Does anybody have a list of what specific 2.4 GHz network settings are required to have my Sonos sub hook up to my Sonos arc? The sub is GEN three. Arc is an older model. The sub used to work just fine. I did not do any auto update updates nor did I Change any wireless settings. Somehow it just suddenly stopped working. When I connect the sub to the 2.4 GHz network it shows as an item in my list then it lets me add it to my arc. It immediately stops working and then I get an error message Soonest wants me to wire the connection, which would be a complete pain in my balls. Anybody have any ideas I can try. Thank you in advance for your time.

The Sub connects via a private 5 GHz connection from the soundbar to the subwoofer. Even if the Arc is wired, you need to turn on WiFi for the Arc or it is not going to connect.
Is your Arc wired, do you have the wifi turned off? It needs to be on for normal use.
Are all your devices and app up-to-date? Problems can occur if there’s a version mismatch. Or, as support has suggested, temporarily connect by Ethernet cable and see if you or support can trouble-shoot that way.
Just to get everyone up to speed this is my configuration:
Asus Zen mesh network With a 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency running. Both frequencies are turned on at the wireless access point. The arc is connected via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. I can see the MAC address of the unit on my router. I can also see that the subwoofer is connected to the 2.4 GHz network on my Router. When I go to pair the subwoofer with the arc, it appears just fine. Then when I go to add the subwoofer to the system, I get an error. Message saying cannot connect. I’ve already gone through multiple calls with technical support. They cannot resolve the issue other than to tell me to wire the unit. I also noticed that the subwoofer has its own ethernet port. Can I plug that in via POE to get it to connect correctly?
Twice now you posted that support suggests wiring the Sub via Ethernet. Why not try that, at least to try to trouble-shoot?
POE is not supported on Sub, as I understand it.
You can connect SUB to a PoE port on a switch or router. The network ports will figure out that SUB does not use the power connection and everything will be fine.
We cannot rule out the possibility of a 5GHz failure in ARC or SUB.

Do you have multiple APs? It could be an ARP cache (used to improve WiFi performance) and/or ARP poison issue when the Sub IP address moves to the Arc ethernet address.
After you try to bond Sub to Arc, and see the process has failed in the App, what is your next step? I’m thinking leave for a while , then force close the App on your phone, and power cycle the Arc, then the Sub, and then open App, see if its bonded.
