I’ve been using my Sonos system primarily for music, but I’m now setting it up for home theater use. I’m looking for tips on how to get the best sound quality for movies and TV shows. Specifically, what settings or configurations in the Sonos app should I adjust for enhanced surround sound? Any recommendations for additional Sonos components (e.g., soundbars, subwoofers) that would improve my home theater experience would be greatly appreciated

Hi guysI’ve just treat myself to a new TV and the Arc Ultra. They are in my lounge which already has ceiling speakers with amp ruuning them. When I’ve set up the Arc, it connects to the TV fine and then i add the amp as the surrounds which works but then no sound comes out of the ceiling speakers. It’s the same when i try and play music or the TV. I’ve tried all sorts and also spoke with SONOS via live chat and they have advised me i need to change my WIFI to a mesh system. Is this the only way around this issue? I have a beam and amp with ceiling speakers in my Kitchen which works fine.  ThanksRob

I would VERY much like to be able to play my Arc and Ace headphones (I haven’t bout the Ace’s yet) at the same time. My wife and I have different listening volume expectations. I dare say the I would not be alone in finding such a feature more than useful, particularly if it could be switched.

Please help.  It’s driving me nuts and I have to unplug the unit every day to get it to stop.  The popping is rhythmic and non stop while the unit is off.  The firmware is up to date.  

I’m trying to play music from my friends phone. but I can’t seems to connect his phone via Bluetooth .i just got the Sonos beam 2 could it be that Beam cannot support Bluetooth devices ?  What recommendation can I get do I can use Bluetooth connection 

I recently noticed whilst watching certain programmes that my arc ultra makes a strange metallic squeak type sound from what I believe to be the side speakers only playing certain frequencies. I watched buy now the shopping conspiracy on Netflix on my Bose soundbar in the bedroom and it sounded fine then I decided to watch it with my partner downstairs through the arc ultra and some of the background music had a strange high pitched metallic sound emanating from the side speakers. I have also noticed it on other programmes with background music or sound effects but just thought I was being paranoid. It almost sounds like some high frequency distortion. I have tried truplay enabled and without and it’s still there, connected to a Sony a80j using EARC and good quality hdmi cables. Has any one else noticed this or do I have an issue with my unit?

Trying to switch from tv to music on my system 

I have the Symfonisk gen 1 and have just bought a Beam gen 2. Would it be possible to buy a Simfonisk gen 2 and pair with my gen 1 as rear surrounds? Or would I have to find an old gen 1 second hand to pair?  Thanks for your help. 

I recently bought the Sonos Arc Ultra and an Apple TV 4K. I believe my setup is correct, but I can't select Atmos on the Apple TV 4K—only Stereo, Dolby 5.1, or Off.Here’s my setup: Sonos Devices: Arc Ultra Sub 4 2x Era 300s TV: Samsung QN82Q6FNA Apple TV 4K: Gen 3 Connections:I’m using the Sonos-provided HDMI cable from the Arc Ultra to the Samsung TV’s ARC (Audio Return Channel) port. The Apple TV 4K is connected to a regular HDMI port on the TV.I also tried connecting the Apple TV to the Arc Ultra via Bluetooth, but it’s inconvenient because I have to manually switch the audio to Bluetooth every time I turn it on.Does anyone know how to enable Atmos on the Apple TV 4K with this setup?

I have everything set up, AirPlay works perfectly, but with the TV (eARC) it doesn't work as a rear speaker. Any ideas or suggestions? Please.

Hi - I recently upgraded my TV to Samsung Frame. I have a playbar connected via optical with two surrounds. Sound coming out of speakers but unable to control volume with Samsung remote. I have followed direction within community  I setup TV output to Sonos. When toggling volume, TV will display “Sonos (optical) “ but volume won’t adjust This doesn’t work as ‘use with home theater’ is not an option via apphttps://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/use-a-samsung-one-remote-with-sonos-home-theater-speakers Any thoughts/suggestions?

Hi therei have an ACER projector with HDMI connectioni want to connect to a SONOS surround sound group using a Playbar, Sub and 2 Play Ones.advice please on how to go about out this.  Hard wiring isn’t an option due to the layout of the room.

about 6 months ago my sonos system just stopped working, thinking it was the sonos system as being the issue i reset it and also connected it to a none Samsung tv, it works perfectly fine on other tv’s so the sonos system isn't the issue.i have already replaced my optical cable and also the one connect mini- still nothing.Set upTV: Samsung UA65JU7000 with one connect miniApple TVSonos:Play bar - Version 16.5Sub - Version 16.52 x One speakers - version 16.3 TV is connected to one connect mini Apple tv connected to one connect mini playbar connected to one connect mini via optical When using the sonos app i have tried to set up the tv connection again but it wont detect anything.

I have an old tv and want to Connect to my beam gen2 but the tv has nog HDMI ARC and optical connection. The tv only has te coax out possibility. Is there any other option to Connect or is a new tv Needed?  

Playbase for years with LG tv which had older digital optical output.(circular with square port) just bought new Bravia 7 which has smal circular port. I have added the adapter to the Sony side.sony tv connects then to the playbase. I am having audio sync issues, and worst off, I had it sorted, and then the problem came back a day later. I have tried all the configs on the Sony, and audio delay on Sonos  app, with no luck.does anyone have this setup?I also removed the Apple tv on hdmi3 to remove variables.so simply tv to Sonos.

Currently, I  have a SONOS BEAM (gen2), a SYFONISK Lamp, and a SYFONISK bookshelf model from the IKEA collaboration.I want to set them up in surround sound, but I can't do it on the app.It says that the product is not found.(They are also connected to wifi and function as speakers.)Do I need to use the same sub-speakers? For example,Sonos Beam (gen2) and Syfonisk Lamp x2orSonos Beam (gen2) and Syfonisk Bookshelf x2If anyone knows, please let me know.

Morning all .  Can anyone help. I have a Sonos arc connected to my lg c1 via the arc hdmi. A Panasonic uhd player via hdmi and  ps5 in other HDMI.  TV streams Atmos from say Disney no problem and atmos films on the player again no problem. However when I put an older film in. Like say the other day was watching the 4k of death becomes her. I was only getting stereo pcm. I have tried looking through endless threads on here and changed various settings but still only get pcm. Surely my older films should at least be able to do 5.1 . Anybody got any help at all  

Why can I adjust the sound lag in the wrong direction but CANNOT improve it on tv surround setup?Between the Sonos adjustment and the Samsung OLED, I can only make the problem worse.  I waited years to pull the trigger on this setup and (in my wife's words...) "ITS UNWATCHABLE"

I have an Arc Ultra. Era 300’s and Sub Gen 2.  Since upgrading to the ultra from Arc I have noticed that TV commercials are much lower in volume than the show I’m watching.  When watching Football,  the referee mics are also very low.  I did an A/B test using TV speakers and my Sonos system and with the TV speakers the volume is as I would expect.  Anyone else experiencing this?  Thanks.

So I have an Arc for a few weeks now, but I have these audio cutouts when playing from 4k bluray, it happens when there is “a lot” of noise, bandwidth wise, like glass breaking.Sample: I’ve already replaced my hdmi cables, and have been with support of sonos diagnosing this. Their suggestion was a corrupted DTS in the movies audio tracks, which I question because it's on all 4 john wicks.Based on my obvservations:only happening in 7.1 TrueHD, downgrade to 5.1 over spdif out of bd player is fine (sync broken though) only happening with lossless tracks, spanish 5.1 lossy is fine. only happening at high bandwidth moments (player reports audio bitrate peaking 7 Mbps)I suspect it's hitting some DSP limits in the arc that probably cannot be fixen given topic below is 2 years old.Relevant gear: Panasonic UB824, Philips 55OLED708 (multichannel bypass), Arc+sub+two Fives all ethernet wired. My question: how can I avoid this from happening, without falling back to pcm stereo audio? I found one t

My Sonos system consist of an Arc + Sub + 2x Era 100. No issues whatsoever with the connection with the Samsung TV (S95B 65 OLED 4K). The head scratcher is the Yamaha RX-V6A that I was not able to connect with the Sonos system. I would really appreciate it you can share your experience with this.

Hi all. I have a projector that I want to connect to my Sonos wall speakers (no bluetooth). My setup is firestick to hdmi extractor --> 3.5mm jack --> Sonos connect (stereo input) --> symfonisk speakers. The sound is in sync with the picture when it works. But it is very jittery, like it doesn't buffer enough to keep up with the picture. Looking for community suggestions to try to fix this as it is ruining the whole cinema experience I was going for!I didn't go for a soundbar because the projector screen is in front of a floor to ceiling window (i.e. it comes down from the ceiling when in use) and so a soundbar would be in the way, or or the ceiling giving a strange sound vibe. This seems to mean no arc?Thanks 

I’ve inherited a Sonos system in a new(old) house and trying to get it to work. I have managed to get the amp working with speakers in two rooms but having no luck setting up a surround sound system in my tv room. The playbar connects ok to the tv and I have sound from it. However, the two Play 1’s in the TV room (different room from where I’m using the amp and other speakers) won’t work and I’m getting the message - Connection - ‘An Ethernet cable, wired to your router, is required to allow WiFi to be disabled,’Since my playbar and tv are far removed from the router, this is pretty impracticalWhat am I doing wrong and how do I fix it ?
