Had a network of 2 x Sonos 1 SL connected via wifi to my Apple TV which is streaming shows and music played on my Samsung TV. Since I added my Sonos Arc, there is no sound when I stream Kayo or try to listen to Spotify. Everything else is ok (Apple TV and music, Netflix, Amazon prime etc) just cannot get any sound whatsoever despite changing the sound settings on Apple TV to stereo (not using Dolby) as advised on previous threads.I then reset my Apple TV (HDMI cables etc) and updated all apps and Kayo and Spotify worked initially but the next day it’s gone back to no sound.  Weird and annoying. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello,  My Sonos Playbase stopped working (very frequent issues when starting a playlist from PC and phone). I reset it and tried to create a new system and add it without success. The setup procedures fails each time when the app tries to identify the Playbase with the chime pin: either the sound will not be emitted by the Playbase, or it will start for 0.3 second and then stop.I tried different things and all failed:Reset and then direct connection to the router via ethernet and setup via Android app: fails at chime pin step Reset and then direct connection to the router via ethernet and setup via iPhone app: fails at chime pin step Reset and then wifi connection and setup via Android app: fails when trying to connect to the temp wifi Reset and then wifi connection and setup via iPhone app: fails when trying to connect to the temp wifi I tried to reset then shut down then restart: same behaviour I also tried to do that before or after adding my 2 Play:1 to the system. Same behaviour.

Hi,  I have a Sonos beam on my TV, it’s work very well i’m very happy with it.Few day ago i bought an Sonos One SL, i group it with my Beam. It’s Work well when play Spotify or radio sound. But when i play Netflix, Youtube, Playstation my Sonos One is directly 2 second late from my Beam.My Beam is connected on internet by an Ethernet cable directly on my rooter I tried to reboot all my stuff, connect/unconnect, looking in App nothing fixe it.In the futur i would like to complet my setup with a second Sonos One Sl for a surrounding sound, but if there is always 2 second offset with my beam is a big problem.Any idea how to keep my One and Beam together ?

Hi. Yesterday I bought a Sonos Arc sound bar and I am very happy with the sound quality. It is the best sound that I have heard on a sound bar to date.I have a Panasonic TV that supports eARC and sometimes the audio is muted when I change TV channels and I have to go into my TV settings and change the HDMI Audio Format settings. Does anyone know the best setting for my TV out of:Auto (default)PCMPass ThroughDolby Audio (this is the setting I use most of the time) I also have the Dolby Atmos setting switched on in the TV settings. Can anyone please advise? Thanks.

I have had some Spotify-connect issues since I replaced my old router last week. I’ve never experienced any issues previously. I can easliy use Spotify via the Sonos app however i’m not able to use Spotify directly (using my Sonos system obviously, working just fine on iPhone). What I’ve done so far:Router restart/reboot serveral times Deleting both Sonos & Spotify app Removed Spotify via the Sonos app Deleted and adding my entire Sonos system to the Sonos appWhen I plug out the powercable on my router I’m lucky to find my Sonos devices. The next day it’s all gone again  What to do??  Do I really need to buy the Sonos Boost? Regards

Hello,When I’m using Sonos optical to hdmi converter on my Sonos Beam soundbar, there is a delay with my other speakers. This doesn’t happen if I’m using direct HDMI cable connection from my TV to the Beam, or when I’m streaming from the Sonos app, or over Airplay. My setup:Sonos Beam2x Ikea SymfoniskI’m using the converter to have another optical audio source as an input to the Sonos Beam.Could you please help me out?

I am setting up a Sony XBR65A8G, signal source is Apple TV 4K and using ARC from the TV to the Sonos ARC. The Sonos app reports only stereo PCM. I have tried fiddling with the Sony TV settings, to no avail. Any ideas? someone familiar with XBR65A8G?

Topic says it all!

Hi all, I've just replaced my TV and the Playbase won't recognise the Hisense remote. The old (Samsung) remote worked fine though. In the connect app, I enter the remote setup, but it won't recognise the remote at the first step (vol+).I've tried all the obvious things, moving closer, new batteries, even removed the clear sticker from the IR lens (it's brand new remember)... Remote works fine with the TV too - no surprises there.Any suggestion?

Hi guys,Hoping one of you can help me with an issue I have just ran into.. I currently have a Sonos Arc and two Sonos One SL’s for surround sound. All was working perfectly until one of the SL’s was accidentally unplugged and now my Sonos App can’t find either SL. I have tried everything from switching off and on (as Sonos troubleshoot says) to factory reset of them both. The factory reset works and I am able to add them back to my products, however, as soon as I attempt to set them up as a surround system, they drop connection again and won’t reconnect.I have gone through the above about 8 times now which is incredibly infruriating so any help would br extremely appreciated!

Hi, I have changed the arc from table top position to wall mount and I want to update this in the app.  but I can’t figure out how to access that info.  Hope someone can help.

I currently have a samsung frame above a fireplace. The wire for this is very well hidden down the side and under the carpet about 3 metres to the samsung one connect box. I’d really like to add some more speakers for films/music to the room and possibly a turntable. My predicament is that I can't start moving sockets etc as the room is wallpapered.I wondered how it would work if I had the following set up:Sonos Amp with HDMI into samsung one connect boxSonos Arc/Beam under TV ( can this connect via Sonos app as the tv one connect box will be connected to the amp? or do I need to directly connect the Soundbar to tv box via HDMI?2 Sonos Play 1 as rear speakers Sonos subwoofer My hope is that the Soundbar doesn't need to be connected with HDMI and can use the amp...but I don't know a great deal about these things so any advice would be  gratefully received

I have a sonos beam and two sonos SLs that I am trying to connect to my Sonos App. Whenever I need to reset my wifi router they seem to lose connection to the app. I have tried repeatedly unplugging my router, then the speakers, and then plug back in my router then once the wifi is back up and running I will plug back my speakers. I have done the hard resets on the speakers as well. Sometimes I have luck connecting all of them and then I’m not able to set them up as a surround sound speaker. And then the next second none of the speakers are showing up in my app. Any help would be much appreciated!

Audio cuts out and comes back while I am playing a game on the Xbox Series S. I am playing on a Hisense U8G tv. I have the Xbox plugged into HDMI port 4 for the 120hz. I have the Sonos Beam plugged into HDMI port 3 with the eARC. My setting on the xbox are HDMI audio Stereo Uncompressed (I have also tried dolby digital). The xbox is set to 1440p 120hz. As for the tv settings, HDMI Format Enhanced, audio output eARC, and digital audio out is PCM. I have tried different settings and different hdmi cables and keep getting the same issue. Is there something I am missing or is something wrong with the beam. Thanks

I’m trying to connect my Sub to an Arc and it’s not working. Been through other threads and troubleshooting steps (rebooting router, factory resets, connect via Ethernet, etc) without success. Summited a diagnostic (845368739) hoping to get some assistance.  As some background the sub was connected and working for a week with a new Arc. (It had been working for a year prior with a playbar.)  At some point last week sound stopped coming from the sub, which led to the attempts to get it working again with the arc. Wi-Fi is enabled on the sub and arc and they’re 4ft apart when I try to connect.  please let me know any additional info needed.

Can I connect the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable to the Beam Gen 2?

Sounds great in general but occasionally with dialogue there is a buzzing sound--typically when a young woman is speaking at a specific pitch, or when someone is talking over the phone or a police radio in a movie. This was happening with The Guilty (Jake Gyllenhaal) on Netflix which was very annoying since he was a 911 operator always on the phone. When I switch from Dolby sound to PCM the buzzing goes away. Beam is about a month old and since this is just an intermittent problem I may be able to live with it but thought I would see if there were any easy fixes to check out. Connection is HDMI from Hisense H8G.

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-52D64U Could you please advise how to turn the internal speakers off on this model so that I can attach a sound bar.  (If this is the problem).  The sound bar is connected to the TV through the digital audio output terminal but will not play sound.  (in absence of HDMI-arc.)  The only audio adjustment is the variable or fixed option mentioned in previous discussions and changing to variable doesn't get me sound on the Beam.  There is no other setting on the TV menu.  SONOS has determined through diagnostics that the Beam is connected to my TV properly through the digital optic output but I still get no sound from the beam

I used to have my Sonos Amp connected to my Pro-ject turntable (debut III with preamp). I moved my Amp away and recently also got a Sonos Port. I connected my turntable to the port and want to use it as an input for the record player. But the audio keeps dropping, at some point my system goes total haywire. Most Sonos devices totally drop out and are missing from the system and after a while come back. Today it even when they came back claimed two S2 products (Ikea speakers) where incompatible with S2 and after a few more minutes they did show up normally again. This is my setup:Pro-ject recordplayer line into Sonos PortSonos Amp Sonos Arc + Sub + 2 Sonos Ones SL2 Sonos Ikea speakersSonos OneSonos Play:1Sonos RoamSonos Boost The port is NOT connected to any receiver and just functioning as a line in for the turntable.I try and play the line in on the Arc, Play:1 and/or Amp. Lots of drops of the sound until it all goes haywire. When it goes haywire it seems like mostly the products who us

Hi there, I’m trying to set up surround sound using 2 x play 1 and a beam. It works great when playing music but if I stream Netflix I only get sound from the beam. I’ve checked and the beam is receiving Dolby digital 5.1 audio in but there is still no sound coming from either play 1.

I have just taken the plunge and ordered a Beam Gen 2 to replace original Beam in a Home Theater setup with two Play:1 providing surround.  This will release the original Beam to be used with our bedroom tv providing much needed sound improvement.  Will I need to reinstall all from scratch or just add the new device and associate the surround speakers with it and then just change the romm for the original Beam?  No real clarity for such a move in support search

I have had my 2 Play:1s connected to a Playbar for several years with no issues. The system used a Bridge wired directly to my router. I recently removed the bridge and switched to the Sonos2 app (the Bridge is not compatible with the S2 app). Now I have no sound from the Play:1s. There is a Warning in the System Info under the Playbar listing which now states “Your wireless network will not support the use of a Sub or surrounds with your Playbar”. As stated, when using the Bridge and S1 app I did not have this problem. Can anyone please help?

Hi folks - I’ve recently purchased a Sonos Arc + two Sonos 1 speakers, and set them up with a Vizio P659-G1, and a Roku Ultra 4800R.One thing I noticed was that the I couldn’t hear the surround speakers very well when watching any content on the Roku. I also noticed that if I played Spotify via the Sonos app I could hear the surround speakers really well, but if I play the Spotify app via the Roku, I’m only getting Stereo PCM sound through it… And whenI play Netflix, or Amazon Prime, I see “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1” on my Sonos app.I started reading some threads here about Roku devices, and encoding, and what not, and I figured it might be easier to just ask a question here.Should the Spotify app on my Roku only output Stereo PCM sound? Or is that a limitation because of Roku or my TV?

Hey guys  Super excited to get arc for Xmas. Setting it up and had issues with it not being recognised etc etc. Googling sorted this and managed to get it set up.  When working through the menus etc I came across this, I think we’ve been sold a return, what do you think? It cabs from a well known high street store.

I currently have an arc, sub gen 3 and two 1 SL’s setup for home theater in my family room, Sonos 1 in adjacent kitchen, Beam gen 2 in  master bedroom, boost and Move in kids playroom and a Five in the garage. I will be setting up my pool house and outdoor sound this spring. I have already purchased sonos Amp, sonos sonance outdoor pair for under pool house eaves, a second gen 3 sub for inside the pool house, and a Sonos 1 for inside the pool house for the convenience of voice control for wife and guests. My question is this, Will I be able to group the sonance pair and amp with the Sonos 1 and sub as one “Room” OR will the amp, and sonance be one “room” and the Sonos 1 and sub be a seperate “room”? Reason I am asking is I have found google assistant voice control to be finicky when selecting “rooms” to cast to. S2 in app experience is straight forward and easy to use, but I am more concerned with voice control and “Hey Google”. Thanks for any input!
