I wish that you had not Factory Reset everything because this greatly increases your work complexity.
First, read through the compatibility discussion and make sure that your SONOS components are compatible with the SONOS controller you are using.
As @buzz said it’s too bad you factory reset all your speakers. By doing so All Sonos reset to their native S2 and S1 compatibility. If you had just unplugged all your Sonos and setup your new internet gear with the same SSID and Password Sonos would have reconnected or at least had minimal issues.
From your profile your main issue is the Play:5 Gen1 being only S1 compatible. All other speakers are S1 and Sonos App (S2) compatible. Unless the Play:5 (Gen1) has tremendous sentimental value, I’d consider at least looking for a used Play:5 (Gen2) to put all Sonos on the Sonos App (S2). IMO you’ll more satisfied in the long run.
Most routers allow you to set up your own network name and password. This gives you the opportunity to keep your olde network name and password, so the system will not notice the router change.
Also, you should have rebooted everything on the network after replacing the router. For phone/pads you can briefly switch to Airplane mode.
cheers all, I'm not the most advanced so appreciate all advice, thank you for taking the time to reply,
i only reset the beam and the Sonos plat one’s to get the TV working, couldn’t connect the sub, it was not locating,
I will try again tomorrow when i have more time.
where i was lost is all my set up worked on S1 apart from the Era100 that i was starting to upgrade with, that was on S2, but when i have tried to set up now they are all going to S2,
more annoying at the moment is it keeps picking my Move up, and that will not connect, i try and connect another and again the move keep popping up but again will not connect,
so i intoned to search Utube today and completely turn everything off and start again, and if that doesn’t work buy some more new gen, although i am considering selling all and changing if anyone wants to advise i am always appreciative of advise.
Cheers
Brian
