I noticed in the Sonos App that everyday at 8pm Sonos updates my music library which is located on a NAS drive. Therefore I set it to update at 4am and no more cut outs at 8pm!  Problem (sort of) solved. If anyone from Sonos support can tell me:Why this happens Why a diagnostics report would not show this (i have submitted them on each support call minutes after it happened).I’ve not seen any other posts with this soluti

A few months ago, there was a discussion about the impossibility to rename the HDMI input for Beam and Arc. Sonos staff argued as follows:[Line in (with multiple source name) and HDMI (always named ‘TV’)] are treated differently for good, technical reasons and I would not expect this to change.Ironically, this reply ended with the following quote:"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." - Albert Einstein I have a Beam (gen. 2) connected to my desktop computer, which I use as the computer's speaker system and to stream music from YouTube Music. There is no tv in this room whatsoever. My family members find it rather confusing that they cannot select the audio source ‘Computer’ or something similar, but ‘TV'. This makes no sense at all. As Albert Einstein once said, common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen. Please don't use prejudice - Sonos’ “common sense” doesn't make any sense at all in my use case. Please add the ability to

Hey Folks,I’ve a full sonos home theater with 2 subwoofer  (gen 3)  1X arc and 4x beam. The previous installer also bought 18 Soundshaker system https://soundshaker.com/. Problem is: how to connect it soundShaker to our Sonos system? Thanks for your help,N.

Since the end of December I have acquired the Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3 and 2 one SLs. Very happy with the sound quality overall! Sounds just a bit boomier (bass on -3 and sound sub a bit lower) than my previous separate Jamo speakers, Klipsch 100sw sub and Yamaha receiver. But what an incredibly good soundstage and just solid sound. A great added value for TV, Series and Movies. I am already a fan. Only problem: This runs to my Sony XE9005 TV which only supports HDMI-ARC. The Sony native apps Netflix, Disney+ and youtube work well (including Atmos over DD+) - no to little audio delay - maximum 10-30ms, almost imperceptible. The connected Apple TV 4k (HDMI to Sony), on the other hand... This causes huge lip sync issues (Infuse, Netflix, Disney+) with a typical audio delay of 100-250ms. After hours and hours of troubleshooting and tweaking all possible settings, cables, etc, I've solved it for now by adjusting the audio delay via the alternative media player app MrMC. Depending on the codecs
