I just got a Sub Gen 3 today and I can't get it to connect. I go through the factory reset process but it will never go to blinking orange. I've held it down and done the process 5 times in a row and never let go. Does anyone have any insight on this? I can't seem to find anything that helps me fix this. The base system I have at the moment is just a Beam Gen 2.  Thanks!

Hi, everyone,On the app you can adjust the vertical audio of your Arc Ultra, I had always set it to +10 but I don't have rear surrounds on the Era 300's. I just have the Arc Ultra, so I set the vertical audio back to 0 because I found it too noisy in the “Silo” series on Apple TV+. What setting do you recommend? Thanks for advance Actarus

I am looking at buying and Arc Ultra. Does it have to be mounted or will it sit on my mantle below my TV set

 Hi,I recently purchased an arc ultra, sub mini, and two era 300s. My couch is set against the wall and I cannot bring it forward due to area constraints. I have placed my era 300s on the sides about 6-10 inches behind where my ears would be, approximately 10ft apart from one another. Everything sounds fine but for the upwards firing speakers. I have a slanted ceiling which has a closer proximity to the left era 300 (say 8 ft high) and is higher up from the right era 300 (10 ft high). I am wondering if the trueplay actually takes into account the incorrect reflection of the upwards firing speakers which would not bounce directly down, rather, at an angle due to the slope. To give some background, I have tasted through dolby atmos test tracks and I cannot hear the heigh channel as depicted, it sounds as though it is coming from the top of the speaker and not from above. Seeing the posts about inverted mounting and trueplay being supported in the inverted position.  I purchased the arc after the play bar was no longer supported.after purchasing I use it primarily for tv and am quite disappointed in the sound quality especially for be able to hear speech clearly. I have tried multiple things true play etc software settings. after the latest app nonsense wonder if I should scrap my investment of Sonos as I can’t seem to get a clear sound if setup for my tv which is in a room with high ceilings. Before I do I wanted to see if there might be any solutions to this from some one at Sonos and is there some where I can go to see it action.

Finished basement and a challenge for the ERA 300’s as I cannot use stands (kids running around).   My question/concern is where I need to mount the 300’s will True Play fix any spacing issues with them mounted on opposite walls?   The attached is not 100% to scale, but close.  

Hi, I recently replaced my One SL rears with era 300 and when using xbox series x in games, no sound comes from the rear era 300s.  Is this a bug? I can confirm audio testing setup through the xbox audio setup provides sound, as does the dolby atmos app, but when I play games they have no sound.  Setup is arc soundbar, a pair of era 300 rear, eARC enabled on hdmi 2.1, tv is a new Samsung s90d with earc enabled. Pass-through enabled on xbox (same issue though when not enabled as I recall pass-through is only for apps anyway, and not games). Sonos app shows audio source as Dolby Atmos on the room screen. Xbox, sonos, and tv firmware all up to date via autocheck. Had no issues with the One SLs when they were used to produce rear sound. Any help?

Juste update last sonos firmware and sonos arc won’t connect with tv, this is third time and i’am done with products sonos.

Hi all,More issues with my Arc Ultra that I find very odd considering I never had this issue with the original Arc.The issue: Whenever I stream TV content from the Arc Ultra to other speakers in my house, that audio breaks up pretty consistently on the grouped speakers. I thought this was specific to my Apple TV 4K audio, but when I tested using the built-in apps on my LG OLED C1 TV, the same issue happens.However, when I stream audio from the Sonos App or using Apple Airplay, everything sounds and works fine. Could this possibly be due to an issue with the Arc Ultra?

How to connect my Samsung QN75Q900 TV, Dish Hooper, and Arc Ultra/On the QN75Q900 TV box the eARC port is an “In” not an “Out” which I believe would allow me to connect to the ARC Ultra soundbar.  The Dish Hooper box only has HDMI which use as an output to connect to the QN75Q900 and there is an Optical (Digital Audio Out)

Dear all,I bought myself a sonos Ray to connect it to my Xgimi mogo 2 pro beamer. The beamer only has a HDMI output but i assumed i could use the sonos optical audio adapter to convert the HDMI signal to the optical port of the Sonos Ray. It doesn’t work. Could there be another solution for this problem? is there a way to convert the HDMI audio signal to optical so i can use the Ray? Thank you! 

My setup is as Follow . Sonos Arc , Sub 3 , 2 x era 300, ace and roam.tomorrow I Will Get arc Ultra . Must I Rest all Boxes or only the arc . Paaring Button and power cable and then is reset ?can I take the Same power cable from arc and use for arc Ultra ?  Many thanks 

I have tried everything to alter the outcome of the skips and/or audio drop outs but to no avail. I have changed the tv, the hdmi cables, checked connections, resets, etc. This Beam Gen 2 has this random issue where it drops the sound for a fraction of a second, like a skipping record, and then won’t do it again for random intervals. Sometimes it does it every 5-10 minutes and other times it won’t do it for an hour or 2. It’s so random, so obnoxious.The skips happen at random times that aren’t pushing the system or what have you. The volume level makes no difference nor does the material being watched have any effect. It doesn’t ever seem to do it with music streaming that I can think of so that was useful in the process of elimination. But that’s about it as far as narrowing it down. As I said, I didn’t just change out the hdmi cables (which I did 5 times now, I even went out and bought some “special” ones because I was told by a sound guy that was the issue). Hello, I bought last week two Sonos Ace (black and white) thinking that it was possible to use them to watch tv together with my partner. But NO, is not the case. Unfortunately is not possible. I have an LG G4 OLED TV paired with a Sonos Arc soundbar, which needs to be controlled through a Crestron Home system. The soundbar is connected to the TV via HDMI 1 eARC port. The TV alone, without the soundbar, is controlled by Crestron Home without any issues. However, when I connect the soundbar, the only audio function that works through Crestron is Mute, and there is no volume control. As a result, the client, despite having an automation system, has to use the TV remote to adjust the volume. All firmware on both the Sonos and the TV is up to date, and I have also tried changing the HDMI cables. I would appreciate any ideas or if anyone has had a similar experience.

I have just ordered the new sub / Era 300 x 2 / Arc Ultra to upgrade from an original playbar/original sub and Sonos one surrounds. At the moment the playbar is connected via optical fibre to my sky q box (if I connected to my tv I got all sorts of lip synch issues). Could anyone tell me from experience the best way to set up this new kit to enable me to get the best possible audio. MyTV is a Samsung S95BA 65 Thank you

So I recently (silly me) upgraded to the latest firmware -Version 16.6 (build 83.1-61240)Hardware Version 1.27.1.11-2.2 Ever since my arc would randomly reboot. It’s connected to a QN85B Samsung TV via eARC. When the problem occurs audio stops and the arc LED flashes white (booting) and then the TV switches back to eARC. I discussed with Sonos support after sending diagnostics (diags aren’t very helpful, because they are only since last boot, so doesn’t catch the problem). They advised that it was because I’m running a piHole and blocking msmetrics.ws.sonos.com I have selected in the Sonos app not to allow Usage Data Sharing, which is what this URL is for. But I guess it doesn’t care and keeps doing it, right? Hoorah for privacy… I find it disturbing that even though I’ve opted out of usage data sharing, they still send it and if they can’t they will reboot themselves randomly. Posting this here to save others time as I couldn’t find any hits on this issue. Hopefully someone from Sonos

Recently added to Playbar and Sub 2 Era 100 speakers however since the Playbar will not create surround, I ordered a Beam Gen 2. Question - Will Sub Gen 1 work with the Beam 2, Era 100 to create the Surround? I know how the apps now work, but hoping when the Beam 2 arrives, it will all finally work. Thankls

Hi,I have an Sonos amp , Sonos arc and ceiling speakers that are not Sonos . The TV automatically connects to the Sonos arc when I turn on the TV . However, I have to go into the Sonos app and then activate the ceiling speakers to accompany the arc. Is there a way that both the arc and the ceiling speakers are automatically connected to the TV when I turn it on? ThanksBren

Hi I have the above setup connected to a beam gen2 via arc ,A sub mini and 2 Era100s as a surround pair. if I play a streaming app I get Dolby 5.1 or Atmos showing on Sonos app. If I play a blue ray or dvd I only see stereo pcm. The tv has auto, bypass , pcm settings and the blue ray player has hdmi as either auto or pcm. I have tried many combinations but it never changes from stereo pcm. 

Hi all,ideally I’d like to use my bookshelf speakers with a turntable utilising the amp. This is in the same room as my tv with a beam, can I not use my bookshelf speakers to provide surround sound and then when I’m playing vinyl utilise the bookshelf speakers? 

I have a set up including an ARC front and center with a SUB(gen 4)  and two 300 series surround speakers in my great room. I am having trouble hearing any of the dialogue with movies sports etc, the voices are faint and when I turn it up the bass and surrounding music is so loud it is unbearable for others in the rest of the house. I have done all of the room set up programming including TRU sound and also changed the sound height levels doesn't seem to help. any ideas?
