There are users complaining about this and what some have found, is doing Basic Trueplay instead of Advanced Trueplay helped.
There was an update in December to address no sound from the Sub at all, but this is slightly different. I am not sure when there will be another firmware update, but hopefully its soon, and Sonos will address this.
In the meantime, you could setup a dual sub HT system since you have a Gen 4. Why not give that a try to see if that would improve your experience.

I actually haven’t used Trueplay at all. I assumed it shouldn’t make a difference of this scale but maybe I should give it a try.
Unplug all SONOS speakers.
Restart your router. Once it is on, power on your Arc Ultra, once it is connected, power on your Sub and Surround. Once everything is connected, do a quick trueplay.
