How do I adjust the output balance between my main Arc soundbar and my 2 surround sound speakers? The predominant sound is emitting from the sound bar and I want to increase the bias to the back of my room.

Hi,I tried troubleshooting this with Sonos Customer Support to no avail. I’m trying to trueplay tune my home theatre setup which consists of a Beam Gen 2, sub mini and 2 play 1s for surround. It fails every time midway through the test and asks for me to try again. Help! 

Despite many attempts I have been unsuccessful in trying to play the sound from my Soundbar to other speakers in other rooms.I have gone into the Groups option, set up a group name then in my speaker list select Playbar and other speaker in other rooms. I have saved this setting hoping I would now be able to hear Playbar sound in the other speakers, but nothing!What can I be doing wrong?Thanks.

Arc speaker connected to the TV has just gone crazy. Middleton of a program it just starting sounding like some sort of nuclear alert siren. Unbelievably loud single tone siren. Had to disconnect the speaker, only way to stop the sound. any advise appreciated. Hope the speaker isn’t bricked. Wouldn’t be the first. 

I understand that the Play 1 is not supported with the Arc Ultra, however some have said they do work. Has anyone found that they actually do NOT work? Sounds like Sonos want to remove the support stream. I appreciate there could be a future issue with upgrades etc but my question is has anyone found they were unable to bond the Play 1s with the Arc Uktra?

Hello I have Beam 2nd Gen paired with two Ikea Symfonisk as surrounds. Those work properly by themselves, even as stereo pair, also I'm able to set them in a separate room and play music in both living room and symfonisks' room at the same time.  But, when I set them as surrounds, even if the process is done fine, all the steps of the app properly done and they appear as set as surrounds... They don't sound, not in 5.1 films, nor in surround music. I have spatial music activated, surround music activated…volume is high enough.  The buttons of the symfonisks work, so I can control volume of the beam up and down from the Symfonisk. I have reset all the speakers to factory reset and tried a fresh connection. Same results.  I tried to connect one of the speakers through RJ45 but still no sound and also, it's weird that I buy wireless speakers and I have to use them connected to the router w

Hello we have just purchase 2 arc ultras with subs for two separate rooms.  Each are set up with a TV.  I have successfully paired one Arc and sub in one room however setting up the second arc I cannot locate the flashinglight due to how the tv and arc have been connected physically.  Below is the notification from the app and the photo of how mine looks.  

Volume is very low with my surround speakers One SL speakers left & right, I can barely hear it. Majority of the sound is coming from the beam & im no longer getting the surround effect. 

Hello, I am looking into buying the arc with a sub mini and 2 era 100s.I had a few questions please: I would like to configure the era 100s as a surround speaker with the arc and the sub.For listening to music I would like to switch the era 100s to stereo mode, I think I understood that there was an option for this in the application ("full" mode).If I understand correctly the sub mini and the arc will also play with the era 100s, will there be latency if I play music from the TV with the era 100s in "full" mode, do I absolutely have to go through the app to stream the music and avoid latency? Sorry for my english

We had a very well working setup with a playbar, Sub Gen 3, and two Play:1 as rear speakers.When I tried to update the network setting to use the WIFI, the rear surrounds (Play:1) went silent. The interesting part is that the true play setup works and they makes sound during the setup but then silence when playing content that they previously worked really well for. This is really annoying. When looking at about section, the rears are visible and the system show no signs of problems. The app says it output sounds in 5.1 as usual but the rears are silent.All speakers are set up to use wireless network and the playbar is connected with a wired connection. Anybody experienced a similar problem?

Hi, I have a Sonos beam Gen 2 with the HDMI into the TV’s ARC port and the PC HDMI into the TV. But when I try using Dolby Atmos through the Dolby Access on Windows 11 it’s all out of sync. Can anyone help me solve this? Thanks.

I have just purchased a playbar from marketplace.plugged into my TV via optic, sound works through TV however, volume is stuck on one volume and can only adjust via the app.  The tv remote is compatible with the the playbar however, it just won’t connect. Do I need to use a hdmi-optic converter to go from optic to hdmi in the tv for it to work? This is what I have gathered online however, seems counterintuitive to have to buy an adaptor in order for tv remote to work on tv to playbar?

I'm a recent purchaser of Sonos products, after being impressed with them in holiday rentals.My first purchase has been the below:ArcEra 100 x 2Sub Gen4 The interesting, not to mention frustrating, thing I've found is the fact Trueplay is missing from the Arc settings. The Era 100s both show the option to run Trueplay (when not paired as Surrounds with the Arc) but the Arc is completely missing it even when not paired with any other speaker. I've tried the below to rectify this, based on other posts and videos: Rebooted all speakers - issue is still presentUnpaired everything, including the sub - issue is still present Reset the App - issue is still presentCleared all App cache and data - issue is still presentCleared all App cache and data, then uninstalled and reinstalled the App - issue is still presentPaired the Eras back to the Arc - issue is still present but now I obviousl

I have a large room (26’ x 26’) with couch in middle of room facing tv. Current setup is beam soundbar paired with (2) sonos ones as surround and also (2) sonos ones beside the beam facing the listener. The (2) ones adjacent the beam soundbar are paired and make a considerable difference when watching movies.Current Large Room (26’ x 26’):Beam Soundbar (2) Adjacent Sonos Ones facing listener (2) Sonos Ones paired with Beam as Surround I am debating purchasing an Arc Ultra and moving the beam and (2) adjacent ones to a smaller room to make (2) surround sound tv setups. Two room setup would then look like this:Large Room (26’ x 26’):Arc Ultra (2) One’s paired as surroundSmall Room:Beam (2) Ones paired as surroundI am concerned that the Arc Ultra as stand-alone with (2) Ones as surround will not be as powerful as the current setup. New to the group…….so please be kind.  I am keen on buying the Arc Ultra. However I understand the Arc Ultra does NOT support Play 1s as surround speakers.  is there any chance Sonos will change this limitation or is it a technical issue?

My questions:What decides whether surround bonding uses 2.4G vs. 5G? Is there any way to control or force to one direction? Are there any other options I have here other than hardwiring all my devices in rooms that have surround bonding?Full context:I’ve been chasing some wireless issues on my home network in my 2.4GHz channel space, I previously had my living room Arc hardwired to my home network, and that was making a SonosNet network for the rest of the home.  Two days ago I unplugged that Arc from my home network, and then all my devices went from WM:0 to WM:1, and everything seemed to work really nice, and the other non-Sonos devices on my 2.4GHz wireless network that were having issues, started working much better. One of my rooms has a Beam 2 with a pair of One SLs as surrounds.  I decided to add a Sub Mini to that room, and now one of the non-Sonos devices that was having 2.4G issues is having issues ag

Jan 19th '25. I used my satellite volume controls and EQ last night whilst watching a film. Today, after an app update they have vanished. This happened a couple of years ago as well and I remember they disappeared for about a week before Sonos sorted it out and they reappeared. Does anyone have the same issue? Or have they just moved them to a silly location that is difficult to find?  

I’m using surround sound at home for the first time. I think on some 2.0 video content an attempt is being made to upmix to 5.1 or similar somewhere in my chain of devices but it’s patchy and I would personally rather just have my left and right Era 300s also playing the L and R channels. Is this possible, either through Sonos or from particular devices? I’d consider buying a replacement streaming box that does this.  AppleTV4K ——> LG C4 —(eARC)—> Sonos Arc Ultra/Era 300s/SubMini This is what I’m currently using. 

Hi I'm just wondering if these two are compatible? The TV didn't have a optical port so I bought an adapter to connect optical port to HDMI but it still won't connect

should i use a 8K Arcana VRR 40Gbps arcana2 with the sonos arc ultra?  I am trying to connect a ps5 pro and a projector.  I want to be able to use Dolby Atmos.  Not sure how to split the audio off from the projector.

I used to be able to listen to Spotify, Netflix, etc., on a single Sonos speaker and then connect to additional speakers with the Sonos App.  I would initiate the listening session with my iPhone 15, or a Macbook Air.  Once I selected other speakers, they would all play whatever was currently playing.  But since the last major downgrade to the Sonos App, whenever I select additional speakers via the Sonos App, the speakers go silent.  I can only select multiple speakers after selecting a music streaming service via the Sonos App.The only work around that I found was to walk to each additional speaker and press the play button until the currently streaming service is heard.  Is this Sonos App issue going to ever be resolved or is there some other solution?  I cannot see any Sonos groups available in Airplay from either an iPhone or a Macbook.  And the Sonos App only allows you to stream music to multiple speakers if the streaming service is initiated from the Sonos App.

Sonos Arc Ultra. TV sound fades out when audio clip is being plaid.

I know this issue is addressed from various angles. I have the Beam 2 and it was a huge improvement over a Vizio soundbar. Clarity of dialog was the biggest issue watching TV, movies etc. I am talking exclusively TV, not music. I am considering adding 2 ERA 100 speakers to get to the next level. I assume this will create a Surround Sound environment and generally improve clarity and dialog/sound. I keep reading about a short lag between the sound bar, speakers and TV. Is this a big issue or are we splitting hairs? It’s $400 dollars or so and there is no reason for a false start if it’s not going to work right. It’s a big room, 15x15 and opens into a kitchen and front room. No doors.
