Hi,I’m building a home theater setup. I have a 9.2.4 setup in the room (arc ultra + 2 gen4 subs + 2 era300 ). I want to do some acoustic treatment to improve sound since the room walls are empty and have too much reverberation. I’m looking into getting some acoustic panels maybe also some diffusers. I’m trying to figure out how much can I treat without affecting sound channels directionality.I think I can put sound absorbing panels in the whole back wall behind the era 300 since sound doesn’t need to bounce back having back speakers. Also the front wall behind the Arc doesn’t need to reflect sound. Does anyone have experience or can share some advice?Cheers.

I have 2 soundbar (Beam and ARC) when connect it to the TV direct through the HDMI eARC, it work fine and can control the volume through the TV remote.  But when connect any HDMI inputs to TV like setupbox or PS5. the TV convert the sound automatic to TV speakers and I can’t able to use the sonos soundbar.  

Hi, I am new to the community however not new tot Sonos. This week I have set up my Sonos player and a Sonos connect amp als a surround system and it works. However if I remove the network cables the surround cables stop. Is there a way to get the system up and running without the networkcable? Am I correct to think that my subwoofer out, that worked fine when not in a surround set up, is disabled once I have set up the surround modus on the connect amp? I am thinking about getting 2 play one speakers to replace the connect amp and speakers in the surround, Will they both need network cables?Thanks community for any answers David 

Using passive speakers that are NOT purchased from Sonos as surround speakers connected via AMP to a Arc Ultra - Will True Play optimize the passive surrounds?Thank you,-PH

I have very recently added a Sonos Beam gen2 to my Sonos setup - I also have a Sub and two Ones which i’ve had for years and have been very happy with.My problem is that the Beam keeps dropping / glitching audio whilst watching TV - it’s not a complete dropout, but very noticeable particularly on louder sections. It happens regularly every 5-10 minutes or so, but if I rewind what I’m watching it never happens at the same point in the program.I was previously using a Sony Blu-ray/home cinema system with the same Panasonic TV and that never demonstrated this problem.The other relevant info is that the Sonos will not work with the HDMI-ARC output on my TV - I’ve had to use the optical HDMI adaptor. (and I know the TV ARC output works as that’s how I’ve been using my Sony system for many years)It happens regularly enough that I’m thinking of returning the Beam whilst in the returns window.TV is Panasonic Viera 58DX750   

I currently have an arc, sub gen 3 and 2 era 300’sis there a step by step procedure for replacing the arc with an arc ultra?I seem to be blinded by science with all I’ve read concerning resetting the system, disabling speakers etc. etc.surely it’s more straightforward?Thanks

Stupid question perhaps..when using the Arc Ulra Bluetooth function would you be able to pair it with a pair of Bluetooth headphones and use this feature rather like the swop function if using Sonos Ace headphones I don’t possess Sonos Ace but Bower and WilkinsThank you 👍

So I’ve had my system (Arc, Era300 x2 + Gen3 sub) for a year now - thinking if I spend £2.5k on a system, it’s gonna be good right?My old Polk system for circa £600 was much better - I mean it had a remote control right? and audio and optical inputs - amazing! Oh, and Google assistant, that actually worked properly. And I could tune the speakers with actual volume buttons, to suit me! I mean, we don’t ask much right - lol.My buggest gripe with the Sonos Arc system is the awful dialogue enhancement - which does nothing. On the Polk system, I have a separeate volume to turn the human dialogue up and down to suit me.Sonos Arc system is just such a step backwards is SOOOO many ways.Anyway, the sound signal from the TV comes from optical out, with the HMDI converter.QUESTIONS:___Do I spend another £1200 +/- to upgrade the TV, so I can use the eARC output?Will this improve human dialogue?Or do I ditch the Sonos system, to one that

Hello,I recently purshased used Sonos system (Port, Arc, Sub and  2 x One SL), I was able to Factory Reset the port and installing it throw the Sonos mobile app in my iPhone.But when I started pairing the other devices (Arc, Sub and  2 x One SL) the app detects the devices and start the setup but after few seconds I get the following message “Your mobile device couldn't connect to your Sub. Make sure the Sub is connected to power.” So I click continue and I get this: Knowing that all my devices are connected to same Network and Router and I tried to restart my router and powering up device by device with factory reset and everyting.Any help please?

With just the bar, I’m noticing a consistent issue with dialogue being too quiet at lower volumes. For example, in Dune, when Zendaya’s character speaks in the opening scene, her voice is almost drowned out unless I crank the volume up. But when I do that, the rest of the sounds become way too loud for my room. At a comfortable level, the scene with Paul & Jessica at the beginning of the movie is inaudible. Similarly, in Gravity, I had to raise the volume significantly to make the voices, especially distant ones like when George Clooney is floating around in the beginning, clear enough to hear, but then the other sounds became overwhelming. Watching The Dark Knight Rises, the dialogue volume discrepancy is worse than with my TV speakers. For comparison, my Bose Ultra soundbar doesn’t have this problem. All reviews and user comments are saying the dialogue on the Arc Ultra is much improved and in some cases overwhelming but I don’t really see this

Can I add 4 surround speakers 

Hi,Running dual subs (one Gen 3 and one Gen 4), and noticed in the app it gives me only one control for both subs.  Meaning…..the crossover setting is there only once, and the phase setting is there only once. So...why wouldnt I be given the ability to set crossovers differently?  and are both subs phased the same?  wouldnt you want to have the phased opposite for best impact? I am no expert, and am open to all feedback. Thinking I might add a second AMP so I can control my second sub the way I want.  Does that make sense? TIA Moderator edit: Changed “One Gen 3 and one Sub 4” to “one Gen 3 and one Gen 4” for clarity.

I have had issues with Sonos and the new app updates for a year now. I finally persisted in ringing ‘Christina’ tonight. We removed stereo pair in the lounge, the Move and the Sub. These were then merged with the Sonos Arc and diagnostically tested each time. The Move was glitching with the system and is not meant to be used in a ‘cinema’ environment. I can now manuaaly merge if I wish but it might still glitch the system. The router Channel problems were linked to me using the Sonos Ones as a ‘stereo pair and NOT surround speakers. So, I selected this and hey presto all is well! The S2 app has disappeared from my MacBook Pro though? And, there’s no replacement app there presently?! Magic powers.

I have a Sonos Arc - when it arrived both of the oval caps at the ends of the speaker were slightly loose. When I tried to reattach them they completely detached. I am unable to push them back in and properly secure them. Any ideas or solutions?

I recently upgraded two One speakers used as surrounds in my living room to two Era 300 speakers. The Ones have been factory reset and removed from system. I installed the Era 300 speakers in the same positions as the previous Ones and connected. When I try to add the Era 300s as surrounds they are not an available choice. I can only find other Ones I have in the house as well as my Amp. All updates are complete, app is the most recent, and the Era 300s are not in stereo mode. I've removed Sub and tried to add Era 300s and still nothing. The only thing I haven't done is factory reset the Beam. It doesn't really seem to make sense. Any ideas?

Hey all, hoping somebody has some tips to troubleshoot this really odd problem I'm having since swapping out my Arc for the Arc Ultra soundbar.I've been trying to troubleshoot this all day and feel like the culprit of the issue I'm having is the TV. Here's my setup:LG 65" C1AppleTV 4KXbox One Series XPlayStation 5Sonos Arc Ultra (plugged into eARC port)I noticed that when I swapped out the Sonos Arc to the Ultra last night (where I literally just swapped it out; using the same HDMI cord which always worked perfectly with the Arc), suddenly my Apple Music wasn't playing in Atmos and my Netflix was playing a show that I know supports Dolby Digital 5.1 was only showing in the Sonos app as Stereo PCM.I did a lot of troubleshooting today, and unplugging and plugging back in of cords, etc. I feel like the issue is with the TV changing the signal from the eARC port somehow.I think this because I just did a full unplug of the Ar

I use a Sonos Beam and notice significant differences in volume when switching between channels. Is there a way to set a general output level to avoid these variations?

I originally had a Sonos amp connected to my TVs eARC, and then the amp was wired into two ceiling speakers….. that setup all worked fine.But now I have the Sonos arc, What I did was plug the arc into the TV eARC (The HDMI connection previously used by the amp), and left the amp just powered on with the speaker connections only.However, ever since I was able to get the arc going, I’ve lost all connection and control to the amp and subsequently the speakers which I want to use as rears. I’ve tried disconnecting and resetting, but still no luck.Any advice to fix would be very much appreciated?

I've spent over 8 hours trying to get my sub and one's reconnected to my Arc. I have an Arc, Sub, and two One's which ALL worked previously until I changed my network. I'm able to find the devices and add them to the Arc. I get a confirmation in the app that they've been added but then they all immediately show as offline within the app immediately after. I've confirmed that they're not playing so it's not just a visualization probpem. I've tried adding a new system, both Android and IOS apps, different wifi networks, and have also plugged the Arc directly into my router. I've factory reset each item multiple times and I have the same issue every time. I'm able to play music directly to the devices, but once I bond them to the Arc they're bricks. I don't know what else I can try here. I've about had it with Sonos. My last purchase, a Roam, completely died on me, and now thousands of dollars of home entertainment equipment is essentially useless. 

Just purchased three arc sound bar with sub. Also 2 era 300's. Sounds great. I went through each speaker setup which was quite easy. The era 300's are only putting out background sounds. I was hoping because our room is quite large that they would help in hearing the words/voices of the movie. Did I configure them wrong? I did have each one run the "tuning". Any help would be great. My home theater system has an ARC, a new Sub 4 and two One SL speakers.  I’ve read several reviews that say stay with your ARC, Sub 4 and upgrade to two ERA 300s for surround speakers.  Most reviews say since you already have a dedicated Sub 4 and with an upgrade to two ERA 300s, you would not notice much, if any, difference between having an ARC vs ARC Ultra, plus you’d save $1,000.  Thoughts?  Thanks!

I received my Arc Ultra today but compared with the old Arc I hear no difference in sound. I played different Atmos music and Atmos movies as well as Atmos Test Videos but the Arc Ultra does not provide more bass than the old Arc. In many situations the old Arc even sounds better, the Arc ultra sounds quite thin and hollow… Is there an issue with Sound Motion or is my unit broken? Anyone else experiencing this? Very disappointing to be honest…

Why does my Arch “chime” 3 times when I power my TV off?

I’m considering upgrading from an ARC to an ARC Ultra.  I already own a Sub 4 and two One SL surrounds.  My question what’s your opinion on whether I should upgrade my two One SL surround speakers to ERA 100s, should I purchase an ARC Ultra.  Thanks!
