Chromecast and Arc

I have seen lots of discussion about similar issues, but I haven’t seen my particular issue.  I have my Sonos Arc connected to the HDMI eArc input on my Bravia TV.  The Chromecast with Google TV is connected to the MHL HDMI input.  If for example I watch Netflix through the App on the Bravia, I get full Dolby sound.  But if I watch the same Netflix program through Chromecast, I can only get Stereo PCM sound.  I have fiddled with every sound setting I can think of on both the Bravia and the Chromecast, but I can’t improve the sound.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike

What specific model Sony TV do you have? Can you post photos of the current audio settings on the TV?

I have the XBR-65X850B and I should have mentioned that other streaming devices like the TiVo 4K produce Dolby sound when connected to same HDMI port as the Chromecast.  I will post photos later.

Thanks,

Mike
